بحث حكومي: الشرطة والمرور والتضامن الاجتماعي الأكثر فسادا وتلقى الرشاوى في مصر
البحث يؤكد: 92% من المواطنين دفعوا رشوة لتيسر الحصول على الخدمات الحكومية
و63% من المواطنين يرون أن القانون لا يطبق على الجميع.. و70% يعتبرون أن الفساد زاد
تقرير حكومي: 2 مليار جنيه من الدعم تذهب لحيتان الحديد سنويا.. وأكثر من 6 مليارات لحيتان الأسمنت
كشف أول مسح قومى لأراء المواطنين حول الفساد أن 92% من المواطنين يرون أن دفع الرشوة أو الإكرامية سوف تيسر عليهم الانتهاء من الحصول على الخدمة من داخل الوحدة الحكومية التي يتعاملون معها، وأشار البحث إلى أن 8 من كل 10 مواطنين يرون أن مظاهر الفساد موجودة في المجتمع المصري. ورأى 63% من المبحوثين أن القانون لا يطبق بمساواة على الجميع، في حين يرى 49% من المبحوثين أن من يخالف القانون يحاسب ويعاقب أيا كان مركزه.. وأشار المسح الذي أعلنه مركز العقد الاجتماعي بمركز معلومات مجلس الوزراء اليوم أن 61% من المبحوثين يرون أن مسئولية انتشار الفساد تقع على عاتق الموظفين في الخدمات الحكومية يليهم كبار المسئولين.
وأشار المبحوثين أن إدارة المرور على رأس قائمة الجهات التي يروا أن الرشاوى والإكراميات تنتشر بها بنسبة 67% وتساوت معها خدمات تراخيص البناء.. وجاءت خدمات الشرطة خارج أو داخل الأقسام في المرتبة الثانية بنسبة 60% ثم خدمات ترخيص مزاولة نشاط بنسبة 55% والخدمات الصحية 53%، وخدمات الكهرباء 52% ؟،والصرف الصحي ومياه الشرب بنسبة 51%، تأتى بعد ذلك إدارة أملاك الدولة والضرائب بنسبة 49% ثم خدمات القضاء والمحاكم بنسبة 45% تليها خدمات مكتب العمل 42% وأخيرا خدمات التضامن الاجتماعي والتعليم بنسبة 40% و 39% لكليهما على التوالي.

وحول أكثر الجهات التي تم دفع الرشاوى بها من قبل المبحوثين بشكل فعلي جاءت إدارات المرور في المرتبة الأولى.. وأشار 52 % من المبحوثين أنهم دفعوا رشاوى بشكل فعلي داخلها واحتلت خدمات الشرطة المرتبة الثانية للأماكن التي دفع فيها المواطنين رشاوى بنسبة 40% من المبحوثين.

وبالنسبة لتقييم جودة الخدمات الحكومية التي حصل عليها المواطنين في عينة البحث قال المبحوثون أنهم حصلوا على خدماتهم في مدة زمنية مناسبة في خدمات التضامن الاجتماعي والخدمات التعليمية وخدمات الكهرباء وخدمات المياه والصرف الصحي

وبالنسبة للخدمات الأكثر تعقيدا أشار المسح أن خدمات التضامن الاجتماعي وخدمات الشرطة وخدمات المرور هي أكثر الخدمات تعقيدا في الإجراءات وأوضح المسح أن 30% من المواطنين يرون أن موظف الحكومة هو الذي يقوم بطلب الرشوة صراحة من المواطن ، بينما أشار 16% أن المواطن هو الذي يبادر بدفع الرشوة وأشار41% أن العملية معروفه مسبقا وتتم بشكل تلقائي بين الموظف والمواطن والذي يقوم بدفع الرشوة دون طلب مسبق ويقبلها الموظف

وأوضح البحث أن 85% من المواطنين يروا أن مظاهر الفساد المختلفة موجودة في المجتمع المصري مقابل 8% لا يرون ذلك .

وعن مدى انتشار الفساد يرى 70% من المبحوثين أن الفساد زاد أو زاد جدا في مجتمعنا خلال العام الماضى و19% يرون أنه لم يتغير ، بينما 3% فقط يرون أنه إنخفض ، و3% أيضا يرون أنه لا يوجد فساد .

ويرى غالبية المبحوثين 94% أن الفساد أصبح مشكلة كبيرة جدا في المجتمع

و92% موافقين على أن الفساد أصبح جزءا من حياتنا ولا يمكننا إنكار وجوده، و55% موافقين على أن الفساد لا يمكننا مقاومته

وحول مكافحة الفساد أشار أكثر من ثلاث أرباع المواطنين 77% أنهم لا يعرفون إجراءات أو الجهات المنوط بها تلقى البلاغات الخاصة بالفساد ، وتشير نتائج المسح أن 11% تعرضوا أو شاهدوا بالفعل واقعة فساد من أحد موظفي الحكومة، خلال الثلاثة سنوات الماضية و4% فقط من إجمالي العينة قاموا بالفعل هم أو أحد أفراد أسرهم بالإبلاغ عن واقعة فساد، و4% فقط يعرفون كل الجهات الرقابية العاملة في مجال مكافحة الفساد بينما 34% لا يعرفون أي جهة رقابية، وأكثر الجهات الرقابية التي يعرفها المبحوثين هي مباحث أمن الأموال العامة بنسبة 54% ونيابة الأموال العامة بنسبة 53% بينما كانت أكثر جهة رقابية لا يعرفها المبحوثين هي الجهاز المركزي للتنظيم والإدارة.

ويرى نصف المبحوثين، حوالي 52%، إن هذه الجهة تقوم بدورها في مكافحة الفساد بشكل كاف. وأشار 63% إلى أن القانون لا يطبق بمساواة على الجميع

كما أشارت نتائج البحث إلى إحجام المواطنين عن اللجوء للقضاء حيث أن نسبة الذين احتاجوا إلى رفع دعاوى قضائية خلال الثلاث سنوات الماضية هي 3% فقط بينما أشار 1 % فقط إلى أنهم احتاجوا إلى رفع قضية ولكنهم أحجموا.

وأهم العقبات التي تحول دون اللجوء للقضاء هي أتعاب المحامين بنسبة 73% ، ومدة إجراءات التقاضي بنسبة 63%

وتشير نتائج المسح إلى أن ما يقرب من 7 من 10 مواطنين يعتقدون أن الفساد قد زاد خلال العام الماضى اى حوالي 70% من المواطنين وذلك مقابل 19% قالوا انه لم يحدث تغيير عن الماضى و3% فقط أشاروا إلى أنه انخفض.

أما عن دور المؤسسات المختلفة في مكافحة الفساد فقد جاءت المحاكم في مقدمة الجهات التي ساهمت في مكافحة الفساد وذلك من وجهة نظر المواطنين ثم وسائل الإعلام 42%، بينما جاءت الجمعيات الأهلية في أخر القائمة بنسبة 18%

وأشار 49% من المواطنين المبحوثين أن الحكومة المصرية ليس لديها رغبة في مكافحة الفساد بينما وذلك مقارنة 47% والذين قالوا إن جهود الحكومة فعالة ولها تأثير في مكافحة الفساد

وحول اللجوء للقضاء وافق 49% على أن من يخالف القانون يحاسب ويعاقب أيا كان مركزة مقابل 51% والذين أكدوا أن من يخالف القانون لا يحاسب أو يعاقب.

وتشير نتائج المسح إلى إحجام المبحوثين عن اللجوء إلى القضاء، وبلغت نسبة الذين احتاجوا لرفع دعاوى قضائية خلال السنوات الثلاث الماضية ٣% فقط من العينة، وبلغت نسبة المبحوثين الذين احتاجوا لرفع الدعوى ولكنهم أحجموا ١% من العينة. وأظهر المسح أن أهم العقبات التى تحول دون اللجوء إلى القضاء هى أتعاب المحامين، ومدة إجراءات التقاضى بنسبة ٧٣% و٦٣% على التوالى من وجهة نظر المبحوثين الذين أحجموا عن اللجوء للقضاء.

مسح قومى للفساد
من جانبها، قالت الدكتورة سحر الطويلة، مدير مركز العقد الاجتماعى بمركز المعلومات ودعم اتخاذ القرار، المشرف الإحصائى على المسح، إن هذه الدراسة تعد الوحيدة التى يمكن أن يطلق عليها "مسح قومى" لإدراك المواطنين للفساد فى مصر والخدمات الحكومية.

وأضافت أن الدراسات والمسوح السابقة كان يتم إجراؤها من خلال التليفون، موضحة أنه رغم تأييدها استخدام التليفون كوسيلة بحثية لإجراء المقابلات، إلا أن العينة التى يتم التحدث معها عبر الهاتف لا تمثل المجتمع بأكمله.

وأكدت الطويلة أن العينة تم سحبها بالاعتماد على إطار التعداد السكانى، بالتعاون مع الجهاز المركزى للتعبئة العامة والإحصاء، وهى عينة طبقية عنقودية غطت جميع أنحاء الجمهورية، من خلال التوزيع الفعلى للتعداد.

وأوضحت أنه تمت الاستعانة بالأسئلة التى يتضمنها الاستطلاع الدولى عن الفساد، مع مراعاة اتساقها مع طبيعة المجتمع. وأشارت إلى أن المسح كشف أن المحاكم والقضاء يأتيان على رأس المؤسسات التى يرى المواطنون أنها خط الدفاع الأول ضد الفساد، يليهما الإعلام، ثم النائب العام، وهى نتائج فى غاية الأهمية - حسب تأكيداتها. وأكدت أن ما اتفق عليه جميع المبحوثين أن الفساد أصبح ظاهرة وواقعاً فى حياتنا.

من جانبه، طالب المستشار أحمد رجب، مدير مركز الشفافية بوزارة الاستثمار، بوضع استراتيجية لمدة محددة لمكافحة الفساد على مدى ٥٠ عاما، ولفت إلى أن مصر شهدت تقدما فى مجال مكافحة الفساد يبدأ من عدم إنكار وجود الفساد فى المؤسسات والقطاع الإدارى حتى على مستوى القيادات.

دعم حيتان الحديد والأسمنت
من ناحية أخرى، حذر تقرير صادر عن المجلس القومي للإنتاج والشئون الاقتصادية التابع للمجالس القومية المتخصصة من أن الاستمرار في دعم الغاز الطبيعي خاصة بالنسبة للتصدير للخارج يترتب عليه إهدار الثروة القومية من الغاز واستنزاف غير مبرر لاحتياطياته، موصيا برفع الدعم نهائيا عن تصديره.

وأوضح أن استهلاك الأسمنت من الغاز الطبيعي بلغ 2467 مليون متر مكعب، فيما تبلغ تكلفة الغاز المستخدم لإنتاج طن الأسمنت 17 دولارًا /طن، ويمثل ما تتحمله الدولة من دعم الغاز لكل طن أسمنت نحو 9,4% من أسعار التصدير للأسواق العالمية والتي بلغت نحو 80 دولارا /طن أسمنت.

وقال التقرير إن الدولة تتحمل دعم الأسمنت بمبالغ باهظة، كذلك تتحمل التكاليف البيئية لتصنيعه حيث تقدر التكلفة التي يتحملها الاقتصاد القومي نتيجة تلوث البيئة بغبار الأسمنت بنحو 3440 دولار لكل طن غبار اسمنت ، و30 دولار لكل طن ثاني أكسيد الكربون منبعث من صناعته حيث يبلغ إجمالي ما يتحمله الاقتصاد القومي من أعباء لهذه الصناعة ب 1,2 مليار دولار .

ورأى التقرير أنه لا يوجد مبرر لارتفاع أسعار الأسمنت حيث تبلغ نسبة الإنتاج إلى الاستهلاك 107% مما يعني وجود فائض للتصدير، مشيرا إلى أن نسبة الأسمنت المصدرة للخارج تبلغ 2,9 مليون طن بمعدل نمو تبلغ 40%.

كذلك أشار التقرير إلي أن مصانع الحديد والصلب لا تتحمل التكلفة البيئية الناتجة عن تصنيعه والتي تقدر بنحو 80 دولار لكل طن ثاني أكسيد الكربون منبعث عنه.

وقال إن إجمالي ما تتحمله الدولة نتيجة دعم الغاز الطبيعي وما يتحمله الاقتصاد القومي نتيجة التأثيرات البيئية لصناعة الحديد بنحو 63,5 دولار لكل /طن في المتوسط، ويصل إجمالي ما يتحمله الاقتصاد القومي من أعباء مالية لإنتاج الحديد نحو 387.4 مليون دولار .

وأوضح أن رفع الدعم تدريجيا عن الغاز الطبيعي المستخدم في صناعة الحديد للوصول للأسعار الاقتصادية للغاز لن يؤثر كثيرا في تكلفة الإنتاج .

في سياق متصل، أشار التقرير إلى أن عدد المنازل التي تم توصيل الغاز لها بلغ 3,39 مليون مستهلك في 18 محافظة وبلغت التكلفة الاستثمارية لتمويلها حوالي 6,5 مليار جنيه، ورأى أن الإحلال التدريجي للغاز سيؤدي إلي تحقيق قيمة مضافة للاقتصاد القومي تتمثل في تخفيض الدعم المخصص للبوتاجاز والذي يبلغ 9 مليارات جنيه سنويا.

لكنه رأى أن بيع الغاز الطبيعي حاليا بسعر 1,25 دولار /مليون وحدة حرارية لتوليد الكهرباء يمثل خسارة علي الاقتصاد القومي، وسيؤدي إلى عدم الاستفادة من الطاقة النووية كبديل أكثر جدوى من الغاز الطبيعي في توليد الكهرباء عند استخدامها.

It is amazing how Muslims and Christians have in common: Jesus is the Savior and the Messiah. We both are waiting for his kingdom to fill the earth not the kingdom of Satan and Imperialism we have now. Corruption, injustices and tyranny are filling the earth. Nationalism and patriotism is the old tactics that the powerful and elites use to role the world. National interest is in fact is the interest of the elites, like the war in Iraq for Oil and the corrupt Saudi king and his family. The elites put all of us in fear by having most of the tyrants under the control of the elites. When you are angry against injustices it is a virtue. جاءت مذكرات دونالد رامسفيلد وزير الحرب في الإدارة الأمريكية التي قادها الرئيس بوش الابن و صدرت مؤخرا لتكشف أن المرجع الشيعي الأعلى في العراق علي السيستاني استلم 200 مليون دولار وأصدر فتاوي "دينية" للمساعدة في سقوط العراق في أيدي التحالف الذي تقوده الولايات المتحدة.

و كتب رامسفيلد فصلا عن "علاقاته مع علي السيستاني" كشف فيها عن "قوة" العلاقة التي كانت مرتبطة مع المرجع الشيعي قبل وأثناء وبعد الحرب علي العراق في ربيع 2003.

ونقلت صحيفة "الأسبوع" المصرية في تقرير للزميل سيد أمين عن المذكرات أن رامسفيلد تربطه بالسيستاني علاقة صداقة قديمه ترجع الي عام 1987 عندما التقي معه في المملكة العربية السعودية أثناء إعداد السيستاني لتسلم مهمام المرجعية بعد الخوئي.

"عندما رأيت السيستاني تلاقفني في الأحضان ..وقبلني أكثر من مره بالرغم إنني لا استسيغ ظاهرة التقبيل.."

ويقول رامسفيلد: في خضم اعداد قوات التحالف لشن الهجوم علي القوات العراقية المتمركزة في الكويت وجنوب العراق كان لابد من مشورة السيستاني حتي نخرج بنتائج لا تسبب خسائر فادحة في صفوف قوات التحالف وفعلا تم الاتصال ..عن طريق وكيل السيستاني في الكويت جواد المهري.

وأكد أن "السيستاني واظهر لنا من المرونة ما كنا نخشي منه كون الأخير أيضا يدين بالولاء لإيران وإيران أيضا دخلت علي محور الصراع باعتبار أن الرئيس بوش قد صنفها ضمن محور الشر الذي يضم العراق.. إيران.. كوريا الشماليه".

"كان لفتوى السيستاني الفضل الكثير لتجنب قوات التحالف خسائر جسيمة.."
وكشف رامسفيلد "قدمنا هديه لأصدقائنا في العراق طبعا علي رأسهم السيستاني وكان مبلغ من المال '200مليون دولار' يليق بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وحليفنا السيستاني".

وبعد هذه الهديه التي وصلت للسيستاني عن طريق الكويت "أخذت علاقاتنا مع السيستاني تتسع أكثر فأكثر وبعد أن علم الرئيس بوش الابن بهذا الخبر ووصول وتسلم السيستاني للهدية قرر فتح مكتب في وكالة المخابرات المركزية وسمي مكتب العلاقات مع السيستاني".

وكان يرأس المكتب الجنرال المتقاعد في البحريه سايمون يولاندي، لكي يتم الاتصال وتبادل المعلومات عن طريق هذا المكتب. وفعلا تم افتتاح المكتب وعمل بكل جدا ونشاط ,وكان من ثمار هذا العمل المتبادل صدور فتوى من السيستاني بان يلزم الشيعة وأتباعه بعدم التعرض لقوات التحالف التي وصلت للحدود مع الكويت.

وتوجت مجهود عمل هذا المكتب أيضا بعد دخول العراق في ربيع 2003 إذ كانت قوات التحالف تعيش حالة القلق من جراء الرد الشعبي العراقي.

وأشار رامسفيلد "فعلا اتصل بي الجنرال يولاندي واخبرني عن لقاء السيستاني هذه الليلة ولم أكن أتوقع أن يجري اللقاء بهذه السهولة لمعرفتي المسبقة بأن من يتسلم مهام السلطة المرجعية في العراق تكون حركاته وتصرفاته محسوبة بما يمتلك هذا المقام من روحية لدي عموم الشيعة في العالم والعراق بالخصوص".

وأضاف "المهم كنت في تلك اللحظات اجري لقاء علي شبكه فوكس نيوز من بغداد مباشرة وبعد لقاء فوكس نيوز توجهنا الي مدينة النجف عن طريق سرب من المروحيات التابعة لقوات التحالف وقد وصلنا الي مدينة النجف في وقت متأخر من الليل"،

وروى رامسفيلد في مذكراته كيف كانت مدينة النجف تغط في ظلام دامس وهبطت المروحيات علي مباني بالقرب من مرقد الإمام علي ومن ثم انتقاله الي مكان إقامة السيستاني حيث كان يقيم في حي مزري جدا ومحاط بالنفايات من كل جانب، وقال "وأتذكر أنني وضعت منديل علي أنفي من أثر الروائح الموجودة في مبني السيستاني والأماكن المجاورة.

"عندما رأيت السيستاني تلاقفني في الأحضان ..وقبلني أكثر من مره بالرغم إنني لا استسيغ ظاهرة التقبيل بالنسبة للرجال وتحاورنا عن أمور كثيرة كان من الحكمة أن نأخذ رأي أصدقاءنا بها وبالخصوص مثل السيساني".

وبحسب المذكرات فإن قوات الاحتلال آنذاك كانت تواجهنا مشكلة "السلاح"، حيث ترك النظام العراقي السابق في متناول العراقيين أكثر من ستة ملايين قطعة سلاح خفيف كانت هذه القطع تسبب للأمريكان إرباكا في السيطرة علي هذا الكم الهائل من الأسلحة.

وقال رامسفيلد "وفعلا تم التوصل إلي اتفاق مضمون الاتفاق أن يصدر الزعيم السيستاني فتوى تحظر استخدام هذه الأسلحة ضد قوات التحالف وكان لهذه الفتوى الفضل الكثير لتجنب قوات التحالف خسائر جسيمة".

Michael H. Hart wrote a book entitled "THE 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History" in 1978. Several other authors have written similar books but this still remains a distinguished book in it's category. The book is thought provoking and encourages the reader to see history from different perspectives.

He chose Prophet Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons which was surprising to many people. He said he chose Muhammad because he was the only person in the history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular levels. Michael Hart went on to count the traits and qualities of Prophet Muhammad and his overall impact on human history and arrived at the conclusion that Prophet Muhammad should be the number one person in the filed of 100 influential persons in human history.Another surprise to many people was Michael Hart's choice of Umar Ibn Al-Khattab among the 100 influential persons, whom he not only included among these 100 persons but also put him as number two on the second half (51 to 100) of his choice. Umar Ibn Al-Khattab is 52nd on the list. He ranked him higher than such famous men as Charlemagne and Julius Caesar. He further says that Umar's brilliant leadership was responsible for the expansion of the Islamic territory and the enormous extent that it did occur under him. He further says that Umar Ibn Al-Khattab ordered the Muslim armies to leave the natives of the conquered land in peace and ordered the military personnel not to force the natives to convert to Islam.

In the parenthesis Michael put his note, "From the above, it is clear that the Arab conquest was more a nationalist war of conquest rather than a holy war, although the religious aspect was not lacking". Michael Hart further says that Umar ibn Al-Khattab's achievements are impressive and it would be a grave mistake to ignore his contributions to humanity. It should be noted that Umar Ibn Al-Khattab's brilliant leadership was responsible for permanence of the territories that came under the Islamic role at that time and are still part of the Islamic world today. Umar Ibn Al-Khattab is a pioneering figure in the Islamic world. He was a leader, a statesman, a pious and God conscious Muslim who showed respect for all individuals including non-Muslims and he ordered the Muslims to treat non-Muslims with respect. Islam spread widely not by the sword but by virtue of its beauty, simplicity, transparency, openness and the leadership provided by him. Another reason for the rapid growth of Muslim community was the conversion of some high-placed religious personalities from among the Jewish and the Christian communities. These religious personalities saw Islam as a continuation and affirmation of the Abrahamic faith. Ardkun, the Bishop of Damascus, accepted Islam after the Islamic armies entered the city under Khalid bin Walid. The followers of Ardkun became attracted towards the new faith and became Muslim. The chief administrator of the city of Shata in Egypt, famous for its textiles manufacturing, left his town with two thousand men and went to city of Damietta where the Muslim army was camped and embraced Islam with his followers.During the time of Umar ibn Al-Khattab, the non-Muslims enjoyed freedom of religion.

They were free to perform their religious rites, ring bells to start their religious ceremonies, take out the Cross in procession and hold religious fairs. Even treaties were signed during the time of Umar ibn Al-Khattab with non-Muslims that guaranteed freedom of religion. The writ of Hudhaifa bin al-Yaman to people of the region of Mahdinar says, "They shall not be required to change their religion, nor shall any interference be made in their religious practices." Umar ibn Al-Khattab followed the principle of equality very strictly and would not tolerate any kind of distinction. Once, Umar ibn Al-Khattab had a difference of opinion with Ubayy bin Ka'b. The matter was referred and brought in the court of Qazi Zaid bin Thabit. When Umar ibn Al-Khattab arrived at the court the Qazi, Zaid bin Thabit, vacated his seat out of respect for the Khalifah. Umar ibn Al-Khattab, after observing the situation, said that this was the first injustice Zaid has done to the suit. Then he sat down next to Ubayy, his opponent.Umar ibn Al-Khattab always favored individual freedom and self-respect. By word of mouth and through his writings he made it very clear that every human being was born free and no one should have to abase himself in front of others. Once, the son of Amr bin As abused and beat up a Copt Christian; on hearing this Umar ibn Al-Khattab had son of Amr punished publicly by the hand of the victim Copt Christian. Then Umar ibn Al-Khattab addressed both father and son and said, "Since when have you turned men into slaves, whereas they are born free of their mothers?"The people of many cultures who accepted Islam faced new challenges. More complex questions regarding the Islamic way of life cropped up at the same time. Many of the questions could not be answered because clear rulings of the Holy Prophet or the Holy Qur'an were not available. The Qadis and Muftis appointed in towns and cities were Companions of the Prophet, yet they referred complicated questions to the Khalifah. The famous Sahabis who referred the question to Umar Ibn Al-Khattab are Abdullah bin Ma'sud, Ammar bin Yasar, Abu Musa Ash'ari, Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah, Mughira bin Shuba and others. Umar ibn Al-Khattab gave his judgment after discussing these questions in the assembly of the companions. The discussions were conducted with the greatest freedom and acumen. Shah Wali-Ullah writes in Hujjatullah al-Baligha, "It was Umar's practice to consult the companions and hold discussions with them, until the veils were lifted and conviction was attained. For this reason Umar's dicta were accepted throughout the East and the West."It is said that his writings, his letters and official instructions were as powerful as his speeches. In a letter to Abu Musa Ash'ari he wrote, "People generally hate their ruler, and I seek protection of Allah, if my people should entertain similar feelings about me. Avoid vain suspicions and keep away from malice, and don not encourage people of cherish vain hopes, and be careful of Allah's property, and guard yourself against evil men. If you find any people who are vindictively inclined towards the Muslim state, it is devilish inclination and must be put down by the sword, until they bow to Allah's decision and turn to better ways"In another letter to Abu Musa Ash'ari he said, "The thing that strengthens one in execution of work and that one should not procrastinate; for if you do so, your affairs will heap up and overwhelm you and you will not then be able to decide what to do and what not to do, and you will fail in your work."Umr Ibn Al-Khattab appointed Amr bin Al-As as the Governor of Egypt. Amr bin Al-As delayed remitting the revenue to the treasury. Umar ibn Al-Khattab wrote to him and reminded about the delay. Amr bin Al-As procrastinated. Umar ibn Al-Khattab sent him a strong letter, he wrote, "I understand that the thing that has kept you from replying is the fact that your subordinates are not good. They have made you a shield, and it is a disease for which I possess an effective remedy. I am surprised that I have written to you often and at length, but you neglected sending the revenue and have avoided giving straight answers. So Abu, Abdullah, don't worry. Due shall be taken from you and you shall pay them, for as the river yields pearls, so will you have to render the dues." Umar ibn Al-Khattab used to end his speeches with following statement: "O God, let me not fall into an error, nor let me be called to account on unawares, nor let me fall into neglect."Umar ibn Al-Khattab's actions speak louder about his character, his integrity and his love for the people in the Muslim state. He made rounds at night to gauge and evaluate the condition of the people. His achievements are reflection of his life.

Sayings of Umar ibn Al-Khattab:
Umar ibn Al-Khattab always had a sound opinion, which made him a very powerful leader who expected higher degree of integrity from the people working with him during his Khilafate. Some of his wise sayings are quoted here:
One who keeps his own counsel keeps his affairs in his own hand.
Fear him whom you hate.
The wisest man is he who can account for his actions.
Do not put off today's work till tomorrow.
What regresses never progresses?
He who does not know evil will fall into it.
When a man asks me a question, I know his intelligence.
Don't forget your own self while preaching to others.
The less of the world, the freer you live.
Avoidance of sin is lighter than the pain of remorse.
If patience and gratitude had been two she camels, it would have mattered little on which I rode. May God have mercy on him who sends me my faults for a present!
During his Hajj pilgrimage to Makkah, Umar ibn Al-Khattab heard one of the camel drivers singing. People asked Umar ibn Al-Khattab as to why he did not stop the camel driver from singing. Umar ibn Al-Khattab replied, "Music was the camel driver's provision for a journey."
Some of the Achievements of Umar ibn Al-Khattab:
Umar ibn Al-Khattab established many institutions in the Islamic state's administration. Historians have called his reforms as innovations. The achievements of Umar ibn Al-Khattab are numerous. The most important achievements are listed below:
Umar ibn Al-Khattab established the public treasury: Bait-ul-Mal
Established courts of justice and appointed judges.
Proposed and enforced use of the era of Hijra.
Assumed the title of Amir-ul-Mu'minin.
To engage the anti-Islamic forces he organized and established the War Department.
Placed army reserves on the pay-roll. In addition to this, Umar Ibn Al-Khattab improved the army administration by providing every army corps with an officer of the treasury, an accountant, and number of interpreters, physicians and surgeons. He instructed the army commanders to submit accounts of war expenditures and list of the spoils of war. Historical records show that in 16 Hijri Ziyad bin Abi Sufyan came from city of Jalula Ð after its conquest - and brought with him the records of the accounts to Madinah and submitted them for Umar ibn Al-Khattab's perusal and review.
Established Land Revenue Department, ordered survey and assessment of lands and also ordered conducting census. This required maintenance of the land revenue records in Persian, Syriac and Coptic languages. The accounts were kept on long rolled-up sheets.
Founded cities: Kufah, Basrah, Jazirah, Fustat and Musal and undertook construction and building of canals.
Divided conquered countries into provinces.
Ordered collecting customs duties.
Appointed officials for the collection of tax on the produce of sea.
Gave permission to traders from foreign countries to conduct business in the Islamic territory.
Organized jails and enforced use of the whip.
Made rounds at night to gauge and evaluate the condition of the people. For relaxations he enjoyed lighter pursuits including poetry. Once he asked Abdullah bin Abbas to recite him poetry the whole night. At the time when dawn was breaking, he said, "Now recite the Holy Qur'an." During one of his night rounds around the city he heard the sound of music. He stopped and listened to the music and then moved on.
Established military cantonments and had them located at strategic points.
Organized Police Department.
Set up a system to classify pedigree and non-pedigree horses.
Built houses on the road from Makkah to Madinah for the comfort of the travelers and also established guest-houses in different cities. At that time a system was established for the clearance of land, construction of roads, building of bridges and other operations which are carried out by sappers and miner in present day armies. The local people of the lands were recruited to perform these duties.
Provided stipends for the poor Jewish and Christian people.
Established schools and provided salaries for school teachers and public lecturers.
Proposed the principle of Qiyas and its formulation.
Proposed exact division of inheritance.
Proposed and inserted additional statement "Prayer is better than sleep" in the call for Fajr prayers.
Ordained performing taraweeh prayers in congregation.
Established law for the punishment of alcohol drinkers with eighty lashes.
Proposed a method for preparing trusts.
Obtained consensus of opinion for saying four takbirs in funeral prayer.
Made arrangements for providing lights in mosques at night. It is stated that until the Khilafate of Umar ibn Al-Khattab there were no arrangements for lights in the mosques. A person by name Tamim Dari made the arrangements and supplied lamps for the mosques with Umar ibn Al-Khattab's permission.
Established a procedure to giving salaries from the public treasury to Imams and Muazzins.

When in the first few years of The inspiration of God to Muhammad and Islam was weak and new Muslims were persecuted the prophet would pray to God to strengthen Islam by one of the two Omars both were enemies to Islam our Omar here Ben Al khatab. When Omar had learned that his own sister became Muslim and her husband he went to her home meaning harm to them. In the door of their home he listened to them reading the Quran and his heart turned to Quran deep inside he felt the power of Quran and his heart told him the speaker is the creator of heavens and earth. From strong enemy he turned to one of the best Muslims. He stood with the prophet all the way defending him and fighting for the message of the Quran. He was strong, brave, just and humble. When became Khalifa of Muslims he would fear God in every step from hiring the officials to dealing with non-Muslims to even paving the streets to animals so they would not hurt when they walk. One non-Muslim in high position came to see him from far away place he found him sleeping under a tree, no majesty, no guards and no secret services. The man said it well about Omar: you governed, you did it with justice, you felt secure and then you slept.

وقالت غارديان إن شهية القراء للاطلاع على هذه الأسرار أدت لمنع صحف أو قرصنة مواقع إلكترونية في عموم الشرق الأوسط، كما دفعت الحكومات العربية لاتباع التكتيكات القديمة للتقليل من حجم الأضرار.

وأوردت مثالا على ذلك السعودية وتونس والمغرب، فهذه الدول -وفق الصحيفة- تحاول منع تدفق ما يكشفه موقع ويكيليكس سواء أكان متعلقا بالفساد أو الدكتاتورية أو الإحراج الناتج عن لقاء مسؤولين أميركيين لمناقشة قضايا خاصة تتعلق بالمجتمع.

وأردفت غارديان أن قصصا تتعلق بالسيطرة الاقتصادية لملك المغرب محمد السادس أو سيطرة الأقارب في حكم الرئيس التونسي "غير الشعبي" زين العابدين بن علي قد لا تجد اهتماما كبيرا في الصحيفة البريطانية لكنها بالتأكيد لها قراؤها في صحيفة لوموند الفرنسية، وهو ما جعل السلطات تحظر نسختها المطبوعة في المغرب.

ولقيت المصير نفسه صحيفتا إلبايس والقدس العربي حيث منعتا من التوزيع في المغرب.

أما المواقع الإلكترونية فقد تعرضت لقرصنة عندما أوردت خبرا عن دعوات الملك السعودي عبد الله بن عبد العزيز لضرب إيران وبرنامجها النووي.

وتعرض للأمر ذاته موقع صحيفة الأخبار اللبنانية حيث نشر نحو 250 برقية تتحدث عن ثماني دول عربية قبل أن يتعرض للقرصنة عقب نشر برقيات عن الرئيس التونسي –الذي تحظى دولته بأسوأ سمعة في علاقتها مع المواقع الصحفية الإلكترونية.

وتشير الصحيفة إلى خلو البرقيات المسربة حتى الآن من ذكر إسرائيل، قائلة إن في الشرق الأوسط من يؤمن بنظريات المؤامرة ويعتقد أن اتفاقا أبرم بين مؤسس موقع ويكيليكس جوليان أسانج ورئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو.

بيد أن الصحيفة تتطرق -باستغراب- إلى حجم الجهد المبذول أميركيا في السعي لاحتواء إيران مقابل الود العميق في الروابط الإسرائيلية الأميركية.

كما تظهر التناقض بين مدى معلومات الدبلوماسيين الأميركيين عن واقع الشرق الأوسط وضآلة الجهد الأميركي لنشر مبادئ الديمقراطية وحقوق الإنسان.

Ashura is commemorated on the 10th of Muharram in the first month of the Islamic lunar calendar.It is marked by many Muslims with a voluntary day of fasting to observe the day that Prophet Moses freed the Israelites from the bondage of the Egyptian Pharaoh.Along with this we also remember this day as one of the most tragic events in Islamic history when Prophet Muhammad's beloved grandson Imam Hussein along with his family were martyred while standing up against injustice.Some men seek to emulate the suffering of Imam Hussein, lamenting the martyrdom by self-flagellation.A growing number of scholars discourage this self-infliction and instead encourage people to donate blood on this day.Fasting on the day of Ashura is highly recommended since the time Prophet Muhammad migrated to Madinah.
According to Sahih Bukhari, Volume 6, Book 60, Number 202 - Narrated Ibn Abbas:
When the Prophet arrived at Medina, the Jews were observing the fast on 'Ashura' (10th of Muharram) and they said, "This is the day when Moses became victorious over Pharaoh," On that, the Prophet said to his companions, "You (Muslims) have more right to celebrate Moses' victory than they have, so observe the fast on this day.
It is also recommended to be generous on this day towards family members and parents because prophet Muhammad stated that whoever is generous on his family on the day of Ashura, then Allah is generous towards him for the whole year.

Husain the Righteous refused to bow to worldliness and power We have brought the story down to the 60th year of the Hijra. Yazid assumed the power at Damascus. He cared nothing for the most sacred ideals of the people. He was not even interested in the ordinary business affairs of administration. His passion was hunting, and he sought power for self-gratification. The discipline and self-abnegation, the strong faith and earnest endeavour, the freedom and sense of social equality which had been the motive forces of Islam, were divorced from power. The throne at Damascus had become a worldly throne based on the most selfish ideas of personal and family aggrandisement, instead of a spiritual office, with a sense of God-given responsibility. The decay of morals spread among the people. There was one man who could stem the tide. That was Imam Husain. He, the grandson of the Prophet, could speak without fear, for fear was foreign to his nature. But his blameless and irreproachable life was in itself a reproach to those who had other standards. They sought to silence him, but he could not be silenced. They sought to bribe him, but he could not be bribed. They sought to waylay him and get him into their Power. What is more, they wanted him to recognise the tyranny and expressly to support it. For they knew that the conscience of the people might awaken at any time, and sweep them away unless the holy man supported their cause. The holy man was prepared to die rather than surrender the principles for which he stood.
Driven from city to city Medina was the centre of Husain's teaching. They made Medina impossible for him. He left Medina and went to Mecca, hoping that he would be left alone. But he was not left alone. The Syrian forces invaded Mecca. The invasion was repelled, not by Husain but by other people. For Husain, though the bravest of the brave, had no army and no worldly weapons. His existence itself was an offence in the eyes of his enemies. His life was in danger, and the lives of all those nearest and dearest to him. He had friends everywhere, but they were afraid to speak out. They were not as brave as he was. But in distant Kufa, a party grew up which said: "We are disgusted with these events, and we must have Imam Husain to take asylum with us." So they sent and invited the Imam to leave Mecca, come to them, live in their midst, and be their honoured teacher and guide. His father's memory was held in reverence in Kufa. The Governor of Kufa was friendly, and the people eager to welcome him. But alas, Kufa had neither strength, nor courage, nor constancy. Kufa, geographically only 40 miles from Kerbela, was the occasion of the tragedy of Kerbela. And now Kufa is nearly gone, and Kerbela remains as the lasting memorial of the martyrdom. Invitation from Kufa When the Kufa invitation reached the Imam, he pondered over it, weighed its possibilities, and consulted his friends. He sent over his cousin Muslim to study the situation on the spot and report to him. The report was favourable, and he decided to go. He had a strong presentiment of danger. Many of his friends in Mecca advised him against it. But could he abandon his mission when Kufa was calling for it? Was he the man to be deterred, because his enemies were laying their plots for him, at Damascus and at Kufa? At least, it was suggested, he might leave his family behind. But his family and his immediate dependants would not hear of it. It was a united family, pre-eminent in the purity of its life and in its domestic virtues and domestic affections. If there was danger for its head, they would share it. The Imam was not going on a mere ceremonial visit. There was responsible work to do, and they must be by his side, to support him in spite of all its perils and consequences. Shallow critics scent political ambition in the Imam's act. But would a man with political ambitions march without an army against what might be called the enemy country, scheming to get him into its power, and prepared to use all their resources, military, political and financial, against him? Journey through the desert Imam Husain left Mecca for Kufa with all his family including his little children. Later news from Kufa itself was disconcerting. The friendly governor had been displaced by one prepared more ruthlessly to carry out Yazid's plans. If Husain was to go there at all, he must go there quickly, or his friends themselves would be in danger. On the other hand, Mecca itself was no less dangerous to him and his family. It was the month of September by the solar calendar, and no one would take a long desert journey in that heat, except under a sense of duty. By the lunar calendar it was the month of pilgrimage at Mecca. But he did not stop for the pilgrimage. He pushed on, with his family and dependants, in all numbering about 90 or 100 people, men, women and children. They must have gone by forced marches through the desert. They covered the 900 miles of the desert in little over three weeks. When they came within a few miles of Kufa, at the edge of the desert, they met people from Kufa. It was then that they heard of the terrible murder of Husain's cousin Muslim, who had been sent on in advance. A poet that came by dissuaded the Imam from going further. "For," he said epigramatically, "the heart of the city is with thee but its sword is with thine enemies, and the issue is with God." What was to be done? They were three weeks' journey from the city they had left. In the city to which they were going their own messenger had been foully murdered as well as his children. They did not know what the actual situation was then in Kufa. But they were determined not to desert their friends. Call to Surrender or Die Presently messengers came from Kufa, and Imam Husain was asked to surrender. Imam Husain offered to take one of three alternatives. He wanted no political power and no revenge. He said "I came to defend my own people. If I am too late, give me the choice of three alternatives: either to return to Mecca; or to face Yazid himself at Damascus; or if my very presence is distasteful to him and you, I do not wish to cause more divisions among the Muslims. Let me at least go to a distant frontier, where, if fighting must be done, I will fight against the enemies of Islam." Every one of these alternatives was refused. What they wanted was to destroy his life, or better still, to get him to surrender, to surrender to the very forces against which he was protesting, to declare his adherence to those who were defying the law of God and man, and to tolerate all the abuses which were bringing the name of Islam into disgrace. Of course he did not surrender. But what was he to do? He had no army. He had reasons to suppose that many of his friends from distant parts would rally round him, and come and defend him with their swords and bodies. But time was necessary, and he was not going to gain time by feigned compliance. He turned a little round to the left, the way that would have led him to Yazid himself, at Damascus. He camped in the plain of Kerbela. Water cut off; Inflexible will, Devotion and Chivalry For ten days messages passed backwards and forwards between Kerbela and Kufa. Kufa wanted surrender and recognition. That was the one thing the Imam could not consent to. Every other alternative was refused by Kufa, under the instructions from Damascus. Those fateful ten days were the first ten days of the month of Muharram, of the year 61 of the Hijra. The final crisis was on the 10th day, the Ashura day, which we are commemorating. During the first seven days various kinds of pressure were brought to bear on the Imam, but his will was inflexible. It was not a question of a fight, for there were but 70 men against 4,000. The little band was surrounded and insulted, but they held together so firmly that they could not be harmed. On the 8th day the water supply was cut off. The Euphrates and its abundant streams were within sight, but the way was barred. Prodigies of valour were performed in getting water. Challenges were made for single combat according to Arab custom. And the enemy were half-hearted, while the Imam's men fought in contempt of death, and always accounted for more men than they lost. On the evening of the 9th day, the little son of the Imam was ill. He had fever and was dying of thirst. They tried to get a drop of water. But that was refused point blank and so they made the resolve that they would, rather than surrender, die to the last man in the cause for which they had come. Imam Husain offered to send away his people. He said, "They are after my person; my family and my people can go back." But everyone refused to go. They said they would stand by him to the last, and they did. They were not cowards; they were soldiers born and bred; and they fought as heroes, with devotion and with chivalry.

The Final Agony; placid face of the man of God On the day of Ashura, the 10th day, Imam Husain's own person was surrounded by his enemies. He was brave to the last. He was cruelly mutilated. His sacred head was cut off while in the act of prayer. A mad orgy of triumph was celebrated over his body. In this crisis we have details of what took place hour by hour. He had 45 wounds from the enemies' swords and javelins, and 35 arrows pierced his body. His left arm was cut off, and a javelin pierced through his breast. After all that agony, when his head was lifted up on a spear, his face was the placid face of a man of God. All the men of that gallant band were exterminated and their bodies trampled under foot by the horses. The only male survivor was a child, Husain's son Ali, surnamed Zain-ul-'Abidin - "The Glory of the Devout." He lived in retirement, studying, interpreting, and teaching his father's high spiritual principles for the rest of his life. Heroism of the Women There were women: for example, Zainab the sister of the Imam, Sakina his little daughter, and Shahr-i-Banu, his wife, at Kerbela. A great deal of poetic literature has sprung up in Muslim languages, describing the touching scenes in which they figure. Even in their grief and their tears they are heroic. They lament the tragedy in simple, loving, human terms. But they are also conscious of the noble dignity of their nearness to a life of truth reaching its goal in the precious crown of martyrdom. One of the best-known poets of this kind is the Urdu poet Anis, who lived in Lucknow, and died in 1874. Lesson of the Tragedy That briefly is the story. What is the lesson? There is of course the physical suffering in martyrdom, and all sorrow and suffering claim our sympathy, - the dearest, purest, most out-flowing sympathy that we can give. But there is a greater suffering than physical suffering. That is when a valiant soul seems to stand against the world; when the noblest motives are reviled and mocked; when truth seems to suffer an eclipse. It may even seem that the martyr has but to say a word of compliance, do a little deed of non-resistance; and much sorrow and suffering would be saved; and the insidious whisper comes: "Truth after all can never die." That is perfectly true. Abstract truth can never die. It is independent of man's cognition. But the whole battle is for man's keeping hold of truth and righteousness. And that can only be done by the highest examples of man's conduct - spiritual striving and suffering enduring firmness of faith and purpose, patience and courage where ordinary mortals would give in or be cowed down, the sacrifice of ordinary motives to supreme truth in scorn of consequence. The martyr bears witness, and the witness redeems what would otherwise be called failure. It so happened with Husain. For all were touched by the story of his martyrdom, and it gave the deathblow to the politics of Damascus and all it stood for. And Muharram has still the power to unite the different schools of thought in Islam, and make a powerful appeal to non-Muslims also. Explorers of Spiritual Territory That, to my mind, is the supreme significance of martyrdom. All human history shows that the human spirit strives in many directions, deriving strength and sustenance from many sources. Our bodies, our physical powers, have developed or evolved from earlier forms, after many struggles and defeats. Our intellect has had its martyrs, and our great explorers have often gone forth with the martyrs' spirit. All honour to them. But the highest honour must still lie with the great explorers of spiritual territory, those who faced fearful odds and refused to surrender to evil. Rather than allow a stigma to attach to sacred things, they paid with their own lives the penalty of resistance. The first kind of resistance offered by the Imam was when he went from city to city, hunted about from place to place, but making no compromise with evil. Then was offered the choice of an effectual but dangerous attempt at clearing the house of God, or living at ease for himself by tacit abandonment of his striving friends. He chose the path of danger with duty and honour, and never swerved from it giving up his life freely and bravely. His story purifies our emotions. We can best honour his memory by allowing it to teach us courage and constancy.

London (CNN) -- A court in central London this week found itself in the world's spotlight, as a small army of celebrities staked their reputations by turning up to offer support -- and bail money -- to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.
The 39-year-old Australian, who handed himself over to British police last week to answer a European arrest warrant over alleged sex crimes in Sweden, remains in custody pending an appeal by Swedish authorities against a judge's decision to grant him bail.
Assange has vowed to fight attempts to extradite him, arguing that the charges against him are politically motivated and designed to deflect attention from the sensitive material exposed by his whistle-blowing website.

This stance has won him some high-profile backing, as was shown during the hearing Tuesday when some notable faces trooped into Westminster Magistrates Court determined to demonstrate their solidarity, even if it meant staking part of the £200,000 ($315,000) bail or a spare room in your country mansion.

Despite having never personally met Assange, Ken Loach, the veteran British director of movies including "Kes" and "Sweet Sixteen," said he had offered £20,000 ($31,444) towards his bail. "I think the work he has done has been a public service," he told reporters, in quotes carried by Britain's Guardian newspaper. "I think we are entitled to know the dealings of those that govern us."
Jemima Khan, British socialite and ex-wife of former Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan, offered a similar amount before releasing the following statement: "I make no judgment of Julian Assange as an individual as I have never met him. I am offering my support to him as I believe in the universal right to freedom of information and our right to be told the truth."
The daughter of the late financier and politician, James Goldsmith, Khan has also been active on Twitter, and tweeted: "What happened to innocent until proven guilty? He hasn't even been charged, let alone convicted."
Assange also found prominent support from across the Atlantic, as controversial U.S. filmmaker Michael Moore pledged $20,000 from "his own pocket."
The director of thought-provoking documentaries such as "Bowling for Columbine," which looked at U.S. gun control in the wake of 1999 Columbine High School massacre, wrote on his website that he would be offering the assistance of his website, servers, domain names and "anything else I can do to keep WikiLeaks alive and thriving as it continues its work to expose the crimes that were concocted in secret and carried out in our name and with our tax dollars."

He added: "We were taken to war in Iraq on a lie. Hundreds of thousands are now dead. Just imagine if the men who planned this war crime back in 2002 had had a WikiLeaks to deal with. They might not have been able to pull it off."
Meanwhile, Vaughan Smith, the founder of London's Frontline Club which claims to "champion independent journalism," offered to accommodate Assange, who has no British address, at his sprawling family home in order to meet another of the bail conditions issued by the court Tuesday. Assange would also be electronically tagged and required to report daily to a police station close by.
In a statement on his website he explained that his support was being offered "on a point of principle."
He added: "In the face of a concerted attempt to shut him down and after a decade since 9/11 that has been characterized by manipulation of the media by the authorities, the information released by WikiLeaks is a refreshing glimpse into an increasingly opaque world.
"I am suspicious of the personal charges that have been made against Mr. Assange and hope that this will be properly resolved by the courts. Certainly no credible charges have been brought regarding the leaking of the information itself."
Other prominent supporters at the hearing included award-winning Australian journalist and documentary-maker John Pilger, British gay rights activist Peter Tatchell, and human rights activist Bianca Jagger. Pilger, a long-time critic of U.S. foreign policy, has been particularly vocal in his support for Assange and the work of WikiLeaks.
However he questioned why Assange had reportedly been held in solitary confinement in London's largest prison. "He called me from Wandsworth Prison at the weekend and his state of mind seemed pretty good," he told reporters, in quotes carried by Britain's Press Association.
"He is in solitary confinement. He is in what is known as a punishment block and we are not quite sure why. He is an innocent man who has not been charged with anything, sitting in solitary confinement -- what is going on?"
Tatchell, meanwhile, also appeared outside the court on Tuesday to express his support for the work of WikiLeaks. He told reporters: "It's quite clear that the U.S. government and other governments have kept secrets hidden from us. And we the people have a right to know. These revelations are in the public interest. It's shocking that it's taken a whistleblower to bring them to our attention."
When asked about the allegations against him he replied: "No one can know. But he is innocent until proven guilty."
However in a post on his Twitter page the previous week, he wrote: "Julian Assange might be guilty of sex crimes. But the charges look like a fix to silence & discredit him. The US is out to destroy him."
In another post he claimed the U.S. government tried to discredit Vietnam War whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg in the 1970s. Ellsberg, a former military analyst, famously leaked the "Pentagon Papers" in 1971, a classified study into U.S. decision-making during the conflict.
Bianca Jagger, human rights advocate and former wife of Rolling Stones singer Mick, also gave her support to Assange, telling reporters in central London that she was concerned that the case had become politicized. "If the police have any accusations they should let him answer for them," she said, adding that he should be treated fairly.

وأوضحت الوثيقة أن معظم حديث مبارك مع المسئول الأمريكي دارت حول العملية الجراحية التي أجريت له في عموده الفقري بألمانيا في يونيو 2004. وتظهر الوثيقة أن مبارك ظل يؤكد للمسئول الأمريكي أن الجراحة كانت لعلاج "انزلاق غضروفي" وليس "فتق غضروفي". موضحا أن الفتحة التي أجريت من خلالها العملية كانت "صغيرة للغاية" وان العملية استمرت ساعة ونصف فقط، وأنه لم يشعر بأي ألم بعد العملية، وقال "في اليوم التالي كنت قادرا على المشي". واستمر مبارك في سرد تفاصيل ما بعد العملية للمسئول الأمريكي "في القاهرة كنت أؤدي تمارين يومية بعد الظهيرة لكن في شرم الشيخ استرخيت فقط ولم أمارس أي تمارين".

وتصف الوثيقة مبارك أثناء لقاء المسئول الأمريكي بأنه كان "صريحا ويتمتع بروح الدعابة". كما أنه كان ينهض بسهولة من مقعده لعدة مرات مشيرا إلى إحدى ملاعب الجولف ولتلتقط له الصور مع زواره. وذكرت الوثيقة أن مبارك تحدث كثيرا خلال اللقاء عن الطعام مؤكدا أنه يفضل أطباق الإفطار الشعبية مثل الطعمية والفول ثم طلب طبق كبير من ساندويتشات الطعمية وأكل منها بنهم.

وأشارت الوثيقة إلى أن مبارك اهتم بالحديث عن ابنه الأصغر جمال الذي وصفه بـ"الساع وراء الكمال منذ طفولته"، وقال الرئيس، ضاحكا، إن جمال "كان مثاليا منذ كان صبيا في المدرسة .. إذا أعطيته كراسا به خط أعوج يلقيه بعيدا ويطلب كراسا جديدا".

وتقول الوثيقة لصادرة عن السفارة الأمريكية إن اللقاء الطويل مع مبارك الذي امتد لساعتين ونصف في مسكنه المطل على ملعب جولف بشرم الشيخ كان معظمه في إحدى البلكونات. وتؤكد الوثيقة أن مبارك كان يعاني صعوبات في السمع أكثر من المعتاد، ورغم ذلك بادر بإجراء عدد من المكالمات الهاتفية.

وذكرت الوثيقة أن "مبارك أظهر ضعفا واضحا في الذاكرة" عندما أخبر عضو الكونجرس الأمريكي أن ابنه جمال يبلغ من العمر 41 سنة في حين أن سن جمال مبارك 44 سنة لأنه ولد في 27 ديسمبر 1963 وفقا لمعلومات السفارة الأمريكية بالقاهرة.

In a manifesto posted to his Web site, Moore characterized Assange as “a pioneer of free speech, transparent government and the digital revolution in journalism.” As for fear of a flight risk, Moore argued against this possibility by quite convincingly invoking the matter of Assange’s own ego. “I believe that Julian takes pride in his reputation and as any journalist would understands that if he were to abscond he would ruin his reputation in the media and journalism industries,” Moore said.
Assange, meanwhile, is having a hell of a time of it in jail. The Guardian spoke with his lawyer, Mark Stephens, who “said Assange was under 24-hour video surveillance and had complained that a tooth which broke off while he was eating had later been stolen from his cell.” Revolting—until you consider that perhaps the tooth was previously hallowed and repurposed as a secret storage facility for a tiny parchment scroll that bears the poison-pill encryption code! We may never know—that is, until the premiere of Moore’s forthcoming WikiLeaks documentary, Control+Alt+WikiLeaks, the opening scene of which we’ve posted below.

The more we advance on the road to science in all directions, micro and macro, the arguments in favor of an intelligent creator become more and more eloquent. In the face of such facts the least one can do is acknowledge the Creator. Deliberate attempts not to is evidently dishonesty. The Cause:
The Universe consists of billions of galaxies and each galaxy has a vast number of stars. To study a galaxy, scientists record light from it on a strip of film. If the galaxy is moving away from our galaxy, the lines on the spectrum will be towards the red end of the film, this is called red shift. By this mechanism scientists conclude that with the exception of a few nearby galaxies, all the galaxies are moving away from us, and the further away they are the faster they are moving away.
The Universe's expansion, discussed above began with an explosive, called the "Big Bang". In 1965 a type of radiation called the "Cosmic Background Radiation" was discovered (also called the microwave background radiation) by Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson. All regions of the sky send the same amount of this radiation to the earth.
This was the breakthrough for the Big Bang theory. Long before 1965, it had been predicted by scientists that we should be able to find energy remaining from the Big Bang. They had now factually confirmed the faint remnant of the energy produced during the explosive birth of the universe. This radiation has a temperature of 3K (therefore it is also called 3K radiation) and it is very close to the value predicted by scientists before it was discovered.
This radiation is much different to the radiation coming from a particular portion of the universe since it cannot be increased or decreased by pointing an antenna and is uniform from all locations to the earth.
In 1948, the "steady state theory" was advanced which now has no followers and which was completely knocked out by the above discovery of 3K radiation. Scientists today accept the Big Bang theory as being the most reliable with the most evidence to back it up. However they do not know what CAUSED the Big Bang. The standard Big Bang theory does not explain what caused the Big Bang.

Big Bang impossible without God:
To clarify some terms: If it is said that the universe is OPEN, it means it will expand forever. If it is said that it is closed, it will not expand forever. Whether a universe will expand, depends on if its average density is less than or equal to its critical density.
Our universe at present according to estimates has less than 20% of the density of matter to stop it from expanding. For all intents and purposes it will continue to expand.
The universe is not beginning-less. It was "born" out of the Big Bang and had a beginning. Some people maintain the unscientific idea that the universe is beginning-less. This has been proven wrong according to the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. In a closed system (by closed here we mean one which does not take energy from the outside- this is different to the closed definition given above), entropy (a measure of the degree to which a systems energy is unavailable to perform useful work) increases with time. To restate this:
"In a system which doesn't take energy from the outside (like our universe), entropy increases with time."
If the universe had existed forever, we would see maximum entropy which we do not see at all, something referred to as the fate of excessive expansion.
The Dark Night Sky Paradox:
If the universe is infinite in spatial extent then light from infinite number of stars would always be pouring down on the earth from the skies. A simple mathematical calculation would show that the sky would never be dark under such circumstances. The paradox can ONLY be solved if we assume a finite age of the universe (a beginning). In such a case which corresponds to reality, we are only able to see the light which has had time to travel across space to earth since the beginning of the particular star from which it comes (Davies, 46).
God needed for the Big Bang:
1. The Flatness Problem in Cosmology:
The actual density of the universe is average amount of matter or mass-energy per unit of space. If the universe's actual density is greater than a particular critical density then the universe will eventually stop expanding. Since after more than 10 billion years of expanding, the universes actual density is pretty close to its critical density, scientists conclude that at the time of the Big Bang, these two figures must have been very close to each other.
They do not know why this was so. If it had not been so, and the actual density differed from the critical by even a tiny amount, either way, our universe would have ceased to exist after only a few million years. This is termed as the flatness problem. They do not know why both the figures were where they were supposed to be to make our universe still exist after 10 billion years.

If the universe had been expanding too rapidly, the clouds that formed the galaxies would have been spread thin and pulled apart before gravity could dominate..... On the other hand if the universe had started out expanding too slowly, it would have come to a halt and started to recollapse with galaxies falling towards each other. (Gribbins, Rees 17)
If we push back to the earliest time at which our theories of physics can be thought to have any validity, the implication is that the "density-parameter" was SET in the beginning, with an accuracy of 1 part in 10 60 (10 followed by 60 zeroes). Changing the parameter, either way, by a fraction given by a decimal point followed by sixty zeroes and a 1 (0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001) would have made the universe unsuitable for life as we know it. (Gribbens, Rees 18)
2. The Horizon or the Isotropy Problem:
At around 300,00 years after the Big Bang, all parts of the universe even separated by more than 20 times the horizon distance, and expanding in opposite directions, in causally disconnected regions (i.e. no cause or physical effect could pass from one region to the other), began to expand with the same expansion rate and temperature.
No natural explanation exists to explain how a chaotic explosion, the Big Bang resulted in a uniform expansion pattern among causally disconnected regions, expanding in opposite directions.
Calculations indicate that when the universe was a trillionth of a trillionth of a trillionth second old, it consisted of 10 80 causally disconnected regions, and no physical effect could have traveled from one region to another and yet 300,000 years after, cosmic background radiation proves that they all started expanding with the same expansion rate and the same temperature.

Calculations by cosmologists indicate that matter in the early universe was uniformly distributed and hence gravitational contractions (contraction is opposite of expansion) in an expanding universe could not have taken place due to natural circumstances unless some special features were built into they system about one second after the big bang by intelligence.
If the Big Bang was a chance event what we would see would be a disorderly arrangement of matter with no galaxies and no order. Things were controlled by an intelligent designer
".....and we decked the skies of the world with lamps.... such is the measuring of the Mighty (God), the Knower." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 41, Verse 12
Einstein's General Theory of Relativity leads scientists to conclude that in its earliest instant, the universe was infinitely dense where its diameter was zero, i.e. nothing, yes NOTHING. God creates out of nothing just like the Qur'an suggests.
Are there natural and sufficient reasons for all of the universes physical characteristics?
There can be natural and sufficient reasons for some physical characteristics of the universe but not all. Without suitable constants, life as we know it wouldn't have existed and there would be no one to wonder about the cosmos.
Consider this analogy by a Canadian philosopher, John Leslie, suppose you are facing execution by a fifty man firing squad. The bullets are fired and you find that all have missed their target. Had they not done so you would not have survived to ponder the matter. But realizing that you are alive, you would legitimately be perplexed and wonder why (Gribbens, Rees 271).
1. The law of conservation of mass and energy:
The mass-energy in the universe neither increases or decreases. Therefore the total amount of mass-energy in the universe has been the same and will remain the same. If someone were to figure out the mass-energy total in the universe and give it a figure say X, no natural explanation can exist on why it is X and not X+100 or X-100 and so on.
2. The Constants:
There are no natural and sufficient reasons why all of the universes constants have the values they have. If they had different values, life would cease to exist. However they have the values they have regardless of any physical necessity if we take God out of the picture. Examples like, the Planck's constant, the speed of light, the electron charge, the gravitational constant. These constants with the exception of the gravitational constant have not varied more than one percent since the start of the universe and are same throughout. The gravitational constant has varied around ten percent.
It should be noted at this point that these constants have been there since the beginning of the universe, a time before life appeared. These and other strange laws of nature defy any natural and sufficient reasons for their existence, the only valid explanation left is that they were set by an intelligent designer:
"... the measuring of the Mighty (God), the Knower." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 41, Verse 12
According to the principle of sufficient reason stated by G.W. Leibniz, "No fact can be real or existing and no statement true unless there is a SUFFICIENT reason why anything is the way it is and not otherwise."
Whereas scientists face an enigma here which threatens the edifice of their work, the followers of the Qur'an face no such enigma at all. God is the sufficient reason. The cause of the constants:
"To Him submits whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth.." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 3, Verse 83
Suitable Constants:
i) ALL protons in the universe have a positive charge of 1.6 * 10 -19 coulomb. This causes the various protons in the atoms to repel one another, but at the same time they stay together since the attraction is 100 times stronger than the repulsion.
Now the proton has a mass that is 1836 times that of an electron. YET for some mysterious reason the charge on the electron is the same as the proton, 1.6 * 10 -19 coulomb. Suppose the proton had a lesser charge than what it actually does, there is no reason why it shouldn't have, there is no natural explanation on why it does, then the attraction between protons would be much more than we see with present figures and they would collide more.
This, scientists say would lead to the stars using up their thermo-nuclear fuel in their cores much faster and dying out in about 100 million years. On our planet it too about 3 billion years for life to appear. If the lives of stars were 100 million years then life could exist nowhere on the universe. An intelligent designer put the figures where they were supposed to be, at 1.6 * 10 -19.
ii) The Strong Force: The neutrons and protons in the nucleus of the atoms are referred to as nucleons, since they exist in the nucleus. If the neutrons and the protons are separated by more than a hundred billionth of a centimeter there is no mutual attraction between them. However when separated by a distance of less than ten trillionth of a centimeter, the feel a strong force of attraction. This is termed as a Strong Force or Strong Nuclear Force.
Scientists calculate that during the first few minutes after the expansion began, roughly 25% of the hydrogen in the universe was converted to helium. Scientists say that if the strong force had been any more intense (which requires a shift in a trillionth of a centimeter or less), all of the universe's hydrogen would have been converted to helium. In such a case life would never exist for
3 reasons:
i) No water without hydrogen.
ii) Hydrogen is necessary for proteins and nucleic acids needed for life.
iii) Stars that have only helium are extremely short lived and could never reach the three billion years figure that our system took for life to appear.
What if the strong force were a little weaker by a trillionth of a centimeter or less, things just wouldn't exist as the protons could not stay together in the cores of atoms. It is an acknowledged fact that if the Strong force was not between 0.1 f and 2 f (where f is the strong force constant) life would not exist and nor would any order like we see it.
The difference between the two figures is less than microscopic and there is no explanation on why the numbers were where they were. That happening by chance is by itself, other things being constant, one in one million. When you take into account all the other constants, the figure gets so small that to believe that life originated without an intelligent designer becomes more absurd than a myth.
The law of conservation of mass and energy discussed earlier makes it impossible to attribute a natural cause to the start of the universe. The energy had to come from somewhere. The energy whose radiation we still receive was provided by God.
"...whenever he decrees a matter, he says be and it is. The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 2, Verse 117."
After exhausting all the other alternatives, the only hypothesis that is supported by facts is that God created the heavens and the earth.
At Planck time (which is 10 -43 seconds) which was a microscopic fraction of the first second after the universe began to expand, all the matter that we observe in the universe was less than a tenth of a millimeter across in volume.
According to the black hole theory, the gravity of this singularity would be so massive that apart from a faint type of quantum radiation nothing at all could escape from it. Astronomers know that no natural cause could have caused the explosion of energy given the gravity of the singularity. No known natural force could have overcome even a tenth of the gravity of the singularity at the time of the big bang.
"....and we split them apart." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 21, Verse 30
Consider this law in science: Occam's Razor: "When giving explanations, it is better to give a simpler explanation that assumes the existence of fewer unproved things."
Apart from providing even more credibility to what we've established above this idea throws more light on:
i) Why there is just one God and not gods given the organization and the uniformity in the universe. The fundamental postulate of Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity state this unity of law phenomena in nature. Consider what the Qur'an says in Chapter 21, Verse 22
ii) If there were more than one God then different parts of the universe would not have worked with such uniformity as they did and as is always the case (when two or more create something), parts of the matter in the universe would have originated at different times. Yet scientists and laws are agreed on that the Big Bang was when all energy and matter originated in the universe. The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 29, Verse 31 should throw light on this.
The Planck Constant:
The Planck Constant is fixed at 6.6 * 10 -23 erg per second. It is a figure that shows up in all major equations used by nuclear physicists. The energy used by anything is always some multiple of Planck's constant. There is no natural reason why the Planck's constant is where it is, it could be a lot higher or a lot lower, but it has been balanced at this level without any natural reason.
The PC (Planck's constant) appears in an important formula used to determine the "Fine structure Constant." The formula is (e 2 / h * c) where "e" is the electron charge, "h" is the PC and "c" is the speed of light.
If the Planck's constant had been greater by just 0.00000001, all the stars in our system would be red. If it was lower by just 0.00000001 all the stars in our system would be blue.
The problem with red stars is that they never erupt as supernova and if there are no supernova there are no higher level elements which are necessary for life. If there were no supernova, there would be no Carbon to start carbon-based life like us.
Blue stars on the other hand burn only for a short time, i.e. around 150 million years. However it took nearly 3 billion years or more for life to emerge on earth. 150 million just wouldn't cut it. The constant was set by the designer to make sure that life emerges when and where He decided.
The Speed of Light
The speed of light is set at 3 * 108 meters per second. It is an important constant which figures in Einstein’s
Famous formula E=m*c2.
"E" is the energy produced when matter is converted to energy in thermonuclear reactions in stars. If the speed of light had been just a tiny fraction higher (and there is no natural reason why it isn’t) then thermonuclear reactions would produce over 10,000 times more energy and all the fuel in the star core would be used up much quicker. Stars would die out much sooner than the 3 billion years it took for life to emerge on earth. Hence life would never have happened.
On the other hand if it was just a little tiny fraction lower, the early universe expansion would have been much slower and long ago the universe would have suffered a gravitational collapse. So both ways there would be no life. The constant was set by an intelligent designer who had life as the goal.
Neutron Mass
Neutrons have a constant mass of 1.67 * 10 -24 grams. When outside an atom a neutron is very unstable and quickly decays into a proton and electron. Inside the nucleus it is stable and doesn't decay. Suppose that the mass of the neutron was 2% greater than what it is now (and why shouldn't it have been?) neutrons would rapidly decay and an atom would become unstable. As a fact, no higher elements would exist which are necessary for life. The only element in the entire universe would be hydrogen.
On the other hand, if the neutron had a mass less than its current mass by a tiny fraction, the protons would become unstable this is because now the protons would have a higher mass than neutrons in the nucleus and they would decay into neutrons or positive positrons or pions. According to physicists, if the neutron mass was 0.998 of its present mass, the decay of protons would make the existence of atoms impossible. There would be no life. The designer had life in mind when He set the balance.
"...He (God) has set the balance." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 55, Verse 7
Donald Page of the Princeton Institute of Advanced Study has calculated the odds against the formation of our universe without God putting in the necessary constants. And the figure comes out to be one out of 10,000,000 124. To see how impossible it is compare this number to the total amount of subatomic particles in the whole universe which has been calculated to be 10 80.
Beginning-less is illogical, philosophically speaking:
If the universe was not created then it must have existed for an infinite time in the past. However, we being in the present makes such a statement preposterous. It is not possible to cross an actual infinity. No matter how much you count or how much time passes, there would still be more to count or more time to pass. This is what the definition of actual infinity is.
It is non-finite it has no room for growth. If the past were infinite, then to get to the present moment, we would have had to cross an actual infinite. In the language of math and logic this is gibberish. It is just like saying that you can jump out of a bottomless pit. This concept throws light on the attributes of God, the creator also. The one who started this himself must have had to be logically speaking, timeless and unchanging.
DNA: Mark of the Creator
Some atheist scientists who were unaware of the wonderful program, the complex mechanism of RNA and DNA were of the "out-moded" opinion that due to favorable physical influences, chemical compounds were able to spontaneously combine in an organized fashion and hence, were by magic, able to produce the fantastic complex which we call a cell, and then even more fantastic complexes like rudimentary living organism.
Wow, given that all their intelligence and directed efforts to date have been unable to form one single living cell in the laboratory, shows how much credibility we need to give to this fairy tale.
Indeed for the smallest macromolecules of a cell to form as a result of repeated attempts, such enormous quantities of matter would have been processed that they would have filled colossal masses on the scale comparable to the volume of the earth itself. Contrary to this we see beauty and harmony in nature and variety of all created things. Chance is totally inconceivable.
Oparine a modern Russian biologist, who is a well known materialist, rejects outright the theory of chance in the formation of life. An article:"The current state of the problem of the origin of life and its future perspectives," states from him, "The entire network of perpetual preservation and reproduction of the totality of conditions set by the external environment. This highly organized orientation characteristic of life cannot be the result of chance."
The statement atheists make is tantamount to saying, and note this, "Iron ore and coal at high temperatures spontaneously formed steel particles and then those steel articles without any intelligence involved by magic formed the Eiffel Tower and other structures."
This statement sounds stupid, but saying that a cell formed by itself is even more stupid because a cell is MUCH MORE complex than any steel structure that human **INTELLIGENCE** (not chance) has built.
In his book, The Origin of Life, Oparine draws particularly relevant comparisons to convince the lay man of the illogicality of theories pointing towards chance.
In 1954, he wrote: "It is as if one jumbled together the printing blocks representing the twenty-eight letters of the alphabet, in hope that by CHANCE, they will fall into a pattern of a poem that we know. Only through knowledge and careful arrangement of the letters and words in the poem however, can we produce the poem from the letters (page 52)."
Each cell in the human body has a "program" analogous to a computer program written down, so well organized and regulated so as to function properly, the slightest malfunction leads to deformities and monstrous growths [cancer is the case in point]. Each cell functions like a computer, programmed to perform specific functions. It is common knowledge that a computer will only function if it has been programmed.
Without programming you would never see what you see on this page. A fact that implies the existence of a programming intellect, that provides the information necessary to operate the system. The programming intellect for the billions of living cells, unvarying and uniform in his essence of programming is the One God.
He (Moses) said (to pharaoh), "Our Lord is He who gave to everything its creation, moreover GUIDED it." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 20, Verse 5
There is a genuine enigma among the community of biologists: The origin of the genetic code and how it increases in information which leads to more and more complex structures. The only valid explanation given the intelligent nature of the messages contained in the DNA is that an intelligent designer was involved. We call him Allah, the God.
The Enigma of Life’s Origin
The break between the living and non-living is the most fundamental of all discontinuities seen in nature. Natural Selection failed to explain this discontinuity, just as it failed to explain the discontinuity between species which biochemistry made clear.
The "soup-theory" mentioned briefly above is the most in thing among all the theories of the origin of life in the scientific community. However, it poses many questions and big problems and hence just like the pre-Miller time, it still remains an enigma.
i)The "dawn-rocks" of Western Greenland, the earliest dated rocks on earth, considered to be about 3900 Million years old (dating from about 400 million years after the formation of the earth) don't show any trace of abiotically produced organic compounds. Sediments from various parts of the earth dated between 3900 and 3500 million years old also show no signs of any abiotically produced organic compounds. Like is the usual case with evolutionary theory by Natural selection, paleontology doesn't support it.
ii) In the Presence of oxygen, any organic compounds formed on the early earth would be rapidly oxidized and degraded. It is for this reason that advocates of the "soup" theory suggest (without any geo-chemical evidence to support what they are conjecturing) an early earth without oxygen. Only such an atmosphere would protect the compounds which would then collect as the "soup".
However this poses further problems. Without oxygen, there is no ozone layer in the upper atmosphere, which protects the earth from a lethal dose of ultra-violet radiation. In such a scenario, any organic compounds formed would break down in an instant. The empirical absence of organic compounds in Martina soil proves this. The late Carl Sagan recognized this when he stated that in the absence of oxygen, a lethal dose of ultraviolet radiation would reach the earth in 0.3 seconds.
iii) The presence of water inhibits amino acids from joining together to form proteins, since amino acids dissolve readily in water. To overcome this however our ingenious atheist scientists have tried to "invent" another scenario. Sidney Fox says that the amino acids got washed to a hot pan like land. However experiments have shown that heating amino acids gives no proteins but a dark tar.
However they did some other manipulations by mixing and matching one part of three different amino acids to a beaker of purified amino acids they managed some joining among them. However, that didn't yield any proteins but a chemically different product which is now called proteinoid. The scientific community has thrown this theory out the door. One of the strongest critics of this theory was Stanley Miller.
Hoyle and his colleague Wickramasinge calculated the odds of the random formation of a single enzyme from amino acids anywhere on the early earth's surface as being 1 in 10 20 ( add 20 zeros after 10 to appreciated how impossible it is to get one enzyme anywhere on this earth from amino acids given the soup).
But wait there are not only one but two thousand enzymes, so the chance of obtaining all of these randomly would be 1 in (10 20) 2000. The number is so small that it cannot be distinguished from zero. It could never have happened even if the whole universe was soup.
Perverted Standards:
The human eye cannot see x-rays, electricity, magnetic fields etc, yet no man of science would dispute with their existence based on fact and proof. Yet with just as much or more proof on God being the creator, the same scientist makes the excuse,” We cannot see him."
If today we were to receive even one intelligent message from space, scientists as a whole after confirmation would conclude that yes, intelligent life in space has been confirmed. Yet when millions of intelligent messages are found in our DNA, the same scientists don't even look at it in consideration of an intelligent creator. Perverted standards.
The fact is that the world owes its being to something other than itself. The laws of nature did not create the Universe since they cease to exist at the earliest point in creation. The laws of mechanics did not originate the laws of mechanics because when the universe was a singularity, they did not exist.
The laws of evolution don't come about through the laws of evolution because in order to work they require a pre-existing order and pre-existing entities governed by that order.

"If there is only one God, then why are there so many religions?"

The Answer:

Allah does not force anyone to submit to Him. He has layed out a clear path and then
made it known to them the two ways (Heaven or Hell). The person is always free to make
his or her own choice. There is not complusion in the way of "Islam." Whoever choses to
worship Allah without partners and is devoted to Him and is obeying His commands as
much as possible, has grasped the firm handhold that will never break. Whoever denies
God and choses some other way to worship or not to believe at all, for them there is an
eternal punishment that is most horrible (Hell).
All religions originated with Allah and then people began to add or take away from the
teachings so as to take control over each other. Man made religions are an abomination
before the Lord and will never be accepted. He will only accept true submission,
obedience and in purity and peace to His commandments.

"How do you know that the Quran is really from God?"

The Answer:

Muslims have something that offers the clearest proof of all - The Holy. There is no other
book like it anywhere on earth. It is absolutely perfect in the Arabic language. It has no
mistakes in grammar, meanings or context. The scientific evidences are well known
around the entire world, even amongst non-Muslim scholars. Predictions in the Quran
have come true; and its teachings are clearly for all people, all places and all times. No one
has been able to produce a book like it, nor ten chapters like it, nor even one chapter like
it. It was memorized by thousands of people during the lifetime of Muhammad, peace be
upon him, and then this memorization was passed down from teacher to student for
generation after generation, from mouth to ear and from one nation to another. Today
every single Muslim has memorized some part of the Quran in the original Arabic
language that it was revealed in over 1,400 years ago, even though most of them are not
Arabs. There are over nine million (9,000,000) Muslims living on the earth today who
have totally memorized the entire Quran, word for word, and can recite the entire Quran,
in Arabic just as Muhammad, peace be upon him, did 14 centuries ago.


"Can you prove there is a God?"

The Answer:

Can you prove that you exist? Yes, of course you can. You merely use your senses to determine that you can see,
hear, feel, smell, taste and you have emotions as well. All of this is a part of your existence. But this is not how
we perceive God in Islam. We can look to the things that He has created and the way that He cares for things
and sustains us, to know that there is no doubt of His existence.
Think about this the next time that you are looking up at the moon or the stars on a clear night; could you drop
a drinking glass on the sidewalk and expect that it would hit the ground and on impact it would not shatter, but
it would divide up into little small drinking glasses, with iced tea in them? Of course not.
And then consider if a tornado came through a junkyard and tore through the old cars; would it leave behind a
nice new Mercedes with the engine running and no parts left around? Naturally not.
Can a fast food restaurant operate itself without any people there? That's crazy for anyone to even think about.
After considering all of the above, how could we look to the universe above us through a telescope or observe
the molecules
