Americans must transcend ignorance on mosque near Ground Zero
The proposed Ground Zero mosque in New York (like a similar mosque opened recently in Roxbury, Mass.) has triggered a fierce controversy, with advocates and opponents engaged in a vigorous war of words. Some of that debate has taken place recently in the pages of the Washington Post's "On Faith" section.
In a thoughtful On Faith post, John Kiser weighed in in favor of the construction of the mosque and emphasized the need for better understanding of Islam. Several of the many negative reader-responses to his article mentioned the concept of "dhimmitude" as ostensible proof of Islam's inherent intolerance. Reflected in these responses is a common misconception about Islam's treatment of its religious minorities.
The term "dhimmitude" was coined in 1982 by the Maronite-Christian President of Lebanon, Bashir Gemayel, referring to the state of subordination to Muslims that Christian Lebanese would not tolerate. It was made famous in western discourse by Bat Ye'or, the pseudonym of an Egyptian Jewish emigre of the 1950s who writes about the status of Jews and Christians from the rise of Islam in the seventh century to modern times. She portrays a demeaning Islamic policy towards these non-Muslims, a policy aimed at humiliating and even persecuting them, and, by extension, a foundation of modern Muslim anti-Semitism.
As an historian of Jewish-Muslim relations, I feel that a clarification is necessary. The dhimma status conferred upon non-Muslims has its skeletal origins in the Qur'an and its characteristic elaboration in the so-called Pact of 'Umar, ascribed to the second Caliph after Muhammad's death, who ruled 634-644. The term "dhimma" actually means "protection," specifically the protection granted to non-Muslim People of the Book, mainly Jews and Christians. This included protection of property, freedom of religion, and the right of communal autonomy. This "policy" of Islam, in its classical, authentic form, reflects a certain kind of tolerance--but not the kind of tolerance we think of today. Protection didn't come without a price: payment of an annual head tax (usually limited to adult males) and maintenance of a "low profile," acknowledging the superiority of Islam.
In the Middle Ages, tolerance as we know it was not a virtue, not for Judaism, not for Christianity and not for Islam. Each saw itself as the recipient of a new, divine election, replacing its predecessors and charged with the responsibility of asserting its superiority, of keeping others in a lowly position, of proselytizing, even to the point of forcing others to convert. This hierarchical relationship determined interreligious relations throughout the Middle Ages. In the Islamic world, other monotheists occupied a low rank in this hierarchy, but it was a rank nonetheless. The dhimmis were never excluded from the social order of the Islamic polity, nor were they expelled from majority society, as they were in medieval Christendom. They were second-class subjects, to be sure, but they benefitted from the protection conferred by their dhimma status. Moreover, the strictures of the Pact of 'Umar were frequently ignored, by dhimmis and rulers alike.
During roughly the first half of Islamic history, from the seventh through the twelfth or thirteenth centuries, Muslims and dhimmis lived, not in an interfaith utopia, but in a live-and-let-live situation, each recognizing its assigned place in the hierarchical order of things. Within this hierarchy many different religions and ethnic groups lived side-by-side, occupying the same physical space, creating a pluralistic mosaic of cultures and religions. But tolerance, if by "tolerance" we mean the equality of all peoples, did not exist. Nor should we expect it to have existed. What is important is that, despite, or perhaps by virtue of the dhimma system, non-Muslims and Muslims interacted rather comfortably in day-to-day affairs, shared fully in economic life, and practiced medicine in the same hospitals. Episodes of persecution--and they periodically occurred--were almost always triggered when dhimmis were perceived to be violating the low rank to which they were assigned by Islamic law. Yet some dhimmis occupied important positions in Islamic government, with the tacit consent of Muslim rulers and in violation of the code of the dhimma. Finally, non-Muslim intellectuals studied, often in interdenominational settings, the same scientific, philosophical, and medical texts as did Muslims--Arabic translations of works originally written in Greek. They argued about religion and philosophy in sessions that were governed by rules of gentlemanly conduct. These were intellectual exchanges, not polemical "trials" in which the minority was guaranteed to lose out to the majority. The deep immersion of non-Muslims in Arabic-Islamic culture is the basis of the "Golden Age" conception of harmony. There was harmony, though it had its limits.
Applying contemporary standards of tolerance to medieval Muslim history and policy does a disservice to the prospects of reconciliation in our times. The assumption by some that an inherent medieval Islamic intolerance prevailed and that it underlies present-day Muslim terrorism is a distortion of reality. On the other side, the self-ascribed mission of the small minority of "card-carrying" Islamist fundamentalists to revive the pristine Islam of the Qur'an is itself a distortion that conveniently overlooks the pluralism of medieval Islam and the promise of freedom of religion embedded in the Qur'an and in other foundational Islamic texts. Until non-Muslims begin to understand Islam in all its facets, we will be destined to live in ignorance of the "real" Islam and to act out of fear. The presence of Muslims in our midst, and of mosques like the one planned near Ground Zero, which will be an educational center as well as a place of prayer, is one good way of transcending this ignorance.

Islamic government is no doubt a theology. God asked us to implement the Quran and his laws on Muslims with the grace of Jesus as we say. No doubt non-Muslims can be involved in the Islamic government and be part of the system. Non-Muslims are not second class if any Muslim would do harm to Non-Muslim or be unjust to him he will be punished accordingly. Khalifa Omar when found out that a non-Muslim Egyptian was hit be the son of Omer Ben Alas one of the best military leaders of Muslims he brought him in front of the people and asked the non-Muslim to beat him publicly. He made it clear that justice extend and equally to every one. There is no tyranny or injustice in Islam. Muslim Khalifa unlike the Arab tyrants is responsive to God. The west would not like you to know that since they would try to stop Muslims from implementing the Quran or have a Khalifa. How about if the Muslim are right and the Quran from God what is the fate of those who are standing against God and me will be in the day of judgement.

Fear Paralyzes U.S. Muslim 'Leaders'

"...the "war on terror", and the search for nonexistent weapons of mass destruction, have brought the U.S. economy to the brink of collapse, and has caused a massive shift of wealth from poor and middle-class Americans to the wealthiest few."
Following the events of September 11, 2001, Muslims in the U.S. had reason to fear the U.S. government. Nine years on, the failure of Muslim leaders to make a concerted, united effort to expose the false account of 9/11 put forth by the U.S. government is inexcusable.
Earlier this year, the Guardian (UK) reported:
"
in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 the US government undertook the "preventative detention" of about 5,000 men on the basis of their birthplace and later sought a further 19,000 "voluntary interviews". Over the next year, more than 170,000 men from 24 predominantly Muslim countries and North Korea were fingerprinted and interviewed in a programme of "special registration". None of these produced a single terrorism conviction."
Muslims were hauled away by the government to places unknown. They were not informed of the charges against them, had no idea when they would be released, and were not given access to lawyers. Several Muslim charities were raided, their offices shut down, and officers imprisoned.
The Orwellian named Patriot Act had destroyed habeas corpus. U.S. District Judge John Gleeson had "ruled that it is constitutionally permissible to round up foreign nationals on immigration charges based solely on their race, religion or country of origin. What's more, he said they can be detained indefinitely, even after they have agreed to be removed to their home countries" wrote David Cole, law professor at Georgetown University.
While the George W. Bush administration was rounding up Muslims, and launching attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq, Jews and Christians spoke out against associating Islam with 9/11.
Since then, while evidence against the official account of 9/11 has grown, so have attacks on Muslims and Islam.
Anti-Muslim bigots and political opportunists have rallied around opposition to the Islamic Center planned near Ground Zero -- the site of the World Trade Center attacks.
Former Republican candidate for vice president Sarah Palin, candidates for 2010 elections, right-wing news media, and the Anti-defamation League (ADL) have jumped on the bandwagon.
Mosques are being vandalized, and the construction of new mosques opposed.
So why aren't Muslim "leaders" using their trump card -- the false account of 9/11, to fight back?
If Muslim "leaders" were to fight back by denouncing the official account of 9/11 as patently false, they would find many Americans supporting their effort.
The number of Americans who do not believe the official account of 9/11 is increasing
Nine years on, there's overwhelming evidence that the official account of 9/11 is false, and a significant number of Americans do not believe "The 9/11 Commission Report".
These include 220 senior military, intelligence, law enforcement, and government personnel; 1200 architects and engineers; 250 pilots and aviation personnel; 400 professors; 300 survivors of 9/11; firefighters, and their numbers keep increasing.
"A poll taken by World Public Opinion, a collaborative project of research centers in various countries managed by the Program on International Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland, College Park, polled 16,063 people in 17 nations outside of the United States during the summer of 2008. They found that majorities in only 9 of the 17 countries believe Al Qaeda carried out the attacks."
In November 2007 Scripps Howard survey found that 32% believed it was "very likely", and 30% believed that it was "somewhat likely" that "some people in the federal government had specific warnings of the 9/11 attacks in New York and Washington, but chose to ignore those warnings."
On August 30, 2004, Zogby International, an independent U.S. polling company, reported half (49.3%) of New York City residents and 41% of New York citizens overall say that some of our leaders "knew in advance that attacks were planned on or around September 11, 2001, and that they consciously failed to act," according to the poll conducted by Zogby International.
On May 24, 2006, Zogby reported that 42% believe "believe the government and 9/11 Commission are covering up", and 44% "believe President Bush exploited the 9/11 attacks (44%) or justified an attack on Iraq (44%). 43% were "not aware of World Trade Center Building 7's collapse", and 45% believe the "government should reinvestigate the attacks".
There are dozens of books exposing the false account of 9/11 -- books by Professor of Philosophy of Religion and Theology, David Ray Griffin, are highly recommended to those who have the patience to digest the wealth of information he makes available.

Paralyzed by fear, Muslim 'leaders' silent on 9/11
Despite the widespread skepticism voiced by non-Muslims, Muslim "leaders" remain silent about 9/11. They refuse even to examine the facts about 9/11, and silence discussion of those facts by members of their organization.
Their silence implies agreement with the official account of 9/11 -- now thoroughly debunked by engineers, architects, pilots, and others.
These silent Muslim "leaders" include officials of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) -- the organizations most often cited by establishment news media.
As far as we know, no Muslim "leader" who came with the Obama administration, or who has been funded by the Obama administration, or whose articles appear in establishment newspapers such as the Washington Post, has criticized the official account of 9/11.
Interfaith organizations in which Muslims participate have remained silent -- the truth about 9/11 would drastically change the tone and substance of their dialogue.
There are, however, exceptions. Kevin Barrett's radio shows host outspoken critics of the official account of 9/11. Several African-American, Muslim leaders have criticized the official account.
In stark contrast with U.S. Muslim "leaders", Muslims in South Africa invited me on a 3-week, 9/11 lecture tour where they arranged radio interviews, a television interview broadcast to 20 plus countries, and for me to speak to audiences of hundreds daily in 11 cities in South Africa, and in two cities in Malawi.
A similar effort by U.S. Muslim organizations in support of the "9/11 truth" movement may have quashed, or at least diminished, the anti-Islam hysteria prevalent today.
Ground Zero Islamic Center controversy -- a unique opportunity lost
The controversy over the $100 million Islamic Center being developed by the Cordoba Initiative and the American Society for Muslim Advancement near "Ground Zero" in New York -- now called Park51 -- is a unique opportunity for Muslims to speak out on 9/11.
However, despite the repeated use of 9/11 by opponents of the Islamic Center, proponents of the Islamic Center have failed to point that there's hard evidence to refute the official account -- 19 Arab hijackers led by Osama bin Laden did not carry out the attacks of 9/11.
The evidence against Bin Laden and al-Qaeda promised by then Secretary of State Colin Powell on NBC's Meet the Press, September 23, 2001, has yet to be made available to the public. The Osama bin Laden poster at the FBI website, does not claim that bin Laden was responsible for 9/11.
The Cordoba Initiative (founded 2004) last filed an IRS Form 990 in 2008 showing revenues $0, expenses $2767, and net assets of $18,255. The American Society for Muslim Advancement (founded 1998) has apparently never filed an IRS Form 990.
Officials of the Cordoba Initiative and the American Society for Muslim Advancement will need millions in donations to build the center. Their position on 9/11 will most likely reflect the position of their donors.
ADAMS Center officials say they 'cannot legally provide a platform' for discussion of 9/11
The Washington DC area is home to the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS); its influence extends well outside the area.
A recent exchange of emails with officials at ADAMS is an example of the pervasive fear among Muslim "leaders" to speak out, or even be seen to provide a platform for others who speak out against the official account of 9/11.
Excerpts from the first email exchange:
"
EM: But isn't it also our duty to stand for truth and justice even when it may involve some personal risk? Unfortunately, when it comes to the biggest issue of our time (9/11), it appears that Muslim "leaders" are unwilling to speak out. They are unwilling to even discuss the facts with fellow Muslims.
ADAMS: ...the time and place to discuss 9/11 is through political dialogues like these. While Virginia Delegates have little impact on U.S. national policy, they are responsible for legislation and regulation in Virginia that can and will affect our community... If you see our duty as being involved in these issues, why are you not signing up to attend this event?"
Excerpts from the second email exchange:
"
EM: I've been trying to get ADAMS to discuss 9/11 for quite some time, and keep hitting a brick wall. I believe that the official account of 9/11 is false. I've been told that ADAMS does not permit political discussion, and I have stopped using the ADAMS list to try to express my views on the subject.
ADAMS: Thank you for clarifying what you meant... As a 501(c)(3) organization, ADAMS can organize or implement only those kind of political discussions that are non-partisan,...programs that are patently partisan would violate our legal status. Your message makes clear your strong partisan views about 9/11. It is your right to hold and promote such views. But all religious organizations are legally obliged to remain non-partisan, and to mount political outreach events only for the education of our community.... ADAMS therefore cannot legally provide a platform to promote personal and politicized views."
Excerpts from the third email exchange:
"
EM: I believe ADAMS misunderstands the role of 501(c)(3) corporations. Non-partisan means not supporting a particular candidate. A 501(c)(3) corporation may hold and expound views on any issue. The Wisdom Fund is a 501(c)(3) corporation, established in 1995, . . . as examples of public expression: (1) our quarter page advertisement in the Obama inaugural issue of the Washington Times -- (bottom right), enlarged; (2) letter to the president, attorney general, etc. How can ADAMS claim to lead, and not take a position on the biggest issue of this decade -- 9/11?
ADAMS: I have tried to rationally explain our position; it is clear you are not open to any position but your own. I have greeted you as a brother but your responses make clear you do not reciprocate that approach. I pray that Allah (SWT) will bless and guide you to the right path, and grant you Wisdom. Please do not respond to this e-mail. I will delete any further messages from you unread."
To summarize, ADAMS invited me to attend their dialogue with "Virginia Delegates" scheduled for July 28, then they claimed that they could not "legally provide a platform" for my views on 9/11. When I informed them that a 501(c)(3) corporation may legally voice its views -- it may not support a candidate for office, ADAMS terminated the discussion.
ADAMS is not alone in shying away from 9/11.
Mosques across America have similar policies. Several invitations that I received to talk on 9/11 were cancelled after they were issued and accepted -- including two attended by high-ranking officials and imams from majority Muslim countries.
America's foreign policy establishment created the Islamic threat to advance its interests
On August 27, 1992, Leon T. Hadar, a former bureau chief for the Jerusalem Post, and an adjunct scholar of the Cato Institute, wrote in "The 'Green Peril': Creating the Islamic Fundamentalist Threat":

Now that the Cold War is becoming a memory, America's foreign policy establishment has begun searching for new enemies.... Topping the list of potential new global bogeymen, however, are the Yellow Peril, the alleged threat to American economic security emanating from East Asia, and the so-called Green Peril (green is the color of Islam)....
George Will even suggested that the 1,000-year battle between Christendom and Islam might be breaking out...
Indeed, "a new specter is haunting America, one that some Americans consider more sinister than Marxism-Leninism," according to Douglas E. Streusand....
"Islamic fundamentalism is an aggressive revolutionary movement as militant and violent as the Bolshevik, Fascist, and Nazi movements of the past," according to Amos Perlmutter."
In 1997, former National Security Advisor to President Carter, Zbigniew Brzezinski, wrote in "The Grand Chessboard":
"
A power that dominates Eurasia [the territory east of Germany and Poland, stretching all the way through Russia and China to the Pacific Ocean -- including the Middle East and most of the Indian subcontinent] would control two of the world's three most advanced and economically productive regions. A mere glance at the map also suggests that control over Eurasia would almost automatically entail Africa's subordination, rendering the Western Hemisphere and Oceania geopolitically peripheral to the world's central continent. About 75 per cent of the world's people live in Eurasia, and most of the world's physical wealth is there as well, both in its enterprises and underneath its soil. Eurasia accounts for 60 per cent of the world's GNP and about three-fourths of the world's known energy resources."
The key to controlling Eurasia, said Brzezinski, is controlling the Central Asian Republics.
In the September 2000 report, Rebuilding America's Defenses, the neocon funded Project for the New American Century (PNAC) stated:
"
America's global leadership, and its role as the guarantor of the current great-power peace, relies upon the safety of the American homeland; the preservation of a favorable balance of power in Europe, the Middle East and surrounding energy producing region, and East Asia...
A transformation strategy that solely pursued capabilities for projecting force from the United States, for example, and sacrificed forward basing and presence, would be at odds with larger American policy goals and would trouble American allies.
Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event -- like a new Pearl Harbor."
9/11, many now believe, was the new Pearl Harbor, the pretext for the U.S. "war on terror", a cover for advancing perceived American interests.
In fact the "war on terror", and the search for nonexistent weapons of mass destruction, have brought the U.S. economy to the brink of collapse, and has caused a massive shift of wealth from poor and middle-class Americans to the wealthiest few.
The silence of Muslim 'leaders' is inexcusable, risks driving some to violence
The 9/11 Commission investigation (November 27, 2002 -- August 21, 2004) was flawed from the outset. It was set up despite strong resistance from the White House.
By March 2003, with the commission's staff barely in place, two men (Philip Zelikow, Executive Director, The 9/11 Commission, and Ernest R. May, a Harvard historian) had prepared a detailed outline, complete with "chapter headings, subheadings, and sub-subheadings" of the final report according to New York Times reporter Philip Shenon.
Zelikow served on the National Security Council under George H. W. Bush, on the George W. Bush transition team, and President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board. He coauthored a book with President Bush's National Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice.
Zelikow controlled the 9/11 Commission's access to witnesses. Testimony that did not support the official account was excluded from "The 9/11 Commission Report".
For American Muslims, whose faith commands them to strive for social justice -- "the first pillar of Islam", and to "seek knowledge even unto China", blind acceptance of the official account of 9/11 is deplorable.
For Muslim "leaders", blind acceptance of the official account of 9/11, and their failure to denounce it, is inexcusable.
The renowned Indian, poet-philosopher Allama Iqbal (1877-1938), in his famous Shikwa & Jawab-i-Shikwa (Man's Complaint and God's Answer), wrote (translated from Urdu by Indian journalist-author Khushwant Singh):

Excluding opposing views risks driving some to express themselves in a more violent manner.

Muslims have to learn to stand one hand and stand for their religions and their people Muslims and non-Muslims. They have a lot of people on the left and even on the new right who would stand with them if they to play it smart. There are a lot of evidences that 9/11 is an internal job. It is possible that Jihadists want to take the credit given the attack of the lawless George Bush against them. The left already knew him well and the right are discovering him. As he made me live in fear in his dark age for 4 years its time to expose him to the world. Obama was our compensation but he play the game well the ruthless is replaced by the soft killer. Both are killing Muslims and both are going for the interest of the empire.
Muslims have to stand one hand and deny adamantly that 9/11 is made by Muslims like many in the right and left doing now. Expose that the war on terror is not against radical Islam but for the rich and corrupt that are controlling the world. Satan is controlling the world now through a lot of politicians.
Muslims should not fear anymore since they already paid after 9/11 for the internal plan that is created to control the Middle East and the oil. What is common between Bush and Saudi: dynasties, money and oil.
Just let you know a lot of Jews in the left exposed the Bush saga. He is not alone he is like a lot of dynasties that control the world.
I recomend for you a movie to watch V for Vandata. It is about a corrupt poilitcal system in the future Britain but it can be in any place in the world. It teach you how people when stood as one hand they were able to liberate themselves and borke the shakles of fear. John Kenndy said it if we would not allow for peaceful revolution, a violent revolution is invitable.

In November 2007 Scripps Howard survey found that 32% believed it was "very likely", and 30% believed that it was "somewhat likely" that "some people in the federal government had specific warnings of the 9/11 attacks in New York and Washington, but chose to ignore those warnings."
On August 30, 2004, Zogby International, an independent U.S. polling company, reported half (49.3%) of New York City residents and 41% of New York citizens overall say that some of our leaders "knew in advance that attacks were planned on or around September 11, 2001, and that they consciously failed to act," according to the poll conducted by Zogby International.
On May 24, 2006, Zogby reported that 42% believe "believe the government and 9/11 Commission are covering up", and 44% "believe President Bush exploited the 9/11 attacks (44%) or justified an attack on Iraq (44%). 43% were "not aware of World Trade Center Building 7's collapse", and 45% believe the "government should reinvestigate the attacks".
There are dozens of books exposing the false account of 9/11 -- books by Professor of Philosophy of Religion and Theology, David Ray Griffin, are highly recommended to those who have the patience to digest the wealth of information he makes available.

Paralyzed by fear, Muslim 'leaders' silent on 9/11
Despite the widespread skepticism voiced by non-Muslims, Muslim "leaders" remain silent about 9/11. They refuse even to examine the facts about 9/11, and silence discussion of those facts by members of their organization.
Their silence implies agreement with the official account of 9/11 -- now thoroughly debunked by engineers, architects, pilots, and others.
These silent Muslim "leaders" include officials of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) -- the organizations most often cited by establishment news media.
As far as we know, no Muslim "leader" who came with the Obama administration, or who has been funded by the Obama administration, or whose articles appear in establishment newspapers such as the Washington Post, has criticized the official account of 9/11.
Interfaith organizations in which Muslims participate have remained silent -- the truth about 9/11 would drastically change the tone and substance of their dialogue.
There are, however, exceptions. Kevin Barrett's radio shows host outspoken critics of the official account of 9/11. Several African-American, Muslim leaders have criticized the official account.
In stark contrast with U.S. Muslim "leaders", Muslims in South Africa invited me on a 3-week, 9/11 lecture tour where they arranged radio interviews, a television interview broadcast to 20 plus countries, and for me to speak to audiences of hundreds daily in 11 cities in South Africa, and in two cities in Malawi.
A similar effort by U.S. Muslim organizations in support of the "9/11 truth" movement may have quashed, or at least diminished, the anti-Islam hysteria prevalent today.
Ground Zero Islamic Center controversy -- a unique opportunity lost
The controversy over the $100 million Islamic Center being developed by the Cordoba Initiative and the American Society for Muslim Advancement near "Ground Zero" in New York -- now called Park51 -- is a unique opportunity for Muslims to speak out on 9/11.
However, despite the repeated use of 9/11 by opponents of the Islamic Center, proponents of the Islamic Center have failed to point that there's hard evidence to refute the official account -- 19 Arab hijackers led by Osama bin Laden did not carry out the attacks of 9/11.
The evidence against Bin Laden and al-Qaeda promised by then Secretary of State Colin Powell on NBC's Meet the Press, September 23, 2001, has yet to be made available to the public. The Osama bin Laden poster at the FBI website, does not claim that bin Laden was responsible for 9/11.
The Cordoba Initiative (founded 2004) last filed an IRS Form 990 in 2008 showing revenues $0, expenses $2767, and net assets of $18,255. The American Society for Muslim Advancement (founded 1998) has apparently never filed an IRS Form 990.
Officials of the Cordoba Initiative and the American Society for Muslim Advancement will need millions in donations to build the center. Their position on 9/11 will most likely reflect the position of their donors.
ADAMS Center officials say they 'cannot legally provide a platform' for discussion of 9/11
The Washington DC area is home to the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS); its influence extends well outside the area.
A recent exchange of emails with officials at ADAMS is an example of the pervasive fear among Muslim "leaders" to speak out, or even be seen to provide a platform for others who speak out against the official account of 9/11.
Excerpts from the first email exchange:
"
EM: But isn't it also our duty to stand for truth and justice even when it may involve some personal risk? Unfortunately, when it comes to the biggest issue of our time (9/11), it appears that Muslim "leaders" are unwilling to speak out. They are unwilling to even discuss the facts with fellow Muslims.
ADAMS: ...the time and place to discuss 9/11 is through political dialogues like these. While Virginia Delegates have little impact on U.S. national policy, they are responsible for legislation and regulation in Virginia that can and will affect our community... If you see our duty as being involved in these issues, why are you not signing up to attend this event?"
Excerpts from the second email exchange:
"
EM: I've been trying to get ADAMS to discuss 9/11 for quite some time, and keep hitting a brick wall. I believe that the official account of 9/11 is false. I've been told that ADAMS does not permit political discussion, and I have stopped using the ADAMS list to try to express my views on the subject.
ADAMS: Thank you for clarifying what you meant... As a 501(c)(3) organization, ADAMS can organize or implement only those kind of political discussions that are non-partisan,...programs that are patently partisan would violate our legal status. Your message makes clear your strong partisan views about 9/11. It is your right to hold and promote such views. But all religious organizations are legally obliged to remain non-partisan, and to mount political outreach events only for the education of our community.... ADAMS therefore cannot legally provide a platform to promote personal and politicized views."
Excerpts from the third email exchange:
"
EM: I believe ADAMS misunderstands the role of 501(c)(3) corporations. Non-partisan means not supporting a particular candidate. A 501(c)(3) corporation may hold and expound views on any issue. The Wisdom Fund is a 501(c)(3) corporation, established in 1995, . . . as examples of public expression: (1) our quarter page advertisement in the Obama inaugural issue of the Washington Times -- (bottom right), enlarged; (2) letter to the president, attorney general, etc. How can ADAMS claim to lead, and not take a position on the biggest issue of this decade -- 9/11?
ADAMS: I have tried to rationally explain our position; it is clear you are not open to any position but your own. I have greeted you as a brother but your responses make clear you do not reciprocate that approach. I pray that Allah (SWT) will bless and guide you to the right path, and grant you Wisdom. Please do not respond to this e-mail. I will delete any further messages from you unread."
To summarize, ADAMS invited me to attend their dialogue with "Virginia Delegates" scheduled for July 28, then they claimed that they could not "legally provide a platform" for my views on 9/11. When I informed them that a 501(c)(3) corporation may legally voice its views -- it may not support a candidate for office, ADAMS terminated the discussion.
ADAMS is not alone in shying away from 9/11.
Mosques across America have similar policies. Several invitations that I received to talk on 9/11 were cancelled after they were issued and accepted -- including two attended by high-ranking officials and imams from majority Muslim countries.
America's foreign policy establishment created the Islamic threat to advance its interests
On August 27, 1992, Leon T. Hadar, a former bureau chief for the Jerusalem Post, and an adjunct scholar of the Cato Institute, wrote in "The 'Green Peril': Creating the Islamic Fundamentalist Threat":
"
Now that the Cold War is becoming a memory, America's foreign policy establishment has begun searching for new enemies.... Topping the list of potential new global bogeymen, however, are the Yellow Peril, the alleged threat to American economic security emanating from East Asia, and the so-called Green Peril (green is the color of Islam)....
George Will even suggested that the 1,000-year battle between Christendom and Islam might be breaking out...
Indeed, "a new specter is haunting America, one that some Americans consider more sinister than Marxism-Leninism," according to Douglas E. Streusand....
"Islamic fundamentalism is an aggressive revolutionary movement as militant and violent as the Bolshevik, Fascist, and Nazi movements of the past," according to Amos Perlmutter."
In 1997, former National Security Advisor to President Carter, Zbigniew Brzezinski, wrote in "The Grand Chessboard":
"
A power that dominates Eurasia [the territory east of Germany and Poland, stretching all the way through Russia and China to the Pacific Ocean -- including the Middle East and most of the Indian subcontinent] would control two of the world's three most advanced and economically productive regions. A mere glance at the map also suggests that control over Eurasia would almost automatically entail Africa's subordination, rendering the Western Hemisphere and Oceania geopolitically peripheral to the world's central continent. About 75 per cent of the world's people live in Eurasia, and most of the world's physical wealth is there as well, both in its enterprises and underneath its soil. Eurasia accounts for 60 per cent of the world's GNP and about three-fourths of the world's known energy resources."
The key to controlling Eurasia, said Brzezinski, is controlling the Central Asian Republics.
In the September 2000 report, Rebuilding America's Defenses, the neocon funded Project for the New American Century (PNAC) stated:
"
America's global leadership, and its role as the guarantor of the current great-power peace, relies upon the safety of the American homeland; the preservation of a favorable balance of power in Europe, the Middle East and surrounding energy producing region, and East Asia...
A transformation strategy that solely pursued capabilities for projecting force from the United States, for example, and sacrificed forward basing and presence, would be at odds with larger American policy goals and would trouble American allies.
Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event -- like a new Pearl Harbor."
9/11, many now believe, was the new Pearl Harbor, the pretext for the U.S. "war on terror", a cover for advancing perceived American interests.
In fact the "war on terror", and the search for nonexistent weapons of mass destruction, have brought the U.S. economy to the brink of collapse, and has caused a massive shift of wealth from poor and middle-class Americans to the wealthiest few.
The silence of Muslim 'leaders' is inexcusable, risks driving some to violence
The 9/11 Commission investigation (November 27, 2002 -- August 21, 2004) was flawed from the outset. It was set up despite strong resistance from the White House.
By March 2003, with the commission's staff barely in place, two men (Philip Zelikow, Executive Director, The 9/11 Commission, and Ernest R. May, a Harvard historian) had prepared a detailed outline, complete with "chapter headings, subheadings, and sub-subheadings" of the final report according to New York Times reporter Philip Shenon.
Zelikow served on the National Security Council under George H. W. Bush, on the George W. Bush transition team, and President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board. He coauthored a book with President Bush's National Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice.
Zelikow controlled the 9/11 Commission's access to witnesses. Testimony that did not support the official account was excluded from "The 9/11 Commission Report".
For American Muslims, whose faith commands them to strive for social justice -- "the first pillar of Islam", and to "seek knowledge even unto China", blind acceptance of the official account of 9/11 is deplorable.
For Muslim "leaders", blind acceptance of the official account of 9/11, and their failure to denounce it, is inexcusable.
The renowned Indian, poet-philosopher Allama Iqbal (1877-1938), in his famous Shikwa & Jawab-i-Shikwa (Man's Complaint and God's Answer), wrote (translated from Urdu by Indian journalist-author Khushwant Singh):

Excluding opposing views risks driving some to express themselves in a more violent manner.

I recomend for you a movie to watch V for Vandata. It is about a corrupt poilitcal system in the future Britain but it can be in any place in the world. Is a second American revolution coming?

The first one started with the Boston Tea Party. More than 230 years later, some think the time is ripe for a second American revolution.
An editorial in "Investors Business Daily" suggests people are now asking if the government does more harm than good—and if we should change what it does and the way it does it.
Much of the blame is laid on what it calls the "imperial presidency." It says that through his policies – like record spending and deficits, taxes, health care, etc. -President Obama is "diminishing America from within".
And there are growing signs that many Americans have had a bellyful of President Obama's policies.
Start with health care. 71 percent of Missouri voters supported a measure that would forbid the federal government from penalizing people who don't buy health insurance as mandated under President Obama's health care law.
And it's not just Missouri. Five states have passed similar bills, and two other states will have constitutional amendments on their November ballots to opt out of all, or part of, the new health care law.
There's immigration, which one day may be seen as the turning point in this struggle. While the federal government refuses to enforce the nation's immigration laws and refuses to secure our borders – it's going after Arizona in court for trying to protect its own citizens from an invasion of illegal aliens.
One Arizona sheriff says the federal government "has become our enemy and is taking us to court at a time when we need help." A Mexican drug cartel has reportedly offered $1 million to kill another Arizona sheriff, the controversial Joe Arpaio.
Things are getting very ugly. No surprise the president's approval ratings continue to decline. In some of the major polls, it's now approaching 40 percent.
Here’s my question to you: Is a second American revolution coming?

The American revolution is coming, and do not start the revolution without me. It is very clear that the American government is corrupt. Obama equal Bush both are working for the rich and corrupt corporation. The lawless George Bush had the oil companies in his white house before the invasion of Iraq. Afghanistan in large part is about oil as well and domination. The lawless George Bush cut me off the media in his dark age, spreading democracy for the people they have animosity with and for the corrupt oppressive Muslim leaders they are allies. There is no character assassination since there is really no character. The lawless George Bush tried to intimidate me by lawsuit in his dark age so I shut up but no one will silence the voice of freedom. Obama the fox he know about me like he knew his parents and they stole my passport so I do not go to the Middle East and free my people. But God has his way we need to free America first in order to free the world. The revolution can be easily non-Bloody if the tyrants who control America in both parties to let the American people establish true democracy. For the coward Muslims in America who know that I am Al Mahdi Al Muntazer join non-Muslims to free this country so we can be free in the Arab and Muslim world. Americans will spend their money and treasure and work for long years until they drop dead at work for the 1% or so who control America and the world and enjoy the wealth. Do not ever think they give up of half of the few rich of their wealth is very sincere Jesus-obeying sacrifice. They are afraid of the revolution. There will not be socialism but true moral capitalism if the new America is to come about. I will give Taman Health Plan to America for free when I find true leaders who are willing to change the world for better are here. No Obama tricks going to Cairo for a speech while a lot of Muslims are here in America he could talk to them. He does not want peace but submission to imperialism. The lawless Bush who I offered him my plan and he was talking about the great Middle East could have easily talked to me and other Muslims. For us it is not about control. For your information Al Mahdi is not an official job it means simply a man guided by God for the sake of obeying what God told us to do. Sharia law is not applied to Non-Muslims like they try to threaten you. Stoning actually was the law since Moses and for God grace made it very difficult to do and implement. Cutting the hands of thieves is also very difficult to apply and God made both adultery and stealing very condemned but not terminal sins. The Saudi apply stoning and go out Saudia to enjoy the sexual revolution, I am not mentioning names and we do not do that in Islam.
Going back to the revolution let us have it bloodless and let us see the American politicians have a long trip to Bahama, come on guys enjoy your lives and take the lobbyists for the voyage. For me I will build the future for the next generation with the next American president.

All of You Are Misguided Except Those Whom I Guide (part 1 of 3): What is a Hadith Qudsi?

This week we are going to begin a short series of articles about one of the traditional sayings of Prophet Muhammad. In the second part we will focus on the great need humankind has for God, while, acknowledging that God has no need for us, our prayers or our remembrance of Him. He is All Powerful, All Mighty. However before we can understand this infallible truth we must be clear about the sources of knowledge in Islam and understand them. This understanding means we are able to discuss immense and important topics in a comprehensive way. Knowledge in Islam is derived from the Quran and from the authentic traditions of Prophet Muhammad, known as the Sunnah.
The Quran sometimes called the Holy Quran or the Noble Quran is the divine scripture or sacred text of the religion of Islam. Muslims believe it is the literal word of God as revealed to God’s final messenger Muhammad. This web site contains several articles about the Quran for those who would like more in-depth information. The Sunnah is the practical behaviour of Prophet Muhammad; anything that he said, his behaviour, what he accepted from somebody else and descriptions of his characteristics. It is a broad topic and we derive our understanding of the Sunnah from the oral traditions, known as hadith.
Amongst all the thousands of hadith, are some that belong in a special category. They are known as Hadith Qudsi. They are sayings that Prophet Muhammad attributes to God. They are God’s message to humankind but in the words of Prophet Muhammad. There are more than 100 Hadith Qudsi and they usually deal with spiritual or ethical subjects. One of the most beautiful and comprehensive of the hadith Qudsi is the following saying. Transmitted to us from God to Prophet Muhammad and then down through the generations by an authentic and reliable chain of narrators.
"'O My servants, I have forbidden oppression for Myself and have made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another. O My servants, all of you are astray except for those I have guided, so seek guidance of Me and I shall guide you. O My servants, all of you are hungry except for those I have fed, so seek food of Me and I shall feed you. O My servants, all of you are naked except for those I have clothed, so seek clothing of Me and I shall clothe you. O My servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness of Me and I shall forgive you. O My servants, you will not attain harming Me so as to harm Me, and you will not attain benefiting Me so as to benefit Me. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as pious as the most pious heart of any one man of you, that would not increase My kingdom in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as wicked as the most wicked heart of any one man of you, that would not decrease My kingdom in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to rise up in one place and make a request of Me, and were I to give everyone what he requested, that would not decrease what I have, any more than a needle decreases the sea if put into it. O My servants, it is but your deeds that I reckon up for you and then recompense you for, so let him who finds good praise Allah and let him who finds other than that blame no one but himself.'"[1]
God emphasises justice, and Islam condemns and prohibits all forms of injustice and oppression. God the Almighty is the Most Just, it is from Him that all justice emanates. God has made oppression unlawful for Himself and His promise is true: many verses in Quran testify to this.
“Your Lord is not unjust at all to His slaves.” (Quran 41:46)
“And God wills no injustice to the world.” (Quran 3:108)
“Surely God wrongs not even of the weight of an atom.” (Quran 4:40)
God has also made oppression of any kind unlawful for humankind. Islam tells us that there are three kinds of oppression or injustice. The first is injustice towards God that is associating partners with Him. The second is injustice towards ourselves, that is committing sins and the third is being unjust towards others (humankind or other creatures). Islam is more than a religion it is a code of practice. Following Islam means that the rights bestowed on humankind by God are respected and upheld. Islam seeks justice for all creatures, great, and small.
“We sent Our Messengers with clear signs and sent down with them the Book and the Measure in order to establish justice among the people…” (Quran 57:25)
In this Hadith Qudsi God begins by stressing the importance of justice. He condemns oppression and makes it quite clear that oppression is not from the tenants of Islam nor is it tolerated by the believers. However, He does not stop there, He then goes on to say that all of humankind are misguided except for those whom He (God) has chosen to guide. He asks that whenever we seek guidance we seek it from Him, for it can be obtained from no other place.
Without guidance, we are lost, continually searching for solace. It is God’s most precious gift. Knowing this and understanding the concepts of justice and forgiveness inherent in Islam enriches and completes us. Knowing that our purpose is to worship God liberates us. Guidance enables a person to accept and be grateful for the blessings that God bestows every second of every day. Humankind depends on God; God however has no need for humankind. This comprehensive hadith gives us a clear understanding of our need for God. Next week we will discuss this topic and learn that nothing happens except by the permission of God.

This week we are going to begin a short series of articles about one of the traditional sayings of Prophet Muhammad. In the second part we will focus on the great need humankind has for God, while, acknowledging that God has no need for us, our prayers or our remembrance of Him. He is All Powerful, All Mighty. However before we can understand this infallible truth we must be clear about the sources of knowledge in Islam and understand them. This understanding means we are able to discuss immense and important topics in a comprehensive way. Knowledge in Islam is derived from the Quran and from the authentic traditions of Prophet Muhammad, known as the Sunnah.
The Quran sometimes called the Holy Quran or the Noble Quran is the divine scripture or sacred text of the religion of Islam. Muslims believe it is the literal word of God as revealed to God’s final messenger Muhammad. This web site contains several articles about the Quran for those who would like more in-depth information. The Sunnah is the practical behaviour of Prophet Muhammad; anything that he said, his behaviour, what he accepted from somebody else and descriptions of his characteristics. It is a broad topic and we derive our understanding of the Sunnah from the oral traditions, known as hadith.
Amongst all the thousands of hadith, are some that belong in a special category. They are known as Hadith Qudsi. They are sayings that Prophet Muhammad attributes to God. They are God’s message to humankind but in the words of Prophet Muhammad. There are more than 100 Hadith Qudsi and they usually deal with spiritual or ethical subjects. One of the most beautiful and comprehensive of the hadith Qudsi is the following saying. Transmitted to us from God to Prophet Muhammad and then down through the generations by an authentic and reliable chain of narrators.
"'O My servants, I have forbidden oppression for Myself and have made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another. O My servants, all of you are astray except for those I have guided, so seek guidance of Me and I shall guide you. O My servants, all of you are hungry except for those I have fed, so seek food of Me and I shall feed you. O My servants, all of you are naked except for those I have clothed, so seek clothing of Me and I shall clothe you. O My servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness of Me and I shall forgive you. O My servants, you will not attain harming Me so as to harm Me, and you will not attain benefiting Me so as to benefit Me. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as pious as the most pious heart of any one man of you, that would not increase My kingdom in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as wicked as the most wicked heart of any one man of you, that would not decrease My kingdom in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to rise up in one place and make a request of Me, and were I to give everyone what he requested, that would not decrease what I have, any more than a needle decreases the sea if put into it. O My servants, it is but your deeds that I reckon up for you and then recompense you for, so let him who finds good praise Allah and let him who finds other than that blame no one but himself.'"[1]
God emphasises justice, and Islam condemns and prohibits all forms of injustice and oppression. God the Almighty is the Most Just, it is from Him that all justice emanates. God has made oppression unlawful for Himself and His promise is true: many verses in Quran testify to this.
“Your Lord is not unjust at all to His slaves.” (Quran 41:46)
“And God wills no injustice to the world.” (Quran 3:108)
“Surely God wrongs not even of the weight of an atom.” (Quran 4:40)
God has also made oppression of any kind unlawful for humankind. Islam tells us that there are three kinds of oppression or injustice. The first is injustice towards God that is associating partners with Him. The second is injustice towards ourselves, that is committing sins and the third is being unjust towards others (humankind or other creatures). Islam is more than a religion it is a code of practice. Following Islam means that the rights bestowed on humankind by God are respected and upheld. Islam seeks justice for all creatures, great, and small.
“We sent Our Messengers with clear signs and sent down with them the Book and the Measure in order to establish justice among the people…” (Quran 57:25)
In this Hadith Qudsi God begins by stressing the importance of justice. He condemns oppression and makes it quite clear that oppression is not from the tenants of Islam nor is it tolerated by the believers. However, He does not stop there, He then goes on to say that all of humankind are misguided except for those whom He (God) has chosen to guide. He asks that whenever we seek guidance we seek it from Him, for it can be obtained from no other place.
Without guidance, we are lost, continually searching for solace. It is God’s most precious gift. Knowing this and understanding the concepts of justice and forgiveness inherent in Islam enriches and completes us. Knowing that our purpose is to worship God liberates us. Guidance enables a person to accept and be grateful for the blessings that God bestows every second of every day. Humankind depends on God; God however has no need for humankind. This comprehensive hadith gives us a clear understanding of our need for God. Next week we will discuss this topic and learn that nothing happens except by the permission of God.

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always had a profound relationship with God. Even though I was raised a Catholic, with all its ambiguities, contradictions and confusion, I did my best to stay God-focused and not to give in to the teachings of the Church, because even to me as a child, they seemed to go against the grain somehow. During my high school days, I made a conscious decision to apply myself more thoroughly to my faith. I attended mass twice a day, every day, went to the confessional at least once a week, and did all the ritual practices my priest insisted upon; all in an effort to draw closer to a God. The church failed to me to answer all of life’s most pressing questions; who am I, who and what is God, why am I here, and what should be my relationship with this superior being who created the universe? How am I supposed to live my life? Who is my role model, and how should I follow him or her? Why does God need to have a son now, when He was alone in the creation of all that is, and need no partner or intercessor before? My priest was unable to answer my questions, beyond stating that I should have faith, and that it did not all have to make sense as long as my faith was strong enough. This did not satisfy me, and on finishing high school, I left the church and set out on a quest to find the correct way, belief and religion.
I investigated a number of religions in an effort to get rid of this internal emptiness. I practiced Hinduism, Taoism, Zen Buddhism, and in later years even dabbled in White Witchcraft. Now, most people may find this crazy, but you have to understand that I was searching, truly searching, but all these left a void, and just never seemed to fit. Then one day my sister came to see me and what I saw took me by surprise. She entered the house with a very long dress and was covered from head to toe. Her hair was covered by an opaque scarf and came over her breasts to right above her waist. After asking her why she was dressed like that in the middle of summer when it’s at least 85 degrees outside, she explained to me that she was a Muslim.
Now of all the religions I looked into, I never thought of investigating Islam, mainly because there didn’t seem to be a lot of information readily available, and because I carried a lot of the Islamic stereotypes in my head, that I now have to deal with in other people. So I left my family and moved to California, still without a religion, or a sound relationship with God.
In the beginning a lot of stereotypes about Islam kept me from studying about this religion
At that point I gave up, and just decided to go with flow, and not worry about it. I did this for two years, and although I found love and got engaged to marry to my college sweetheart; something was still missing. In the back of my mind, there was always that nagging voice that kept telling me that my life was out of order, but I would do my best to ignore it, until one fateful night. Right before I was due to leave California, and return to my home state to be with my fiancé and begin building our lives together, I had the scariest dream I’ve ever had in my life.
In this dream, two very tall men dressed in white were standing at the foot of my bed. As I looked at them, I thought they were either aliens or angels, I wasn’t sure which, but I was very afraid and was trying my utmost to get away from them, but the harder I tried to get away, the closer to them I got. Eventually, we ended up on top of a very high mountain, with a sea beneath us as red as blood and as hot as lava. The two men pointed and instructed me to look into the sea. What I saw will stay with me until the day I die. The sea was full of naked people, being turned over and over, like meat being roasted over a fire, and they were screaming, “Help us, help us!” Needless to say, I felt I was getting a fist-hand glimpse of Hell, and I was terrified. I told my fiancé about the dream, and he just laughed and said that I had an overactive imagination, but I couldn’t dismiss it so easily.
When I returned to Michigan, I found out that my other sister, and my cousin had also embraced Islam during my absence. This made me curious, so I asked my sister to give me some books to read, and one of the first was, Descriptions of the Hell Fire. Everything that was in my dream was in this book. I was floored. So I began reading and reading, and going to lectures and asking questions, and the more I learned about Islam, the more my head and heart told me that this was what I was looking or all along. I had made up my mind to embrace Islam, but I had one small problem, my fiancé. He was adamant that he was not going to be a Muslim, so I had to choose between the man I loved, and doing what I knew in my heart was right.
God says that if you say you truly believe in Him and His Messenger, (peace be upon him), He will test you, and this was my test. Despite the great amount of pain it caused me at the time, I did choose Islam over my fiancé. That was almost six years ago, and God has since blessed me with a wonderful husband who loves Him and Messenger, and a beautiful son. God says for all who truly want guidance, He will lead them from darkness into light; and I know that is what He did for me.

Catholics are very good people I lived with them for many years. God allowed freedom of religion. There is no compulsion in religion. They have the right for what they believe in and we have the right to tell them what God says in the Quran. Actually we do not need even to read it to anyone it is in the web and people have to read it to themselves and decide about it. The common thing they always stick to is any spirit that do not confess that Jesus is God is not from God. What if the Quran is actually from God and he is correcting to them that is Jesus is a great prophet and he is the messiah and he is our savior as Muslims. Muhammad (PBUH) is unlike me he had the angel Gabriel comes to him and he tell him what God says like the angel did with many prophets before. Muhammad would talk face to face to Jews and Christians about his communication with God. If he was a liar people would have found many lies to him. To say the Quran is inspired by Satan is very superficial thinking. If you read the Quran in depth you find out it is full of truth and wisdom. Unfortunately we are in the period of tribulation which is bad for all of us Doctor Sam Harris in his book proclaimed the end of faith. The truth is it is the end of time and new era will be established and this era of corruption and injustice will be erased. Difficult time but we were warned about and we are the ones who are prolonging it.

There is no much difference between Obama and Bush
منظمة أمريكية: لا فرق بين أوباما وبوش
وجهت منظمة أمريكية يسارية اتهامات إلى إدارة الرئيس باراك اوباما بالسير على خطى سلفها في سياستها الأمنية المثير للجدل، مشيرة إلى اعتقالات لفترات غير محددة ومحاكم استثنائية وقصف من طائرات بدون طيار.
وقالت المنظمة الأمريكية للدفاع عن الحريات المدنية التي تتمتع بنفوذ كبير، في تقرير حول حصيلة أداء الرئيس الديموقراطي بعد 18 شهرًا من وصوله إلى البيت الأبيض، إن إدارة أوباما "توشك أن تضع معايير جديدة مطابقة لأسوأ الخيارات في عهد (الرئيس السابق جورج) بوش" في مجال الأمن الوطني.
تراجع الوعود
وأشارت إلى أن النوايا الحسنة التي عبر عنها أوباما أثناء حملته إلى الانتخابات الرئاسية التي جرت في أواخر 2008 بمنع التعذيب وإغلاق معتقل جوانتانامو أو ضمان شفافية حكومته تقلصت تدريجًا وتم التخلي عن بعضها.
وعبرت المنظمة عن أسفها "لأن الوضع تكرر في الأشهر الـ 18 الأولى من عمر هذه الادارة: في كل مرة يتحقق نجاح يليه تراجع". واتهمت أوباما بالتخلي عن المراسيم التي تمنع التعذيب وتأمر باغلاق جوانتانامو والسجون السرية التابعة لوكالة الاستخبارات المركزية (سي آي إيه).
وكان أوباما وقع هذه المراسيم غداة توليه مهامه الرئاسية ونشر وثائق حساسة جدًا من عهد سلفه جورج بوش تسمح بالتعذيب من قبل أعلى المستويات.
لكن البيت الأبيض يرفض الانتقادات الواردة في التقرير، وقال على لسان الناطق باسمه روبرت جيبس "هناك تقديرات مختلفة جدًا" للإجراءات التي اتخذتها الادارة الأمريكية منذ يناير 20، وأضاف "في كل مرة، يقول أحد ما وعن غير حق برأي، إننا نتحرك بشكل مختلف تمامًا (عن ادارة بوش) وإن الاجراءات التي نتخذها لا تسمح بضمان أمن" الولايات المتحدة. وأضاف "من المضحك في هذا الجدل أن تقول جهة ما عكس ذلك".
اعتقالات مفتوحة
وترى المنظمة أن اختيار الإدارة إبقاء نحو خمسين معتقلاً في معتقل جوانتانامو سيء الصيت لفترة غير محددة غير مقبول، لكنها في الوقت ذاته تعترف لإدارة أوباما "بفضلها في الافراج عن 67 معتقلاً" من جوانتانامو، علمًا بأنه كان قد تعهد بإغلاق هذا المعتقل في غضون عام من وصوله إلى البيت الأبيض. وعبرت المنظمة عن الرأي ذاته بشأن إعادة العمل بالمحاكم العسكرية الاستثنائية "لجرائم الحرب"، بعد إصلاحها.
لكن جريج كريج المدير السابق للشئون القانونية في البيت الأبيض دافع عن الإجراءات التي اتخذت في عهد أوباما بشأن تلك المحاكم، قائلاً، إن "المحاكم العسكرية الاستثنائية تم تعديلها بشكل كامل وأدخلت تحسينات كبيرة عليها والنص أقر بفضل توافق بين الجمهوريين والديموقراطيين في البيت الأبيض".
وأضاف "لا يمكن قول ذلك عن كل الإجراءات لكن هذه الخطوة عززت مبدأ المحاكمة العادلة وتدل على قطيعة مع إدارة بوش لا على استمرار".
قصف المدنيين
في سياق منفصل، عبرت المنظمة عن استيائها أيضًا من تزايد عدد عمليات القتل المحددة الأهداف بواسطة طائرات بدون طيار وخصوصًا في باكستان، واستهدافها مواطنين أمريكيين أيضًاـ وقالت إن "هذا البرنامج يشكل انتهاكًا للقوانين الدولية (...) ويعرض للخطر حياة أبرياء".
واعتبرت أنه "يمنح السي آي إيه والجيش الأمريكي إمكان فرض الإعدام خارج الأطر القانونية"، بينما تعرضت قدراتهما على التعرف على المجرمين للتشكيك من مئات الابرياء الذين مروا في معتقل غوانتانامو.
وأشارت المنظمة أيضًا إلى رفض الإدارة إجراء ملاحقات ضد الذين وضعوا النظريات وأمروا بممارسة التعذيب بعد هدمات 11 سبتمبر 2001 ومواصلة مراقبة الاتصالات الإلكترونية من جانب مكتب التحقيقات الفدرالي (إف بي آي) بدون إذن القضاء.

Muslims are not inherently biased or evil but smart like a lot of groups of people. The problem with the west is they think they are too dump. We were very enthusiastic when Bush declared the war on the crazy Saddam who led to millions of people to die or live in misery. However there were no true sincerity towards the Arab or Muslim masses the war was for the oil, protect Israel and the tyrannical Saudi Family who are close friends to the Bush dynasty. Then we found out that Bush is a deceptive man. Then came Obama with great promised and wonderful speech in Egypt and we were waiting for delivery. He can easily sit down with the Arab and Muslims and find out about all the grieving and try to solve them with us. But same wickedness like Bush wants to give you great speech and promises so we can help him against Jihadists and they continue to maintain the status cou. The result is widespread radicalization in the Muslim world. The radicals make their point very simple and clear these people would never reconcile with us and do not even consider our griefs and there politicians are in bed with ours after all they are corrupt like ours. There is only one way is Jihad. Moderates would not give up for talking peace not for fear of the corrupted west and its politicians but for the innocent people who die or get wounded in the cross fire. With the extreme brutality of the tyrant Bush and the continuation with Obama there is no men of peace we can see in the horizon. It has to come from the American people to press their politicians to seek real peace and reconciliation. I personally never closed my door and I am willing to negotiate between the west and Jihadists if both sides would agree. They both know my e-mail and I tired to make peace between them. My door is open. Another warning to the corrupt American Establishment whoever would come after me to intimidate me I will get him. Unlike the jihadists I do not have WMD but earthquakes and hurricanes so watch yourself. Just kidding I am not God but God is watching over me.

وقالت المنظمة الأمريكية للدفاع عن الحريات المدنية التي تتمتع بنفوذ كبير، في تقرير حول حصيلة أداء الرئيس الديموقراطي بعد 18 شهرًا من وصوله إلى البيت الأبيض، إن إدارة أوباما "توشك أن تضع معايير جديدة مطابقة لأسوأ الخيارات في عهد (الرئيس السابق جورج) بوش" في مجال الأمن الوطني.
تراجع الوعود
وأشارت إلى أن النوايا الحسنة التي عبر عنها أوباما أثناء حملته إلى الانتخابات الرئاسية التي جرت في أواخر 2008 بمنع التعذيب وإغلاق معتقل جوانتانامو أو ضمان شفافية حكومته تقلصت تدريجًا وتم التخلي عن بعضها.
وعبرت المنظمة عن أسفها "لأن الوضع تكرر في الأشهر الـ 18 الأولى من عمر هذه الادارة: في كل مرة يتحقق نجاح يليه تراجع". واتهمت أوباما بالتخلي عن المراسيم التي تمنع التعذيب وتأمر باغلاق جوانتانامو والسجون السرية التابعة لوكالة الاستخبارات المركزية (سي آي إيه).
وكان أوباما وقع هذه المراسيم غداة توليه مهامه الرئاسية ونشر وثائق حساسة جدًا من عهد سلفه جورج بوش تسمح بالتعذيب من قبل أعلى المستويات.
لكن البيت الأبيض يرفض الانتقادات الواردة في التقرير، وقال على لسان الناطق باسمه روبرت جيبس "هناك تقديرات مختلفة جدًا" للإجراءات التي اتخذتها الادارة الأمريكية منذ يناير 20، وأضاف "في كل مرة، يقول أحد ما وعن غير حق برأي، إننا نتحرك بشكل مختلف تمامًا (عن ادارة بوش) وإن الاجراءات التي نتخذها لا تسمح بضمان أمن" الولايات المتحدة. وأضاف "من المضحك في هذا الجدل أن تقول جهة ما عكس ذلك".
اعتقالات مفتوحة
وترى المنظمة أن اختيار الإدارة إبقاء نحو خمسين معتقلاً في معتقل جوانتانامو سيء الصيت لفترة غير محددة غير مقبول، لكنها في الوقت ذاته تعترف لإدارة أوباما "بفضلها في الافراج عن 67 معتقلاً" من جوانتانامو، علمًا بأنه كان قد تعهد بإغلاق هذا المعتقل في غضون عام من وصوله إلى البيت الأبيض. وعبرت المنظمة عن الرأي ذاته بشأن إعادة العمل بالمحاكم العسكرية الاستثنائية "لجرائم الحرب"، بعد إصلاحها.
لكن جريج كريج المدير السابق للشئون القانونية في البيت الأبيض دافع عن الإجراءات التي اتخذت في عهد أوباما بشأن تلك المحاكم، قائلاً، إن "المحاكم العسكرية الاستثنائية تم تعديلها بشكل كامل وأدخلت تحسينات كبيرة عليها والنص أقر بفضل توافق بين الجمهوريين والديموقراطيين في البيت الأبيض".
وأضاف "لا يمكن قول ذلك عن كل الإجراءات لكن هذه الخطوة عززت مبدأ المحاكمة العادلة وتدل على قطيعة مع إدارة بوش لا على استمرار".
قصف المدنيين
في سياق منفصل، عبرت المنظمة عن استيائها أيضًا من تزايد عدد عمليات القتل المحددة الأهداف بواسطة طائرات بدون طيار وخصوصًا في باكستان، واستهدافها مواطنين أمريكيين أيضًاـ وقالت إن "هذا البرنامج يشكل انتهاكًا للقوانين الدولية (...) ويعرض للخطر حياة أبرياء".
واعتبرت أنه "يمنح السي آي إيه والجيش الأمريكي إمكان فرض الإعدام خارج الأطر القانونية"، بينما تعرضت قدراتهما على التعرف على المجرمين للتشكيك من مئات الابرياء الذين مروا في معتقل غوانتانامو.
وأشارت المنظمة أيضًا إلى رفض الإدارة إجراء ملاحقات ضد الذين وضعوا النظريات وأمروا بممارسة التعذيب بعد هدمات 11 سبتمبر 2001 ومواصلة مراقبة الاتصالات الإلكترونية من جانب مكتب التحقيقات الفدرالي (إف بي آي) بدون إذن القضاء.

Muslims are not inherently biased or evil but smart like a lot of groups of people. The problem with the west is they think they are too dump. We were very enthusiastic when Bush declared the war on the crazy Saddam who led to millions of people to die or live in misery. However there were no true sincerity towards the Arab or Muslim masses the war was for the oil, protect Israel and the tyrannical Saudi Family who are close friends to the Bush dynasty. Then we found out that Bush is a deceptive man. Then came Obama with great promised and wonderful speech in Egypt and we were waiting for delivery. He can easily sit down with the Arab and Muslims and find out about all the grieving and try to solve them with us. But same wickedness like Bush wants to give you great speech and promises so we can help him against Jihadists and they continue to maintain the status cou. The result is widespread radicalization in the Muslim world. The radicals make their point very simple and clear these people would never reconcile with us and do not even consider our griefs and there politicians are in bed with ours after all they are corrupt like ours. There is only one way is Jihad. Moderates would not give up for talking peace not for fear of the corrupted west and its politicians but for the innocent people who die or get wounded in the cross fire. With the extreme brutality of the tyrant Bush and the continuation with Obama there is no men of peace we can see in the horizon. It has to come from the American people to press their politicians to seek real peace and reconciliation. I personally never closed my door and I am willing to negotiate between the west and Jihadists if both sides would agree. They both know my e-mail and I tired to make peace between them. My door is open. Another warning to the corrupt American Establishment whoever would come after me to intimidate me I will get him. Unlike the jihadists I do not have WMD but earthquakes and hurricanes so watch yourself. Just kidding I am not God but God is watching over me.

اقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مَّعْرِضُونَ (21:1)21:1 (Picktall) Their reckoning draweth nigh for mankind, while they turn away in heedlessness.
مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مَّن رَّبِّهِم مُّحْدَثٍ إِلَّا اسْتَمَعُوهُ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ (21:2)21:2 (Picktall) Never cometh there unto them a new reminder from their Lord but they listen to it while they play. -
لَاهِيَةً قُلُوبُهُمْ وَأَسَرُّواْ النَّجْوَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ هَلْ هَذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ أَفَتَأْتُونَ السِّحْرَ وَأَنتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ (21:3)21:3 (Picktall) With hearts preoccupied. And they confer in secret The wrong-doers say: Is this other than a mortal like you? Will ye then succumb to magic when ye see (it)? -
قَالَ رَبِّي يَعْلَمُ الْقَوْلَ فِي السَّمَاء وَالأَرْضِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ (21:4)21:4 (Picktall) He saith: My Lord knoweth what is spoken in the heaven and the earth. He is the Hearer, the Knower. -
بَلْ قَالُواْ أَضْغَاثُ أَحْلاَمٍ بَلِ افْتَرَاهُ بَلْ هُوَ شَاعِرٌ فَلْيَأْتِنَا بِآيَةٍ كَمَا أُرْسِلَ الأَوَّلُونَ (21:5)21:5 (Picktall) Nay, say they, (these are but) muddled dreams; nay, he hath but invented it; nay, he is but a poet. Let him bring us a portent even as those of old (who were God's messengers) were sent (with portents). -
مَا آمَنَتْ قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا أَفَهُمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ (21:6)21:6 (Picktall) Not a township believed of those which We destroyed before them (though We sent them portents): would they then believe? -
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ إِلاَّ رِجَالاً نُّوحِي إِلَيْهِمْ فَاسْأَلُواْ أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ (21:7)21:7 (Picktall) And We sent not (as Our messengers) before thee other than men whom We inspired. Ask the followers of the Reminder if ye know not? -
وَمَا جَعَلْنَاهُمْ جَسَدًا لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ الطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا خَالِدِينَ (21:8)21:8 (Picktall) We gave them not bodies that would not eat food, nor were they immortals. -
ثُمَّ صَدَقْنَاهُمُ الْوَعْدَ فَأَنجَيْنَاهُمْ وَمَن نَّشَاء وَأَهْلَكْنَا الْمُسْرِفِينَ (21:9)21:9 (Picktall) Then We fulfilled the promise unto them. So We delivered them and whom We would, and We destroyed the prodigals. -
لَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ كِتَابًا فِيهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ (21:10)21:10 (Picktall) Now We have revealed unto you a Scripture wherein is your Reminder. Have ye then no sense? -
وَكَمْ قَصَمْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ كَانَتْ ظَالِمَةً وَأَنشَأْنَا بَعْدَهَا قَوْمًا آخَرِينَ (21:11)21:11 (Picktall) How many a community that dealt unjustly have We shattered, and raised up after them another folk! -
فَلَمَّا أَحَسُّوا بَأْسَنَا إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَرْكُضُونَ (21:12)21:12 (Picktall) And, when they felt Our might, behold them fleeing from it! -
لَا تَرْكُضُوا وَارْجِعُوا إِلَى مَا أُتْرِفْتُمْ فِيهِ وَمَسَاكِنِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْأَلُونَ (21:13)21:13 (Picktall) (But it was said unto them): Flee not, but return to that (existence) which emasculated you and to your dwellings, that ye may be questioned. -
قَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ (21:14)21:14 (Picktall) They cried: Alas for us! Lo! we were wrongdoers. -
فَمَا زَالَت تِّلْكَ دَعْوَاهُمْ حَتَّى جَعَلْنَاهُمْ حَصِيدًا خَامِدِينَ (21:15)21:15 (Picktall) And this their crying ceased not till We made them as reaped corn, extinct. -
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاء وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَاعِبِينَ (21:16)21:16 (Picktall) We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them in play. -
لَوْ أَرَدْنَا أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَّاتَّخَذْنَاهُ مِن لَّدُنَّا إِن كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ (21:17)21:17 (Picktall) If We had wished to find a pastime, We could have found it in Our presence if We ever did. -
بَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَى الْبَاطِلِ فَيَدْمَغُهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌ وَلَكُمُ الْوَيْلُ مِمَّا تَصِفُونَ (21:18)21:18 (Picktall) Nay, but We hurl the true against the false, and it doth break its head and lo! it vanisheth. And yours will be woe for that which ye ascribe (unto Him). -
وَلَهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ عِندَهُ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِ وَلَا يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ (21:19)21:19 (Picktall) Unto Him belongeth whosoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those who dwell in His presence are not too proud to worship Him nor do they weary; -
يُسَبِّحُونَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ لَا يَفْتُرُونَ (21:20)21:20 (Picktall) They glorify (Him) night and day; they flag not. -
أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا آلِهَةً مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ هُمْ يُنشِرُونَ (21:21)21:21 (Picktall) Or have they chosen Gods from the earth who raise the dead? -
لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا آلِهَةٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ (21:22)21:22 (Picktall) If there were therein Gods beside Allah, then verily both (the heavens and the earth) had been disordered. Glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Throne, from all that they ascribe (unto Him). -
لَا يُسْأَلُ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ يُسْأَلُونَ (21:23)21:23 (Picktall) He will not be questioned as to that which He doeth, but they will be questioned.
أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ هَذَا ذِكْرُ مَن مَّعِيَ وَذِكْرُ مَن قَبْلِي بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ الْحَقَّ فَهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ (21:24)21:24 (Picktall) Or have they chosen other gods beside Him? Say: Bring your proof (of their godhead). This is the Reminder of those with me and those before me, but most of them know not the Truth and so they are averse. -
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا نُوحِي إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدُونِ (21:25)21:25 (Picktall) And We sent no messenger before thee but We inspired him, (saying): There is no God save Me (Allah), so worship Me. -
وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمَنُ وَلَدًا سُبْحَانَهُ بَلْ عِبَادٌ مُّكْرَمُونَ (21:26)21:26 (Picktall) And they say: The Beneficent hath taken unto Himself a son. Be He glorified! Nay, but (those whom they call sons) are honored slaves;
لَا يَسْبِقُونَهُ بِالْقَوْلِ وَهُم بِأَمْرِهِ يَعْمَلُونَ (21:27)21:27 (Picktall) They speak not until He hath spoken, and they act by His command. -
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يَشْفَعُونَ إِلَّا لِمَنِ ارْتَضَى وَهُم مِّنْ خَشْيَتِهِ مُشْفِقُونَ (21:28)21:28 (Picktall) He knoweth what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot intercede except for him whom He accepteth, and they quake for awe of Him. -وَمَن يَقُلْ مِنْهُمْ إِنِّي إِلَهٌ مِّن دُونِهِ فَذَلِكَ نَجْزِيهِ جَهَنَّمَ كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِمِينَ (21:2921:29 (Picktall) And one of them who should say: Lo! I am a God beside Him, that one We should repay with hell. Thus We repay wrong-doers. -أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَاهُمَا وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاء كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ (21:30)21:30 (Picktall) Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and We made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe? -وَجَعَلْنَا فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِهِمْ وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا فِجَاجًا سُبُلًا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ (21:31)21:31 (Picktall) And We have placed in the earth firm hills lest it quake with them, and We have placed therein ravines as roads that haply they may find their way. -وَجَعَلْنَا السَّمَاء سَقْفًا مَّحْفُوظًا وَهُمْ عَنْ آيَاتِهَا مُعْرِضُونَ (21:32)21:32 (Picktall) And We have made the sky a roof withheld (from them). Yet they turn away from its portents. -وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ (21:33)21:33 (Picktall) And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They float, each in an orbit. -وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ الْخُلْدَ أَفَإِن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ الْخَالِدُونَ (21:34)21:34 (Picktall) We appointed immortality for no mortal before thee. What! if thou diest, can they be immortal? -كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ وَنَبْلُوكُم بِالشَّرِّ وَالْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً وَإِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ (21:35)21:35 (Picktall) Every soul must taste of death, and We try you with evil and with good, for ordeal. And unto Us ye will be returned. -وَإِذَا رَآكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَذَا الَّذِي يَذْكُرُ آلِهَتَكُمْ وَهُم بِذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَنِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ (21:36)21:36 (Picktall) And when those who disbelieve behold thee, they but choose thee out for mockery, (saying): Is this he who maketh mention of your gods? And they would deny all mention of the Beneficent. -خُلِقَ الْإِنسَانُ مِنْ عَجَلٍ سَأُرِيكُمْ آيَاتِي فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونِ (21:37)21:37 (Picktall) Man is made of haste. I shall show you My portents, but ask Me not to hasten. -
وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ (21:38)21:38 (Picktall) And they say: When will this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? -
لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا حِينَ لَا يَكُفُّونَ عَن وُجُوهِهِمُ النَّارَ وَلَا عَن ظُهُورِهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ (21:39)21:39 (Picktall) If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not be able to drive off the fire from their faces and from their backs, and they will not be helped! -بَلْ تَأْتِيهِم بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ (21:40)21:40 (Picktall) Nay, but it will come upon them unawares so that it will stupefy them, and they will be unable to repel it, neither will they be reprieved. -وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُون (21:41)21:41 (Picktall) Messengers before thee, indeed, were mocked, but that whereat they mocked surrounded those who scoffed at them. -قُلْ مَن يَكْلَؤُكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مِنَ الرَّحْمَنِ بَلْ هُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ (21:42)21:42 (Picktall) Say: Who guardeth you in the night or in the day from the Beneficent? Nay, but they turn away from mention of their Lord, -أَمْ لَهُمْ آلِهَةٌ تَمْنَعُهُم مِّن دُونِنَا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَا هُم مِّنَّا يُصْحَبُونَ (21:43)21:43 (Picktall) Or have they gods who can shield them from Us? They cannot help themselves nor can they be defended from Us. -بَلْ مَتَّعْنَا هَؤُلَاء وَآبَاءهُمْ حَتَّى طَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعُمُرُ أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّا نَأْتِي الْأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا أَفَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ (21:44)21:44 (Picktall) Nay, but We gave these and their fathers ease until life grew long for them. See they not how we visit the land, reducing it of its outlying parts? Can they then be the victors? -
قُلْ إِنَّمَا أُنذِرُكُم بِالْوَحْيِ وَلَا يَسْمَعُ الصُّمُّ الدُّعَاء إِذَا مَا يُنذَرُونَ (21:45)21:45 (Picktall) Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I warn you only by the Inspiration. But the deaf hear not the call when they are warned. -وَلَئِن مَّسَّتْهُمْ نَفْحَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ (21:46)21:46 (Picktall) And if a breath of thy Lord's punishment were to touch them, they assuredly would say: Alas for us! Lo! we were wrong-doers. -وَنَضَعُ الْمَوَازِينَ الْقِسْطَ لِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَلَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْئًا وَإِن كَانَ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ أَتَيْنَا بِهَا وَكَفَى بِنَا حَاسِبِينَ (21:47) 21:47 (Picktall) And We set a just balance for the Day of Resurrection so that no soul is wronged in aught. Though it be of the weight of a grain of mustard seed, We bring it. And We suffice for reckoners. -
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ الْفُرْقَانَ وَضِيَاء وَذِكْرًا لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ (21:48)21:48 (Picktall) And We verily gave Moses and Aaron the Criterion (of right and wrong) and a light and a Reminder for those who keep from evil-- -الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَيْبِ وَهُم مِّنَ السَّاعَةِ مُشْفِقُونَ (21:49)21:49 (Picktall) Those who fear their Lord in secret and who dread the Hour (of doom). -وَهَذَا ذِكْرٌ مُّبَارَكٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ أَفَأَنتُمْ لَهُ مُنكِرُونَ (21:50)21:50 (Picktall) This is a blessed Reminder that We have revealed: Will ye then reject it? -
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ رُشْدَهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا بِه عَالِمِينَ (21:51)21:51 (Picktall) And We verily gave Abraham of old his proper course, and We were Aware of him, -إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا هَذِهِ التَّمَاثِيلُ الَّتِي أَنتُمْ لَهَا عَاكِفُونَ (21:52)21:52 (Picktall) When he said unto his father and his folk: What are these images unto which ye pay devotion? -قَالُوا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءنَا لَهَا عَابِدِينَ (21:53)21:53 (Picktall) They said: We found our fathers worshippers of them. -قَالَ لَقَدْ كُنتُمْ أَنتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمْ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ (21:54)21:54 (Picktall) He said: Verily ye and your fathers were in plain error. -
قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا بِالْحَقِّ أَمْ أَنتَ مِنَ اللَّاعِبِينَ (21:55)21:55 (Picktall) They said: Bringest thou unto us the truth, or art thou some jester? -قَالَ بَل رَّبُّكُمْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ الَّذِي فَطَرَهُنَّ وَأَنَا عَلَى ذَلِكُم مِّنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ (21:56)21:56 (Picktall) He said: Nay, but your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Who created them; and I am of those who testify unto that.
وَتَاللَّهِ لَأَكِيدَنَّ أَصْنَامَكُم بَعْدَ أَن تُوَلُّوا مُدْبِرِينَ (21:57)21:57 (Picktall) And, by Allah, I shall circumvent your idols after ye have gone away and turned your backs. -فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذَاذًا إِلَّا كَبِيرًا لَّهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ يَرْجِعُونَ (21:58)21:58 (Picktall) Then he reduced them to fragments, all save the chief of them, that haply they might have recourse to it. -قَالُوا مَن فَعَلَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ (21:59)21:59 (Picktall) They said: Who hath done this to our gods? Surely it must be some evil-doer. -
قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا فَتًى يَذْكُرُهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ (21:60)21:60 (Picktall) They said: We heard a youth make mention of them, who is called Abraham. -
قَالُوا فَأْتُوا بِهِ عَلَى أَعْيُنِ النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْهَدُونَ (21:61)21:61 (Picktall) They said: Then bring him (hither) before the people's eyes that they may testify. -قَالُوا أَأَنتَ فَعَلْتَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ (21:62)21:62 (Picktall) They said: Is it thou who hast done this to our gods, O Abraham? - قَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَهُ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَذَا فَاسْأَلُوهُمْ إِن كَانُوا يَنطِقُونَ (21:63)
21:63 (Picktall) He said: But this, their chief hath done it. So question them, if they can speak. -
فَرَجَعُوا إِلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ فَقَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ أَنتُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ (21:64)21:64 (Picktall) Then gathered they apart and said: Lo! ye yourselves are the wrong doers. -
ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا عَلَى رُؤُوسِهِمْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا هَؤُلَاء يَنطِقُونَ (21:65)21:65 (Picktall) And they were utterly confounded, and they said: Well thou knowest that these speak not. -
قَالَ أَفَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ (21:66)21:66 (Picktall) He said: Worship ye then instead of Allah that which cannot profit you at all, nor harm you? -أُفٍّ لَّكُمْ وَلِمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ (21:67)21:67 (Picktall) Fie on you and all that ye worship instead of Allah! Have ye then no sense? -
قَالُوا حَرِّقُوهُ وَانصُرُوا آلِهَتَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ (21:68)21:68 (Picktall) They cried: Burn him and stand by your gods, if ye will be doing. -
قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ (21:69)21:69 (Picktall) We said: O fire, be coolness and peace for Abraham. -
وَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَخْسَرِينَ (21:70)21:70 (Picktall) And they wished to set a snare for him, but We made them the greater losers. -
وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَلُوطًا إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا لِلْعَالَمِينَ (21:71)21:71 (Picktall) And We rescued him and Lot (and brought them) to the land which We have blessed for (all) peoples. -
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ نَافِلَةً وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا صَالِحِينَ (21:72)21:72 (Picktall) And We bestowed upon him Isaac, and Jacob as a grandson. Each of them We made righteous. -وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَإِقَامَ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاء الزَّكَاةِ وَكَانُوا لَنَا عَابِدِينَ (21:73)21:73 (Picktall) And We made them chiefs who guide by Our command, and We inspired in them the doing of good deeds and the right establishment of worship and the giving of alms and they were worshippers of Us (alone). -وَلُوطًا آتَيْنَاهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي كَانَت تَّعْمَلُ الْخَبَائِثَ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَاسِقِينَ (21:74)21:74 (Picktall) And unto Lot We gave judgment and knowledge, and We delivered him from the community that did abominations. Lo! they were folk of evil, lewd.وَأَدْخَلْنَاهُ فِي رَحْمَتِنَا إِنَّهُ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ (21:75)21:75 (Picktall) And We brought him in unto Our mercy. Lo! he was of the righteous. -
وَنُوحًا إِذْ نَادَى مِن قَبْلُ فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ فَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ (21:76)21:76 (Picktall) And Noah, when he cried of old, We heard his prayer and saved him and his household from the great affliction. -وَنَصَرْنَاهُ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ (21:77)21:77 (Picktall) And delivered him from the people who denied Our revelations. Lo! they were folk of evil, therefor did We drown them all. -
وَدَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ إِذْ يَحْكُمَانِ فِي الْحَرْثِ إِذْ نَفَشَتْ فِيهِ غَنَمُ الْقَوْمِ وَكُنَّا لِحُكْمِهِمْ شَاهِدِينَ (21:78)21:78 (Picktall) And David and Solomon, when they gave judgment concerning the field, when people's sheep had strayed and browsed therein by night; and We were witnesses to their judgment. -
فَفَهَّمْنَاهَا سُلَيْمَانَ وَكُلًّا آتَيْنَا حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوُودَ الْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَالطَّيْرَ وَكُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ (21:79)21:79 (Picktall) And We made Solomon to understand (the case); and unto each of them We gave judgment and knowledge. And We subdued the hills and the birds to hymn (His) praise along with David. We were the doers (thereof). -وَعَلَّمْنَاهُ صَنْعَةَ لَبُوسٍ لَّكُمْ لِتُحْصِنَكُم مِّن بَأْسِكُمْ فَهَلْ أَنتُمْ شَاكِرُونَ (21:80)21:80 (Picktall) And We taught him the art of making garments (of mail) to protect you in your daring. Are ye then thankful? -وَلِسُلَيْمَانَ الرِّيحَ عَاصِفَةً تَجْرِي بِأَمْرِهِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا وَكُنَّا بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَالِمِينَ (21:81) 21:81 (Picktall) And unto Solomon (We subdued) the wind in its raging. It set by His command toward the land which We had blessed. And of everything We are aware. -وَمِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ مَن يَغُوصُونَ لَهُ وَيَعْمَلُونَ عَمَلًا دُونَ ذَلِكَ وَكُنَّا لَهُمْ حَافِظِينَ (21:82)21:82 (Picktall) And of the evil ones (subdued We unto him) some who dived (for pearls) for him and did other work, and We were warders unto them. -وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ (21:83)21:83 (Picktall) And Job, when he cried unto his Lord, (saying): Lo! adversity afflicteth me, and Thou art Most Merciful of all who show mercy. -
فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِ مِن ضُرٍّ وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَذِكْرَى لِلْعَابِدِينَ (21:84)21:84 (Picktall) Then We heard his prayer and removed that adversity from which he suffered, and We gave him his household (that he had lost) and the like thereof along with them, a mercy from Our store, and a remembrance for the worshippers; -
وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِدْرِيسَ وَذَا الْكِفْلِ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الصَّابِرِينَ (21:85)21:85 (Picktall) And (mention) Ishmael, and Idris, and Dhul-Kifl. All were of the steadfast. -
وَأَدْخَلْنَاهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِنَا إِنَّهُم مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ (21:86)21:86 (Picktall) And We brought them in unto Our mercy. Lo! they are among the righteous. -
وَذَا النُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا فَظَنَّ أَن لَّن نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادَى فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ أَن لَّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ (21:87)21:87 (Picktall) And (mention) Dhun Nun (prophet Jonah), when he went off in anger and deemed that We had no power over him, but he cried out in the darkness, saying: There is no God save Thee. Be Thou glorified! I have been a wrong-doer. -فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّ وَكَذَلِكَ نُنجِي الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (21:88)21:88 (Picktall) Then We heard his prayer and saved him from the anguish. Thus We save believers. -
وَزَكَرِيَّا إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِي فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ (21:89)21:89 (Picktall) And Zachariah, when he cried unto his Lord: My Lord! Leave me not childless, though Thou art the best of inheritors. -فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ يَحْيَى وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُ زَوْجَهُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا وَكَانُوا لَنَا خَاشِعِينَ (21:90) 21:90 (Picktall) Then We heard his prayer, and bestowed upon him John, and adjusted his wife (to bear a child) for him. Lo! they used to vie one with the other in good deeds, and they cried unto Us in longing and in fear, and were submissive unto Us. -وَالَّتِي أَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيهَا مِن رُّوحِنَا وَجَعَلْنَاهَا وَابْنَهَا آيَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ (21:91)21:91 (Picktall) And she who was chaste, therefor We breathed into her (something) of Our spirit and made her and her son a token for (all) peoples.إِنَّ هَذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُونِ (21:92)21:92 (Picktall) Lo! this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me. -
وَتَقَطَّعُوا أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ كُلٌّ إِلَيْنَا رَاجِعُونَ (21:93)21:93 (Picktall) And they have broken their religion (into fragments) among them, (yet) all are returning unto Us. -فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَا كُفْرَانَ لِسَعْيِهِ وَإِنَّا لَهُ كَاتِبُونَ (21:94)21:94 (Picktall) Then whoso doeth good works and is a believer, there will be no rejection of his effort. Lo! We record (it) for him. -وَحَرَامٌ عَلَى قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا أَنَّهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ (21:95)21:95 (Picktall) And there is a ban upon any community which We have destroyed: that they shall not return, -
حَتَّى إِذَا فُتِحَتْ يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ وَهُم مِّن كُلِّ حَدَبٍ يَنسِلُونَ (21:96)21:96 (Picktall) Until, when Gog and Magog are let loose, and they hasten out of every mound.وَاقْتَرَبَ الْوَعْدُ الْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِيَ شَاخِصَةٌ أَبْصَارُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ (21:97)21:97 (Picktall) And the True Promise draweth nigh; then behold them, staring wide (in terror), the eyes of those who disbelieve! (They say): Alas for us! We (lived) in forgetfulness of this. Ah, but we were wrong doers! -
إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ أَنتُمْ لَهَا وَارِدُونَ (21:98)21:98 (Picktall) Lo! ye (idolaters) and that which ye worship beside Allah are fuel of hell. Thereunto ye will come. -لَوْ كَانَ هَؤُلَاء آلِهَةً مَّا وَرَدُوهَا وَكُلٌّ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ (21:99)21:99 (Picktall) If these had been Gods they would not have come thither, but all wilt abide therein. -لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَفِيرٌ وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يَسْمَعُونَ (21:100)21:100 (Picktall) Therein wailing is their portion, and therein they hear not. -
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُم مِّنَّا الْحُسْنَى أُوْلَئِكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ (21:101)21:101 (Picktall) Lo! those unto whom kindness hath gone forth before from Us, they wilt be far removed from thence. -
لَا يَسْمَعُونَ حَسِيسَهَا وَهُمْ فِي مَا اشْتَهَتْ أَنفُسُهُمْ خَالِدُونَ (21:102)21:102 (Picktall) They will not hear the slightest sound thereof, while they abide in that which their souls desire. -لَا يَحْزُنُهُمُ الْفَزَعُ الْأَكْبَرُ وَتَتَلَقَّاهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ هَذَا يَوْمُكُمُ الَّذِي كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ (21:103)21:103 (Picktall) The Supreme Horror will not grieve them, and the angels will welcome them, (saying): This is your Day which ye were promised; -يَوْمَ نَطْوِي السَّمَاء كَطَيِّ السِّجِلِّ لِلْكُتُبِ كَمَا بَدَأْنَا أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُّعِيدُهُ وَعْدًا عَلَيْنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ (21:104)21:104 (Picktall) The Day when We shall roll up the heavens and a recorder rolleth up a written scroll. As We began the first creation, We shall repeat it. (It is) a promise (binding) upon Us. Lo! We are to perform it. -وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِي الزَّبُورِ مِن بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ أَنَّ الْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِيَ الصَّالِحُونَ (21:105)21:105 (Picktall) And verity We have written in the Scripture, after the Reminder: My righteous slaves will inherit the earth: -إِنَّ فِي هَذَا لَبَلَاغًا لِّقَوْمٍ عَابِدِينَ (21:106)21:106 (Picktall) Lo! there is a plain statement for folk who are devout. -وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ (21:107)21:107 (Picktall) We sent thee not save as a mercy for the peoples. -
قُلْ إِنَّمَا يُوحَى إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ (21:108)21:108 (Picktall) Say: It is only inspired in me that your God is One God. Will ye then surrender (unto Him)! -فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ آذَنتُكُمْ عَلَى سَوَاء وَإِنْ أَدْرِي أَقَرِيبٌ أَم بَعِيدٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ (21:109)21:109 (Picktall) But if they are averse, then say: I have warned you all alike, although I know not whether nigh or far is that which ye are promised. -
إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْتُمُونَ (21:110)21:110 (Picktall) Lo! He knoweth that which is said openly, and that which ye conceal. -
وَإِنْ أَدْرِي لَعَلَّهُ فِتْنَةٌ لَّكُمْ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَى حِينٍ (21:111)21:111 (Picktall) And I know not but that this may be a trial for you, and enjoyment for a while. - قَالَ رَبِّ احْكُم بِالْحَقِّ وَرَبُّنَا الرَّحْمَنُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ عَلَى مَا تَصِفُونَ (21:112)21:112 (Picktall) He saith: My Lord! Judge Thou with truth. Our Lord is the Beneficent, whose help is to be implored against that which ye ascribe (unto Him). -
اقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مَّعْرِضُونَ (21:1)21:1 (Picktall) Their reckoning draweth nigh for mankind, while they turn away in heedlessness.
مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مَّن رَّبِّهِم مُّحْدَثٍ إِلَّا اسْتَمَعُوهُ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ (21:2)21:2 (Picktall) Never cometh there unto them a new reminder from their Lord but they listen to it while they play. -
لَاهِيَةً قُلُوبُهُمْ وَأَسَرُّواْ النَّجْوَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ هَلْ هَذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ أَفَتَأْتُونَ السِّحْرَ وَأَنتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ (21:3)21:3 (Picktall) With hearts preoccupied. And they confer in secret The wrong-doers say: Is this other than a mortal like you? Will ye then succumb to magic when ye see (it)? -
قَالَ رَبِّي يَعْلَمُ الْقَوْلَ فِي السَّمَاء وَالأَرْضِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ (21:4)21:4 (Picktall) He saith: My Lord knoweth what is spoken in the heaven and the earth. He is the Hearer, the Knower. -
بَلْ قَالُواْ أَضْغَاثُ أَحْلاَمٍ بَلِ افْتَرَاهُ بَلْ هُوَ شَاعِرٌ فَلْيَأْتِنَا بِآيَةٍ كَمَا أُرْسِلَ الأَوَّلُونَ (21:5)21:5 (Picktall) Nay, say they, (these are but) muddled dreams; nay, he hath but invented it; nay, he is but a poet. Let him bring us a portent even as those of old (who were God's messengers) were sent (with portents). -
مَا آمَنَتْ قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا أَفَهُمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ (21:6)21:6 (Picktall) Not a township believed of those which We destroyed before them (though We sent them portents): would they then believe? -
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ إِلاَّ رِجَالاً نُّوحِي إِلَيْهِمْ فَاسْأَلُواْ أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِن كُنتُمْ لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ (21:7)21:7 (Picktall) And We sent not (as Our messengers) before thee other than men whom We inspired. Ask the followers of the Reminder if ye know not? -
وَمَا جَعَلْنَاهُمْ جَسَدًا لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ الطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا خَالِدِينَ (21:8)21:8 (Picktall) We gave them not bodies that would not eat food, nor were they immortals. -
ثُمَّ صَدَقْنَاهُمُ الْوَعْدَ فَأَنجَيْنَاهُمْ وَمَن نَّشَاء وَأَهْلَكْنَا الْمُسْرِفِينَ (21:9)21:9 (Picktall) Then We fulfilled the promise unto them. So We delivered them and whom We would, and We destroyed the prodigals. -
لَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ كِتَابًا فِيهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ (21:10)21:10 (Picktall) Now We have revealed unto you a Scripture wherein is your Reminder. Have ye then no sense? -
وَكَمْ قَصَمْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ كَانَتْ ظَالِمَةً وَأَنشَأْنَا بَعْدَهَا قَوْمًا آخَرِينَ (21:11)21:11 (Picktall) How many a community that dealt unjustly have We shattered, and raised up after them another folk! -
فَلَمَّا أَحَسُّوا بَأْسَنَا إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَرْكُضُونَ (21:12)21:12 (Picktall) And, when they felt Our might, behold them fleeing from it! -
لَا تَرْكُضُوا وَارْجِعُوا إِلَى مَا أُتْرِفْتُمْ فِيهِ وَمَسَاكِنِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْأَلُونَ (21:13)21:13 (Picktall) (But it was said unto them): Flee not, but return to that (existence) which emasculated you and to your dwellings, that ye may be questioned. -
قَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ (21:14)21:14 (Picktall) They cried: Alas for us! Lo! we were wrongdoers. -
فَمَا زَالَت تِّلْكَ دَعْوَاهُمْ حَتَّى جَعَلْنَاهُمْ حَصِيدًا خَامِدِينَ (21:15)21:15 (Picktall) And this their crying ceased not till We made them as reaped corn, extinct. -
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاء وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَاعِبِينَ (21:16)21:16 (Picktall) We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them in play. -
لَوْ أَرَدْنَا أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَّاتَّخَذْنَاهُ مِن لَّدُنَّا إِن كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ (21:17)21:17 (Picktall) If We had wished to find a pastime, We could have found it in Our presence if We ever did. -
بَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِالْحَقِّ عَلَى الْبَاطِلِ فَيَدْمَغُهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌ وَلَكُمُ الْوَيْلُ مِمَّا تَصِفُونَ (21:18)21:18 (Picktall) Nay, but We hurl the true against the false, and it doth break its head and lo! it vanisheth. And yours will be woe for that which ye ascribe (unto Him). -
وَلَهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ عِندَهُ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِ وَلَا يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ (21:19)21:19 (Picktall) Unto Him belongeth whosoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those who dwell in His presence are not too proud to worship Him nor do they weary; -
يُسَبِّحُونَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ لَا يَفْتُرُونَ (21:20)21:20 (Picktall) They glorify (Him) night and day; they flag not. -
أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا آلِهَةً مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ هُمْ يُنشِرُونَ (21:21)21:21 (Picktall) Or have they chosen Gods from the earth who raise the dead? -
لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمَا آلِهَةٌ إِلَّا اللَّهُ لَفَسَدَتَا فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ (21:22)21:22 (Picktall) If there were therein Gods beside Allah, then verily both (the heavens and the earth) had been disordered. Glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Throne, from all that they ascribe (unto Him). -
لَا يُسْأَلُ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ يُسْأَلُونَ (21:23)21:23 (Picktall) He will not be questioned as to that which He doeth, but they will be questioned.
أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِهِ آلِهَةً قُلْ هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ هَذَا ذِكْرُ مَن مَّعِيَ وَذِكْرُ مَن قَبْلِي بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ الْحَقَّ فَهُم مُّعْرِضُونَ (21:24)21:24 (Picktall) Or have they chosen other gods beside Him? Say: Bring your proof (of their godhead). This is the Reminder of those with me and those before me, but most of them know not the Truth and so they are averse. -
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا نُوحِي إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدُونِ (21:25)21:25 (Picktall) And We sent no messenger before thee but We inspired him, (saying): There is no God save Me (Allah), so worship Me. -
وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمَنُ وَلَدًا سُبْحَانَهُ بَلْ عِبَادٌ مُّكْرَمُونَ (21:26)21:26 (Picktall) And they say: The Beneficent hath taken unto Himself a son. Be He glorified! Nay, but (those whom they call sons) are honored slaves;
لَا يَسْبِقُونَهُ بِالْقَوْلِ وَهُم بِأَمْرِهِ يَعْمَلُونَ (21:27)21:27 (Picktall) They speak not until He hath spoken, and they act by His command. -
يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَلَا يَشْفَعُونَ إِلَّا لِمَنِ ارْتَضَى وَهُم مِّنْ خَشْيَتِهِ مُشْفِقُونَ (21:28)21:28 (Picktall) He knoweth what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot intercede except for him whom He accepteth, and they quake for awe of Him. -وَمَن يَقُلْ مِنْهُمْ إِنِّي إِلَهٌ مِّن دُونِهِ فَذَلِكَ نَجْزِيهِ جَهَنَّمَ كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِمِينَ (21:2921:29 (Picktall) And one of them who should say: Lo! I am a God beside Him, that one We should repay with hell. Thus We repay wrong-doers. -أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَاهُمَا وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاء كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ (21:30)21:30 (Picktall) Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and We made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe? -وَجَعَلْنَا فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِهِمْ وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا فِجَاجًا سُبُلًا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ (21:31)21:31 (Picktall) And We have placed in the earth firm hills lest it quake with them, and We have placed therein ravines as roads that haply they may find their way. -وَجَعَلْنَا السَّمَاء سَقْفًا مَّحْفُوظًا وَهُمْ عَنْ آيَاتِهَا مُعْرِضُونَ (21:32)21:32 (Picktall) And We have made the sky a roof withheld (from them). Yet they turn away from its portents. -وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ (21:33)21:33 (Picktall) And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They float, each in an orbit. -وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ الْخُلْدَ أَفَإِن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ الْخَالِدُونَ (21:34)21:34 (Picktall) We appointed immortality for no mortal before thee. What! if thou diest, can they be immortal? -كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ وَنَبْلُوكُم بِالشَّرِّ وَالْخَيْرِ فِتْنَةً وَإِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ (21:35)21:35 (Picktall) Every soul must taste of death, and We try you with evil and with good, for ordeal. And unto Us ye will be returned. -وَإِذَا رَآكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَذَا الَّذِي يَذْكُرُ آلِهَتَكُمْ وَهُم بِذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَنِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ (21:36)21:36 (Picktall) And when those who disbelieve behold thee, they but choose thee out for mockery, (saying): Is this he who maketh mention of your gods? And they would deny all mention of the Beneficent. -خُلِقَ الْإِنسَانُ مِنْ عَجَلٍ سَأُرِيكُمْ آيَاتِي فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونِ (21:37)21:37 (Picktall) Man is made of haste. I shall show you My portents, but ask Me not to hasten. -
وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ (21:38)21:38 (Picktall) And they say: When will this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? -
لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا حِينَ لَا يَكُفُّونَ عَن وُجُوهِهِمُ النَّارَ وَلَا عَن ظُهُورِهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ (21:39)21:39 (Picktall) If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not be able to drive off the fire from their faces and from their backs, and they will not be helped! -بَلْ تَأْتِيهِم بَغْتَةً فَتَبْهَتُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ رَدَّهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ (21:40)21:40 (Picktall) Nay, but it will come upon them unawares so that it will stupefy them, and they will be unable to repel it, neither will they be reprieved. -وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُون (21:41)21:41 (Picktall) Messengers before thee, indeed, were mocked, but that whereat they mocked surrounded those who scoffed at them. -قُلْ مَن يَكْلَؤُكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مِنَ الرَّحْمَنِ بَلْ هُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ رَبِّهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ (21:42)21:42 (Picktall) Say: Who guardeth you in the night or in the day from the Beneficent? Nay, but they turn away from mention of their Lord, -أَمْ لَهُمْ آلِهَةٌ تَمْنَعُهُم مِّن دُونِنَا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَا هُم مِّنَّا يُصْحَبُونَ (21:43)21:43 (Picktall) Or have they gods who can shield them from Us? They cannot help themselves nor can they be defended from Us. -بَلْ مَتَّعْنَا هَؤُلَاء وَآبَاءهُمْ حَتَّى طَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعُمُرُ أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّا نَأْتِي الْأَرْضَ نَنقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا أَفَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ (21:44)21:44 (Picktall) Nay, but We gave these and their fathers ease until life grew long for them. See they not how we visit the land, reducing it of its outlying parts? Can they then be the victors? -
قُلْ إِنَّمَا أُنذِرُكُم بِالْوَحْيِ وَلَا يَسْمَعُ الصُّمُّ الدُّعَاء إِذَا مَا يُنذَرُونَ (21:45)21:45 (Picktall) Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I warn you only by the Inspiration. But the deaf hear not the call when they are warned. -وَلَئِن مَّسَّتْهُمْ نَفْحَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ (21:46)21:46 (Picktall) And if a breath of thy Lord's punishment were to touch them, they assuredly would say: Alas for us! Lo! we were wrong-doers. -وَنَضَعُ الْمَوَازِينَ الْقِسْطَ لِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَلَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْئًا وَإِن كَانَ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِّنْ خَرْدَلٍ أَتَيْنَا بِهَا وَكَفَى بِنَا حَاسِبِينَ (21:47) 21:47 (Picktall) And We set a just balance for the Day of Resurrection so that no soul is wronged in aught. Though it be of the weight of a grain of mustard seed, We bring it. And We suffice for reckoners. -
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى وَهَارُونَ الْفُرْقَانَ وَضِيَاء وَذِكْرًا لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ (21:48)21:48 (Picktall) And We verily gave Moses and Aaron the Criterion (of right and wrong) and a light and a Reminder for those who keep from evil-- -الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَيْبِ وَهُم مِّنَ السَّاعَةِ مُشْفِقُونَ (21:49)21:49 (Picktall) Those who fear their Lord in secret and who dread the Hour (of doom). -وَهَذَا ذِكْرٌ مُّبَارَكٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ أَفَأَنتُمْ لَهُ مُنكِرُونَ (21:50)21:50 (Picktall) This is a blessed Reminder that We have revealed: Will ye then reject it? -
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ رُشْدَهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا بِه عَالِمِينَ (21:51)21:51 (Picktall) And We verily gave Abraham of old his proper course, and We were Aware of him, -إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا هَذِهِ التَّمَاثِيلُ الَّتِي أَنتُمْ لَهَا عَاكِفُونَ (21:52)21:52 (Picktall) When he said unto his father and his folk: What are these images unto which ye pay devotion? -قَالُوا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءنَا لَهَا عَابِدِينَ (21:53)21:53 (Picktall) They said: We found our fathers worshippers of them. -قَالَ لَقَدْ كُنتُمْ أَنتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمْ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ (21:54)21:54 (Picktall) He said: Verily ye and your fathers were in plain error. -
قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا بِالْحَقِّ أَمْ أَنتَ مِنَ اللَّاعِبِينَ (21:55)21:55 (Picktall) They said: Bringest thou unto us the truth, or art thou some jester? -قَالَ بَل رَّبُّكُمْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ الَّذِي فَطَرَهُنَّ وَأَنَا عَلَى ذَلِكُم مِّنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ (21:56)21:56 (Picktall) He said: Nay, but your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Who created them; and I am of those who testify unto that.
وَتَاللَّهِ لَأَكِيدَنَّ أَصْنَامَكُم بَعْدَ أَن تُوَلُّوا مُدْبِرِينَ (21:57)21:57 (Picktall) And, by Allah, I shall circumvent your idols after ye have gone away and turned your backs. -فَجَعَلَهُمْ جُذَاذًا إِلَّا كَبِيرًا لَّهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ يَرْجِعُونَ (21:58)21:58 (Picktall) Then he reduced them to fragments, all save the chief of them, that haply they might have recourse to it. -قَالُوا مَن فَعَلَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ (21:59)21:59 (Picktall) They said: Who hath done this to our gods? Surely it must be some evil-doer. -
قَالُوا سَمِعْنَا فَتًى يَذْكُرُهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ (21:60)21:60 (Picktall) They said: We heard a youth make mention of them, who is called Abraham. -
قَالُوا فَأْتُوا بِهِ عَلَى أَعْيُنِ النَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْهَدُونَ (21:61)21:61 (Picktall) They said: Then bring him (hither) before the people's eyes that they may testify. -قَالُوا أَأَنتَ فَعَلْتَ هَذَا بِآلِهَتِنَا يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ (21:62)21:62 (Picktall) They said: Is it thou who hast done this to our gods, O Abraham? - قَالَ بَلْ فَعَلَهُ كَبِيرُهُمْ هَذَا فَاسْأَلُوهُمْ إِن كَانُوا يَنطِقُونَ (21:63)
21:63 (Picktall) He said: But this, their chief hath done it. So question them, if they can speak. -
فَرَجَعُوا إِلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ فَقَالُوا إِنَّكُمْ أَنتُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ (21:64)21:64 (Picktall) Then gathered they apart and said: Lo! ye yourselves are the wrong doers. -
ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا عَلَى رُؤُوسِهِمْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا هَؤُلَاء يَنطِقُونَ (21:65)21:65 (Picktall) And they were utterly confounded, and they said: Well thou knowest that these speak not. -
قَالَ أَفَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ (21:66)21:66 (Picktall) He said: Worship ye then instead of Allah that which cannot profit you at all, nor harm you? -أُفٍّ لَّكُمْ وَلِمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ (21:67)21:67 (Picktall) Fie on you and all that ye worship instead of Allah! Have ye then no sense? -
قَالُوا حَرِّقُوهُ وَانصُرُوا آلِهَتَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ (21:68)21:68 (Picktall) They cried: Burn him and stand by your gods, if ye will be doing. -
قُلْنَا يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ (21:69)21:69 (Picktall) We said: O fire, be coolness and peace for Abraham. -
وَأَرَادُوا بِهِ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَاهُمُ الْأَخْسَرِينَ (21:70)21:70 (Picktall) And they wished to set a snare for him, but We made them the greater losers. -
وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَلُوطًا إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا لِلْعَالَمِينَ (21:71)21:71 (Picktall) And We rescued him and Lot (and brought them) to the land which We have blessed for (all) peoples. -
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ نَافِلَةً وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا صَالِحِينَ (21:72)21:72 (Picktall) And We bestowed upon him Isaac, and Jacob as a grandson. Each of them We made righteous. -وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَإِقَامَ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَاء الزَّكَاةِ وَكَانُوا لَنَا عَابِدِينَ (21:73)21:73 (Picktall) And We made them chiefs who guide by Our command, and We inspired in them the doing of good deeds and the right establishment of worship and the giving of alms and they were worshippers of Us (alone). -وَلُوطًا آتَيْنَاهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي كَانَت تَّعْمَلُ الْخَبَائِثَ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَاسِقِينَ (21:74)21:74 (Picktall) And unto Lot We gave judgment and knowledge, and We delivered him from the community that did abominations. Lo! they were folk of evil, lewd.وَأَدْخَلْنَاهُ فِي رَحْمَتِنَا إِنَّهُ مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ (21:75)21:75 (Picktall) And We brought him in unto Our mercy. Lo! he was of the righteous. -
وَنُوحًا إِذْ نَادَى مِن قَبْلُ فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ فَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ مِنَ الْكَرْبِ الْعَظِيمِ (21:76)21:76 (Picktall) And Noah, when he cried of old, We heard his prayer and saved him and his household from the great affliction. -وَنَصَرْنَاهُ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ (21:77)21:77 (Picktall) And delivered him from the people who denied Our revelations. Lo! they were folk of evil, therefor did We drown them all. -
وَدَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ إِذْ يَحْكُمَانِ فِي الْحَرْثِ إِذْ نَفَشَتْ فِيهِ غَنَمُ الْقَوْمِ وَكُنَّا لِحُكْمِهِمْ شَاهِدِينَ (21:78)21:78 (Picktall) And David and Solomon, when they gave judgment concerning the field, when people's sheep had strayed and browsed therein by night; and We were witnesses to their judgment. -
فَفَهَّمْنَاهَا سُلَيْمَانَ وَكُلًّا آتَيْنَا حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَسَخَّرْنَا مَعَ دَاوُودَ الْجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحْنَ وَالطَّيْرَ وَكُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ (21:79)21:79 (Picktall) And We made Solomon to understand (the case); and unto each of them We gave judgment and knowledge. And We subdued the hills and the birds to hymn (His) praise along with David. We were the doers (thereof). -وَعَلَّمْنَاهُ صَنْعَةَ لَبُوسٍ لَّكُمْ لِتُحْصِنَكُم مِّن بَأْسِكُمْ فَهَلْ أَنتُمْ شَاكِرُونَ (21:80)21:80 (Picktall) And We taught him the art of making garments (of mail) to protect you in your daring. Are ye then thankful? -وَلِسُلَيْمَانَ الرِّيحَ عَاصِفَةً تَجْرِي بِأَمْرِهِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الَّتِي بَارَكْنَا فِيهَا وَكُنَّا بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَالِمِينَ (21:81) 21:81 (Picktall) And unto Solomon (We subdued) the wind in its raging. It set by His command toward the land which We had blessed. And of everything We are aware. -وَمِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ مَن يَغُوصُونَ لَهُ وَيَعْمَلُونَ عَمَلًا دُونَ ذَلِكَ وَكُنَّا لَهُمْ حَافِظِينَ (21:82)21:82 (Picktall) And of the evil ones (subdued We unto him) some who dived (for pearls) for him and did other work, and We were warders unto them. -وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ (21:83)21:83 (Picktall) And Job, when he cried unto his Lord, (saying): Lo! adversity afflicteth me, and Thou art Most Merciful of all who show mercy. -
فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ فَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِ مِن ضُرٍّ وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُم مَّعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِّنْ عِندِنَا وَذِكْرَى لِلْعَابِدِينَ (21:84)21:84 (Picktall) Then We heard his prayer and removed that adversity from which he suffered, and We gave him his household (that he had lost) and the like thereof along with them, a mercy from Our store, and a remembrance for the worshippers; -
وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِدْرِيسَ وَذَا الْكِفْلِ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الصَّابِرِينَ (21:85)21:85 (Picktall) And (mention) Ishmael, and Idris, and Dhul-Kifl. All were of the steadfast. -
وَأَدْخَلْنَاهُمْ فِي رَحْمَتِنَا إِنَّهُم مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ (21:86)21:86 (Picktall) And We brought them in unto Our mercy. Lo! they are among the righteous. -
وَذَا النُّونِ إِذ ذَّهَبَ مُغَاضِبًا فَظَنَّ أَن لَّن نَّقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ فَنَادَى فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ أَن لَّا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ (21:87)21:87 (Picktall) And (mention) Dhun Nun (prophet Jonah), when he went off in anger and deemed that We had no power over him, but he cried out in the darkness, saying: There is no God save Thee. Be Thou glorified! I have been a wrong-doer. -فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْغَمِّ وَكَذَلِكَ نُنجِي الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (21:88)21:88 (Picktall) Then We heard his prayer and saved him from the anguish. Thus We save believers. -
وَزَكَرِيَّا إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِي فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ (21:89)21:89 (Picktall) And Zachariah, when he cried unto his Lord: My Lord! Leave me not childless, though Thou art the best of inheritors. -فَاسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ يَحْيَى وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُ زَوْجَهُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا وَكَانُوا لَنَا خَاشِعِينَ (21:90) 21:90 (Picktall) Then We heard his prayer, and bestowed upon him John, and adjusted his wife (to bear a child) for him. Lo! they used to vie one with the other in good deeds, and they cried unto Us in longing and in fear, and were submissive unto Us. -وَالَّتِي أَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيهَا مِن رُّوحِنَا وَجَعَلْنَاهَا وَابْنَهَا آيَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ (21:91)21:91 (Picktall) And she who was chaste, therefor We breathed into her (something) of Our spirit and made her and her son a token for (all) peoples.إِنَّ هَذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُونِ (21:92)21:92 (Picktall) Lo! this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me. -
وَتَقَطَّعُوا أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ كُلٌّ إِلَيْنَا رَاجِعُونَ (21:93)21:93 (Picktall) And they have broken their religion (into fragments) among them, (yet) all are returning unto Us. -فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ الصَّالِحَاتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَا كُفْرَانَ لِسَعْيِهِ وَإِنَّا لَهُ كَاتِبُونَ (21:94)21:94 (Picktall) Then whoso doeth good works and is a believer, there will be no rejection of his effort. Lo! We record (it) for him. -وَحَرَامٌ عَلَى قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا أَنَّهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ (21:95)21:95 (Picktall) And there is a ban upon any community which We have destroyed: that they shall not return, -
حَتَّى إِذَا فُتِحَتْ يَأْجُوجُ وَمَأْجُوجُ وَهُم مِّن كُلِّ حَدَبٍ يَنسِلُونَ (21:96)21:96 (Picktall) Until, when Gog and Magog are let loose, and they hasten out of every mound.وَاقْتَرَبَ الْوَعْدُ الْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِيَ شَاخِصَةٌ أَبْصَارُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ (21:97)21:97 (Picktall) And the True Promise draweth nigh; then behold them, staring wide (in terror), the eyes of those who disbelieve! (They say): Alas for us! We (lived) in forgetfulness of this. Ah, but we were wrong doers! -
إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ أَنتُمْ لَهَا وَارِدُونَ (21:98)21:98 (Picktall) Lo! ye (idolaters) and that which ye worship beside Allah are fuel of hell. Thereunto ye will come. -لَوْ كَانَ هَؤُلَاء آلِهَةً مَّا وَرَدُوهَا وَكُلٌّ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ (21:99)21:99 (Picktall) If these had been Gods they would not have come thither, but all wilt abide therein. -لَهُمْ فِيهَا زَفِيرٌ وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يَسْمَعُونَ (21:100)21:100 (Picktall) Therein wailing is their portion, and therein they hear not. -
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ سَبَقَتْ لَهُم مِّنَّا الْحُسْنَى أُوْلَئِكَ عَنْهَا مُبْعَدُونَ (21:101)21:101 (Picktall) Lo! those unto whom kindness hath gone forth before from Us, they wilt be far removed from thence. -
لَا يَسْمَعُونَ حَسِيسَهَا وَهُمْ فِي مَا اشْتَهَتْ أَنفُسُهُمْ خَالِدُونَ (21:102)21:102 (Picktall) They will not hear the slightest sound thereof, while they abide in that which their souls desire. -لَا يَحْزُنُهُمُ الْفَزَعُ الْأَكْبَرُ وَتَتَلَقَّاهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ هَذَا يَوْمُكُمُ الَّذِي كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ (21:103)21:103 (Picktall) The Supreme Horror will not grieve them, and the angels will welcome them, (saying): This is your Day which ye were promised; -يَوْمَ نَطْوِي السَّمَاء كَطَيِّ السِّجِلِّ لِلْكُتُبِ كَمَا بَدَأْنَا أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُّعِيدُهُ وَعْدًا عَلَيْنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ (21:104)21:104 (Picktall) The Day when We shall roll up the heavens and a recorder rolleth up a written scroll. As We began the first creation, We shall repeat it. (It is) a promise (binding) upon Us. Lo! We are to perform it. -وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِي الزَّبُورِ مِن بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ أَنَّ الْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِيَ الصَّالِحُونَ (21:105)21:105 (Picktall) And verity We have written in the Scripture, after the Reminder: My righteous slaves will inherit the earth: -إِنَّ فِي هَذَا لَبَلَاغًا لِّقَوْمٍ عَابِدِينَ (21:106)21:106 (Picktall) Lo! there is a plain statement for folk who are devout. -وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِّلْعَالَمِينَ (21:107)21:107 (Picktall) We sent thee not save as a mercy for the peoples. -
قُلْ إِنَّمَا يُوحَى إِلَيَّ أَنَّمَا إِلَهُكُمْ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ (21:108)21:108 (Picktall) Say: It is only inspired in me that your God is One God. Will ye then surrender (unto Him)! -فَإِن تَوَلَّوْا فَقُلْ آذَنتُكُمْ عَلَى سَوَاء وَإِنْ أَدْرِي أَقَرِيبٌ أَم بَعِيدٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ (21:109)21:109 (Picktall) But if they are averse, then say: I have warned you all alike, although I know not whether nigh or far is that which ye are promised. -
إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْتُمُونَ (21:110)21:110 (Picktall) Lo! He knoweth that which is said openly, and that which ye conceal. -
وَإِنْ أَدْرِي لَعَلَّهُ فِتْنَةٌ لَّكُمْ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَى حِينٍ (21:111)21:111 (Picktall) And I know not but that this may be a trial for you, and enjoyment for a while. - قَالَ رَبِّ احْكُم بِالْحَقِّ وَرَبُّنَا الرَّحْمَنُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ عَلَى مَا تَصِفُونَ (21:112)21:112 (Picktall) He saith: My Lord! Judge Thou with truth. Our Lord is the Beneficent, whose help is to be implored against that which ye ascribe (unto Him). -

MAKKAH: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah on Saturday described disunity as "the greatest enemy" of Muslims and called upon Islamic scholars across the world to work for unity.
In his keynote speech at the opening of an international Islamic conference here, he commended the Muslim World League's (MWL) efforts to spread the message of Islam and confront extremism and terrorism.
"Disunity is the beginning of downfall ... rather it is the greatest enemy of people ... Muslims should beware of division and improve their relations," he said quoting a speech made by King Abdul Aziz at the first Makkah conference 86 years ago.
Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Prince Naif opened the three-day conference, organized by the MWL to mark its 50th anniversary, on behalf of King Abdullah and read out the king's speech.
King Abdullah wished success for the conference, which will review the MWL's activities and programs and set out its future strategy. It will also discuss the situation of Muslim minorities in different parts of the world and the problems facing them.
The king urged participating scholars to focus on three important issues: spreading the moderate teachings of Islam, strengthening Muslim unity by improving their relations and trying to solve problems facing the world.
"We are happy over the contributions made by the MWL to treat Muslims’ problems, unify their ranks, spread the true picture of Islam and confront epidemics such as extremism and terrorism that have sneaked into some Muslim societies," the king said.
King Abdullah also noted the organization's efforts in promoting dialogue between religious faiths and cultures. He was apparently referring to the MWL's role in organizing the international interfaith dialogue conferences in Makkah, Madrid and Geneva.
The king's speech referred to Saudi Arabia's efforts to strengthen Muslim unity and solidarity. "Ever since its formation, the Kingdom has given priority to Muslim unity. Our father King Abdul Aziz said he loved Muslim unity more than anything else."
The MWL's activities conformed to the Kingdom's policies and objectives. "No doubt the MWL has won a reputable position among international organizations and received the messenger of peace certificate from the United Nations," the speech said.
Prince Naif honored the people who contributed to the establishment of MWL. Baha Gov. Prince Muhammad bin Saud received a commemorative shield on the occasion. Prince Naif also distributed shields to previous MWL secretaries and prominent Islamic personalities.
MWL Secretary-General Abdullah Al-Turki thanked the Saudi government for its constant support for the organization. "The MWL has become an international organization. It would not have achieved this stature without the Saudi government's support," he said. The MWL was established in 1960 during the reign of King Saud.
The conference will focus on four main topics: MWL's contributions in the past 50 years; MWL's position in the world; MWL and Islamic issues; and MWL's efforts to establish a better future for Muslim communities.

Abdullah, the king of Saudi wants unity of Muslim world. OK let us see what Al Saud family stands for:
1- The crazy Saddam they supported him for 8 years with Iran and did not try to make peace between them. He is just looking for what his masters want. Same apply to Mubarak.
2- When the crazy Saddam attacked Kuwait they were the main force to get him demolished by the west. He was their dog and they now felt he is getting to bite them.
3- When Bush, went to Iraq to destroy it for sake of oil and domination with false pretense of freedom they stood with him and actually was pushing for that.
4- After they know from the American government that I could be Al Mahdi Al Muntazer they blocked me everywhere not to be known in Saudi or other Muslim countries and actually they are competing with me as the moderates now. Last thing when they knew that I will be coming to Saudi Arabia they worked with the enemies of Islam to get my passport stolen from my own apartment. Give them a simple test ask them to denounce me publicly as I am Al Mahdi Al Muntazer they would be afraid to do it since they a lot of attention will be focused on me. They want to hold to their power and money like a dog holding to a piece of bone and would not let anyone to take it out of his mouth.
5- The American government know that they could not deliver and the masses had it with them and their scholars who sold their religion will be in very bad shape when the masses would realize that I am Al Mahdi al Muntazer and they are standing against me.
6- The west would rather see me govern and not them since they discovered that they are a great liability to them. It is all about politics and interest.
Thus the unity of Muslims will be coming after we take over your kingdom and Muslims govern themselves. They still believe that Al Mahdi prophecy is a paranoia a single man will rise up in one day and change the world.
Wait and see.
