Sura 50 in the Quran

ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ (50:1) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:1 (Picktall) Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an,

بَلْ عَجِبُوا أَن جَاءهُمْ مُنذِرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَذَا شَيْءٌ عَجِيبٌ (50:2) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:2 (Picktall) Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing:

أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا ذَلِكَ رَجْعٌ بَعِيدٌ (50:3) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:3 (Picktall) When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return!

قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنقُصُ الْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ وَعِندَنَا كِتَابٌ حَفِيظٌ (50:4) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:4 (Picktall) We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book.

بَلْ كَذَّبُوا بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءهُمْ فَهُمْ فِي أَمْرٍ مَّرِيجٍ (50:5) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:5 (Picktall) Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case.

أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاء فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَاهَا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍ (50:6) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:6 (Picktall) Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein?

وَالْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ بَهِيجٍ (50:7) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:7 (Picktall) And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon,

تَبْصِرَةً وَذِكْرَى لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيبٍ (50:8) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:8 (Picktall) A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave.

وَنَزَّلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاء مَاء مُّبَارَكًا فَأَنبَتْنَا بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ وَحَبَّ الْحَصِيدِ (50:9) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:9 (Picktall) And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops,

وَالنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَاتٍ لَّهَا طَلْعٌ نَّضِيدٌ (50:10) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:10 (Picktall) And lofty date palms with ranged clusters,

رِزْقًا لِّلْعِبَادِ وَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا كَذَلِكَ الْخُرُوجُ (50:11) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:11 (Picktall) Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead.

كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الرَّسِّ وَثَمُودُ (50:12) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:12 (Picktall) The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud,

وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ وَإِخْوَانُ لُوطٍ (50:13) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:13 (Picktall) And (the tribe of) Aad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot,

وَأَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ وَقَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ كُلٌّ كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ وَعِيدِ (50:14) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:14 (Picktall) And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect.

أَفَعَيِينَا بِالْخَلْقِ الْأَوَّلِ بَلْ هُمْ فِي لَبْسٍ مِّنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ (50:15) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:15 (Picktall) Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation.

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِ نَفْسُهُ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيدِ (50:16) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:16 (Picktall) We verily created a man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.

إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ (50:17) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:17 (Picktall) When the two Receivers receive (him), seated on the right hand and on the left,

مَا يَلْفِظُ مِن قَوْلٍ إِلَّا لَدَيْهِ رَقِيبٌ عَتِيدٌ (50:18) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:18 (Picktall) He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready.

وَجَاءتْ سَكْرَةُ الْمَوْتِ بِالْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ مَا كُنتَ مِنْهُ تَحِيدُ (50:19) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:19 (Picktall) And the agony of death cometh in truth. (And it is said unto him): This is that which thou wast wont to shun.

وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْوَعِيدِ (50:20) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:20 (Picktall) And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day.

وَجَاءتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّعَهَا سَائِقٌ وَشَهِيدٌ (50:21) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:21 (Picktall) And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness

لَقَدْ كُنتَ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَاءكَ فَبَصَرُكَ الْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ (50:22) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:22 (Picktall) (And unto the evil doer it is said): Thou wast in heedlessness of this. Now We have removed from thee thy covering, and piercing is thy sight this day.

وَقَالَ قَرِينُهُ هَذَا مَا لَدَيَّ عَتِيدٌ (50:23) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:23 (Picktall) And (unto the evil doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony).

أَلْقِيَا فِي جَهَنَّمَ كُلَّ كَفَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ (50:24) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:24 (Picktall) (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate,

مَّنَّاعٍ لِّلْخَيْرِ مُعْتَدٍ مُّرِيبٍ (50:25) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:25 (Picktall) Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter,

الَّذِي جَعَلَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ فَأَلْقِيَاهُ فِي الْعَذَابِ الشَّدِيدِ (50:26) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:26 (Picktall) Who setteth up another god along with Allah. Do ye twain hurl him to the dreadful doom.

قَالَ قَرِينُهُ رَبَّنَا مَا أَطْغَيْتُهُ وَلَكِن كَانَ فِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍ (50:27) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:27 (Picktall) His comrade saith: Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but be was (himself) far gone in error.

قَالَ لَا تَخْتَصِمُوا لَدَيَّ وَقَدْ قَدَّمْتُ إِلَيْكُم بِالْوَعِيدِ (50:28) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:28 (Picktall) He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning.

مَا يُبَدَّلُ الْقَوْلُ لَدَيَّ وَمَا أَنَا بِظَلَّامٍ لِّلْعَبِيدِ (50:29) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:29 (Picktall) The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves.

يَوْمَ نَقُولُ لِجَهَنَّمَ هَلِ امْتَلَأْتِ وَتَقُولُ هَلْ مِن مَّزِيدٍ (50:30) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:30 (Picktall) On the day when We say unto hell: Art thou filled? and it saith: Can there be more to come?

وَأُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ (50:31) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:31 (Picktall) And the Garden is brought nigh for those who kept from evil, no longer distant.

هَذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍ (50:32) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:32 (Picktall) (And it is said): That is that which ye were promised. (It is) for every penitent and heedful one,

مَنْ خَشِيَ الرَّحْمَن بِالْغَيْبِ وَجَاء بِقَلْبٍ مُّنِيبٍ (50:33) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:33 (Picktall) Who feareth the Beneficent in secret and cometh with a contrite heart.

ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَامٍ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُلُودِ (50:34) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:34 (Picktall) Enter it in peace. This is the day of immortality.

لَهُم مَّا يَشَاؤُونَ فِيهَا وَلَدَيْنَا مَزِيدٌ (50:35) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:35 (Picktall) There they have all that they desire, and there is more with Us.

وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا فَنَقَّبُوا فِي الْبِلَادِ هَلْ مِن مَّحِيصٍ (50:36) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:36 (Picktall) And how many a generation We destroyed before them, who were mightier than these in prowess so that they overran the lands! Had they any place of refuge (when the judgment came)?

إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَذِكْرَى لِمَن كَانَ لَهُ قَلْبٌ أَوْ أَلْقَى السَّمْعَ وَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ (50:37) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:37 (Picktall) Lo! therein verily is a reminder for him who hath a heart, or giveth ear with full intelligence.

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٍ (50:38) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:38 (Picktall) And verily We created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in six days, and naught of weariness touched Us.

فَاصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ الْغُرُوبِ (50:39) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:39 (Picktall) Therefor (O Muhammad) bear with what they say: and hymn the praise of thy Lord before the rising and before the setting of the sun;

وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَأَدْبَارَ السُّجُودِ (50:40) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:40 (Picktall) And in the night time hymn His praise: And after the (prescribed) prostrations.

وَاسْتَمِعْ يَوْمَ يُنَادِ الْمُنَادِ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ (50:41) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:41 (Picktall) And listen on the day when the crier crieth from a near place,

يَوْمَ يَسْمَعُونَ الصَّيْحَةَ بِالْحَقِّ ذَلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُرُوجِ (50:42) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:42 (Picktall) The day when they will hear the (Awful) Cry in truth. That is the day of coming forth (from the graves).

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي وَنُمِيتُ وَإِلَيْنَا الْمَصِيرُ (50:43) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:43 (Picktall) Lo! We it is Who quicken and give death, and unto Us is the journeying.

يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ الْأَرْضُ عَنْهُمْ سِرَاعًا ذَلِكَ حَشْرٌ عَلَيْنَا يَسِيرٌ (50:44) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:44 (Picktall) On the day when the earth splitteth asunder from them, hastening forth (they come). That is a gathering easy for Us (to make).

نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَقُولُونَ وَمَا أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِجَبَّارٍ فَذَكِّرْ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَن يَخَافُ وَعِيدِ (50:45) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
50:45 (Picktall) We are best aware of what they say, and thou (O Muhammad) art in no wise a compeller over them. But warn by the Qur'an him who feareth My threat.
