The Sea in the Quran

By: Maged Taman

The sea in the Quran is mentioned in relation to important information or similitude. It was not mentioned in a trivial or unimportant information like to say for example the sea so passes by the town so and so.

1- God honored us and carried us in the land and sea: he gave us the means to inhabit both form knowledge our brains are created to find or row materials needed for that.

17:70 Verily We have honored the children of Adam. We carry them on the land and the sea, and have made provision of good things for them, and have preferred them above many of those whom We created with a marked preferment.

2- God provided us with all the fresh and soft meat and the ornaments we wear:

16:14 And He it is Who hath constrained the sea to be of service that ye eat fresh meat from thence, and bring forth from thence ornaments which ye wear. And thou seest the ships ploughing it that ye (mankind) may seek of His bounty, and that haply ye may give thanks.

3- There are salted seas and non salted seas or rivers:
25:53 And He it is Who hath given independence to the two seas (though they meet); one palatable, sweet, and the other saltish, bitter; and hath set a bar and a forbidding ban between them.

27:61 Is not He (best) Who made the earth a fixed abode, and placed rivers in the folds thereof, and placed firm hills therein, and hath set a barrier between the two seas? Is there any God beside Allah? Nay, but most of them know not!

35:12 And two seas are not alike: this, fresh, sweet, food to drink, this (other) bitter, salt. And from them both ye eat fresh meat and derive the ornament that ye wear. And thou seest the ship cleaving them with its prow that ye may seek of His bounty, and that haply ye may give thanks.

4- There is barrier between seas: A great phenomenon is the barrier between seas that God mentioned in the Quran as a sign to us that the words of the Quran is his.

55:19 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet.

55:20 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other).

According to http://www.quranmiracles.com/articles.asp?id=47

A famous French oceanographer, J. Cousteau, gives the following account as a result of his studies in water barriers: “We studied the assertions by certain researchers about barriers separating seas, and noticed that the Mediterranean Sea had its own salinity and density and housed autochthonous fauna and flora. Then we examined the water of the Atlantic Ocean and discovered features entirely different from those of the Mediterranean Sea. According to our expectations, these two seas that merged in the strait of Gibraltar should present similar characteristics in terms of salinity, density and other properties. The two seas presented different features even though they were adjacent. This greatly puzzled us. An incredible barrier prevented the two seas from coming together. The same sort of a barrier had also been observed in Bab Al-Mandab in the Gulf of Aden connecting with the Red Sea. Subsequent to our observations, further researchers made it clear that the seas which had different characteristics had some barriers.” This fact that astounded oceanographers was revealed 14 centuries ago in the Quran. This aspect, not visible to the naked eye and appearing to be in conflict with the properties of water known to man, was first revealed to men in the Arabian peninsula, men who were not at all experienced in any sense with oceanography.

5- The water cycle is mentioned in the Quran*:

The Qur'an says in Surah Al-Hijr, Ch. No. 15, Verse No 22, it says that… ‘We send fecundating winds, winds impregnating, and cause rain to descend from the sky, and give you water in due measure’. The Arabic word 'Lawaaqi' used here, is the plural of 'laqi' derived from ‘laqaha’ which means ‘to impregnate or to fecundate’. The winds carrying the pollen - they impregnate the cloud and then rain falls. The wind causes the clouds to merge – there is condensation – there is lightning and rain falls from the clouds. The Qur'an describes the complete water cycle - how does the water evaporate, how it forms clouds, how it moves in the interior, how it falls down, how it flows back into the ocean in several places in great detail. It's mentioned in Surah Al Imran, Ch. No. 3, Verse No 9, in Surah Araf, Ch. No. 7, Verse No 57; In Surah Rad, Ch. No. 13, Verse No 17; In Surah Furqan, Ch. No. 25, Verse No 48 to 49; In Surah Fatir, Ch. No. 35, Verse No 9; In Surah Yasin, Ch. No. 36, Verse No 34; In Surah Jathiyah, Ch. No. 45, Verse No 5; In Surah Qaf, Ch. No. 50, Verse No 9 to 10; In Surah Waqiah, Ch. No. 56, Verse No 68 to 70; as well as in Surah Mulk, Ch. No. 67, Verse No 30. The Qur'an describes the Hydrology and Water cycle, in great detail.

6- The sea is mentioned 32 times and the land 13 see the coincidence:

Sea 32, Land 13

Sea + land = 32+13= 45

Sea = 32/45*100=71.11111111%

Land = 13/45*100 = 28.88888889%

Sea + land =100.00%

Modern science has only recently proven that the water covers 71.111% of the earth, while the land covers 28.889%.Is this a coincidence?

7- The sea mentioned in a great religious event the saving of the children of Israel:

2:50 And when We brought you through the sea and rescued you, and drowned the folk of Pharaoh in your sight.

10:90 And We brought the Children of Israel across the sea, and Pharaoh with his hosts pursued them in rebellion and transgression, till, when the (fate of) drowning overtook him, he exclaimed: I believe that there is no God save Him in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of those who surrender (unto Him).

8- God save us from the distress of the sea: he give us an example of near drowning and how we plea to God to save us. The same can be applied in similar situations. The thing about this similitude is that Muhammad never ride a ship and this similitude attest to the Author of the Quran is God.

10:22 He it is Who maketh you to go on the land and the sea till, when ye are in the ships and they sail with them with a fair breeze and they are glad therein, a storm wind reacheth them and the wave cometh unto them from every side and they deem that they are overwhelmed therein; (then) they cry unto Allah, making their faith pure for Him only; If Thou deliver us from this, we truly will be of the thankful.

17:67 And when harm toucheth you upon the sea, all unto whom ye cry (for succour) fail save Him (alone), but when He bringeth you safe to land, ye turn away, for man was ever thankless.

9- Similarly if to dive in the sea with very cloudy weather you will not see your hands: it is a similitude to explain how those who live astray from God live in darkness.

24:40 Or as darkness on a vast, abysmal sea. There covereth him a wave, above which is a wave, above which is a cloud. Layer upon layer of darkness. When he holdeth out his hand he scarce can see it. And he for whom Allah hath not appointed light, for him there is no light. -

10- The sea is also used to as a similitude to the words of God: if the seas was the ink to write the words of God they will be exhausted. this explain how much knowledge and wisdom God have.

18:109 Say: Though the sea became ink for the Words of my Lord, verily the sea would be used up before the Words of my Lord were exhausted, even though We brought the like thereof to help.

11- When we corrupt in the land and sea God punish us harshly:

30:41 Corruption doth appear on land and sea because of (the evil) which men's hands have done, that He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, in order that they may return.

Al Mahdi Al Muntazer or The Antichrist? : Flip The Coin.

By: Maged Taman

Before Jesus second coming, both Muslims and Christians through interpreting the prophecies of their religions, beleive of the coming of a world leader to stay for about 7 years.

For Muslims he is the Mahdi (The Awaited Divinely-Guided One) and for Chrisitans the Anti-Christ. For the Muslims he will pave the way to Jesus. For Christians he is the enemy of Jesus.

There is time of tribulation during part of this period Christians think it is done by the antichrist but Muslims believe it is due to people are going afar from God and undermining his invitation to come back to him.

Both agree he is a Political leader. For Muslims he will bring peace and Justice to the world. For Christians he would bring a false peace and chaos to earth.

The rupture that would occur as he comes to world politics is thought to happen where Christians will meet Jesus in the air (interpretation of the sudden absence of the church in the book of revelation). Muslims interpret that as Christians will voluntarily convert to Islam ( God Knows better).

So who is right. A simple way to know that is to flip the coin. However , to know with a much higher probability is to examine the Quran. If it is from God the Muslims are right , if it is false and not truly from God Christians are right.

The other way is to examine his message if it is like that of Jesus he is pro-Christ if the opposite he is the anti-Christ. Make the thinking yourself no one will take your place in heaven or will give you his.

The third way is to go through the prophecies of both religions and compare it by the current geopolitics of the world.

If you feel lazy just flip the coin and see what he turns up to be.

Some Verses of The Quran of The Day of Judgement

Gathere from: http://www.islamicity.com/

4:87 (Picktall) Allah! There is no God save Him. He gathereth you all unto a day of Resurrection whereof there is no doubt. Who is more true in statement than Allah?

27:87 (Picktall) And (remind them of) the Day when the Trumpet will be blown, and all who are in the heavens and the earth will start in fear, save him whom Allah willeth. And all come unto Him, humbled.

(42:45) 42:45 (Picktall) And thou wilt see them exposed to (the Fire), made humble by disgrace, and looking with veiled eyes. And those who believe will say: Lo! the (eternal) losers are they who lose themselves and their housefolk on the Day of Resurrection. Lo! are not the wrong-doers in perpetual torment?

(5:36) 5:36 (Picktall) As for those who disbelieve, lo! if all that is in the earth were theirs, and as much again therewith, to ransom them from the doom on the day of Resurrection, it would not be accepted from them. Theirs will be a painful doom.

4:42 (Picktall) On that day those who disbelieved and disobeyed the messenger will wish that they were level with the ground, and they can hide no fact from Allah. -

(5:119) 5:119 (Picktall) Allah saith: This is a day in which their truthfulness profiteth the truthful, for theirs are Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they are secure for ever, Allah taking pleasure in them and they in Him. That is the great triumph.

(6:22) 6:22 (Picktall) And on the day We gather them together We shall say unto those who ascribed partners (unto Allah): Where are (now) those partners of your make believe?

(6:130) 6:130 (Picktall) O ye assembly of the jinn and humankind! Came there not unto you messengers of your own who recounted unto you My tokens and warned you of the meeting of this your day? They will say: We testify against ourselves. And the life of the world beguiled them. And they testify against themselves that they were disbelievers.

(7:51) 7:51 (Picktall) Who took their religion for a sport and pastime, and whom the life of the world beguiled. So this day We have forgotten them even as they forgot the meeting of this day and as they used to deny Our tokens.

(10:60) 10:60 (Picktall) And what think those who invent a lie concerning Allah (will be their plight) upon the day of Resurrection? Lo! Allah truly is Bountiful toward mankind, but most of them give not thanks.

(45:27) 45:27 (Picktall) ----and on the day when the Hour riseth, on that day those who follow falsehood will be lost.

45:28 (Picktall) And thou wilt see each nation crouching, each nation summoned to its record. (And it will be said unto them): This day ye are requited what ye used to do

(45:34) 45:34 (Picktall) And it will be said: This day We forget you, even as ye forgot the meeting of this your day; and your habitation is the Fire, and there is none to help you.

(45:35) 45:35 (Picktall) This, forasmuch as ye made the revelations of Allah a jest, and the life of the world beguiled you. Therefor this day they come not forth from thence, nor can they make amends

46:5 (Picktall) And who is further astray than those who, instead of Allah, pray unto such as hear not their prayer until the day of Resurrection, and are unconscious of their prayer, -

(46:20) 46:20 (Picktall) And on the day when those who disbelieve are exposed to the Fire (it will be said): Ye squandered your good things in the life of the world and sought comfort therein. Now this day ye are rewarded with the doom of ignominy because ye were disdainful in the land without a right and because ye used to transgress.

10:93 (Picktall) And We verily did allot unto the Children of Israel a fixed abode, and did provide them with good things; and they differed not until knowledge came unto them. Lo! thy Lord will judge between them on the day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they used to differ.

(11:103) 11:103 (Picktall) Lo! herein verily there is a portent for those who fear the doom of the Hereafter. That is a day unto which mankind will be gathered, and that is a day that will be witnessed.

(11:105) 11:105 (Picktall) On the day when it cometh no soul will sneak except by His permission; some among them will be wretched, (others) glad.

(14:44) 14:44 (Picktall) And warn mankind of a day when the doom will come upon them, and those who did wrong will say: Our Lord! Reprieve us for a little while. We will obey Thy call and will follow the messengers. (It will be answered): Did ye not swear before that there would be no end for you?

(14:48) 14:48 (Picktall) On the day when the earth will be changed to other than the earth, and the heavens (also will be changed) and they will come forth unto Allah, the One, the Almighty.

(16:25) 16:25 (Picktall) That they may bear their burdens undiminished on the day of Resurrection, with somewhat of the burdens of those whom they mislead without knowledge. Ah! evil is that which they bear!

(16:27) 16:27 (Picktall) Then on the day of Resurrection He will disgrace them and will say: Where are My partners, for whose sake ye opposed (My Guidance)? Those who have been given knowledge will say: Disgrace this day and evil are upon the disbelievers,

(16:63) 16:63 (Picktall) By Allah, We verily sent messengers unto the nations before thee, but the devil made their deeds fair seeming unto them. So be is their patron this day, and theirs will be a painful doom.

(16:111) 16:111 (Picktall) On the day when every soul will come pleading for itself, and every soul will be repaid what it did, and they will not be wronged.

(18:10018:100 (Picktall) On that day We shall present hell to the disbelievers, plain to view,

(19:37) 19:37 (Picktall) The sects among them differ: but woe unto the disbelievers from the meeting of an awful day.

(19:38) 19:38 (Picktall) See and hear them on the day they come unto Us! Yet the evil-doers are today in error manifest.

(19:39) 19:39 (Picktall) And warn them of the day of anguish when the case hath been decided. Now they are in a state of carelessness, and they believe not.

(19:95) 19:95 (Picktall) And each one of them will come unto Him on the day of Resurrection, alone.

(22:17) 22:17 (Picktall) Lo! those who believe (this Revelation), and those who are Jews, and the Sabaeans and the Christians and the Magians and the idolaters--Lo! Allah will decide between them on the day of Resurrection. Lo! Allah is Witness over all things.

Are the Arab/Muslim Tyrants Muslims?

By: Maged Taman

I personally think they are not. Let me give you some of my reasoning:
1- They care most of their power, control and welfare and not about their people.
2- They will do any thing to stay in power.
3- They oppressed their people for decades.
4- Many of the Jihadi/Extremists came from their prisons.
5- I remember when I was in medical school their powerful police dragged one of them at about 3 am. I could not do any thing for him and I slept like a rat, putting enough covers over my head.
6- Surprisingly this young man was fighting for the ten commandments that the Jews and Christians have in their holy books.
7- God never thought of us to form the purist societies or to be totally sinless but to strive to follow his path.
8- When Moses (PBUH) brought the Israeli to talk to God he brought the best 70 of their men.
9- In order to please God we have to get the best of us in the governments.
10- The Arab tyrants had some news and suspicions that I may be Al Mahdi Al Muntazer for about 4 years or so now. They worked with the west to suppress my voice.
11- They did not confront me and they could not.
12- They even did not let their so called Muslim scholars to talk to me. Even out of interest to question me.
13- They knew that God gave me Taman Health Plan and Moral Utopia project that you can read in my website.
14- Even as a respect to the prophet of Islam they should have tried to see if I am Al Mahdi.
15- I have master degree, Ph.D and three Boards in Medicine. I am very mentally stable and wise person. Ask the people knew me through the years.
16- The American government is very likely knew well who I am. They have nothing against me other wise they would have put me on trial.
17- They know my opinions about the Jihadists. They and the Arab tyrants have created them.
18- They are actually doing their best that people do not know much about me.
19- Though they like to talk about freedom they love their Arba tyrants/slaves who have no one cheap as us to them.
20 The Muslim scholars who are standing with them will answer God in the day of judgment.
21- We are at the end of time listen to many American pastors in America in the night radios. Jesus second coming is in few years. The evidences are just overwhelming.
22- Al jazzera false news was playing the voice of Arab freedom but limited by what the Katar dynasty want. They never answered me or tried to interview me. They do not want the masses to know me.

I mostly do not like to question someone faith, but their sins and injustices are that great that we have to have a conference and find out if the Arab tyrants are Muslims or not. The American government told them I could be El Mahdi Al Muntazer so they did their best to have my name unknown in the Arab/Muslim world.

Is Allah The God Of The Bible?

By: Maged Taman

It is a very important question if not the most important question of our time. For Muslims he is the same God of the Bible for a lot of reasons:

1- The authority of the God of the Bible you feel it in the speech of God in Quran.

2- The Allah of Quran requires the same creed of faith of one God as the old testament. It is the most important for God is this main point of creed. You would expect that from a God who created the universe and own it.

3- The Allah in Quran is telling us the same story of the creation and Satan rebellion against God and temptation of Adam and Eve.

4- The Allah of Quran warns us of Satan and evil like he does in the Bible.

5- The Allah of Quran praises his prophets and many mentioned with their stories in the Quran and Bible. Check Spelling

6- The Allah of Quran has the praise of Jesus (PBUH) like the new testament. However he explains the confusion about his true humanity. He did not hate Jesus for that confusion in fact he promised his second coming and that Jesus will establish the kingdom of God in Earth.

7- The God of the Bible had prophecies about prophet Muhammad which came true as well the Quran itself.

8- The Allah of Quran promised that the Quran will be kept as such with no change and it was kept as he promised. He did not promise that in the Bible.

9- The Allah of Quran and God of the Bible promised that will be one nation at end of time and he know the history.

10- The God of the Quaran has prophecies in Quran or through his messenger that came true. The same the Allah of Bible has done.

11- The name Allah was used by Jesus himself, Allah and God both are one and the same.

12- The God of dreams and vision that come true that can happen to any people even the pagans is the same Allah of Quran.

13- The God of Moses (PBUH) and the ten commandments is the same as the Allah and the ten commandments that are in the Quran.

14- The God and Allah both are promising heaven and hell. Both have the same because both are one and the same.

15- The Allah and God had the prophecy in both Islam and the Bible that the Jews will come to Israel in the end of time and they are there now after 2000 years of dispersion.

16- The Allah of Quran and the Bible has the same attributes in both Books of justice, mercy, strength and so forth.

17- The Allah of Quran as the God of the Bible guide us to his way through his prophets, holy books and true guidance. The latter is achieved when one is sincere and wants God to direct him to the right religion.

18- The Allah of Quran as the God of Bible his ways are the same. He punish people when they turn against his commandments by enemies or natural disasters.

19- The Allah of Quran as the God of Bible the ways to reach him are the same to pray and praise him as well obey his commandments.

20- The Allah of Quran as the God of the Bible he would forgive all your sins if you come back to him. He is very strong and capable and very kind and compassionate. We are the one who are choosing which attributes of God we would like to see.

As you see too much in common in both Allah and God that it would be very difficult to think they are not one and the same. If Muhammad would have imitated the God of the Bible it would be very strange. Why he would do that and if he believes there is God would not he be afraid of the consequences?. If he Does not believe that there is God there why he would be such faithful person and give faith to over 1.4 billion people. Whey would we continue to believe him as Muslims. If Satan has inspired him with the Quran it would make Satan a very nice guy that want to spread morality and have the God of the Bible worshiped by the whole world. The Quran is just too difficult for a human to create that makes the Allah of Quran a very true God and make Muslims believe the God of the Bible is the one and the same God of the Quran. Christians have the struggle to believe the Quran since they took Jesus as his son second to misinterpretation of their gospels. For Muslims there is freedom of faith and we are sharing Christians in promoting the teachings of Jesus and his second coming.

How Contradictions In The Quran Came About?

By: Maged Taman

I doubt bad intention by all the people who are posing the contradictions against the Quran. I can not exclude bias but I could have done the same if I am non-Muslim particularly with the geopolitical struggles over the years. However, if we are really searching for God we have to forget about what is our original faith, country or political views. The common causes for the findings of potential contradictions in the Quran:

1- Linguistic barrier: particularly the translation may not reflect correctly the meaning of words.

2- Half-full and half-empty glass: you can say about the same cup it is half-full and/or half-empty. It is like in Quran in a verse "man is created in suffering" and in another "the here-now life is a false-enjoyment". Both are right statements.

3- Two different situations: are made contradictions like John ate an apple and John ate an orange. The fact can be he ate at certain time the apple and in another time the orange.

4- Comparing the Bible to Quran: Both are God's books. But the more accurate is the Quran. No bias, the question is: The Quran from God or not. I tried to disprove it and I failed severely. Then I enjoyed its power, music, comfort, miracles and truth. I enjoyed reading the bible since you feel he is the same God of the Quran.

5:48 And unto thee have We revealed the scripture with the truth, confirming whatever scripture was before it, and a watcher over it. So judge between them by that which Allah hath revealed, and follow not their desires away from the truth which hath come unto thee. For each We have appointed a divine law and a traced out way. Had Allah willed He could have made you one community. But that He may try you by that which He hath given you (He hath made you as ye are). So vie one with another in good works. Unto Allah ye will all return, and He will then inform you of that wherein ye differ.

5- Failure to appreciate multiplicity: like man is created of dust, water, mud, clay, sperm,.... Like the orange you can say it has cellulose,it has vitamin C, it has sugars....

6- Failure to appreciate the default: like God's wrath is the default before he sent most of his messengers and so forth.

7- Failure to understand the balance: between his compassion and wrath & his goodness and justice & his love and hate.

8- Failure to understand graduation: Muhammad (PBUH) was ordered to warn his close tribe, his village and those around it and to warn the whole world.

26:214 And warn thy tribe of near kindred,

6:92 And this is a blessed Scripture which We have revealed, confirming that which (was revealed) before it, that thou mayst warn the Mother of Villages and those around her. Those who believe in the Hereafter believe herein, and they are careful of their worship.

25:1 Blessed is He Who hath revealed unto His slave the Criterion (of right and wrong), that he may be a warner to all the peoples.

9- Our arrogance: our failure to appreciate that the Quran is the word of God he would not talk to us like we talk to each other. One example is the arrogance of humans to deny his right to make the roles.

10- Comparing Jesus to Muhammad: God states to the prophets many times what to do in their life. He even determined their reproducibility: Who will marry and what children they will have if any. Their reproducibility is his right to determine. The thing most important for all of them is the obedience to God. They are the best of us and the most to suffer.

11- Abrogated verses in the Quran: are if present very few. Some Muslim scholars for their shallow understanding they put a lot of abrogated verses. It is very likely motivated by their desire to be more intellectual, God forgive them and me. These abrogated verses when I looked at definitely talk about two different situations.

12- Enthusiasm in some in the west to disprove the Quran: I was raised as a Muslim since I was child and I loved it and as I grow up I find it continued to make sense to me. However in my early twenties I posed this question to myself what if Muhammad was a great man and made the Quran so he can get people to be moralistic and achieve social justice?. So I red the Quran again with this in my mind to prove that. Early on, in my re-reading I discovered the verse " and Those who went through our verses to defeat them are in hell gathered". This what you expect from a great creator you have to be respectful you can doubt the Quran but to read it in order to defeat it and not finding the truth is unfair to the creator and for him you will be the worse of his creation.

Mankind were one community

From: The Saudi Gazette

By Humza Mullick and Faraz Omar

THE Almighty Creator is Just, Forgiving, Merciful and Gracious. His religion gives peace and security. If this is really the case, then why are there so many wars, killings, rapes, injustice, earthquakes, and calamities? If there was a true God Who is All-Powerful, then why do these things happen? Many people who do not know God ask such questions frequently.Allah says in the Qur’an: “Whatever of good reaches you, is from Allah, but whatever of evil befalls you, is from yourself.” (Qur’an, 4:79)

Human beings don’t realize that their actions are primarily responsible for whatever wrong that’s happening. God created everything in perfect order and in His perfect Wisdom, He set laws that are not only good for us, but will also guarantee harmony and peace. But human beings neglect obedience to God and resort to actions that produce the evil consequences we see around us.It should also be known that the life in this world is a test, and accountability for our actions comes in the next life.

Allah said that He “created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed.” (Qur’an, 67:2) Further, some of the things that happen in life are out of our control like a beloved’s death or a calamity or disease. All such good and bad things that happen in life are predestined by the decree of Allah. Though somethings on the face of it may appear to be evil, they may actually not be so. Allah in His perfect Wisdom choses for us what is ultimately good for us. Losing a job may have shattered many hopes for Abdullah – apparently a bad situation –, but it could lead him to a better job or it may have protected him from a greater calamity.

Ultimately, whatever happens in life is either a lesson to teach us something important or ward off some evil or bring us some good. The purpose of life has to be understood well. Allah says in the Qur’an: “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me (alone).” (Qur’an, 51:56)

Every creation of God does exactly what it has been created for. The sun, the moon, and the planets for example are in perfect obedience to the purpose for which they were created. Only human beings and jinn have the choice to choose between obedience and rejection, which is why this world is a test for them. Obedience to God will be recognized and rewarded, and so will disobedience be punished. It should not be thought that all those who commit and spread evil in the world are being allowed to go scot-free in this world.

The accountability is real and God’s justice is inescapable. On one hand, human beings who disbelieve in God attribute evil to Him (which is quite contradicting), while on the other hand they never appreciate all the good of this world. Think about the food we eat, the perfect system we have been blessed with, health and prosperity, wisdom and intelligence, all these point to uncountable favors of God upon us. Further, He provides us and listens to all of us in times of despair, regardless of whether the seeker believes in Him or not. He provides to even those who blaspheme Him or who worship false deities. Let us also not forget the goodness among people: sincerity, charity and love.

It is fair to say that a viewpoint that only sees one side is only partially true. Partial truths are not truth at all. Do we believe that the evil in this world outweighs the good? A simple answer to the following will suffice. Are there more healthy people than sick? Are there more unjust killings than births? Are there more natural disasters than natural beauty? We can honestly say that evil does not rule more than good in this world.Islam came to relieve people of troubles and lead us from darkness to light. It came to guide human beings, as God didn’t leave us wandering without guidance.

Islam is a religion for the whole of humanity because we were not divided into different religions or faiths. We came into this world as one nation from one father and mother. It is only from our differences and deviation that we have divided ourselves into different sects and religions. Allah says in the Qur’an: “Mankind were one community...” (Qur’an, 2:213)

The core of Islam throughout the history of mankind has been plain and simple, whose truth can be professed by any human being. It is the belief that there is only One Creator of everything and He alone deserves to be worshipped and obeyed. Anything – or anyone – else does not own anything in His Kingdom nor has any power comparable that anyone should even consider showing veneration to it.

Islam literally means to submit (to the will of God) and the one who does so is called a Muslim. Obedience to God was the natural disposition since man set foot on earth. When mankind differed, deviated and started worshipping false deities who could do nothing for them, God sent prophets with His message to guide people back to the straight path. Reading the previous verse completely gives us this message: “Mankind were one community and Allah sent Prophets with glad tidings and warnings, and with them He sent the Scripture in truth to judge between people in matters wherein they differed. And only those to whom (the Scripture) was given differed concerning it after clear proofs had come unto them through hatred, one to another. Then Allah by His Leave guided those who believed to the truth of that wherein they differed. And Allah guides whom He wills to a Straight Path.” (Qur’an, 2:213)

The prophets were given sufficient proofs that would make it absolutely clear to people that their message was true and divine. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the last of all prophets and messengers and the Qur’an is the final revelation from God. This is indicative of how close human beings are to their final destination – the Day of Accounts. Because the message was one, Muslims believe in all prophets and messengers from Adam to Jesus (yes Jesus was a messenger just like Moses and Abraham were).

The proofs that the Qur’an is really from God are too many to count. However, it is up to the readers to find out, learn, and contemplate on this divine message that is directed at everyone of us. Allah said in the Qur’an: “Do they not then consider the Qur’an carefully? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much contradictions.” (Qur’an, 4:82) – SG

Brotherhood In Islam.

By: Maged Taman

Muslim Brothers in Egypt is one of the organization of Muslims that knew the values of brotherhood. Though I do not agree with all of its politics I considered it an example of wide base organization for a good and righteous Islamic community.

Muhammad (PBUH) had created the early brotherly Muslim community from fighting Arab tribes.

The characters of brotherhood in Islam was as follows:

1- The best love is the love in God. That is to say all of us are good Muslims and we love each other for following Islam. The morals of Islam and love of God unite all of us.

2- Muslims are like one body if one organ is afflicted other organs are felt for him as the prophet hadith says. This is particularly true with illness like fever and systemic diseases. So Muslims feel for each other.

3- The prophet says who cheat on us is not one of us. This is one of main things that brought about brotherhood. There is no deceive or dishonesty between Muslims. Deceive and dishonesty creates hate and animosity.

4- The prayers in Mosque brings all of us down to our knees to worship God in lines. There is no rich or poor and no famous or unknown we all are equal in God eyes, the best of us is the one who fears God the most. In most of time fears out of respect not out of fear of hell. The one who need to fear it are those who are fighting Islam and doing every thing possible to prevent its spread. They sold their souls for low price or for blind hate and self-deception. They are fighting the strong God of Israel who drowned Pharaoh and his army if you believe the Torah and Quran. When we die and go to grave every one will be on his own he will answer to the angels of God he will leave all the allies, friends and family he will be asked if he had tried to help God message or did stand against it.

5- Zakat which is a percent paid from the rich to the poor break the cycle of money in being in hands of the rich. There is no class war in Islam. Muslims believe that God has created the rich and poor. The poor are accepting that since they were promised to be the first to go to heaven. Meanwhile they accepted for the rich getting richer if they play the market fair and pay their dues Zakat to the poor.

6- Muslims strength is by their unity. The Prophet said that Muslim to Muslim is like the building bricks they cement each other. The unity of Islam is brought about by the unity of Muslims one by one in community.

7- Muslims brothers may look different in their colors, ethnicity and features but their inside is the same. It is full of God love and faith in Islam.

8- Muslims stand together in mishaps, sickness, funerals, weddings.... They are together in the good and the bad.

9- Muslims stand with one another in the right thing. If a Muslim is unjust to non-Muslims he corrects the Muslim. Like the prophet saying "stand with your Muslim brother if suffered injustice or was himself unjust. People told the prophet we know the first how about the second. He said by correcting him to what is right.

10- Islamic brotherhood is not a form of discrimination to non-Muslims. When Islam started it tried to win or at least neutralize non-believers and people of the book but many was envy and hateful to Islam. Islam still considers human brotherhood and the Quran states that God have honoured all the children of Adam :

17:70 (Picktall) Verily We have honored the children of adam. We carry them on the land and the sea, and have made provision of good things for them, and have preferred them above many of those whom We created with a marked preferment.

Justice in The Quran

By: Maged Taman

Just is one of the 99 names of God in Islam. God is just and wants us to be just. This is well spelled in both the Bible and Quran. Please examine the verses in Quran that talks about justice.

1- God himself is standing firm on justice:

3:18 There is no God but He: That is the witness of Allah, His angels, and those endued with knowledge, standing firm on justice. There is No God but He, the Exalted in Power, the Wise.
16:90 Lo! Allah enjoineth justice and kindness, and giving to kinsfolk, and forbiddeth lewdness and abomination and wickedness. He exhorteth you in order that ye may take heed.

2- The failure of seeing complete justice in our world requires an afterlife for real and complete justice (Which for our good luck is real):

3:25 But how (will they fare) when we gather them together against a day about which there is no doubt, and each soul will be paid out just what it has earned, without (favor or) injustice

3- God is just he gives us signs of his existence:

3:108 These are the Signs of Allah. We rehearse them to thee in Truth: And Allah means no injustice to any of His creatures.
17:15 Whosoever goeth right, it is only for (the good of) his own soul that he goeth right, and whosoever erreth, erreth only to its hurt. No laden soul can bear another's load. We never punish until We have sent a messenger.

4- Justice is for all people not only for Muslims or believers:

11:85 O my people! Give full measure and full weight in justice, and wrong not people in respect of their goods. And do not evil in the earth, causing corruption.

5- Justice in treating parents very well:

17:23 Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honour.

6- Unlike most of non-Muslims belief justice in marriage requires the norm to be one wife: In the verse marrying more than one woman was mainly to support the orphans (The right hands possess are like slaves that Islam managed to put mechanisms to free them):

4:3 If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice.

7- Even being generous to others or oneself has to have a just balance:

4:5 To those weak of understanding Make not over your property, which Allah hath made a means of support for you, but feed and clothe them therewith, and speak to them words of kindness and justice.
17:29 And let not thy hand be chained to thy neck nor open it with a complete opening, lest thou sit down rebuked, denudedوَلاَ تَجْعَلْ يَدَكَ مَغْلُولَةً إِلَى عُنُقِكَ وَلاَ تَبْسُطْهَا كُلَّ الْبَسْطِ فَتَقْعُدَ مَلُومًا مَّحْسُورًا (17:29)

8- To be honest and to judge with justice are God's commands:

4:58 Allah doth command you to render back your Trusts to those to whom they are due; And when ye judge between man and man, that ye judge with justice: Verily how excellent is the teaching which He giveth you! For Allah is He Who heareth and seeth all things.

9- God is just if we are righteous we will enter heaven (but we have to be believers, it is unjust to deny God and he would recognize you):

4:124 If any do deeds of righteousness,- be they male or female - and have faith, they will enter Heaven, and not the least injustice will be done to them.

10- To be just to the orphans:

6:152 And approach not the wealth of the orphan save with that which is better; till he reach maturity. Give full measure and full weight, in justice. We task not any soul beyond its scope. And if ye give your word, do justice thereunto, even though it be (against) a kinsman; and fulfil the covenant of Allah. This He commandeth you that haply ye may remember.

11- To be just even against your interest:

4:135 O ye who believe! Be ye staunch in justice, witnesses for Allah, even though it be against yourselves or (your) parents or (your) kindred, whether (the case be of) a rich man or a poor man, for Allah is nearer unto both (than ye are). So follow not passion lest ye lapse (from truth) and if ye lapse or fall away, then lo! Allah is ever Informed of what ye do.

12- To be just even against a relative or close person interest:

6:152 And approach not the wealth of the orphan save with that which is better; till he reach maturity. Give full measure and full weight, in justice. We task not any soul beyond its scope. And if ye give your word, do justice thereunto, even though it be (against) a kinsman; and fulfil the covenant of Allah. This He commandeth you that haply ye may remember.

13- In fact the Quran is true and just and no change of its words for over 1400 years:
6:115 The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfillment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all.

The Mahdi’s Words Will Be Wise and Concise

From: http://www.harunyahya.com/

In his sayings, the Prophet (saas) indicated that the Mahdi’s worlds would be exceedingly wise and penetrating (Mahdi is a divinely guided Khalifa). He will not speak vast amounts of words. The Mahdi will employ a very clear and effective style aimed directly at his objective. This wisdom in his words reveals that the Mahdi’s rhetorical abilities will be very powerful and, thanks to this superior attribute of his, it will be an easy matter to distinguish him from among other people.
In his works the great Islamic scholar Muhyiddin al-Arabi listed nine attributes of the Mahdi. He described how the Mahdi would have a unique wisdom and understanding as follows:

1. His possession of great insight
2. His understanding of the Divine Book
3. His knowledge of the meaning of the Divine Word
4. His knowledge of the nature and behavior of the people he will choose
5. His refusal to abandon justice and compassion even when angered
6. His knowledge of the classes of things
7. His knowledge of the intricate essence of events
8. His understanding of people’s needs
9. His personal understanding of the knowledge of the unseen especially needed in his own day, by which he can resolve new problems. (Signs of Qiyamah, p. 189)

Blogger comment:

1- The hadith about Mahdi are few and we can only be confident of even fewer.
2- No doubt what Al-Arabi said makes sense. I would expect him as he described. He will be also expected to follow the guidance of Quran and make decisions by consensus.
3- The thing that we can be confident about is that he will turn the world into justice and equality after was filled with tyranny and injustice like it looks now.
4- We do not know how God would change the world 180 degree but it you believe in God you would not deny that to happen.
5- He will be in the period shortly before Jesus (PBUH) descend. He apparently will help people to be ready for the second coming.
6- He was described in hadith to be tall with fair skin, wide forehead, raised bridge of nose and mark in his right cheek.
7- In one hadith his appearance was described to occur in one day.
8- We do not know if angels from God will talk to him or collective visions and inner feeling that will make people recognize him.
9- The period of tribulation was described in both Islam and Christianity to precede the second coming of Jesus. Muslims believe this period is due to the corruption that is filling the earth and God wrath against Muslims and non-Muslims. For Christians and Muslims a period of fear and confusion and in the same time a period of hope and reconciliation with the creator.
10- Geo-politically the kings of the world now will oppress his rise or conspire to discredit him before his appearance.
11- The thing is neither me nor anyone else know what is God plan. I continue to check Christians and Muslims websites to see if someone now exactly God's plan but I can not be sure if some one knows well the future, though they may be right in some visions. Many has the feeling that we are in the end of time and Jesus second coming is in the horizon, I am one of them.

The Principals Of Economics In The Quran.

By: Maged Taman

The economy in Islam is a free market economy. It is the law of free market (invisible hand) that God created and Adam Smith discovered it that makes the market work. A certain product become scarce, its price goes up and people work more to produce the product or find an alternative. This kind of market incites productivity, creativity and finding new jobs and welfare to its people.

Leaving the market with no regulations however can kill the market. A simple example a certain kind of fish is about to extinct if you allow the fishermen to do that there will be loss ultimately to them and us. Another important example is interest. If the country would depend on interest rates what we call it usury it would make people invest in money and not in products. Beside the many harmful effects in the societies as bankruptcies increase violence and social collapse. Without regulations also monopoly and political corruption arises. Despite what many in the market will say that they believe in the free power of market many will take any advantages from politicians to post their profits. That is why you see the lobbyists and interest groups very active in Washington.

In the third world you find corruption and connection between politicians and the businessmen is very strong. It is that strong that dictatorship and oppression becomes important. The figure of the president becomes so important in these countries since the upper layer that is feed and sucks on the blood resources of that country its survival is linked to that of this president. That economy that is built on usury, abuses, monopolies, corruption and tyranny is immoral economy or immoral capitalism despite people still call it free market.

Islam, on the other hand is a moral capitalism. You play the market fairly with integrity and honesty. No corruption and bribes in this form of economy. You serve a lot of social functions by paying money to the poor (obligatory: zakat-2.5%) or non obligatory: Sadaka). Paying the poor strengthens the economy causing money to go around to stimulate the economy while keeping inflation down. A lot of people have forgot that money is a medium of exchange and it looses more of its value if the economy goes down or inflation sours. Examine these verses to find the main principals of economy in Quran:

1- Break the cycle of money between the rich to a wider cycle that include the poor and rich:

059: 006-7: Whatever Allah has turned over to His Messenger from those communities belongs to Allah and His Messenger (i.e. the Central Authority). [It shall be spent by the Messenger (i.e. the Head of the Islamic State) on]: (the 'Office' of) the Messenger, the welfare of the families of the believers, the orphans (,those who still feel left alone in the society, the widows), those who have no means of earning their livelihood, (the disabled who cannot move around looking for the Bounty of Allah), the homeless son of the street, ( those who are on their way to join you, or those who travel a distance to seek help). The expending will be in such a manner that it may not be [a benefit] going round and round among such of you as may [already] be rich. Hence, take what the Messenger gives you, and abstain from what he forbids you. Guard yourself against the harmful consequences of violating the Commands of Allah by careful observance. Verily, Allah is Stern in grasping."

2- Honest free market with no abuse of government for unfair businesses:

002.188 And do not swallow up your property among yourselves by false means, neither seek to gain access thereby to the judges (governors), so that you may swallow up a part of the property of men wrongfully while you know.

3- Money spent for God's cause is an important way to worship God:

002.261 The parable of those who spend their property in the way of Allah is as the parable of a grain growing seven ears (with) a hundred grains in every ear; and Allah multiplies for whom He pleases; and Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing.

4- The human sins contribute much to poverty through preventing the blessings of God. Sins as infidelity, alcoholism, drug addiction, gambling, dishonesty, theft and wars have destroyed large wealth of nations:

002.268 Satan threatens you with poverty and enjoins you to be niggardly, and Allah promises you forgiveness from Himself and abundance; and Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing.

5- A lot of poor people may be invisible to us. It is our job to find them and take care of them:

002.273 (Alms are) for the poor who are confined in the way of Allah-- they cannot go about in the land; the ignorant man thinks them to be rich on account of (their) abstaining (from begging); you can recognize them by their mark; they do not beg from men importunately; and whatever good thing you spend, surely Allah knows it.

6- Usury is not trade. Money is created as medium of exchange and not as goods. People who sale you money today at high interest rate are committing sin against God in both the Quran and Bible (see in my blog: interest-based economy Satan work in earth):

002.275 Those who swallow down usury cannot arise except as one whom Satan has prostrated by (his) touch does rise. That is because they say, trading is only like usury; and Allah has allowed trading and forbidden usury. To whomsoever then the admonition has come from his Lord, then he desists, he shall have what has already passed, and his affair is in the hands of Allah; and whoever returns (to it)-- these arc the inmates of the fire; they shall abide in it.

7- Usury is not blessed by God and is profitable only for the few rich and greedy. Zakat is blessed and is good for every one:

002.276 Allah does not bless usury, and He causes charitable deeds to prosper, and Allah does not love any ungrateful sinner.

8- Universal welfare System:The Prophet (pbuh) is reported to have said: If a single person were to sleep hungry in a town, then God's protection is lifted from such a town. [ Masnad Imam Ahmad ] This hadith emphasizes that no one (Muslim or non-Muslim) under this system should go hungry. Thus this zakat system created the first universal welfare system in human history. It was paid to both poor Muslims to non-Muslims in early Islam. We are able now to create it as a universal world system. Note that it is not a big government instead of giving the money to the government to destroy it in programs with large bureaucracies and corruption you put the money in the hands of people.

9- Preventing recessions and inflation. The steady money goes to the poor make the economy always injected by money and revitalized. The expanding economy as more Muslims and non-Muslims get covered by this economy make inflation less likely.

IS THE QURAN GOD’S WORD?

By Nazim Mangera

“Do they not ponder over the Quran? Had it been from other than Allah, they surely would have found many discrepancies in it.” (Quran 4:81-82)

If you have faith in the fact that this universe has been created by an absolutely powerful entity and that He is the one who has sent the human being to accomplish some particular mission, how then is it possible to fathom that He, having created man, would leave him in total darkness, without telling him why he came to this world, what his duties were, where he was destined to go and how could he realize the true purpose of his life?

After all, how is it possible that the being that created such a mind-boggling system composed of the moon, the sun, the sky, the earth, the stars and the planets, would remain unable to institute some arrangement of communication with his servants, through which human beings could be given guidance about the purpose of their lives?

If there is faith in the ultimate wisdom of Almighty God (known as Allah in Arabic), then admitting that He did not forsake his servants in the dark will become all the more necessary. Thus, this regular system of guidance is known as: The Noble Quran. Providing cogent evidence on the truthfulness and veracity of the Quran is like providing proof on the brightness of the sun. Nevertheless, if the following paragraphs are read with an open mind (as pre-conceived notions can impair ones search for the truth) then it will become fairly easy to realize the truthfulness of the Quran.

First of all, let us picture to ourselves and consider the era and period in which the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam was born in Saudi Arabia. This was such a period that the world was deprived from the existence of any prophet for 100’s of years. The pristine teachings of the previous prophets were being defaced and obliterated. The distorters and tamperers had badly mutilated the religious dogmas of the previous prophets. The plague of polytheism and idolatry had become universal. It was a fanatical reign of tyranny and barbarity. The scholars of the previously revealed divine scriptures were restlessly awaiting the arrival of the final prophet.

The specific condition of the Arabian Peninsula was that the art of poetry was the heart and soul of the Arabian society. Poetry had become their second nature. The natural liking and literary taste for Arabic prose and poetry had become a part and parcel of their daily lives. Eloquence and rhetoric ran in their veins like blood. The pomp and splendor of their parties and meetings, the beautification and colorfulness of their fairs, the means for their pride and conceit, the medium for broadcasting and publications was entwined with Arabic poetry and prose. Their smallest children would articulate such eloquent poetry that the litterateurs and poets would be left dumbfounded. Some of the most blazing poetry ever scribed on paper was written and uttered in this era. In short, Allah had favored the dwellers of this blessed land with the inherent mastery over eloquence and rhetoric in which they had surpassed the rest of the world. They had so much pride over it that to them, the rest of the non-Arabic speaking world was known as ‘Ajami’: mute and unable to speak.

In such conditions and environment the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam is born. For 40 years, he grows up in his small city in such a manner that even the smallest children affirm to his truthfulness, piety, and justness. He spends 40 years in his city in an exemplary manner that the residents of Makkah watch his childhood as well as his teenage years and in this whole duration of 40 years, no person finds a reason to lift their finger against any personal trait of his. No breathing person is found or exists who can narrate event the smallest of his mistakes. Instead, because of his impeccable behavior he is famously knows as “The Truthful” and “The Trustworthy” in Makkah.

Then in this long duration of 40 years, Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam grows up in such a manner that he naturally likes seclusion. He has no habit of frequenting any plays, festivals or carnivals. He does not enroll in any educational institution. He acquires no formal education from any place of learning. He does not learn how to read or write. He can not even write his own name. Contrary to popular custom, he never says any line of poetry. He never sits with any fortune-teller, magician, or astrologer. He has no acquaintance with any Jewish or Christian scholars. Then, when he reaches the age of 40, when he reaches middle-age, an age when usually the time to acquire knowledge ceases, at this age, such amazing mind boggling, full of eloquence words come out from his mouth that in front of it, the poets and literates have to submit and fall down in submission to it. He starts blazing with such poetry and such knowledge and science that the philosophers have to lower their necks in front of it. The Quran foretells the occurrence of such events which never crossed the minds of fortune tellers and astrologers, and the events eventually turnout to be 100% true.

Then because of the doubt of the Arab poets, the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) announces a challenge for the whole world in general and for the illustrious poets of the Arabian Peninsula in particular:
"Then let them produce the speech like thereof (the Quran) if they are truthful." (Quran-Chapter 52: Verse 34)

If no poet is ready to take up this challenge of producing something like the Quran, then the huge building of poetry erected by their forefathers will come crashing down face first and their whole collection of century’s old customs and narrations will be buried in the ground for eternity. That is why this announcement in reality was a huge challenge to their literary strength. The announcement was a severe open blow to their faith. It was a message of an open challenge in the name of tribal help. This was a brazen call to their sense of honor. Such a daunting challenge that no poet with a keen sense of honor could sit comfortably.

But what happens? What was their reply to this open challenge? After this public announcement, a shocking pindrop-silence permeates the gatherings and assemblies of the fiery orators and poets.

No one steps forward to take up this challenge. The Quran announces for the second time:
“Or do they say, "He (Prophet Muhammad SAW) invented it (the Quran)?" Say: "Bring then ten invented chapters like unto it, and call whomsoever you can, other than Allah (to your help), if you speak the truth!" (11:13)

The silence in the courts of the poets ensues as usual. Then another challenge is put forward:
“Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it?" Say: "Bring then a chapter like unto it, and call upon whomsoever you can, besides Allah, if you are truthful!" (10: 38)
O Poets! O Lovers of Arabic poetry and prose! Come up with something which resembles even the smallest of chapters in opposition to the Quran. But the Arab poets could not even come up with even a few sentences.

Let us think for a second that the tribe whose condition is such that Abdul Qahir Jurjani says that if the Arab poets learned that in the farthest corner of the world a person was overtly arrogant over his eloquence and rhetoric, the Arab poets would not desist from vehemently criticizing and openly taunting the person in their poetry. Can it be ever fathomed that such magnanimous poets, after repeated open challenges, would sit quietly and would not muster the courage to step up and take up the challenge? The prolonged silence of the Arabian poets cannot be interpreted in any other way than this that the sons of Arabic poetry and prose were rendered helpless to take up the Quranic challenge. The Quran coaxed them on several occasions but even then there was no movement in their veins of sense of honor. Instead, they left no stone unturned in oppressing and tyrannizing Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) They heckled him, called him insane, branded him as a sorcerer, labeled him as a poet and soothsayer, but they could not muster the intellect to put forward even a few sentences like the Quran. As for those who tried to take up the Quran’s challenge, they have been a target of mockery and ridicule till now for their feeble attempts.

Just as the human’s incapability to create the skies and the earth and to rain water from the skies is a clear cut proof that these are solely the doings of Allah, similarly the humans inability to put forward verses similar to the word of God is a clear sign that these are the words of Allah and not the words of any beings.
The Noble Quran challenges all of humanity for the final time:
“And if you are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Quran) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him), then produce a chapter of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides Allah, if you are truthful.
But if you do it not, and you can never do it then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.” (Noble Quran - 2:23-24)

“Say: "If the whole of mankind and Jinns were to gather together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they backed up each other with help and support.” (Noble Quran-17:88)

The greatest poets and writers of the world, Mutanabbee, Sadi, Shakespeare, Hafiz, Milton, and others all at one time or another in their lives went through a rigorous process of education and training to fine-tune their literary skills. But the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), as I have mentioned before, did not even know how to read or write, and was never interested in learning the arts of eloquence and poetry.

Whoever cogitates and ponders over these facts cool headedly and calmly without any bias and prejudice cannot arrive to any other conclusion but to the following that: The Quran is God's Word.

Residing within the depths of our chests is a piece of flesh no bigger than the size of our fists. This hollow muscular organ is the very essence of our survival. Its rhythmic contractions circulate blood throughout our entire body. With 70 beats per minute, 100,000 beats per day, this organ is more than just a piece of flesh vital to our physical existence; it is the origin of our emotion. It defines our intentions for our actions, more importantly, it is the deciding factor for our eternal abode after it ceases to beat."The Day whereon neither wealth nor sons will avail, Except him who brings to Allah a clean heart" (Al Shu’ara-The Poets: 88-89)Instructors:

Christian Arabs and 'peace and justice'

From: media monitor

by Daoud Kuttab

"Right-wing governments in Israel and the US seem to be natural feeding grounds for these fundamentalists. Palestinian Christians have forcefully rejected this position and some established evangelical voices have also come up to debunk these myths and insist on the need for justice as an integral part of any peaceful resolution in the region."

The visit of Pope Benedict XVI to Jordan and Palestine is a perfect opportunity to review and declare the role of Christian Arabs in the peace process.
To begin with, it is important for all to know that Arabs have been in Palestine and Jordan before Islam and Christianity. References to the word "Arab" and its derivatives are mentioned hundreds of times in the Old and New Testaments. The Biblical figure of Job is said to be Arab and Arabs were among the many attending the sermon on the day of Pentecost by St. Peter when 3,000 (among them Arabs) became Christians. Act 2 refers to Arabs having heard the sermon in their own tongue.

Arab Christians have, therefore, been an integral part of Palestine and the Middle East region since at least the Day of Pentecost. The role of Arab Christians in modern Arab nationalism was best reflected in George Habib Antonius' book "The Arab Awakening". Antonius (1891-1941) was one of the first historians of Arab nationalism. Born of Lebanese-Egyptian parentage and a Christian (Greek Orthodox) Arab, he served in the British Mandate of Palestine. His 1938 book "The Arab Awakening" was written as Palestine was slipping from Arab control.

Antonius traced Arab nationalism to the reign of Mehmet Ali Pasha in Egypt. He argued that Arab nationalism was a product of the West, especially of Protestant missionaries from Britain and the United States. He saw the role of the American University of Beirut (originally the Syrian Protestant College) as central to this development.

The number of Arab Christians vary. Wikipedia states that Christians today make up 9.2 per cent of the population of the Near East. In Lebanon, they now number around 39 per cent of the population, in Syria about 10 to 15 per cent. In Palestine before the creation of Israel estimates range up to as much as 40 per cent, but mass emigration has slashed the number still present to 3.8 per cent.

In Israel, Arab Christians constitute 2.1 per cent (or roughly 10 per cent of the Arab population). In Egypt, they constitute between 9 and 16 per cent of the population (the government figures put them at 6 per cent).

Around two-thirds of North and South American and Australian Arabs are Christian, particularly from Lebanon, but also from Palestine and Syria.
While the number of Christian Palestinians in Jerusalem and the occupied territories has dwindled over the years, they are still a key component of the Palestinian and Arab peoples of the region. Activists blame violence, occupation and uncertainty, coupled with opportunities (or lack thereof) for work and emigration, as the main reason for the flight of Christian Palestinians to the Americas, Australia and Europe.

While the world looks at the Arab-Israeli conflict from an Arab-Israeli point of view, or a Jewish-Islamic one, the role and contribution of Arab Christians cannot and need not be ignored.
Unlike followers of the Jewish and Muslim faiths, Christians have no religious attachment to physical locations. Scholars refer to the response of Jesus to the Samaritan woman's question about whether to worship in Jerusalem or in the Sumerian mountains. Jesus replied to her: "Neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

Christian Arabs, however, believe that a lasting resolution to the Arab-Israeli conflict must both address the national aspirations of the Palestinians (of which they are part) and provide for the spiritual needs of the faithful, including Christians.

In this regard, Palestinian Christians are perhaps angriest with a radical but effective group of Christians who try to give Biblical support and legitimacy for the Israeli aggression against Palestinians. An entire industry that has been well endowed has cropped up in the West, attempting to hijack the Christian theological debate in favour of what is now referred to as Christian Zionism.

Right-wing governments in Israel and the US seem to be natural feeding grounds for these fundamentalists. Palestinian Christians have forcefully rejected this position and some established evangelical voices have also come up to debunk these myths and insist on the need for justice as an integral part of any peaceful resolution in the region.

The visit of the Pontiff has stirred plenty of interest in the contributions Christians can make to the peace process. Israel's attempts to ban the Aida refugees in Bethlehem from erecting the stand for the visiting Pope by the 28-foot-high wall is perhaps the most glaring worry the Israeli occupiers have about the visit of the Pontiff. They fear precisely what Arab Christians insist on: that a truly Christian position on the Israeli-Arab conflict will not be merely satisfied with a call for peace, but will necessarily also include a call for justicefor Palestinians.
"Peace and justice" is the message of people of faith from the entire world, and is certainly the focus for Arab Christians.

Blogger comment:

1- Peace and justice for every one Jew, Christian and Muslim.
2- Freedom and democracy for every one not selective democracy for only the non-allies as the Americans were doing.
3- Christians and Jews in Muslim lands were put in high rank in Islam. The prophet named them the people in our protection. He mentioned in hadith that who persecute them is his personal enemy.
4- Islam grow and spread all over the world in few years for its high moral ground and sincerity.
5- Muslims as they expanded their control they involved all people to govern themselves. This will be particularly most evident in the time of Al Mahdi Al Muntazer.
6- There is actually no much time left for Jesus second coming to convert Christians just wait and see he will do that himself.
