Quran : 71. Nooh

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.¡
En el nombre de Alá, el Compasivo, el Misericordioso!

English Pickthall: [71:1]Lo! We sent Noah unto his people (saying): Warn thy people ere the painful doom come unto them.
Spanish: [71:1]Enviamos a Noé a su pueblo: «¡Advierte a tu pueblo antes de que le alcance un castigo doloroso!»

English Pickthall: [71:2]He said: O my people! Lo! I am a plain warner unto you
Spanish: [71:2]Dijo: «¡Pueblo! Soy para vosotros un monitor que habla claro.

English Pickthall: [71:3](Bidding you): Serve Allah and keep your duty unto Him and obey me,
Spanish: [71:3]¡Servid a Alá y temedle! ¡Y obedecedme!

English Pickthall: [71:4]That He may forgive you somewhat of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Lo! the term of Allah, when it cometh, cannot be delayed, if ye but knew.
Spanish: [71:4]Así, os perdonará vuestros pecados y os remitirá a un plazo fijo. Pero, cuando venza el plazo fijado por Alá, no podrá ya ser retardado. Si supierais...»

English Pickthall: [71:5]He said: My Lord! Lo! I have called unto my people night and day
Spanish: [71:5]Dijo: «¡Señor! He llamado a mi pueblo noche y día.

English Pickthall: [71:6]But all my calling doth but add to their repugnance;
Spanish: [71:6]Mi llamamiento sólo ha servido para que huyan más.

English Pickthall: [71:7]And lo! whenever I call unto them that Thou mayst pardon them they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments and persist (in their refusal) and magnify themselves in pride.
Spanish: [71:7]Siempre que les llamo para que Tú les perdones, se ponen los dedos en los oídos, se cubren con la ropa, se obstinan y se muestran en extremo altivos.

English Pickthall: [71:8]And lo! I have called unto them aloud,
Spanish: [71:8]Además, les he llamado abiertamente

English Pickthall: [71:9]And lo! I have made public proclamation unto them, and I have appealed to them in private.
Spanish: [71:9]y les he hablado en público y en secreto.

English Pickthall: [71:10]And I have said: Seek pardon of your Lord. Lo! He was ever Forgiving.
Spanish: [71:10]Y he dicho: '¡Pedid perdón a vuestro Señor -Que es indulgente-

English Pickthall: [71:11]He will let loose the sky for you in plenteous rain,
Spanish: [71:11]y enviará sobre vosotros del cielo una lluvia abundante!

English Pickthall: [71:12]And will help you with wealth and sons, and will assign unto you Gardens and will assign unto you rivers.
Spanish: [71:12]Os dará mucha hacienda e hijos varones. Pondrá a vuestra disposición jardines, pondrá a vuestra disposición arroyos.

English Pickthall: [71:13]What aileth you that ye hope not toward Allah for dignity
Spanish: [71:13]¿Qué os pasa, que no esperáis de Alá magnanimidad,

English Pickthall: [71:14]When He created you by (divers) stages ?
Spanish: [71:14]habiéndoos creado en fases?

English Pickthall: [71:15]See ye not how Allah hath created seven heavens in harmony,
Spanish: [71:15]¿No habéis visto cómo ha creado Alá siete cielos superpuestos

English Pickthall: [71:16]And hath made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp ?
Spanish: [71:16]y puesto en ellos la luna como luz y el sol como lámpara?

English Pickthall: [71:17]And Allah hath caused you to grow as a growth from the earth,
Spanish: [71:17]Alá os ha hecho crecer de la tierra como plantas.

English Pickthall: [71:18]And afterward He maketh you return thereto, and He will bring you forth again, a (new) forthbringing.
Spanish: [71:18]Después, os hará volver a ella, y os sacará.

English Pickthall: [71:19]And Allah hath made the earth a wide expanse for you
Spanish: [71:19]Alá os ha puesto la tierra como alfombra

English Pickthall: [71:20]That ye may thread the valley-ways thereof.
Spanish: [71:20]para que recorráis en ella caminos, anchos pasos'».

English Pickthall: [71:21]Noah said: My Lord! Lo! they have disobeyed me and followed one whose wealth and children increase him in naught save ruin;
Spanish: [71:21]Noé dijo: «¡Señor! Me han desobedecido y han seguido a aquéllos cuya hacienda e hijos no hacen sino perderles más.

English Pickthall: [71:22]And they have plotted a mighty plot,
Spanish: [71:22]Han perpetrado una enorme intriga.

English Pickthall: [71:23]And they have said: Forsake not your gods. Forsake not Wadd, nor Suwa', nor Yaghuth and Ya'uq and Nasr.
Spanish: [71:23]Y dicen: '¡No abandonéis a vuestros dioses! ¡No abandonéis a Wadd, ni a Suwaa, ni a Yagut, a Yauq y a Nasr!'

English Pickthall: [71:24]And they have led many astray, and Thou increasest the wrong-doers in naught save error.
Spanish: [71:24]Han extraviado a muchos. A los impíos ¡no hagas sino extraviarles más!»

English Pickthall: [71:25]Because of their sins they were drowned, then made to enter a Fire. And they found they had no helpers in place of Allah.
Spanish: [71:25]Por sus pecados, fueron anegados e introducidos en un Fuego. No encontraron quien, fuera de Alá, les auxiliara.

English Pickthall: [71:26]And Noah said: My Lord! Leave not one of the disbelievers in the land.
Spanish: [71:26]Noé dijo: «¡Señor! ¡No dejes en la tierra a ningún infiel con vida!

English Pickthall: [71:27]If Thou shouldst leave them, they will mislead Thy slaves and will beget none save lewd ingrates.
Spanish: [71:27]Si les dejas, extraviarán a Tus siervos y no engendrarán sino a pecadores, infieles pertinaces.

English Pickthall: [71:28]My Lord! Forgive me and my parents and him who entereth my house believing, and believing men and believing women, and increase not the wrong-doers in aught save ruin.
Spanish: [71:28]¡Señor! ¡Perdónanos, a mi y a mis padres, a quien entre en mi casa como creyente, a los creyentes y a las creyentes! Y a los impíos ¡no hagas sino perderles más!»
