18:51 I did not make them witnesses of the creation of the heavens and the earth, nor of the creation of their own selves; and neither do I [have any need to] take as My helpers those [beings] that lead [men] astray. مَا أَشْهَدتُّهُمْ خَلْقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَلَا خَلْقَ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمَا كُنتُ مُتَّخِذَ الْمُضِلِّينَ عَضُدًا (18:51)

Comment:
The miracle of the Quran in this verse is its few words, strongly convincing argument and the beauty of the language. The last one will feel it more if you are Arabic speaker.

The argument is simple and overwhelming with supreme sarcasm. God answer the people who denied him, that he already had denied them. He did not show them the creation of the heavens and earth, the creation of themselves and he did not use them to help him during the creation.

You may say but since he did not do that may be they have the reason to disbelieve. However he gave us the creation itself and the Quran which explain what he created and what is the aim of the creation.

There are believers in contrast to the disbelievers have accepted the arguments that are necessary to our belief. The most important of them is guidance, that you are sincere to find God and he guide you to the right way. That is why he used the word here to describe them as the people who went astray and guided others in their path. They have their bride, arrogance and challenge against him so he let them astray.
