From: http://www.coiradio.com/library/library/quran/light/light_19/076/01-04.htm

No. 76 (verses 1-4)

1. Has there not been over Man a long period of Time when he was a thing not worth mentioning?

2. Surely We created Man from a drop of mingled semen (chromsomes), in order to try him: so We gave him hearing and sight.

3. Surely We showed him the Way: whether he be grateful or ungrateful (is up to him) .

4. We have prepared Chains, Yokes and a Blazing Fire for the Rejecters.

Blogger comment:
In verse 1 man was not created for long time as proved from the study of the universe. Amshag in the Arab liguage give you literally and figuratively the chromosomes. In verse 3 man has the freedom of choice although God has the right to punish him severely for his arrogance since his acceptance is very highly rewarded.

5." Verily, the Righteous drink of a cup; the mixture of which is (like) camphor."

6. " A fountain, where the servants of Allah drink, flows in abundance (wherever they wish) "

7." They fulfill (their) vows and fear a Day, the chastisement of which is widespread."

8. " And they feed, for the love of Allah, the indigent, the orphan, and the captive."

9. (Saying) : " We feed you for the sake of Allah alone: no reward do we desire from you, nor thanks."

10. " We only fear from our Lord a Day, frowningly severe."

11. " Therefore, Allah will guard them against the evil of that Day, and will grant over them a Light of Beauty and a (blissful) joy."

Blogger comment:
Thus the people who followed the evil deeds God punish them strongly.

12. " And Allah will reward them for their patience, with a garden and clothes of silk (in Heaven) ."

13. " Reclining therein upon raised thrones, they will see (find) there neither the severe (heat of) the sun nor the hitter cold (of the moon) ."

14. " And the shades of the (Garden) will come low over them, and the bunches (of fruit) , there, will hang low in humility (being easy to pick) ."

15. " And amongst them will be passed vessels of silver and goblets of crystal."

16. " (Bright as) crystal, made of silver; they will determine the appropriate measure."

17. " And they will be given to drink, there, a cup (of pure drink) mixed with Zanjabeel (ginger) ."

18. " (From) a spring, there, named Salsabeel."

19. " And round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness) : if you saw them, you would think them scattered pearls."

20. " And when you look, you will see a Bliss and a Realm Magnificent."

21. " Upon them will be Green Garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, and they will be adorned with Bracelets of silver and their Lord will give to them to drink of a Drink Pure and Holy."

22. " Verily this is a reward for you, and your endeavor is accepted and appreciated.

If Muhammad (PBUH) was a mere social reformer he would not go on the details of heaven and hell like described in the Quran. One of the miracles of the Quran is proportion, for example God talk about his glory, creation and his names in very large portion in the Quran that is typical of your thinking if the author of the Quran is God. If a human worte the Quran he would not go in all the details of heaven and hell as in the Quran, he may just mention 2 verses here and there. Day of the reserrection conusme a lot of verses of the Quran as you would expect if these are God words. You can go on and on about that.

23. "Surely We, Ourselves, have revealed the Holy Qur'an to you, revealing (it) in stages."

24. "Therefore be patient and constant to the command of your Lord, and obey not from among them a guilty or an ungrateful one."

25. "And remember the name of your Lord morning and evening,"

26. And during the night prostrate thyself to Him; and glorify Him (a) long (part of the) night

Blogger comment:
It comes down again to the simple mesage of God: the Quran is his miracle, it has the arguments of God of being his own speech and through reciting the Quran we are worshipping God and it has the moral and legal laws that we ought to live by.

27. " They love the fleeting life and put away behind them a Day (that will be) hard and grievous."

28. " It is We who created them and strengthened their joints and when We will We can substitute the like of them (in their place) by a complete change".

29. " Surely this is an admonishment, that whosoever will, (taking this straight way) may take a path unto his Lord".

30. " Yet you will not, unless Allah Wills; surely Allah is All-knowing, All-wise".

31. " He will admit to His Mercy whom He will, but (as for the) evildoers, He has prepared a painful penalty."

Blogger comment:
The chapter ends by what it started man has the free will to accept the message of
God or reject it and since God made his message and arguments clear and protected the Quran since day one he has the right to reward highly those who believe and do the good and harshly punish the rejectors. The arguments of God are very strong through all over the Quran and the acceptance of God to  human back even if he was the greatest sinner in earth or the greatest blasphemous make no arguments to humans in the day of judgment against God. In fact God has democracy and he will let some of us speak at that day, those who would be just in presenting the human case. No human lawyer will be able to defend humans rejection given the great generosity of God to humans. Those who were much affected in this life God already promised them a lot in the second life if they just to believe and do good deeds for the few years we have in earth.
78: 38.The Day on which the Spirit (Gabriel) and the angels shall stand arrayed, they shall speak not except whom the All-merciful gives leave, and (who) speaks what is right.
