The Confidance of The Messanger

By: Maged Taman

The people who denied the Quran is the book of the creator went astray. They go in the same closed circuit: Muhammad was a liar then when you tell them OK so how he got all this confidence that a true God is talking to him. They will tell you may be he was crazy, then you tell them how about all this wisdom in the Quran and Hadith and his stable personality. They will go back say may be he is a liar. You can go on and on with them since they never can piece it well together.

Then they give up and find the two arguments crazy or liar are mutually exclusive then they tell you he was not a liar or crazy but Satan inspired him with the Quran. Then to make the last argument work they twist the verses of the Quran. When Muslims were fighting against oppression and persecution they take the verses and twist them to make Muslims are the aggressors. They make the God of Islam not the same God of the Bible but different God or actually Satan himself. They will go on and on.

The tyranny and imperialism that fill the world they would ignore and concentrate on the evil Islam. I have defended in other topics why the Quran is not inspired by Satan as well why the God of the Quran is the same God of the Bible. In this topic I am discussing why the Prophet was very confident that he got the message from God. Two main things we to observe here are the confidence of the author of the Quran God which would reflect on Muhammad to have faith and confidently relay his message to humans.

1- The Quran talk to the prophet with great confidence that God is the one who is talking to Muhammad:

“And thus, We have sent to you O Muhammad a revelation, and a mercy of Our Command. You knew not what the Book is, nor what is Faith? But We have made it (this Quran) a light wherewith We guide whosoever of Our slaves We will. And verily, you O Muhammad are indeed guiding (humankind) to the Straight Path.” (Quran 42:52)

3:108 (Picktall) These are revelations of Allah. We recite them unto thee in truth. Allah willeth no injustice to (His) creatures.

17:106 (Picktall) And (it is) a quran that We have divided, that thou mayest recite it unto mankind at intervals, and We have revealed it by (successive) revelation. -

27:6 (Picktall) Lo! as for thee (Muhammad), thou verily receivest the quran from the presence of One Wise, Aware.

2- The Quran talk with great confidence to the people of the Book:

3:70 (Picktall) O People of the Scripture! Why disbelieve ye in the revelations of Allah, when ye (yourselves) bear witness (to the truth) ? -

3:98 (Picktall) Say: O People of the Scripture! Why disbelieve ye in the revelations of Allah, when Allah (Himself) is Witness of what ye do?

(5:75) 5:75 (Picktall) The Messiah, son of Mary, was no other than a messenger, messengers (the like of whom) had passed away before him. And his mother was a saintly woman. And they both used to eat (earthly) food. See how we make the revelations clear for them, and see how they are turned away! -

3:199 (Picktall) And Lo! of the People of the Scripture there are some who believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto you and that which was revealed unto them, humbling themselves before Allah. They purchase not a trifling gain at the price of the revelations of Allah. Verily their reward is with their Lord, and Lo! Allah is swift to take account.

3- The Quran talk to Muhammad with great confidence that God destroyed many of the evil doers over the human history:

(8:54) 8:54 (Picktall) (Their way is) as the way of Pharoah's folk and those before them; they denied the revelations of their Lord, so We destroyed them in their sins. And We drowned the folk of Pharaoh. All were evil doers. -

10:13 (Picktall) We destroyed the generations before you when they did wrong; and their messengers (from Allah) came unto them with clear proofs (of His Sovereignty) but they would not believe. Thus do We reward the guilty folk: -

10:98 (Picktall) If only there had been a community (of all those that were destroyed of old) that believed and profited by its belief as did the folk of Jonah. When they believed We drew off from them the torment of disgrace in the life of the world and gave them comfort for a while. -

11:100 (Picktall) That is (something) of the tidings of the townships' (which were destroyed of old). We relate it unto thee (Muhammad). Some of them are standing and some (already) reaped. -

11:117 (Picktall) In truth thy Lord destroyed not the townships tyrannously while their folk were doing right. -

15:4 (Picktall) And We destroyed no township but there was a known decree for it. -

17:17 (Picktall) How many generations have we destroyed since Noah! And Allah sufficeth as knower and Beholder of the sins of His slaves. -

18:59 (Picktall) And (all) those townships! We destroyed them when they did wrong, and We appointed a fixed time for their destruction.

4- The Quran talk to Muhammad with great confidence that the hour is true:

30:12 (Picktall) And in the day when the hour riseth the worng doers will despair.

(22:55)22:55 (Picktall) And those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt thereof until the hour come upon them unawares, or there come unto them the doom of a disastrous day.

(34:3)34:3 (Picktall) Those who disbelieve say: The hour will never come unto us. Say : Nay, by my Lord, but it is coming unto you surely. (He is) the Knower of the Unseen. Not an atom's weight, or less than that or greater, escapeth Him in the heavens or in the earth, but it is in a clear Record, -

5- The prophet great faith in his God and living his life worshiping God:

73:20 Thy Lord doth know that thou standest forth (to prayer) nigh two-thirds of the night, or half the night, or a third of the night, and so doth a party of those with thee. But Allah doth appoint night and day in due measure He knoweth that ye are unable to keep count thereof. So He hath turned to you (in mercy); read ye, therefore, of the Qur'an as much as may be easy for you. He knoweth that there may be (some) among you in ill-health; others travelling through the land, seeking of Allah's bounty; yet others fighting in Allah's Cause, read ye, therefore, as much of the Qur'an as may be easy (for you); and establish regular Prayer and give regular Charity; and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan. And whatever good ye send forth for your souls ye shall find it in Allah's Presence,- yea, better and greater, in Reward and seek ye the Grace of Allah, for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

6- The fighting and dying defending the religion of God:

9:111 (Picktall) Lo! Allah hath bought from the believers their lives and their wealth because the Garden will be theirs: they shall fight in the way of Allah and shall slay and be slain. It is a promise which is binding on Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the quran. Who fulfilleth His covenant better than Allah? Rejoice then in your bargain that ye have made, for that is the supreme triumph.
Muslims mentioned that when the war would get very ugly they would fight around the prophet to seek his protection.

7- The confidant letters from Muhammad to the Kings of his time:

The wording of the Prophet’s letters was similar. The text of the letter sent to Heraclius was as follows:
“In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. This letter is from Muhammad the slave of Allah and his Apostle to Heraclius, the ruler of the Byzantines. Peace be upon him who follows the right path. Furthermore, I invite you to Islam and if you become a Muslim you will be safe, and Allah will double your reward, and if you reject this invitation of Islam you will be committing a sin by misguiding your subjects. And I recite to you Allah's statement:

“O People of the Scriptures! Come to a word common to you and us that we worship none but Allah and that we associate nothing in worship with Him, and that none of us shall take others as Lords beside Allah. Then if they turn away, say: Bear witness that we are Muslims (those who have surrendered to Allah). (Qur’an: Surah 3, Ayah 64).”

All the Prophet's letters were stamped with the words: “Muhammad Rasul-ullah" (Muhammad the Messenger of Allah). Three of the Prophet’s letters have been preserved.
