Question to Americans Neurologists and Psychiatrists: Who is Muhammad?

By: Maged Taman

If you watch the movie the Book of Eli you will notice at the end of the movie when this inspired person in the movie (Denzel Washington) went to the west people was waiting for him to find the book who would inspire them to live by and for establishing the excellent community. This book could be the bible, the Quran or both.

The one scene that I want you to watch is the one when Denzel Washington was retrieving the inspiration of God (the bible or the Quran or both) and had people recording what he is inspired with. He was sweating and in a state of meditation at that time. This remind a lot of Muslims of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) when he would get the inspiration of the Quran from God.

My question is to the neurologists and psychiatrists particularly in America: how do you explain to us this inspiration?. Say one person of us is sitting on chair beside us and all of sudden become diaphoretic and recite to us very wise and flawless statements that no other one could do in his most awake state of mind and with all available to us computers nowadays. Why so many people would continue to believe him without seeing him over the centuries. So strong they believed in him that they will use his inspiration as guidance in their life and their path to eternity.

So to be just they have to sit together and tell us what honestly they think. I am a physician myself we all have patients with neurological and psychiatric diseases. With our love and respect to our patients the prophet of Islam did not have any neurological or mental disease. In his awake state he was the most wise and respected of humans and in his inspiration state he brought the best of human wisdom in a book that Muslims believe is not human and could not be from humans.

Some will say no disease but the one was inspiring him was Satan. Same went with Jesus (PBUH) he was accused that his miracles were done by Satan and the holy spirit is an evil spirit.

You do not need to answer to me but to yourself since in the day of judgment you will be answering God about the Quran. I made my mind long time ago when I was trying to reconsider the Quran I red one of these two powerful verses:

34:5 (Picktall) But those who strive against Our revelations, challenging (Us), theirs will be a painful doom of wrath. -
34:38 (Picktall) And as for those who strive against Our revelations, challenging, they will be brought to the doom.

Thus you have the right to consider and reconsider if the Quran from God but to read it in order to defeat it you will be doomed to hell in the day of judgement.

The Quran is from God and listen to some of what God says about the Quran:

56:80 (Y. Ali) A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds.

16:102 (Y. Ali) Say, the Holy Spirit has brought the revelation from thy Lord in Truth, in order to strengthen those who believe, and as a Guide and Glad Tidings to Muslims. -

10:37 (Y. Ali) This Qur'an is not such as can be produced by other than Allah. on the contrary it is a confirmation of (revelations) that went before it, and a fuller explanation of the Book - wherein there is no doubt - from the Lord of the worlds.

42:52 (Y. Ali) And thus have We, by Our Command, sent inspiration to thee: thou knewest not (before) what was revelation, and what was Faith; but We have made the (Qur'an) a Light, wherewith We guide such of Our servants as We will; and verily thou dost guide (men) to the Straight Way,-

43:43 (Y. Ali) So hold thou fast to the revelation sent down to thee; verily thou art on a Straight Way.

57:16 (Y. Ali) Has not the Time arrived for the Believers that their hearts in all humility should engage in the remembrance of Allah and of the Truth which has been revealed (to them), and that they should not become like those to whom was given revelation aforetime, but long ages passed over them and their hearts grew hard? For many among them are rebellious transgressors.

61:8 (Y. Ali) Their intention is to extinguish Allah's Light (by blowing) with their mouths: But Allah will complete (the revelation of) His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it).

25:52 (Y. Ali) Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur'an).
