From: http://www.islamicity.com/ Translation to Asad
In this Sura of Quran God start the Sura by giving us the tremendous scene of the day of judgement in the first 5 verses. He takes us back from the future to the present time in verses 6-12 to give us the chance to prepare to this day. He then take us back or say forward to the future to let us know what will be our destiny in that day. The language is great, the purpose of the verses are clear and well explained. You notice again the dual speech as in other chapters of the Quran where God is telling and then speak directly to us. . The direct speech part is the more living part of the texts where God uses the telling part and reinforced in the direct speech part, examine verses 6 and 9.
