In this small sura in Quran Al Teen (The Fig) ; only 8 verses God give us the history and reality of religion. In the first verse God swears by the fig and olive of the holy lands of his messages (note God swears by his creation, but as his servants we swear by his names only). He then swear by Mount of Sinai and Mecca the two of most holy places.
Then God explain religion very simply man was created with the best in his heart to identify God, to love the good and to feel spirituality towards the creator. Notice the innocence of young children and the look in their faces and compare that by the wickedness in the behavior and faces of some adults. When we arrogantly try to keep away from the simple call inside ourselves to live by God and be righteous we give in to be lower than animals.
The exception is those who believed and did the righteous deeds to prove it. They will have a great reward. God asks as many times he does in the Quran the question of affirmation: Is not he the wisest of judges?.
95:1 By the Fig and the Olive, وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ
95:2 And the Mount of Sinai, وَطُورِ سِينِينَ
95:3 And this City of security (Mecca),- وَهَذَا الْبَلَدِ الْأَمِينِ
95:4 We have indeed created man in the best of moulds, لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ
95:5 Then do We abase him (to be) the lowest of the low,- ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ
95:6 Except such as believe and do righteous deeds: For they shall have a reward unfailing.إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ
95:7 Then what can, after this, contradict thee, as to the judgment (to come)? فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّينِ
95:8 Is not Allah the wisest of judges? أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ
