En el nombre de Alá = In the name of God
el Compasivo, el Misericordioso = the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alabado sea Alá, Señor del universo = Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,
Dueño del día del Juicio = Owner of the Day of Judgment,
A Ti solo servimos y a Ti solo imploramos ayuda = Thee (alone) we worship; Thee alone we ask for help.
Dirígenos por la vía recta = Show us the straight path
los extraviados = those who go astray
la Escritura = the scripture
exenta de dudas = there is no doubt
convencidos de la otra vida = certain of the Hereafter.
los infieles = the disbelievers
un castigo terrible = an awful doom
el último Día = the Last Day
no creen = they believe not
los que creen = those who believe
Sus corazones están enfermos = In their hearts is a disease
reformadores = reformers
los corruptores = corrupted
Pero no se dan cuenta = But they perceive not.
dirigidos = guided.
Alá es omnipotente = Lo! Allah is Able to do all things.
¡Hombres! Servid a vuestro (Uds) Señor, Que os ha creado = O mankind! Worship your Lord, Who hath created you
guardaos del fuego cuyo combustible lo constituyen hombres y piedras, y que ha sido preparado para los infieles = guard yourselves against the fire prepared for disbelievers, whose fuel is of men and stones.
