Chapter: 89: The Dawn

89:1 By the Dawn وَالْفَجْرِ (89:1) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:2 And ten nights, وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ (89:2) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:3 And the Even and the Odd, وَالشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِ (89:3) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:4 And the night when it departeth وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَسْرِ (89:4) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:5 There surely is an oath for thinking man. هَلْ فِي ذَلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِّذِي حِجْرٍ (89:5) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:6 Dost thou not consider how thy Lord dealt with (the tribe of) Aad, أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍ (89:6) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:7 With many-columned Iram, إِرَمَ ذَاتِ الْعِمَادِ (89:7) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:8 The like of which was not created in the lands; الَّتِي لَمْ يُخْلَقْ مِثْلُهَا فِي الْبِلَادِ (89:8) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:9 And with (the tribe of) Thamud, who clove the rocks in the valley; وَثَمُودَ الَّذِينَ جَابُوا الصَّخْرَ بِالْوَادِ (89:9) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:10 And with Pharaoh, firm of right, وَفِرْعَوْنَ ذِي الْأَوْتَادِ (89:10) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:11 Who (all) were rebellious (to Allah) these lands, الَّذِينَ طَغَوْا فِي الْبِلَادِ (89:11) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:12 And multiplied inquiry therein? فَأَكْثَرُوا فِيهَا الْفَسَادَ (89:12) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:13 Therefor thy Lord poured on them the disaster of His punishment. فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّكَ سَوْطَ عَذَابٍ (89:13) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:14 Lo! thy Lord is ever watchful. إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِ (89:14) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:15 As for man, whenever his Lord trieth him by honoring him, and is gracious unto him, he saith: My Lord honoureth me. فَأَمَّا الْإِنسَانُ إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكْرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَكْرَمَنِ (89:15) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:16 But whenever He trieth him by straitening his means of life, he saith: My Lord despiseth me. وَأَمَّا إِذَا مَا ابْتَلَاهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقَهُ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّي أَهَانَنِ (89:16) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:17 Nay, but ye (for your part) honor not the orphan كَلَّا بَل لَّا تُكْرِمُونَ الْيَتِيمَ (89:17) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:18 And urge not on the feeding of the poor, وَلَا تَحَاضُّونَ عَلَى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ (89:18) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:19 And ye devour heritages with devouring greed وَتَأْكُلُونَ التُّرَاثَ أَكْلًا لَّمًّا (89:19) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:20 And love wealth with abounding love. وَتُحِبُّونَ الْمَالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا (89:20) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:21 Nay, but when the earth is ground to atoms, grinding, grinding, كَلَّا إِذَا دُكَّتِ الْأَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّا (89:21) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:22 And thy Lord shall come with angels, rank on rank, وَجَاء رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّا (89:22) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:23 And hell is brought near that day; on that day man will remember, but how will the remembrance (then avail him)? وَجِيءَ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْإِنسَانُ وَأَنَّى لَهُ الذِّكْرَى (89:23) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:24 He will say: Ah, would that I had sent before me (some provision) for my life! يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِي (89:24) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:25 None punisheth as He will punish on that day! فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُ أَحَدٌ (89:25) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:26 None bindeth as He then will bind. وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُ أَحَدٌ (89:26) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:27 But ah! thou soul at peace! يَا أَيَّتُهَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ (89:27) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:28 Return unto thy Lord, content in His good pleasure! ارْجِعِي إِلَى رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةً (89:28) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:29 Enter thou among My bondmen! فَادْخُلِي فِي عِبَادِي (89:29) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

89:30 Enter thou My Garden! وَادْخُلِي جَنَّتِي (89:30) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi
