Mubarak Down and the Egyptian People are Up

By: Maged Taman

We congratulate ourselves and the brave Egyptian people who led the revolution and stood strong with no hesitation to get Mubarak down. I appreciate the speech of President Obama yesterday that made the Army council at least natural or Anti-Mubarak. It is clear from the further requests from America that they want to be sure they have a say in the ongoing changes in Egypt. It was well said by the previous American defense minister that the fear of the revolution is unpredictability since usually the tyrant ride the tiger (the masses) and when he falls you would not know who will ride the tiger. That is why America is looking very closely in the changes in Egypt now. The revolution is that of the Egyptian people they are the one who paid with their blood and buried their heroes (Christians and Muslims). Thus the opposition now is obligated to work for them as well the army council to find how the transition will be and what steps to get us a true constitution and democracy. Do the people need to be in the streets until this happen, likely 2-3 days more. If you go home forget it the snakes will get form under the ground and take over again and the revolution will be a stupid move in the book of history.
