Saudi police open fire on civilians as protests gain momentum
Insecure Saudis crack down on freedom protest

Pro-democracy protests which swept the Arab world earlier in the year have erupted in eastern Saudi Arabia over the past three days, with police opening fire with live rounds and many people injured, opposition activists say.
Saudi Arabia last night confirmed there had been fighting in the region and that 11 security personnel and three civilians had been injured in al-Qatif, a large Shia city on the coast of Saudi Arabia's oil-rich Eastern Province. The opposition say that 24 men and three women were wounded on Monday night and taken to al-Qatif hospital.
The Independent has been given exclusive details of how the protests developed by local activists. They say unrest began on Sunday in al-Awamiyah, a Shia town of about 25,000 people, when Saudi security forces arrested a 60-year-old man to force his son – an activist – to give himself up.
Ahmad Al-Rayah, a spokesman for the Society for Development and Change, which is based in the area, said that most of the civilians hit were wounded in heavy firing by the security forces after 8pm on Monday. "A crowd was throwing stones at a police station and when a local human rights activist named Fadel al-Mansaf went into the station to talk to them and was arrested," he said.
Mr Rayah added that "there have been protests for democracy and civil rights since February, but in the past the police fired into the air. This is the first time they have fired live rounds directly into a crowd." He could not confirm if anybody had been killed.
The Shia of Saudi Arabia, mostly concentrated in the Eastern Province, have long complained of discrimination against them by the fundamentalist Sunni Saudi monarchy. The Wahhabi variant of Islam, the dominant faith in Saudi Arabia, holds Shia to be heretics who are not real Muslims.
The US, as the main ally of Saudi Arabia, is likely to be alarmed by the spread of pro-democracy protests to the Kingdom and particularly to that part of it which contains the largest oil reserves in the world. The Saudi Shia have been angered at the crushing of the pro-democracy movement in Bahrain since March, with many protesters jailed, tortured or killed, according Western human rights organisations.
Hamza al-Hassan, an opponent of the Saudi government from Eastern Province living in Britain, predicted that protests would spread to more cities. "I am frightened when I see video film of events because most people in this region have guns brought in over the years from Iraq and Yemen and will use them [against government security men]," he said. He gave a slightly different account of the start of the riots in al-Awamiyah, saying that two elderly men had been arrested by the security forces, one of whom had a heart attack.
"Since September there has been a huge presence of Saudi security forces in al-Qatif and all other Shia centres," he said. Al-Qatif was the scene of similar protests in March, which were swiftly quashed by security forces.
The Saudi statement alleges that the recent protests were stirred up by an unnamed foreign power, by which it invariably means Iran. The interior ministry was quoted on Saudi television as saying that "a foreign country is trying to undermine national security by inciting strife in al-Qatif". Saudi Arabia and the Sunni monarchies of the western Gulf have traditionally blamed Iran for any unrest by local Shia, but have never produced any evidence other than to point at sympathetic treatment of the demonstrations on Iranian television.
The 20 doctors in Bahrain sentenced to up to 15 years in prison last week say their interrogators tortured them repeatedly to force them to make false confessions that Iran was behind the protests. The counter-revolution in Bahrain was heralded by the arrival of a 1,500-strong Saudi-led military force, which is still there.
Mr Rayah, who flew from Saudi Arabia to Beirut to be free to talk about the protests, said: "People want a change and a new way of living." He said that, in particular, they were demanding a constitution and a free assembly for the Eastern Province. He also wanted the Society for Development and Change legally registered.
Mr Hassan blamed the protests on the fact "that there has been no political breakthrough".
"I am from the city of al-Safwa, which is very close to al-Awamiyah, and there is very high unemployment in both," he said. Some 70 per cent of the Saudi population is believed to be under 30 and many do not have jobs. "We were hoping for municipal reforms and regional elections for years but we got nothing."
He said reforms reported in the Western media were meaningless and that only a few Saudis had bothered to vote in the most recent local elections because local councils had no power.

The Journey into the Hereafter (part 1 of 8): An Introduction

Introduction
Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam who passed away in 632, related:
“Gabriel came to me and said, ‘O Muhammad, live as you wish, for you shall eventually die. Love whom you desire, for you shall eventually depart. Do what you please, for you shall pay. Know that the night-prayer[1] is the honor of a believer, and his pride is being independant on others.’” (Silsilah al-Saheehah)
If there is only one thing certain about life, it is that it ends. This truism instinctively raises a question which preoccupies most people at least once in their life: What lies beyond death?
At the physiological level, the journey that the deceased takes is plain for all to witness. If left alone to natural causes,[2] the heart will stop beating, the lungs will stop breathing, and the body’s cells will be starved of blood and oxygen. The termination of blood flow to the outer extremities will soon turn them pale. With the oxygen cut off, cells will respire anaerobically for a time, producing the lactic acid which causes rigor mortis – the stiffening of the corpse’s muscles. Then, as the cells begin to decompose, the stiffness wanes, the tongue protrudes, the temperature drops, the skin discolors, the flesh rots, and the parasites have their feast - until all that is left is dried-out tooth and bone.
As for the journey of the soul after death, then this is not something that can be witnessed, nor can it be gauged through scientific enquiry. Even in a living body, the conscious, or soul, of a person cannot be subjected to empirical experimentation. It is simply beyond human control. In this regard, the concept of a Hereafter - a life beyond death, resurrection, and a Day of Reckoning; not to mention the existence of a Divine, Omnipotent Creator, His angels, destiny, and so on - comes under the subject of belief in the unseen. The only way in which man can come to know anything of the unseen world is through divine revelation.
“And with God are the keys of the unseen, none knows them but He. And He knows whatever there is in (or on) the earth and in the sea; not a leaf falls, but He knows it. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record.” (Quran 6:59)
While what has come down to us of the Torah, the Psalms, the Gospel - the scriptures revealed to early prophets - all speak of a Hereafter, it is only through God’s Final Revelation to humanity, the Holy Quran, as revealed to His Final Prophet, Muhammad, that we learn most about the afterlife. And as the Quran is, and will forever remain, preserved and uncorrupted by human hands, the insight it gives us into the world of the unseen is, for the believer, as factual, real and true as anything that can be learnt through any scientific endeavor (and with a zero margin of error!).
“…We have neglected nothing in the Book; then unto their Lord they shall all be gathered.” (Quran 6:38)
Coupled with the question of what happens after we die, is the question: Why are we here? For if there is indeed no greater purpose to life (that is, greater than simply living life itself), the question of what happens after death becomes academic, if not pointless. It is only if one first accepts that our intelligent design, our creation, necessitates an intelligence and designer behind it, a Creator who will judge us for what we do, that life on earth carries any significant meaning.
“Then did you think that We created you in vain and that to Us you would not be returned? Therefore exalted be God, the Sovereign, the Truth; no deity is there save Him, Lord of the Supreme Throne.” (Quran 23:115-116)
If aught else, a discerning person would be forced to conclude that life on earth is full of injustice, cruelty and oppression; that the law of the jungle, survival of the fittest, is what is paramount; that if one cannot find happiness in this life, whether due to an absence of material comforts, physical love, or other joyous experiences, then life is simply not worth living. In fact, it is precisely because a person despairs of this worldly life while having little, no, or imperfect faith in an afterlife, that they may commit suicide. After all, what else do the unhappy, unloved and unwanted; the dejected, (desperately) depressed and despairing have to lose?![3]
“And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?” (Quran 15:56)
So can we accept that our death is limited to mere physiological termination, or that life is merely a product of blind, selfish evolution? Surely, there is more to death, and so to life, than this.

(CNN) -- Hero Vincent has a dream: to see the titans of Wall Street trade their palatial office suites for a row of dank prison cells.
The crime? Theft. Stealing billion-dollar, taxpayer-funded bailouts. Getting rich on your dime while you struggle to make ends meet.
And if you're tired of standing by while the rich get richer and the middle class crumbles, he has a suggestion: Take it to the streets.
Vincent, 21 and unemployed, has suddenly become one of several unofficial spokesmen for Occupy Wall Street, a leaderless protest movement made largely of twenty-somethings upset with the state of the economy, the state of the war in Afghanistan, the state of the environment, and the state of America and the world in general.
If that sounds vague, it's meant to be. In less than three weeks, the movement has become a magnet for countless disaffected Americans. And at a time when an overwhelming majority of Americans say the country's on the wrong track, there's no shortage of new potential recruits.

On Saturday, more than 700 protesters were arrested for blocking the Brooklyn Bridge. A splinter group called Occupy Chicago touted a "huge afternoon march." In Boston, 34 groups -- unions and other organizations focused on everything from foreclosure prevention to climate change -- marched for "an economy that works for all of us," according to one website.
Over on the West Coast, Occupy Los Angeles kicked off with a march to City Hall. In Seattle, demonstrators touted "a leaderless resistance movement with people of many colors (and) genders."
'Occupy Wall Street' protests spread
On Monday, a live video feed from Occupy Wall Street was featured at the start of a three-day conference of progressive leaders in Washington.
What does it all mean?
"We're here for different reasons," said Vincent, whose father is also unemployed and recently went through a home foreclosure. "But at the end of the day, it all boils down to one thing, and that's accountability. We want accountability for the connection between Wall Street and the politicians."
"Something has to change," he told CNN. "We're out here because we're tired of what's been going on."
Giles Clarke, a 46-year-old freelance photographer and father of two, echoes Vincent's call for greater accountability.
"People have simply had enough," Clarke said. "We're living in an age where the inequality between high-end Wall Street and the (rest of us) is simply a gap that has become too big. Millions of people have lost their jobs. Millions of people have lost their homes."
There's been, Clarke said, "way too much cloak-and-dagger activity within the corridors of Wall Street" in recent years. "This is about raising awareness and a change of political discourse."
The average person, according to Vincent, "is just fed up because there's no more middle class. The margin between us and the employers is so great now. Where will we be in a couple of years?"
Does he actually want to occupy Wall Street and shut it down?
"We want to educate people," Vincent said. But "if Wall Street actually shuts down, we'll be happy about it."
The movement "feels like something that will ultimately spread like the Arab spring," said Egberto Willies, a CNN iReporter in Washington. "I call it the American autumn."
Occupy Wall Street and its offshoots have clear strains of liberal economic populism -- a powerful force in U.S. history during various times characterized by growing economic stress. That said, it could be a mistake to label or tie the movement to a specific agenda, said Susan Olzak, a Stanford University sociology professor.
"It's difficult to classify a social protest movement early on in its history," Olzak told CNN. "Clearer goals could eventually emerge, but there's no guarantee."
"Many movements fizzle out. Others become more organized," she said. But "I think we run a risk (by) taking a snapshot at any one point in time, and trying to categorize the movement in any one way based on that snapshot. The only way to study these protest movements is to follow them over time."
If Vincent, Willies and Clarke have their way, there will be plenty of time for this movement to continue to grow and evolve. Some observers question if it could become a liberal counterweight to the conservative populism of the tea party.
For his part, Clarke predicts the movement will go international in the next few months.
"Let's get talking," he urged. "Let's have some of these issues looked at."

The economic system of the west is not working, it does just try to serve the rich and elites. For the economic system to work the very rich should not control politicians and policies. See how Bush and his co took us for wars for oil companies and oil Gulf tyrants. Then he and Obama bailed out the wall street rich guys. Obama was a big joke a change we are waiting for. Bush was a big joke freedom to his friends the tyrants and big oil guys. If Obama or bush believed in democracy they would have let me talk to the media years ago or have the real number of hits in my website. They can not handle the truth. They were afraid that I will bring down the tyrants many of them are their friends look at the photos of Bush and Obama before the tyrant fall and see when a tyrant is about to fall they stand with the people so they take the credit and to be sure to have a say on who will govern us next. It is not about America or the American people it is about the elites and imperialism. It is time for us to have better living conditions and more security to our health and pensions. It is time for new system not the falling one of Europe and America. It is the time of the young guys from everywhere to make their world and not the old players who controlled the world for decades.

"It's difficult to classify a social protest movement early on in its history," Olzak told CNN. "Clearer goals could eventually emerge, but there's no guarantee."
"Many movements fizzle out. Others become more organized," she said. But "I think we run a risk (by) taking a snapshot at any one point in time, and trying to categorize the movement in any one way based on that snapshot. The only way to study these protest movements is to follow them over time."
If Vincent, Willies and Clarke have their way, there will be plenty of time for this movement to continue to grow and evolve. Some observers question if it could become a liberal counterweight to the conservative populism of the tea party.
For his part, Clarke predicts the movement will go international in the next few months.
"Let's get talking," he urged. "Let's have some of these issues looked at."

Becoming compssionately numb

Do we have no more room in our hearts to care for this Haitian earthquake victim?
ABOUT the only thing tanking faster than consumer confidence and the Greek economy would be the global compassion index, if such a measure existed.
Consider just a few recent news items: Americans are balking at extending unemployment benefits, and even disaster relief was in doubt for a time last week in another of Washington’s budget skirmishes; Europeans are cutting payments to pensioners; and “there’s no mood for intervention” to avert famine in Somalia, according to one diplomat.
At a recent Republican presidential debate, the audience erupted into cheers upon hearing Texas’s nation-leading rate of executions.
Behind such sentiments lie genuine concerns, be they for law and order or personal responsibility, not to mention limited resources and a struggling economy. After all, a lowering tide grounds a lot of rescue boats, literally and psychologically.
Yet psychologists and primatologists have been arguing for years that compassion is an evolved instinct, rooted in the brain’s circuitry. In a new book, “The Better Angels of Our Nature,” the psychologist Steven Pinker calls empathy “the latest fashion in human nature.” Chimpanzees show evidence of compassion, as do some monkeys; even mice seem to feel the pain of close peers. But if current trends continue, rats might become a more appropriate subject of study.
Are people today — are societies — really becoming somehow more callous?
The answer is no, of course not — at least not in any fundamental sense. But compassion is a limited resource, a system rooted in cognitive networks that tire and need refueling. And it’s not always rational.
Those in the so-called helping professions know as much about the limits of empathy as they do about its merits. Studies of oncology nurses, trauma workers and even marriage counselors, among others, have documented a common “compassion fatigue” that seems directly related to the amount of emotion shared. “In particular, listening to people who are suffering and not being able to do enough for them puts a tremendous weight” on caregivers, said Dr. Charles Figley, a psychologist at Tulane University.
In just the past decade, he said, professional organizations have begun to give guidelines to offset fatigue, like urging counselors to take time off, seek support from colleagues, even engage in therapy themselves.
Therapists quickly learn to recognize the signs.
Fatigue often results “when you’re seeing the same problems repeatedly, when they’re chronic, and when the outcomes are not good,” said Bret A. Moore, a former Army psychologist and co-author of “Wheels Down: Adjusting to Life After Deployment.” “One sign that you’re there is that you start hoping your appointments cancel.”
The public has a similar reaction to mass joblessness and starving countries alike: the problems sap the imagination in part simply because they are daunting and have not responded well to previous efforts. We have already pumped billions into each, with little visible effect. If only they would cancel their next emergency.
Still, even when rested and ready, people generally find it far harder to extend empathetic concern to a nation than to a neighbor. The helping instinct evolved to protect the household, the clan. Some psychologists make a distinction between moral intuition, the physical horror at seeing someone hit by a car or the tears of a parent whose son is kidnapped; and moral reason, the more intellectual process of grasping larger tragedies, like floods and famine.
THE former is a stronger, more emotionally visceral reaction, which is why people often show far more compassion for an individual victim than for a dozen, or 100, or an entire region.
“I sometimes make the analogy to vision,” said Paul Slovic, a psychologist at the University of Oregon and president of a nonprofit company called Decision Research. “We have this sophisticated capability that’s rational and works well most of the time; but it can also be misleading” — in the same way the eye is fooled by optical illusions.
In a recent study, Dr. Slovic and two colleagues, Daniel Vastfjall and Ellen Peters, tested this relationship directly. They found that when study participants saw a picture of a single victim, a 7-year-old girl named Rokia, they donated twice as much money to a hunger charity than when told only that the organization was working to save millions.
Another group of participants was presented with both the photo and the statistics, the single fragile soul along with the larger context. They made significantly lower contributions than those presented with just a picture of Rokia. Other studies have picked up the same pattern, a falling off of concern after people respond to the suffering of a single individual. “This is one of those results that, when people see it, they recognize it in themselves,” Dr. Slovic said. “But it’s one thing to recognize it and another to confront it directly.”
Dr. Slovic calls this nearsightedness in compassion “psychic numbing” and blames it for much of the West’s inertia in response to atrocities and genocide in places like Rwanda and Darfur.
Yet a strange thing happens once the action starts. Human compassion, like all highly evolved social responses, is not always helpful. Yes, it can and does move people to concern. But to be helpful on the ground amid real suffering, it may be necessary, paradoxically, to blunt empathetic instincts.
In a 2010 study, Chinese and American researchers took brain-wave readings from participants as they watched another person prick himself with a pin, or dab himself with a cotton swab. Half of the people in the study showed clear differences in their reactions to the pinprick and the swab — a measure of their “pain empathy response,” as the authors describe it.
But the other half did not. They were doctors, with long experience managing sickness and pain. “We believe they learned to inhibit this reaction somewhat,” said Jean Decety of the University of Chicago, one of the authors. “This frees up cognitive resources, we think,” allowing them to do their jobs better.
In his book “Death in Life: Survivors of Hiroshima,” the psychiatrist Robert Jay Lifton argued that rescue workers at Hiroshima were able to function at all only because they succeeded in “turning off” their feelings of compassion. He called that process “psychic numbing,” too, and it’s a reminder that empathy may be a limited resource for a reason.
Real action, when it’s called for, often requires a cool heart, if not a cold one.

Though both could be the same the mental part of what to do may achieve what is our empathy was about. Many of care givers and emergency responders get numb because they used to see these things over and over. They are not emotionless but it is good survival mechanism for their own health and welfare and for the sake of people they help. What moves the world in large part is the media and politicians. Everyone has his own problems who would care about a famine here, suffering here or there. The politicians and media their interest is their own interest and not directing us to these mishaps. Politicians move in large part by pressures and their own interest while media moves more according to their rating, competition and profits. The time may come that the main function of politicians and media are taking care of these severe problems and people well-being. At times empathy comes to you as to do what is right and just that they look the same to you that you do not know which is which you just do it.

بالرستن بالغ السوء
تصعيد بحمص وتوسع الانشقاقات
وسعت القوات السورية اليوم الأحد نطاق عملياتها العسكرية بمحافظة حمص وسط سوريا، بعدما أحكمت قبضتها على مدينة الرستن التي تعرضت خلال أيام لقصف أوقع عشرات القتلى, في حين تصاعدت وتيرة الانشقاقات, وتواصلت المظاهرات المناهضة لنظام الرئيس بشار الأسد.
وقالت الهيئة العامة للثورة السورية إن أكثر من خمسين آلية عسكرية غادرت اليوم الرستن إلى منطقة الحولة.
وكانت تلك الآليات ضمن نحو 250 دبابة ومدرعة اجتاحت أمس الرستن، بعد مواجهات عنيفة مع مئات العسكريين المنشقين المنتمين للجيش السوري الحر.
وضع الرستنوقالت وكالة الأنباء السورية في وقت سابق اليوم إن الأمن والهدوء عادا إلى المدينة التي يقارب عدد سكانها ستين ألفا.
واستعادت القوات السورية السيطرة على الرستن بعدما قصفتها بالأسلحة الثقيلة لمدة خمسة أيام تقريبا، مما أسفر عن مقتل ما يصل إلى 130 شخصا وفقا لتقديرات ناشطين سوريين.
وقال ناشطون إن قوات الأمن والجيش التي اقتحمت المدينة اعتقلت ما لا يقل عن ثلاثة آلاف من سكانها, وتحتجزهم في مدارس.
وكانت تلك القوات قد دخلت المدينة بعد انسحاب العسكريين المنشقين من كتيبة خالد بن الوليد، وهي واحدة من الكتائب التي شكلها ما يسمى الجيش السوري الحر.
وقال ناشطون محليون إن عمليات المنشقين في الرستن كانت تجري تحت قيادة الملازم عبد الرحمن الشيخ.
من جهته, وصف المرصد السوري لحقوق الإنسان اليوم الوضع في الرستن بأنه بالغ السوء, مشيرا إلى أن القصف الذي استمر أياما دمر منازل كثيرة, وتحدث عن دفن عشرات القتلى في حدائق المنازل.
وفي محافظة حمص التي شهدت أعنف الحملات العسكرية والأمنية منذ بدء الاحتجاجات منتصف مارس/آذار الماضي, تحاصر الدبابات مدينة تلبيسة منذ خمسة أيام, ودعا ناشطون إلى التظاهر غدا تضامنا مع أهلها.
وفي مدينة حمص نفسها, اعتقلت المخابرات الجوية منصور الأتاسي القيادي في هيئة التنسيق لقوى التغيير الوطني الديمقراطي، وفق ما قاله المرصد السوري لحقوق الإنسان.
وفي إدلب شمال سوريا, سلم الأمن اليوم جثتي شخصين إلى ذويهما بعد أيام من اعتقالهما ببلدة خان شيخون, وقد بدت على جثتيهما آثار تعذيب حسب ما أكد ناشطون. وفي إدلب أيضا, تحدثت وكالة الأنباء السورية عن استهداف قطار شحن في جسر الشغور بعبوة ناسفة، مما أدى إلى إصابة السائق ومرافقه.
وقالت السلطات إن عناصر أمنية ومدنيين قتلوا أثناء محاولة تفكيك عبوة ناسفة في دوما بريف دمشق, لكن ناشطين قالوا إن أفراد الأمن كانوا سيزرعون العبوة في حضور فريق من تلفزيون الدنيا المؤيد للنظام، في محاولة للإيهام بأن "عصابات إرهابية" هي المسؤولة عن ذلك.
آثار تدمير بالرستن نسبتها وكالة الأنباء السورية إلى "العصابات الإرهابية" (الفرنسية)انشقاقات العسكريينوفي مقابل العمليات العسكرية والأمنية التي تعم معظم المحافظات السورية, تتصاعد وتيرة انشقاق العسكريين. وقال ناشطون إن نحو 250 جنديا وأربعة ضباط منشقين اشتبكوا مع الجيش في قرية كفرنبودة بريف حماة وسط تحليق للطيران الحربي فوق المنطقة.
وتحدثت مواقع المعارضة السورية في وقت سابق عن اشتباكات في مدينة البوكمال قرب الحدود مع العراق بين القوات السورية ومنشقين.
ووفقا للمصدر ذاته, استهدفت فصيلة من كتيبة "الله أكبر" التابعة "للجيش السوري الحر" سيارة جيب تقل عناصر من الأمن ومليشيات "الشبيحة" الموالية للنظام، مما أسفر عن قتل خمسة منهم. وانشق أيضا 19 عسكريا بعتادهم في جبل الزاوية بإدلب وانضموا إلى "الجيش السوري الحر"، حسب ناشطين.
وقال ضابط رفيع منشق عن الجيش السوري في وقت سابق إن أكثر من عشرة آلاف جندي انشقوا عن الجيش، وإنهم يهاجمون الشرطة التي تجبر الناس على الولاء للأسد.
في الأثناء, أعلن في حمص تشكيل المجلس العسكري للكتائب المنشقة عن الجيش السوري, ويتألف من سرايا تحمل اسم خالد بن الوليد, وتضم سرايا فرعية تحمل اسم النشامى, وحمص, وأحرار تلبيسة, وعمر بن الخطاب, وعلي بن أبي طالب, وأبي ذر الغفاري. وقال بيان للمجلس إن "المقاتلين سيمضون بخطوات ثابتة نحو النصر".
المظاهرات مستمرة رغم التضييق الأمني (الجزيرة)
مظاهراتفي الأثناء, تظاهر اليوم والليلة الماضية آلاف السوريين تضامنا مع أهالي الرستن, بينما دعا ناشطون إلى التظاهر غدا نصرة لمدينة تلبيسة.
وخرجت اليوم مظاهرات -بعضها طلابية- في عدة مدن وبلدات بمحافظات درعا وريف دمشق وإدلب وحماة، وفق ما أظهرته تسجيلات مصورة بثها ناشطون على الإنترنت.
وشملت المظاهرات أيضا اليوم أحياء في مدينة حمص, وبلدات حولها منها تدمر.
ودعا ناشطون طلاب الجامعات إلى تصعيد احتجاجاتهم هذا الأسبوع، في وقت يقاطع فيها بعض طلاب المعاد الثانوية والابتدائية الدراسة في سياق الاحتجاجات المناهضة للنظام, أو خشية الاعتقال.

انقطعت المسبحة وانتثرت حباتها
ازدادت وتيرة الإنضمام إلى الجيش السوري الحر بعدما زادت الاتصالات بين المجندين في الثكنات وإنكشاف المهمات الموكّلة إليهم بحماية الشبيحة وفروع الأمن والمخابرات ثمّ هؤلاء يكملون مهام القتل والإعتقال والتنكيل بالأهل تحت زريعة البحث عن عصابات مسلّحة ، والأيام القادمة فيها مفاجآت ستكون صدمة للنظام الذي طالما وثق بنفسه منذ سنين في خنق أي إعتراض على حكمه الفاشستي .

تجربة الجيش السوري الحر في الرستن تجربه ممتازه يجب ان يستفاد منها,, حيث يجب عليهم تكرارها كثيرا في مدن اخرى وبنفس الطريقه مقاومه واستنزاف ثم انسحاب. هذه الطريقه تستنزف جيش النظام وتستنزف النظام ماليا وتزيد من عدد المنشقين. وبالتالي يضعف النظام وجيشه وحينها تقترب ساعة الحمله الشامله عليه.

تصعيد بحمص وتوسع الانشقاقات
وسعت القوات السورية اليوم الأحد نطاق عملياتها العسكرية بمحافظة حمص وسط سوريا، بعدما أحكمت قبضتها على مدينة الرستن التي تعرضت خلال أيام لقصف أوقع عشرات القتلى, في حين تصاعدت وتيرة الانشقاقات, وتواصلت المظاهرات المناهضة لنظام الرئيس بشار الأسد.
وقالت الهيئة العامة للثورة السورية إن أكثر من خمسين آلية عسكرية غادرت اليوم الرستن إلى منطقة الحولة.
وكانت تلك الآليات ضمن نحو 250 دبابة ومدرعة اجتاحت أمس الرستن، بعد مواجهات عنيفة مع مئات العسكريين المنشقين المنتمين للجيش السوري الحر.
وضع الرستنوقالت وكالة الأنباء السورية في وقت سابق اليوم إن الأمن والهدوء عادا إلى المدينة التي يقارب عدد سكانها ستين ألفا.
واستعادت القوات السورية السيطرة على الرستن بعدما قصفتها بالأسلحة الثقيلة لمدة خمسة أيام تقريبا، مما أسفر عن مقتل ما يصل إلى 130 شخصا وفقا لتقديرات ناشطين سوريين.
وقال ناشطون إن قوات الأمن والجيش التي اقتحمت المدينة اعتقلت ما لا يقل عن ثلاثة آلاف من سكانها, وتحتجزهم في مدارس.
وكانت تلك القوات قد دخلت المدينة بعد انسحاب العسكريين المنشقين من كتيبة خالد بن الوليد، وهي واحدة من الكتائب التي شكلها ما يسمى الجيش السوري الحر.
وقال ناشطون محليون إن عمليات المنشقين في الرستن كانت تجري تحت قيادة الملازم عبد الرحمن الشيخ.
من جهته, وصف المرصد السوري لحقوق الإنسان اليوم الوضع في الرستن بأنه بالغ السوء, مشيرا إلى أن القصف الذي استمر أياما دمر منازل كثيرة, وتحدث عن دفن عشرات القتلى في حدائق المنازل.
وفي محافظة حمص التي شهدت أعنف الحملات العسكرية والأمنية منذ بدء الاحتجاجات منتصف مارس/آذار الماضي, تحاصر الدبابات مدينة تلبيسة منذ خمسة أيام, ودعا ناشطون إلى التظاهر غدا تضامنا مع أهلها.
وفي مدينة حمص نفسها, اعتقلت المخابرات الجوية منصور الأتاسي القيادي في هيئة التنسيق لقوى التغيير الوطني الديمقراطي، وفق ما قاله المرصد السوري لحقوق الإنسان.
وفي إدلب شمال سوريا, سلم الأمن اليوم جثتي شخصين إلى ذويهما بعد أيام من اعتقالهما ببلدة خان شيخون, وقد بدت على جثتيهما آثار تعذيب حسب ما أكد ناشطون. وفي إدلب أيضا, تحدثت وكالة الأنباء السورية عن استهداف قطار شحن في جسر الشغور بعبوة ناسفة، مما أدى إلى إصابة السائق ومرافقه.
وقالت السلطات إن عناصر أمنية ومدنيين قتلوا أثناء محاولة تفكيك عبوة ناسفة في دوما بريف دمشق, لكن ناشطين قالوا إن أفراد الأمن كانوا سيزرعون العبوة في حضور فريق من تلفزيون الدنيا المؤيد للنظام، في محاولة للإيهام بأن "عصابات إرهابية" هي المسؤولة عن ذلك.
آثار تدمير بالرستن نسبتها وكالة الأنباء السورية إلى "العصابات الإرهابية" (الفرنسية)انشقاقات العسكريينوفي مقابل العمليات العسكرية والأمنية التي تعم معظم المحافظات السورية, تتصاعد وتيرة انشقاق العسكريين. وقال ناشطون إن نحو 250 جنديا وأربعة ضباط منشقين اشتبكوا مع الجيش في قرية كفرنبودة بريف حماة وسط تحليق للطيران الحربي فوق المنطقة.
وتحدثت مواقع المعارضة السورية في وقت سابق عن اشتباكات في مدينة البوكمال قرب الحدود مع العراق بين القوات السورية ومنشقين.
ووفقا للمصدر ذاته, استهدفت فصيلة من كتيبة "الله أكبر" التابعة "للجيش السوري الحر" سيارة جيب تقل عناصر من الأمن ومليشيات "الشبيحة" الموالية للنظام، مما أسفر عن قتل خمسة منهم. وانشق أيضا 19 عسكريا بعتادهم في جبل الزاوية بإدلب وانضموا إلى "الجيش السوري الحر"، حسب ناشطين.
وقال ضابط رفيع منشق عن الجيش السوري في وقت سابق إن أكثر من عشرة آلاف جندي انشقوا عن الجيش، وإنهم يهاجمون الشرطة التي تجبر الناس على الولاء للأسد.
في الأثناء, أعلن في حمص تشكيل المجلس العسكري للكتائب المنشقة عن الجيش السوري, ويتألف من سرايا تحمل اسم خالد بن الوليد, وتضم سرايا فرعية تحمل اسم النشامى, وحمص, وأحرار تلبيسة, وعمر بن الخطاب, وعلي بن أبي طالب, وأبي ذر الغفاري. وقال بيان للمجلس إن "المقاتلين سيمضون بخطوات ثابتة نحو النصر".
المظاهرات مستمرة رغم التضييق الأمني (الجزيرة)
مظاهراتفي الأثناء, تظاهر اليوم والليلة الماضية آلاف السوريين تضامنا مع أهالي الرستن, بينما دعا ناشطون إلى التظاهر غدا نصرة لمدينة تلبيسة.
وخرجت اليوم مظاهرات -بعضها طلابية- في عدة مدن وبلدات بمحافظات درعا وريف دمشق وإدلب وحماة، وفق ما أظهرته تسجيلات مصورة بثها ناشطون على الإنترنت.
وشملت المظاهرات أيضا اليوم أحياء في مدينة حمص, وبلدات حولها منها تدمر.
ودعا ناشطون طلاب الجامعات إلى تصعيد احتجاجاتهم هذا الأسبوع، في وقت يقاطع فيها بعض طلاب المعاد الثانوية والابتدائية الدراسة في سياق الاحتجاجات المناهضة للنظام, أو خشية الاعتقال.

انقطعت المسبحة وانتثرت حباتها
ازدادت وتيرة الإنضمام إلى الجيش السوري الحر بعدما زادت الاتصالات بين المجندين في الثكنات وإنكشاف المهمات الموكّلة إليهم بحماية الشبيحة وفروع الأمن والمخابرات ثمّ هؤلاء يكملون مهام القتل والإعتقال والتنكيل بالأهل تحت زريعة البحث عن عصابات مسلّحة ، والأيام القادمة فيها مفاجآت ستكون صدمة للنظام الذي طالما وثق بنفسه منذ سنين في خنق أي إعتراض على حكمه الفاشستي .

حضر العلامة الدكتور يوسف القرضاوي، رئيس الاتحاد العالمي لعلماء المسلمين، احتفال السفارة السعودية في الدوحة باليوم الوطني للمملكة، والذي أقامه السفير السعودي في قطر السيد أحمد بن علي القحطاني.
وحضر الحفل الذي أقيم 26 الجاري فضيلة الدكتور علي محيي الدين القره داغي الأمين العام للاتحاد العالمي لعلماء المسلمين، بجانب لفيف من الوزراء والسفراء، ورؤساء تحرير الصحف المحلية، وجمع غفير من المفكرين والكتاب وأساتذة الجامعات.
وفي كلمته بالمناسبة ذكر السفير القحطاني بمناقب الملك الراحل عبدالعزيز بن عبدالرحمن آل سعود مؤسس المملكة العربية السعودية، ولفت إلى قول له (يدلل على هدف من أهداف المملكة منذ قيامها وحتى الآن وهو توحيد كلمة العرب ونصرة قضاياهم... "إنني أتمنى أن يتم جمع المسلمين وتوحد كلمتهم وإنني على استعداد لأن أكون أنا وأسرتي كجندي بسيط في هذا الشأن.. ولن أدخر جهداً في سبيل توحيد بلادي وتوحيد كلمة العرب وتأسيس الوحدة بين العرب، وإذا كنت أسعى في ذلك فلست أريد من وراء ذلك جزاء ولا شكورا").

Qaradawi is not Al mahdi Al muntazer, he pays tributes to the tyrants of Saudi. They are in any level corrupt people. They stood with the tyrants of Egypt, Tunis and Yemen and are the prime enemy of Islam. I am quite surprised since I thought he is in our side. حضر العلامة الدكتور يوسف القرضاوي، رئيس الاتحاد العالمي لعلماء المسلمين، احتفال السفارة السعودية في الدوحة باليوم الوطني للمملكة، والذي أقامه السفير السعودي في قطر السيد أحمد بن علي القحطاني.
وحضر الحفل الذي أقيم 26 الجاري فضيلة الدكتور علي محيي الدين القره داغي الأمين العام للاتحاد العالمي لعلماء المسلمين، بجانب لفيف من الوزراء والسفراء، ورؤساء تحرير الصحف المحلية، وجمع غفير من المفكرين والكتاب وأساتذة الجامعات.
وفي كلمته بالمناسبة ذكر السفير القحطاني بمناقب الملك الراحل عبدالعزيز بن عبدالرحمن آل سعود مؤسس المملكة العربية السعودية، ولفت إلى قول له (يدلل على هدف من أهداف المملكة منذ قيامها وحتى الآن وهو توحيد كلمة العرب ونصرة قضاياهم... "إنني أتمنى أن يتم جمع المسلمين وتوحد كلمتهم وإنني على استعداد لأن أكون أنا وأسرتي كجندي بسيط في هذا الشأن.. ولن أدخر جهداً في سبيل توحيد بلادي وتوحيد كلمة العرب وتأسيس الوحدة بين العرب، وإذا كنت أسعى في ذلك فلست أريد من وراء ذلك جزاء ولا شكورا").

Qaradawi is not Al mahdi Al muntazer, he pays tributes to the tyrants of Saudi. They are in any level corrupt people. They stood with the tyrants of Egypt, Tunis and Yemen and are the prime enemy of Islam. I am quite surprised since I thought he is in our side. An Iranian pastor may be executed in Tehran for refusing to recant his religious beliefs and convert from Christianity to Islam, according to a news report. This is directly in violation of the Quranic command that says there is no compulsion in matters of faith.
Christians and people of other faiths have a right to freely practice what they believe. Those who use the name of God to justify their coercive action do so against the divine guidance. We must not remain silent on this issue. We must hold Iran accountable for this un-Islamic position.
The Quran does not pronounce death to apostates. The Quran, on the contrary, gives freedom to choose. Chapter 2 verse 256 says there is no compulsion in matters of faith.
The Quran also says, “The truth is from your Lord”: Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it) (chapter 18: verse 29).

The Bankers and the Revolutionaries

AFTER flying around the world this year to cover street protests from Cairo to Morocco, reporting on the latest “uprising” was easier: I took the subway.
The “Occupy Wall Street” movement has taken over a park in Manhattan’s financial district and turned it into a revolutionary camp. Hundreds of young people chant slogans against “banksters” or corporate tycoons. Occasionally, a few even pull off their clothes, which always draws news cameras.
“Occupy Wall Street” was initially treated as a joke, but after a couple of weeks it’s gaining traction. The crowds are still tiny by protest standards — mostly in the hundreds, swelling during periodic marches — but similar occupations are bubbling up in Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington. David Paterson, the former New York governor, dropped by, and labor unions are lending increasing support.
I tweeted that the protest reminded me a bit of Tahrir Square in Cairo, and that raised eyebrows. True, no bullets are whizzing around, and the movement won’t unseat any dictators. But there is the same cohort of alienated young people, and the same savvy use of Twitter and other social media to recruit more participants. Most of all, there’s a similar tide of youthful frustration with a political and economic system that protesters regard as broken, corrupt, unresponsive and unaccountable.
“This was absolutely inspired by Tahrir Square, by the Arab Spring movement,” said Tyler Combelic, 27, a Web designer from Brooklyn who is a spokesman for the occupiers. “Enough is enough!”
The protesters are dazzling in their Internet skills, and impressive in their organization. The square is divided into a reception area, a media zone, a medical clinic, a library and a cafeteria. The protesters’ Web site includes links allowing supporters anywhere in the world to go online and order pizzas (vegan preferred) from a local pizzeria that delivers them to the square.
In a tribute to the ingenuity of capitalism, the pizzeria quickly added a new item to its menu: the “OccuPie special.”
Where the movement falters is in its demands: It doesn’t really have any. The participants pursue causes that are sometimes quixotic — like the protester who calls for removing Andrew Jackson from the $20 bill because of his brutality to American Indians. So let me try to help.
I don’t share the antimarket sentiments of many of the protesters. Banks are invaluable institutions that, when functioning properly, move capital to its best use and raise living standards. But it’s also true that soaring leverage not only nurtured soaring bank profits in good years, but also soaring risks for the public in bad years.
In effect, the banks socialized risk and privatized profits. Securitizing mortgages, for example, made many bankers wealthy while ultimately leaving governments indebted and citizens homeless.
We’ve seen that inadequately regulated, too-big-to-fail banks can undermine the public interest rather than serve it — and in the last few years, banks got away with murder. It’s infuriating to see bankers who were rescued by taxpayers now moan about regulations intended to prevent the next bail-out. And it’s important that protesters spotlight rising inequality: does it feel right to anyone that the top 1 percent of Americans now possess a greater collective net worth than the entire bottom 90 percent?
So for those who want to channel their amorphous frustration into practical demands, here are several specific suggestions:
¶Impose a financial transactions tax. This would be a modest tax on financial trades, modeled on the suggestions of James Tobin, an American economist who won a Nobel Prize. The aim is in part to dampen speculative trading that creates dangerous volatility. Europe is moving toward a financial transactions tax, but the Obama administration is resisting — a reflection of its deference to Wall Street.
¶Close the “carried interest” and “founders’ stock” loopholes, which may be the most unconscionable tax breaks in America. They allow our wealthiest citizens to pay very low tax rates by pretending that their labor compensation is a capital gain.
¶Protect big banks from themselves. This means moving ahead with Basel III capital requirements and adopting the Volcker Rule to limit banks’ ability to engage in risky and speculative investments. Another sensible proposal, embraced by President Obama and a number of international experts, is the bank tax. This could be based on an institution’s size and leverage, so that bankers could pay for their cleanups — the finance equivalent of a pollution tax.
Much of the sloganeering at “Occupy Wall Street” is pretty silly — but so is the self-righteous sloganeering of Wall Street itself. And if a ragtag band of youthful protesters can help bring a dose of accountability and equity to our financial system, more power to them.

Time for the left to abandon Obama and stand with the masses. This is not a small group of people who are calling for revolution they are the heroes the nidus for a great revolution. They are not protesting but soon they will be organized and millions of people will follow them. The rich politicians who are standing with the elites and corporate America who has some Mafia from outside America and rich princes from Saudi will not control this great country. The great American military, police and firemen will not stand with the elites but with their people. The tea party is to stand to their people. The equation is simple there are so billion of dollars either we spend them in wars or on taking care of our future and our old people. Obama does not care he secured his family from his books he get out in the right time to make millions of dollars and is likely to have a memoir after he retire and make millions of dollars. Wake up America I am not the Anti-Christ but Obama and his elites. The revolution is coming to America, happy happy American we finally will govern ourselves.

It appears that the Egyptian military council is responding to his people and will have a civilian governement soon

بما يسمح للأحزاب والمستقلين بالترشح علي المقاعد الفردية.جاءت هذه القرارات خلال لقاء الفريق سامي عنان رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة نائب رئيس المجلس الأعلي في لقائه أمس مع عدد من رؤساء الأحزاب.وقرر المجلس دراسة وقف العمل بحالة الطوارئ إلا في بعض الجرائم, مع إصدار تشريع بحرمان بعض قيادات الحزب الوطني المنحل من مباشرة الحقوق السياسية, كما قرر عدم إحالة المدنيين إلي المحاكم العسكرية, إلا في الجرائم المنصوص عليها في قانون القضاء العسكري.وتم الاتفاق خلال اللقاء علي أن يتم عقد مجلس الشعب المنتخب في النصف الثاني من شهر يناير المقبل بعد إعلان نتيجة الانتخابات لممارسة مهامه, وأن يعقد مجلس الشوري يوم24 مارس المقبل, علي أن تتم الدعوة إلي عقد الاجتماع المشترك للمجلسين في الأسبوع الأخير من مارس, أو الأسبوع الأول من أبريل, ويجري خلاله اختيار أعضاء الجمعية التأسيسية المكلفة بإعداد مشروع الدستور الجديد للبلاد.وقد تقرر أيضا خلال اجتماع عنان والأحزاب السياسية أن يعلن عن بدء فتح باب الترشح لانتخاب رئيس الجمهورية في اليوم التالي لإعلان نتيجة الاستفتاء علي الدستور بالإيجاب, علي أن يجري انتخاب الرئيس خلال مدة لاتزيد علي45 إلي60 يوما.وفي نهاية اللقاء اتفق جميع رؤساء الأحزاب الحاضرين علي وضع وثيقة شرف للمبادئ الدستورية, وضوابط لاختيار الجمعية التأسيسية يوقع عليها رؤساء الأحزاب, والقوي السياسية كوثيقة يتعهد الجميع بالالتزام بما جاء فيها. وقد أعلن رؤساء الأحزاب تأييدهم الكامل للمجلس الأعلي للقوات المسلحة, وتقديرهم للدور, الذي يقوم به لحماية الثورة, والعمل علي انتقال السلطة للشعب.حضر اللقاء رؤساء أحزاب الوفد, والعدالة, والحرية, والجبهة والإصلاح, والتنمية, والمصري الديمقراطي الاجتماعي, ومصر الحديثة, والنور, والكرامة, والعدل, والمصريين الأحرار, والعربي للعدل والمساواة. بينما اعتذرت احزاب الوسط والناصري والتجمع عن عدم الحضور. كما شارك أعضاء المجلس العسكري اللواءات محمد سعيد العصار وممدوح شاهين ومختار الملا وإسماعيل عتمان. وأعلن المجلس الأعلي ترحيبه بجميع المنظمات المدنية المحلية والأجنبية ووسائل الإعلام لمشاهدة, ومتابعة الانتخابات طبقا لما تقرره اللجنة العليا للانتخابات, برئاسة قادة الجيوش والمناطق العسكرية ومديري أمن المحافظات. وأشار الفريق عنان إلي وضع خطة متكاملة لتأمين العملية الانتخابية أن اللجنة العليا للانتخابات ستصدر خلال أيام جميع القواعد المنظمة لها. وقد أشادت الأحزاب والقوي السياسية بنتائح الاجتماع الذي وصفته بالإيجابي, وأكد الدكتور مصطفي النجار أن المجلس العسكري وعد بدراسة إلغاء حالة الطوارئ نهائيا باستثناء حالات معينة مثل البلطجة, كما أشاد الدكتور عماد الدين عبدالغفور رئيس حزب النور السلفي بنتائج الاجتماع ووصفها بالمرضية, وستؤدي إلي الاستقرار في البلاد, ومن جانبه قال الدكتور محمد مرسي رئيس حزب الحرية والعدالة: إن اللقاء كان إيجابيا للغاية وبدت فيه روح التجاوب من المجلس العسكري, وأشار إلي أن المجلس كان حريصا طوال الوقت علي مناقشة مطالب القوي السياسية.

New York (CNN) -- The latest Occupy Wall Street protest Saturday featured the landmark Brooklyn Bridge, where police arrested more than 500 people for blocking the roadway.
Bridge traffic heading to Brooklyn from Manhattan was shut down for several hours, finally reopening at 8:05 p.m., police said. Manhattan-bound lanes were open during the incident.
Protesters banged drums and chanted, "The whole world is watching" as police moved in to make arrests for disorderly conduct and blocking traffic.
"Over 500 were arrested on the Brooklyn Bridge late this afternoon after multiple warnings by police were given to protesters to stay on the pedestrian walkway, and that if they took roadway they would be arrested," said Paul Browne, deputy commissioner for the New York Police Department. "Some complied and took the walkway without being arrested. Others proceeded on the Brooklyn-bound vehicular roadway and were arrested."
Saturday's incident came during a campaign against what protesters call social inequities resulting from the financial system.
Protesters held a rally at Zuccotti Park and then marched toward the Brooklyn Bridge.
U.S. Rep. Charles Rangel, D-New York, spoke to a large crowd of boisterous protesters, who shouted, "This is a peaceful march."
Over the past two weeks, demonstrations have addressed various issues, including police brutality, union busting and the economy, the group said.
Taking its inspiration from the Arab Spring protests that have swept through Africa and the Middle East, the group has taken up residence in the park in New York's financial district, calling for 20,000 people to flood the area for a "few months."
The protest campaign -- which uses the hashtag #occupywallstreet on the microblogging site Twitter -- began in July with the launch of a simple campaign website calling for a march and a sit-in at the New York Stock Exchange.

The current spendings of close to 400 billion dollars a year in defense and new jobs mostly in military make us a war machine and we switched the money that we supposed to funnel to our health care and long term security to army and wars.

The Shy Corporate Media and the wall street protesters

Do not believe there are only few hits in my blog I have thousands of hits daily but Obama and his elites are blocking me. Do a simple test from one country say USA have 500 hundreds people visit my website one day you will find the number is only few 20-40. Why they do not want you to know about me because I am for revolutions not wars and peaceful ones. The equation is simple the elites are few and the public are millions if not billions thus peaceful revolutions that are widespread will take them down.
Thus to control the massage is to block me from reaching to a lot of people. Why they can not block totally my website because they know I can spread my message to a lot of websites so there is no way to control me. In doing that I will not stop since I do not see the elites doing anything for us but the elites, Bush came and gone and Obama came and frustrated us more.
Like a lot of people went to occupy the wall street I have to work like them hoping to pay my bill despite being a doctor in America. I could had made millions of dollars if I had sold my Taman Health Plan to one of the two parties in America. But I am looking to change the world than make a friend with the elites.

Obama: A Disaster for Civil Liberties

With the 2012 presidential election before us, the country is again caught up in debating national security issues, our ongoing wars and the threat of terrorism. There is one related subject, however, that is rarely mentioned: civil liberties.President Obama failed to close Guantanamo Bay, continued warrantless surveillance and military tribunals and asserted the right to kill U.S. citizens he views as terrorists. Protecting individual rights and liberties — apart from the right to be tax-free — seems barely relevant to candidates or voters. One man is primarily responsible for the disappearance of civil liberties from the national debate, and he is Barack Obama. While many are reluctant to admit it, Obama has proved a disaster not just for specific civil liberties but the civil liberties cause in the United States.
Civil libertarians have long had a dysfunctional relationship with the Democratic Party, which treats them as a captive voting bloc with nowhere else to turn in elections. Not even this history, however, prepared civil libertarians for Obama. After the George W. Bush years, they were ready to fight to regain ground lost after Sept. 11. Historically, this country has tended to correct periods of heightened police powers with a pendulum swing back toward greater individual rights. Many were questioning the extreme measures taken by the Bush administration, especially after the disclosure of abuses and illegalities. Candidate Obama capitalized on this swing and portrayed himself as the champion of civil liberties.
However, President Obama not only retained the controversial Bush policies, he expanded on them. The earliest, and most startling, move came quickly. Soon after his election, various military and political figures reported that Obama reportedly promised Bush officials in private that no one would be investigated or prosecuted for torture. In his first year, Obama made good on that promise, announcing that no CIA employee would be prosecuted for torture. Later, his administration refused to prosecute any of the Bush officials responsible for ordering or justifying the program and embraced the "just following orders" defense for other officials, the very defense rejected by the United States at the Nuremberg trials after World War II.
Obama failed to close Guantanamo Bay as promised. He continued warrantless surveillance and military tribunals that denied defendants basic rights. He asserted the right to kill U.S. citizens he views as terrorists. His administration has fought to block dozens of public-interest lawsuits challenging privacy violations and presidential abuses.
But perhaps the biggest blow to civil liberties is what he has done to the movement itself. It has quieted to a whisper, muted by the power of Obama's personality and his symbolic importance as the first black president as well as the liberal who replaced Bush. Indeed, only a few days after he took office, the Nobel committee awarded him the Nobel Peace Prize without his having a single accomplishment to his credit beyond being elected. Many Democrats were, and remain, enraptured.
It's almost a classic case of the Stockholm syndrome, in which a hostage bonds with his captor despite the obvious threat to his existence. Even though many Democrats admit in private that they are shocked by Obama's position on civil liberties, they are incapable of opposing him. Some insist that they are simply motivated by realism: A Republican would be worse. However, realism alone cannot explain the utter absence of a push for an alternative Democratic candidate or organized opposition to Obama's policies on civil liberties in Congress during his term. It looks more like a cult of personality. Obama's policies have become secondary to his persona.
Ironically, had Obama been defeated in 2008, it is likely that an alliance for civil liberties might have coalesced and effectively fought the government's burgeoning police powers. A Gallup poll released this week shows 49% of Americans, a record since the poll began asking this question in 2003, believe that "the federal government poses an immediate threat to individuals' rights and freedoms." Yet the Obama administration long ago made a cynical calculation that it already had such voters in the bag and tacked to the right on this issue to show Obama was not "soft" on terror. He assumed that, yet again, civil libertarians might grumble and gripe but, come election day, they would not dare stay home.
This calculation may be wrong. Obama may have flown by the fail-safe line, especially when it comes to waterboarding. For many civil libertarians, it will be virtually impossible to vote for someone who has flagrantly ignored the Convention Against Torture or its underlying Nuremberg Principles. As Obama and Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder Jr. have admitted, waterboarding is clearly torture and has been long defined as such by both international and U.S. courts. It is not only a crime but a war crime. By blocking the investigation and prosecution of those responsible for torture, Obama violated international law and reinforced other countries in refusing investigation of their own alleged war crimes. The administration magnified the damage by blocking efforts of other countries like Spain from investigating our alleged war crimes. In this process, his administration shredded principles on the accountability of government officials and lawyers facilitating war crimes and further destroyed the credibility of the U.S. in objecting to civil liberties abuses abroad.
In time, the election of Barack Obama may stand as one of the single most devastating events in our history for civil liberties. Now the president has begun campaigning for a second term. He will again be selling himself more than his policies, but he is likely to find many civil libertarians who simply are not buying.

Obama is really a wicked guy. He stands with the strong, the elites and not the masses. He did most of the things opposite to what he told us in his campaign. There are big corporations that control the world and not the descent American Military, Police or Firemen. The big corporations are basically Americans or non-Americans rich guys like the Saudi princes and who determine what are the policies of the American politicians. The Americans are realizing that they are sold cheap to theses corporations.

أصيب ما لا يقل عن 15 متظاهرا واعتقل عشرة آخرون في اشتباكات قرب مقر المجلس الأعلى للقوات المسلحة في العاصمة المصرية القاهرة، بينما وجه الأخير دعوة إلى رؤساء الأحزاب والقوى السياسية إلى اجتماع طارئ اليوم السبت لمناقشة عملية نقل السلطة.
وقال شهود عيان إن مئات المتظاهرين الذين انطلقوا في مسيرة من ميدان التحرير وسط العاصمة وصلوا قرب مقر المجلس العسكري في كوبري القبة شمال القاهرة، وإن الشرطة العسكرية أغلقت الشوارع المؤدية إلى المقر لمنع المحتجين من الوصول إليه.
وذكروا أن المحتجين رشقوا قوات الشرطة العسكرية والشرطة المدنية بالحجارة وأن أشخاصا يرتدون الزي المدني ردوا على المحتجين بالحجارة أيضا.
وأشاروا إلى أن الاشتباكات دارت خارج محطة مترو الأنفاق القريبة من مقر المجلس الأعلى للقوات المسلحة.
وذكرت وكالة أنباء الشرق الأوسط أن مسيرة ثانية انطلقت نحو مقر المجلس العسكري من ضاحية مصر الجديدة حيث يوجد قصر الرئاسة.
وأضافت أن الشرطة العسكرية حالت دون وصول أي من المسيرتين إلى مقر المجلس العسكري.
وفي ميدان التحرير، أمضى بضع مئات من المتظاهرين ليلتهم في بداية اعتصام مفتوح اعقب انتهاء فعاليات تظاهرات مليونية استرداد الثورة التي شهدتها القاهرة ومعظم المحافظات المصرية أمس الجمعة.
وما زالت الخيام منصوبة حتى صباح اليوم السبت، وكذلك عدد من المنصات التي أُقيمت أمس لإلقاء الخطب وسط الميدان، فيما غابت العناصر الأمنية وعناصر القوات المسلحة المصرية تماما خشية وقوع صدامات بين الطرفين.
وقال أحد المعتصمين إن المشاركين لا ينتمون إلى تيار سياسي محدد، ولكنهم مجموعة من المواطنين لن يغادروا الميدان قبل أن يتم تحقيق بقية مطالب الثورة المصرية، أو صدور تعهد واضح من المجلس الأعلى للقوات المسلحة المصرية بتسليم السلطة لإدارة مدنية وفقا لجدول زمني محدد.
المحتجون يطالبون بتسليم السلطة لإدارة مدنية وفق جدول محدد (الفرنسية)اجتماع طارئ إلى ذلك، علم مراسل الجزيرة في القاهرة أن المجلس الأعلى للقوات المسلحة وجه دعوة إلى رؤساء الأحزاب والقوى السياسية إلى اجتماع طارئ اليوم السبت لمناقشة عملية نقل السلطة. وقالت مصادر مطلعة إن الاجتماع سيناقش التعديلات المطلوبة.
وكانت مجموعة من التيارات السياسية أعلنت عشية انطلاق تظاهرات جمعة استرداد الثورة أمس الجمعة، أنها تمهل المجلس العسكري حتى نهاية أيام جمعة الاسترداد في 6 أكتوبر/تشرين الأول الجاري لتنفيذ بقية مطالب ثورة 25 يناير/كانون الثاني قبل أن تبدأ اعتصاما مفتوحا في مختلف ميادين القاهرة والمحافظات المصرية.
وردد المتظاهرون هتافات وحملوا لافتات تنادي بإلغاء حالة الطوارئ التي قال المجلس العسكري قبل أيام إنها سترفع بحلول مايو/أيار القادم.
وطالب المحتجون بتعديل قانون الانتخابات البرلمانية المقبلة المقرر أن تجري على مراحل، ابتداء من أواخر نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني القادم.
وكانت الحكومة المصرية قد أقرت قبل أيام تعديلات على قانون الانتخابات التي ستجري وفق أحدث نسخة من القانون بنظام القائمة الحزبية المغلقة في ثلثي الدوائر، وبالنظام الفردي في الثلث. لكن جل الأحزاب السياسية أعلنت اعتراضها على النظام الفردي الذي ترى أنه يسمح بتسلل فلول الحزب الوطني الديمقراطي المنحل إلى البرلمان.
وطالب المتظاهرون في ميدان التحرير أيضا بتحديد جدول زمني لنقل السلطة من المجلس العسكري إلى سلطة مدنية، وبوقف المحاكمات العسكرية لمدنيين، وتطهير مؤسسات الدولة من أنصار نظام الرئيس المخلوع حسني مبارك.
وكانت أحزاب وقوى سياسية قد دعت إلى مظاهرة مليونية في ميدان التحرير بالقاهرة، لكن القوى الإسلامية الرئيسة ممثلة في جماعة الإخوان المسلمين والجماعة الإسلامية والدعوة السلفية قاطعتها.

Let us have a smooth and descent transition, if a military leader to try to talk over very likely people will be very angry. Let us be honest about it the Military coup was done only when the people stood in the revolution strong and were willing to die for their revolution. It was clear that the young officers and soldiers were standing with the people. Tantweey and his military colleague had choice to stand with the people or face military coups. They did the right thing and stood with the people. Of course they would be heroes if they would started the coup years ago when they saw all the corruptions and injustices. The fact is Tantweey was the guy of Mubarak for decades. Now the people are trying to make them heroes because we need heroes. People wants to pay them respect and see them transferee the power soon to their people. There are a lot of Egyptians overseas that will have demonstrations and will create havoc if the people who died and wounded in the revolution did that in vain.

وذكرت وكالة أنباء الشرق الأوسط أن مسيرة ثانية انطلقت نحو مقر المجلس العسكري من ضاحية مصر الجديدة حيث يوجد قصر الرئاسة.
وأضافت أن الشرطة العسكرية حالت دون وصول أي من المسيرتين إلى مقر المجلس العسكري.
وفي ميدان التحرير، أمضى بضع مئات من المتظاهرين ليلتهم في بداية اعتصام مفتوح اعقب انتهاء فعاليات تظاهرات مليونية استرداد الثورة التي شهدتها القاهرة ومعظم المحافظات المصرية أمس الجمعة.
وما زالت الخيام منصوبة حتى صباح اليوم السبت، وكذلك عدد من المنصات التي أُقيمت أمس لإلقاء الخطب وسط الميدان، فيما غابت العناصر الأمنية وعناصر القوات المسلحة المصرية تماما خشية وقوع صدامات بين الطرفين.
وقال أحد المعتصمين إن المشاركين لا ينتمون إلى تيار سياسي محدد، ولكنهم مجموعة من المواطنين لن يغادروا الميدان قبل أن يتم تحقيق بقية مطالب الثورة المصرية، أو صدور تعهد واضح من المجلس الأعلى للقوات المسلحة المصرية بتسليم السلطة لإدارة مدنية وفقا لجدول زمني محدد.
المحتجون يطالبون بتسليم السلطة لإدارة مدنية وفق جدول محدد (الفرنسية)اجتماع طارئ إلى ذلك، علم مراسل الجزيرة في القاهرة أن المجلس الأعلى للقوات المسلحة وجه دعوة إلى رؤساء الأحزاب والقوى السياسية إلى اجتماع طارئ اليوم السبت لمناقشة عملية نقل السلطة. وقالت مصادر مطلعة إن الاجتماع سيناقش التعديلات المطلوبة.
وكانت مجموعة من التيارات السياسية أعلنت عشية انطلاق تظاهرات جمعة استرداد الثورة أمس الجمعة، أنها تمهل المجلس العسكري حتى نهاية أيام جمعة الاسترداد في 6 أكتوبر/تشرين الأول الجاري لتنفيذ بقية مطالب ثورة 25 يناير/كانون الثاني قبل أن تبدأ اعتصاما مفتوحا في مختلف ميادين القاهرة والمحافظات المصرية.
وردد المتظاهرون هتافات وحملوا لافتات تنادي بإلغاء حالة الطوارئ التي قال المجلس العسكري قبل أيام إنها سترفع بحلول مايو/أيار القادم.
وطالب المحتجون بتعديل قانون الانتخابات البرلمانية المقبلة المقرر أن تجري على مراحل، ابتداء من أواخر نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني القادم.
وكانت الحكومة المصرية قد أقرت قبل أيام تعديلات على قانون الانتخابات التي ستجري وفق أحدث نسخة من القانون بنظام القائمة الحزبية المغلقة في ثلثي الدوائر، وبالنظام الفردي في الثلث. لكن جل الأحزاب السياسية أعلنت اعتراضها على النظام الفردي الذي ترى أنه يسمح بتسلل فلول الحزب الوطني الديمقراطي المنحل إلى البرلمان.
وطالب المتظاهرون في ميدان التحرير أيضا بتحديد جدول زمني لنقل السلطة من المجلس العسكري إلى سلطة مدنية، وبوقف المحاكمات العسكرية لمدنيين، وتطهير مؤسسات الدولة من أنصار نظام الرئيس المخلوع حسني مبارك.
وكانت أحزاب وقوى سياسية قد دعت إلى مظاهرة مليونية في ميدان التحرير بالقاهرة، لكن القوى الإسلامية الرئيسة ممثلة في جماعة الإخوان المسلمين والجماعة الإسلامية والدعوة السلفية قاطعتها.

Let us have a smooth and descent transition, if a military leader to try to talk over very likely people will be very angry. Let us be honest about it the Military coup was done only when the people stood in the revolution strong and were willing to die for their revolution. It was clear that the young officers and soldiers were standing with the people. Tantweey and his military colleague had choice to stand with the people or face military coups. They did the right thing and stood with the people. Of course they would be heroes if they would started the coup years ago when they saw all the corruptions and injustices. The fact is Tantweey was the guy of Mubarak for decades. Now the people are trying to make them heroes because we need heroes. People wants to pay them respect and see them transferee the power soon to their people. There are a lot of Egyptians overseas that will have demonstrations and will create havoc if the people who died and wounded in the revolution did that in vain.

The Limits of Empathy

We are surrounded by people trying to make the world a better place. Peace activists bring enemies together so they can get to know one another and feel each other’s pain. School leaders try to attract a diverse set of students so each can understand what it’s like to walk in the others’ shoes. Religious and community groups try to cultivate empathy.
As Steven Pinker writes in his mind-altering new book, “The Better Angels of Our Nature,” we are living in the middle of an “empathy craze.” There are shelfloads of books about it: “The Age of Empathy,” “The Empathy Gap,” “The Empathic Civilization,” “Teaching Empathy.” There’s even a brain theory that we have mirror neurons in our heads that enable us to feel what’s in other people’s heads and that these neurons lead to sympathetic care and moral action.
There’s a lot of truth to all this. We do have mirror neurons in our heads. People who are empathetic are more sensitive to the perspectives and sufferings of others. They are more likely to make compassionate moral judgments.
The problem comes when we try to turn feeling into action. Empathy makes you more aware of other people’s suffering, but it’s not clear it actually motivates you to take moral action or prevents you from taking immoral action.
In the early days of the Holocaust, Nazi prison guards sometimes wept as they mowed down Jewish women and children, but they still did it. Subjects in the famous Milgram experiments felt anguish as they appeared to administer electric shocks to other research subjects, but they pressed on because some guy in a lab coat told them to.
Empathy orients you toward moral action, but it doesn’t seem to help much when that action comes at a personal cost. You may feel a pang for the homeless guy on the other side of the street, but the odds are that you are not going to cross the street to give him a dollar.
There have been piles of studies investigating the link between empathy and moral action. Different scholars come to different conclusions, but, in a recent paper, Jesse Prinz, a philosopher at City University of New York, summarized the research this way: “These studies suggest that empathy is not a major player when it comes to moral motivation. Its contribution is negligible in children, modest in adults, and nonexistent when costs are significant.” Other scholars have called empathy a “fragile flower,” easily crushed by self-concern.
Some influences, which we think of as trivial, are much stronger — such as a temporary burst of positive emotion. In one experiment in the 1970s, researchers planted a dime in a phone booth. Eighty-seven percent of the people who found the dime offered to help a person who dropped some papers nearby, compared with only 4 percent who didn’t find a dime. Empathy doesn’t produce anything like this kind of effect.
Moreover, Prinz argues, empathy often leads people astray. It influences people to care more about cute victims than ugly victims. It leads to nepotism. It subverts justice; juries give lighter sentences to defendants that show sadness. It leads us to react to shocking incidents, like a hurricane, but not longstanding conditions, like global hunger or preventable diseases.
Nobody is against empathy. Nonetheless, it’s insufficient. These days empathy has become a shortcut. It has become a way to experience delicious moral emotions without confronting the weaknesses in our nature that prevent us from actually acting upon them. It has become a way to experience the illusion of moral progress without having to do the nasty work of making moral judgments. In a culture that is inarticulate about moral categories and touchy about giving offense, teaching empathy is a safe way for schools and other institutions to seem virtuous without risking controversy or hurting anybody’s feelings.
People who actually perform pro-social action don’t only feel for those who are suffering, they feel compelled to act by a sense of duty. Their lives are structured by sacred codes.
Think of anybody you admire. They probably have some talent for fellow-feeling, but it is overshadowed by their sense of obligation to some religious, military, social or philosophic code. They would feel a sense of shame or guilt if they didn’t live up to the code. The code tells them when they deserve public admiration or dishonor. The code helps them evaluate other people’s feelings, not just share them. The code tells them that an adulterer or a drug dealer may feel ecstatic, but the proper response is still contempt.
The code isn’t just a set of rules. It’s a source of identity. It’s pursued with joy. It arouses the strongest emotions and attachments. Empathy is a sideshow. If you want to make the world a better place, help people debate, understand, reform, revere and enact their codes. Accept that codes conflict.

Islam is the religion of empathy. The governing in Islam depends in empathy you know as government what the people lack in their communities roads, schools, hospitals and so. The government does the main things but through its empathy it know how to direct the free capitalism in achieving these projects. Omar Ben AL Katab Khalifa had the empathy to be sure that non-Muslims are dealt well he was caring much to be sure people are happy even in the worst times. As a governor you need a lot of talents but empathy will be the main emotion behind your successful achievements of governments it will make your other talents used in a right way. The people will feel that someone really care that he is not doing his work out of duty but something more deep in this person. He wanted really to see for us what he would have liked to see done to his family, he is empathetic. When we were young we would like to do something nice like walk a child or elderly across the street as we grow older some of us did not feel that anymore others like to do it in large scale to be empathetic governor or official that help to improve people lives. Less empathetic politicians are more practical capitalistic guys look for personal results in more profit or higher post.

كشفت مصادر خليجية عن اتصالات ومشاورات تجريها دول مجلس التعاون الخليجى حول إمكانية انضمام مصر إلى المجلس كعضو فاعل على غرار كل من الأردن والمغرب.
وأشارت المصادر - فى تصريح لصحيفة (الوطن) الكويتية إلى أن هناك دولا خليجية بعينها تتحمس لذلك إنطلاقا من قناعتها بأن مصر وبما تملكه من إمكانات وما يربطها من علاقات استراتيجية مع دول مجلس التعاون، وكذلك الارتباط التاريخى لأمنها مع أمن الخليج، قادرة على المساهمة إلى حد بعيد فى حفظ الأمن والاستقرار بالمنطقة.
وأوضحت أن المتحمسين لفكرة انضمام مصر للمجلس يرون أن مصر هى الأقرب للتعاون مع دول الخليجى فى ظل المصالح المشتركة بعد خطوة دعوة الأردن والمغرب، وتجربة مشاركة اليمن فى عدد من المؤسسات الخليجية..ويؤكدون أن الحاجة والظروف الحالية زادت من أهمية الدور المصرى فى المستوى العربى عموما، والخليجى بصورة خاصة بعد التغيير فى العراق والتدخل الإيرانى السافر فى شئونه، على حد قولها.

Now they want to hijack the Egyptian revolution by get us in their council so we protect them against Iran and to have the revolutions stop before it reach their borders. Just to let the people know the Saudi tyrants are even controlling America, read to the liberals in America how the Saudi would affect the American politics and how they hired some of their politicians and how they had very close interests with the Bush Dynasty. There is nothing to do with religion in this corrupted world but about people that are using religion to advance their profits and interests. Bush used war against evil to appease his close friend King Abd Allah and to go for the oil so he went to iraq. The Saudi corrupt family are the one who made Saddam and destroyed him. It is all about how to stay in power and protect the money they stole from the Saudi people. One of the jokes is the Saudi tyrant regime are applying cut of hand or on hand in people who steal few hundreds of Dollars while themselves stole Billions of dollars. Do you really want you to know that I am Al Mahdi Al Muntazer. Muslims should not be an agent of wars and should not fight wars to protect the Saudi and should not listen to rohatric of some leaders in the area. Muslims should attain their liberity self governing and prosperity. Every country should elect their own leaders and all in should have say in its future. 11 قتيلا بجمعة النصر في سوريا
من مظاهرات عقب صلاة الجمعة بدرعا أفادت الهيئة العامة للثورة السورية بأن 11 على الأقل قتلوا اليوم وجرح 40 برصاص الأمن السوري في "جمعة النصر لشامنا ويمننا"، وهي الجمعة التي عمت فيها المظاهرات أغلب المدن السورية ونادت بالحماية الدولية.
فقد خرجت مظاهرات حاشدة في درعا ودير الزور والقامشلي وعدد من أحياء دمشق وأدلب، ورفع المتظاهرون لافتات تطالب بحظر الطيران وهتفوا للرستن ومدن سوريا المحاصرة ونادوا بإسقاط النظام.
وخرجت مظاهرات بعد صلاة الجمعة في عدة أحياء من حمص منها حي الشماس وحي الإنشاءات وجب الجندلي وباب هود، وكلها تطالب بإسقاط النظام ورحيله وبحماية دولية.
وفي مظاهرة مشتركة بين سكان حيي المزة وكفر سوسة بدمشق طالب المتظاهرون بنصرة المدن السورية التي تتعرض للعنف من قبل النظام.
أغلب المدن السورية شهدت اليوم مظاهرات مطالبة برحيل النظام حصار المساجدوذكر ناشط لوكالة الأنباء الألمانية أن القوات السورية حاصرت المساجد في مدينة اللاذقية الساحلية لمنع المصلين من الخروج في مسيرات احتجاجية طلبا للحرية.
ونشرت على الإنترنت صور لمظاهرة في حلفايا بحماة هتف المتظاهرون فيها بإسقاط النظام.
وفي وقت سابق بث ناشطون سوريون على الإنترنت صورا، قالوا إنها لمظاهرة انطلقت صباح اليوم الجمعة في مدينة دوما بريف دمشق.
كما قال ناشطون إن الأمن السوري أطلق النار على المتظاهرين في معضمية الشام ونفذ حملة دهم واعتقالات، وأضافوا أن جرحى سقطوا في إطلاق نار على مظاهرة في معرة النعمان بإدلب.
وأكدت لجان التنسيق المحلية سقوط قتيل برصاص الأمن السوري وإطلاق نار كثيفا بكفر زيتا في حماة، كما قال المرصد السوري لحقوق الإنسان إن أكثر من ثلاثة قتلى وجرحى سقطوا في حي الحميدية بالمدينة نفسها.
وأضافت اللجان أن دبابات دخلت إلى مدينة القورية بدير الزور، وأن القناصة انتشروا على الأسطح، وأفاد المرصد السوري بإصابة 32 جنديا سوريا في اشتباكات مع منشقين في محيط تلبيسة.
وأفاد ناشطون بانطلاق مظاهرة تنادي بالحرية من أمام مسجد الجامع الكبير في عامودا بريف دمشق، وأخرى أمام مسجد قاسمو في القامشلي.
الجيش السوري استخدم دباباته وآلياته ضد المدنيينعملية الرستنوقال ناشطون إن طائرات حربية سورية أغارت على مدينة الرستن بمحافظة حمص فهدمت عدة منازل، وأضافوا أن سبعة أشخاص على الأقل قتلوا أمس بينهم طفل وفتاة أثناء عمليات للجيش في محافظتي حمص وإدلب، كما أصيب عدد آخر بينهم أطفال ونساء في قصف مدفعي على تلبيسة.
وتتعرض بلدة الرستن بمحافظة حمص شمال العاصمة دمشق إلى هجوم شامل من قوات الأمن السورية، بهدف استعادة السيطرة على المنطقة من جنود منشقين عن الجيش السوري.
وفي اتصال سابق مع الجزيرة، قال أحد الضباط المنشقين عن الجيش السوري ويدعى محمد تيسير يونسو، إن مدينة الرستن "تتعرض لحرب شاملة" تستخدم فيها المدفعية الثقيلة والطيران الحربي.
وأفاد المرصد السوري لحقوق الإنسان أن ضابطا برتبة عميد هو برهان حميش اغتيل الليلة أمام منزله بعد رفضه الخروج إلى منطقة الرستن عند توجيه أوامر له بذلك.
جنديان قالت الحكومة السورية إن "مسلحين" قتلوهما (رويترز)قتلى جنودفي المقابل ذكرت وكالة الأنباء السورية أن سبعة جنود قتلوا وجرح 32 من بينهم سبعة ضباط في عملية عسكرية ضد من وصفتهم بالإرهابيين في الرستن.
إلى ذلك عبرت لجنة التحقيق الدولية بشأن الانتهاكات المرتكبة في سوريا اليوم الجمعة عن رغبتها بالقيام بتحقيقاتها في سوريا، لكنها أقرت في الوقت نفسه بأنها لم تحصل بعد على ترخيص من السلطات السورية للقيام بذلك.
وصرح رئيس اللجنة البرازيلي باولو بينيرو في مؤتمر صحفي "نأمل بتعاون السلطات السورية، وبأن تسمح لنا بلقاء مختلف المسؤولين وزيارة أماكن عدة" من البلاد.
وكان مجلس حقوق الإنسان التابع للأمم المتحدة قد أعطى تفويضا للجنة التحقيق الدولية المستقلة بالتحقيق في انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان في سوريا خلال جلسة استثنائية في 23 أغسطس/آب الماضي.
يجدر بالذكر أن ناشطين في الثورتين السورية واليمنية اتفقوا على أن يجعلوا عنوان هذه الجمعة واحدا في كلا البلدين، مستلهمين هذا الاسم من دعاء النبي عليه السلام: (اللهم بارك لنا في شامنا، اللهم بارك لنا في يمننا)، في إشارة منهم إلى وحدة الطموح العربي بالتحرر، ومشروعية وعدالة قضاياهم التي ثاروا لأجلها.
وتشهد سوريا منذ منتصف مارس/آذار حركة احتجاجية غير مسبوقة ضد نظام الرئيس بشار الأسد، وقد أسفر التدخل الأمني ضد هذه الاحتجاجات عن أكثر من 2700 قتيل بحسب الأمم المتحدة.

بالنسبة لخبر العبوة الناسفة بدوما،ساحة البلدية خاضعة لاحتلال حقيقي منذشهورولم تجرؤ أي مظاهرة على الإقتراب منها ، لا بل تحولت البلدية إلى مقر إقامةلعناصر الأمن، ومن يمر من هناك يعلم استحالة قيام أحد غير عناصر الأمن برمي حتى ورقة محارم عدا عن زرع عبوة ناسفة، ثم كيف تصادف وجود كاميرا التلفزيون السوري مع عملية العثور على العبوة وتفكيكها؟؟ الحادثة رسالة واضحة من النظام بأنه سيقوم في المرحلة اللاحقة فعلاً بافتعال تفجيرات

يعني الشي اللي بيحرق قلب كل شخص سوري انو دخل الطيران الاسرائيلي بشار ما حرك طيارة و على اهل الرستن الشرفاء استيقظت الطيارات المصدية من اكثر 35 عام في الهنغارات فجاءة و راحت تقصف اهلنا و الدبابات بالمثل ... بس لانو انا (حلبي قح) اشعر بالخزي ..الى كل حلبي شريف هبوا الى الثورة و كفى تخاذل ..ان تصل متاخر خيرا من ان لاتصل .مصير سوريا واقف على صحوة ضميركم..كلنا سوريين ومن طائفة وحدة والوطن للكل ..صامتون مشان كم وعد وعدكم ياه بشار ..هي منع الاستيراد ومدري الله العليم البكرا اذا فشلت الثورة شوبدي يصير

It is clear that America disgust the Syrian regime not mainly because of being oppressive but close allay to the Iranian regime that is Anti-west and Anti-Israel. For us if their interests are like ours to bring down this regime let it be we have a common cause. Let us bring down the tyrant of Syria and their corrupt regime. To the Iranian people the seuclar Syrian tyrant has nothing to do with you he is not pro-you or anti-you but for a group of corrupted oppressive people. What in hell this has to do anything with the Iranian people and Islam.
