To Those Around Qaddafi time to leave him alone

To the smart opposition of Libya use this request from Qaddafi against him. He is basically seeking now the security of himself and his family. So the fight was not about Libya or any principles he was fighting for power and when he found that America and even the Gulf countries want no fly zone and he will be likely bombed he wants to escape. Time to the people around Qaddafi to leave him alone I am sure if you leave him before he leaves you the Libyan people will forgive you.

Gadhafi Steps Up Airstrikes; West Weighs Rebels' Plea for No-Fly Zone

From: http://www.aol.com/

Dana Kennedy Contributor

Western allies are weighing military options against Libya, including a no-fly zone over the country, after forces loyal to Moammar Gadhafi unleashed a weekend of furious air assaults against rebels fighting his regime. At the White House today, President Barack Obama warned that Gadhafi's supporters "will be held accountable for whatever violence continues to take place," The Associated Press reported."We've got NATO consulting in Brussels around a wide range of potential options, including potential military options, in response to the violence that continues to take place in Libya," Obama said, the BBC reported. "We send a very clear message to the Libyan people that we will stand with them in the face of unwarranted violence and the continuing suppression of democratic ideals that we have seen there."The U.N. is drafting a resolution to establish a no-fly zone over Libya, although there's no indication such a move -- widely seen as fraught with peril -- is imminent, CBS reported. The option is expected to be discussed Thursday when Defense Secretary Robert Gates meets with NATO defense ministers, the network said.Gadhafi and the rebels are at such a standoff that Libyan political experts say the fighting, which escalated Sunday with airstrikes by Gadhafi forces in the towns of Bin Jawad and Ras Lanouf, is turning into a bloody civil war that may drag on for months.

Hussein Malla, AP
Libyan rebels run away as smoke rises after an air strike by Libyan warplanes in the oil town of Ras Lanouf, eastern Libya, Monday."Why the world is quiet about this crisis?" Dr. Mohamed al-Sedeek said on the pan-Arab TV channel al-Jazeera."There is an acute shortage of medical supplies and medical personnel to help the high number of wounded. The youngest victim was a 2-year-old girl who died from a fatal gun wound. Most of the fatal wounds are to the head and chest."But calls for help from rebels and their supporters were complicated by news of a botched, cloak-and-dagger mission to eastern Libya by armed British agents and Special Air Service forces trying to establish contacts with the rebels. The eight MI-6 officers and SAS soldiers were detained two days by rebels and then deported Sunday in a mission approved by Foreign Secretary William Hague, The Guardian reported."They were withdrawn yesterday after a serious misunderstanding about their role which led to their detention," Hague told Parliament in London today.Australia's ABC News said the rebels were annoyed that the British SAS entered the country in helicopters without warning in the middle of the night carrying "guns, explosives and passports of multiple nationalities."Gadhafi's increasingly ferocious use of warplanes to crush the rebels hasn't intimidated them, because they say they will not even consider negotiating with him unless he cedes power. At the same time, the protesters admit they can only fight Gadhafi's forces on the ground and are outgunned every time he uses air power. What many want is a no-fly zone, though Gates said last week it would be tantamount to going to war. British officials warned today that the West has to be very careful not to play into Gadhafi's hands by instigating military intervention.Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, said last week that a no-fly zone would be "an extraordinarily complex operation to set up.," Bloomberg News reported."We don't want a foreign military intervention, but we do want a no-fly zone," rebel fighter Ali Suleiman told the AP.He added that the rebels can take on "the rockets and the tanks, but not Gadhafi's air force."Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and John Kerry, D-Mass., favor the no-fly zone. Kerry played down the complexity of a no-fly zone and suggested additional alternatives as well."That's actually not the only option for what one could do," said Kerry, who saw combat in Vietnam. "One could crater the airports and the runways and leave them incapable of using them for a period of time."Mohamed Eljahmi, a Libyan-American activist in touch with the rebels, told AOL News today that the West needs to impose a no-fly zone and questioned why it hasn't."Secretary Gates' assertion that he opposes a no-fly zone because he fears for American lives is not believable, because Libyans in general feel that the Libyan army is weak and that Gadhafi's air defenses are either non-existent or very weak," Eljahmi said."The general feeling among Libyans is the West is waiting the conflict out, and this only helps Gadhafi. That the West's main concern is oil and paranoia about illegal immigration and al-Qaida, but there is little concern for loss of Libyan lives."An Al-Jazeera correspondent reported this morning that the rebels in the town of Bin Jawad appeared to be "losing some of their momentum and were fading a bit."Gadhafi is proving as determined as the rebels. He won't budge from his stance that al-Qaida is to blame for the unrest in Libya and that the international media have distorted the situation in the country. He denied that his forces are shooting protesters. In an interview today with France 24, Gadhafi warned through an interpreter that without Libya, al-Qaida might not be so contained in the Middle East, and Europe could be overwhelmed with sub-Saharan African immigrants.

"Libya plays a vital role in regional peace and world peace," he said. "We are an important partner in fighting al-Qaida."There are millions of blacks who could come to the Mediterranean to cross to France and Italy, and Libya plays a role in security in the Mediterranean," he said. The rebel National Libyan Council, which speaks for the eastern regions of the country it controls, said today it will talk with Gadhafi only if he agrees to leave."We have made it clear all along that any negotiations must be on the basis that Gadhafi will step down," rebel official Ahmed Jabreel told Reuters. "There can be no other compromise."

The west has a golden opportunity to improve its relation with the Muslim and Arab world by interfering to save the Libyans from the ruthless dictator Qaddafi. He states that he is saving the west from Al Qada while in fact his oppression and corruption as well his Arab tyrants friends were the best recruiter to Al Qada. Extremists actually have no case when the tyrants are removed.

Road trip to the end of the world

From Jacksonville to Tampa, Florida (CNN) -- If you thought you had less than three perfectly healthy months to live, what would you do? Would you travel? Spend time with loved ones? Appreciate the joy life has given you?
Or would you ditch your kids and grandkids, join strangers in a caravan of RVs and travel the country warning people about the end of the world?
If you're Sheila Jonas, that's exactly what you'd do.
"This is so serious, I can't believe I'm here," says Jonas, who's been on the road since fall. Like her cohorts, she's "in it 'til the end," which she believes is coming in May.
She won't talk about her past because, "There is no other story. ... We are to warn the people. Nothing else matters."
Such faith and concern drove her and nine others, all loyal listeners of the Christian broadcasting ministry Family Radio, to join the radio station's first "Project Caravan" team.
Learn about other doomsdays that have come and gone
They walked away from work, families and communities in places as far-flung as California, Kansas, Utah and New Jersey. Among them are an electrician, a TV satellite dish installer, a former chef, an international IT consultant and a man who had worked with the developmentally disabled.
They gave away cars, pets, music collections and more to relatives, friends and neighbors. Some items they kicked to the curb. In homes that weren't emptied, clothes are still hanging in closets, and dishes, books and furniture -- including one man's antique collection -- are gathering dust. Unless, of course, they've been claimed by others. If you believe it's all going to be over soon, why would it matter if you close the front door, much less lock it, when you walk away?
It's a mid-winter morning in Jacksonville, Florida, when CNN joins this faithful caravan. The "ambassadors," as they call themselves, are easy to spot. They are the 10 people milling about in an RV park drawing stares, eye rolls, under-the-breath mutters and, at times, words of support.
They're wearing sweatshirts and other clothing announcing the "Awesome News," that Judgment Day is coming on May 21. On that day, people who will be saved will be raptured up to heaven. The rest will endure exactly 153 days of death and horror before the world ends on October 21. That message is splashed across their five sleek, vinyl-wrapped RVs, bearing this promise: "The Bible guarantees it!"
Maneuvering onto the road with such a serious statement takes time and patience.
The five vehicles in this caravan are numbered 11 through 15, and the ambassadors line them up in numerical order before hitting the road. They work hard to stay in one lane and keep other cars from breaking into the convoy. That's the best way to be noticed, they say.
The drivers, their vehicles spread out in a parking lot, spend about 10 minutes doing a choreographed RV dance to get in proper formation.
From the back of No. 14, we hold tight to our equipment, and our seats, as the jerking around begins.
Reverse. Forward. Turn to the left.
"Eleven, 15, go back please," a voice crackles over the walkie-talkies.
Spin around. Veer right. Stop. Wait.
"Is everyone in order and ready to come out of there?" Crackle, crackle. "13?"
"Ten-four."
"I hope the Rapture is smoother than this," one driver says.
Since this inaugural caravan team embarked on this doomsday journey, two other teams have set out elsewhere -- one is in Pennsylvania, another in Texas. A fourth and final group will soon follow.
They have been chosen by God to spread the news few understand, the ambassadors say. They liken themselves to biblical figures, including Jonah, who God commanded to warn the people of Nineveh of their city's destruction.
They say their work comes with ample precedence, that the God they believe in would never bring judgment on his people without warning them first. Their job is to "sound the alarm," they say, pointing to Ezekiel 33. Just by being out in their RVs, wearing their T-shirts, jackets and caps, and passing out their pamphlets -- which they call tracts -- they are fulfilling a mission.
The RVs pulled out of the Oakland, California, Family Radio headquarters in late October. The odometers are nearing 30,000 miles as this team, which first traversed the Pacific Northwest before weaving its way through the South, heads toward its next destination: Tampa, Florida.
But avast, ye scurvy readers, this isn't just any time in Tampa. Awaiting the ambassadors are, by some estimates, 400,000 people gathering for the Gasparilla Pirate Fest -- a Mardi Gras, of sorts, for throngs of drunken buccaneers.
Blanketing the world with doom
The ambassadors each remember the first time they heard Family Radio.
Adam Larsen, 32, was a student in Phoenix, Arizona, working nights as a security guard with his Bible already open in front of him. Darryl Keitt, 51, remembers flipping through stations back in 1976, when he might have been sporting his 4-inch platform shoes, looking for disco music.
Team leader Fred Store, 65, was road tripping between Sacramento and Bakersfield, California, when he first tuned in to the station's inspirational music and talk 15 years ago.
John Gallegos, 75, found it five years earlier while driving a truck between Utah and Wyoming. And David Liquori, 45, was so taken when he stumbled upon it 28 years ago that he's gone stretches as long as three years in which he's listened all day, every day.
The voice that grabbed most of them belongs to Harold Camping, host of the program "Open Forum" and the force behind Family Stations Inc., home to Family Radio.
Starting with one station in Oakland, California, in 1959, Camping's Family Radio now boasts 66 stations across the United States. Thanks to strategically placed satellites, shortwave radio and the internet, the message has gone global in 61 languages.
"We pretty much blanket the whole world," says Camping, 89.
This degreed engineer, who calls the Bible his "university," believes the church age ended and the "Great Tribulation" (the years leading up to the end, he says) began on May 21, 1988, when Satan entered the pews. Truth, he says, can be found only in the Bible and not through the mouths of clergy.
He has dissected scripture and crunched his biblical numbers to come up with the fateful dates. He rattles off mathematical explanations of how he did this work, throwing out Bible verses and calculations that leave an outsider's head spinning.
But Camping also happens to be the man who once said September 6, 1994, would be the big day.
He explains now that he originally thought 2011 was the year, but a few verses tripped him up and he concluded that the Great Tribulation might get cut short. There was still scripture he was grappling with, end-time signs that were to come -- he points to the gay pride movement as one of them -- and truths that had yet to be revealed, "but because of the urgency of time I had to get it out quickly," he says of his previous warning.
This time around, he has no doubts.
"I know it's absolutely true, because the Bible is always absolutely true," he says. "If I were not faithful that would mean that I'm a hypocrite."
'Amazing how God works'
Behind the wheel of RV No. 14 is 32-year-old Adam Larsen, the youngest ambassador on this caravan team.
Larsen hands around his smartphone to share YouTube videos, including one showing billboards around the world proclaiming the May doomsday warning. Next he pulls out what looks like a glossy business card, one he says he likes to lodge in gas pump credit card slots so people are forced to see it. The card reads: "He is coming again! May 21, 2011."
Spreading this message alongside like-minded people is of great comfort to Larsen. Back home in Ellsworth, Kansas, he walked this end-time walk alone and didn't feel heard. The opportunity to focus full-time on what he believes, to serve God as a "moving billboard" in his RV, was one this avid hunter couldn't ignore.
"My favorite pastime is coon hunting," he says, referring to the raccoons he targets in rural Kansas. "I had to give that up, but this is far more important."
Much like the animals on Noah's ark, these ambassadors generally travel in pairs. Larsen's RV partner is Keitt, the former disco fan, of Elizabeth, New Jersey. He seems the most comfortable of the ambassadors talking to outsiders and doesn't incessantly quote scripture like others do. After he mentions that he's on a diet, he gets the humor when asked, "What's the point?"
When prodded to discuss their "bucket lists," most caravan members find the question absurd and dismiss it immediately. There's nothing they'd rather be doing now. But Keitt at least admits he would have liked to have gotten married before the world ended.
He'd been a seeker, someone who began looking for God and truth as a teen. He has family roots in a Pentecostal denomination, went to a Catholic school and has dabbled in everything from astrology and metaphysics to Eastern religions. His mother and brother converted to Islam.
Unlike some of the others, he says, he's lucky to have the ongoing love and support of his family, even though, "I'm sure, in the back of their minds, they're hoping I'll come to my senses."
His current beliefs evolved gradually and became solidified about a year ago after he lost his job in social services, rebounded from a DUI arrest after a car wreck and found himself with the time -- and the need -- to study, pray and really listen to Family Radio.
"It's amazing how God works," he says. "You can be at your worst, and he'll lift you up."
Warning, not saving
The ambassadors stream into a Waffle House, one of their favorite Southern discoveries, for lunch before arriving in Tampa.
After bowing his head in prayer and biting into his BLT, Liquori, a loyal Family Radio listener from Long Island, New York, begins to offer glimpses into what he left behind.
Separated on and off from his wife for eight years, he texts with his 12-year-old son daily. He hopes the boy's mother will send the boy for a visit before it's all over. His family doesn't appreciate what he knows, he says. His father is a lapsed Catholic, his mother is Jewish -- he calls Judaism a "dead religion" -- and his brother is either an atheist or agnostic. He isn't sure.
But what he does know is that he feels closer to his fellow travelers than he does his family.
"We can only have intimate relationships with other children of God," he says.
Across from him sits Gallegos, from Utah -- at 75 the team's oldest member. While most all the ambassadors on this trip are single, divorced or separated, he is an exception.
He's left behind a wife of 53 years, a woman he says he was betrothed to at age 4. She shares his beliefs, he says, but wasn't up for hitting the road by RV. He also walked away from his 10 children and their families.
One might think this sort of separation would weigh on a man, but Gallegos says he misses his quality time with God more than his wife. He says he used to study scripture and engage in prayer 10 hours a day. Now Gallegos steals moments each morning with his heavily highlighted and tabbed Bible, and he reads verses to the group when they gather in circles for prayer.
He and the other caravan members say they may be the chosen ones to lead this charge, but they don't fight alone. With announcements made on Family Radio of their impending arrival in new cities, local listeners -- about 30 of them in Jacksonville, dozens of others in Tampa -- get in on the gospel action, too.
Part of that work is answering the challenge they hear most from Christians, who say the Bible teaches them no one can know when Judgment Day is coming.
That may be true, this group says, but as the end approaches the rules have changed. They say secrets God told to Daniel -- as in the Book of Daniel -- have now been unsealed, revealing new truths.
And now that they know what they believe to be true, their job is to warn -- not save -- others.
What a person can do upon hearing the warning remains slightly unclear. They want people to open Bibles and study for themselves. They suggest that everyone "cry for mercy."
But they also believe that before he created the world, God predetermined who will be saved when the Rapture comes. So if you're not part of the elect, the 2% to 3% of the world destined to be saved, what does it matter if you spend the next three months reciting scripture or, instead, kick back with an endless supply of doughnuts?
Their limited ability to help people doesn't dampen the enthusiasm once they hit Tampa in the late afternoon.
Ambassadors scout out the territory and begin making their presence known, as street vendors start staking their claim to areas along the next day's parade route.
Gallegos stands on a corner and holds up a sign announcing the end. A man in a truck spots the warning, leans out his window and screams, "Amen, amen, amen!" Gallegos, thrilled to have found a friend and taker, darts out into the street toward the truck, tract in hand.
Nearby stands Tony DeLLomo, 63. He sports a white sweatsuit with the words "Jesus is King of Kings" emblazoned in red across his chest, as well as a matching sweatband on his head that reads "Jesus saves." He's a fan of Family Radio and other ministries working in partnership to preach the same doomsday message -- organizations that include eBible Fellowship, Latter Rain, Bible Ministries International and WeCanKnow.com.
Ambassadors point to the existence of other like-minded groups as evidence that Family Radio is not a cult. Adds Camping, the head of Family Radio: "I don't have anybody under my control. They're volunteers. I'm just a teacher. I'm just showing them where to look in the Bible. The Bible is the authority."
Scholars say predictions of the end have come and gone throughout history, and Camping's latest interpretation is just one to add to a list that will continue to grow.
But DeLLomo doesn't care about what's happened, or not happened, in the past. He's been on the road warning of the end for 13 years, he says, before boasting -- with a smile -- that he'd just been kicked out of a Super Walmart.
Driving RV No. 15 through downtown Tampa as the sun sets and night falls, Liquori explains that security at malls and stores like Walmart -- among the places they like to frequent -- can pose obstacles when spreading the news.
"We try to obey the law of the land as much as possible, but when it comes to getting out the gospel, we must obey God, not man," he says.
They circle the darkening city streets in formation, the reflective lettering on their RVs shining brightly, hoping to inspire "shock and awe," Liquori says.
They want dropped jaws, pointed fingers, whipped-out cameras. But on this night, when most residents are likely home gearing up for Gasparilla, ironing their ruffled shirts and polishing their black boots, the reaction is negligible. The few people the RVs pass seem unfazed by the warning.
"I've learned to keep my expectations low. I don't want this to be an emotional trip," Liquori says, looking ahead to the next day's event. "I expect it's going to be a tough crowd. From what I've heard about Floridians, they can have attitudes and be feisty."
Swilling beer and scripture
The pirates arrive early, as do the warnings.
Arianna Ramrajie, of Ocala, Florida, has one she'd like to share.
On May 21, the sun will "turn red like blood," the Earth will open up, bodies will be strewn about and "some people will die for eternity," she says.
"It scares me a little bit because some people are going to die, and I think I'm one of them," she adds. "I'm trying to do good things, but I'm afraid I'm doing something bad."
Arianna is 7, after all, and being good all the time cannot be easy. Her father stands next to her, nodding his approval.
She and her family, who've come in to help for the day, wander off to pass out tracts amid people wearing tricorn hats, carrying plastic swords and swilling beer and cocktails.
Some ambassadors look for good corners to claim, as does a man dressed as a chicken who is here to announce his own awesome news: the opening of a nearby restaurant.
Keitt loads up his backpack with freshly folded tracts and prepares to face the growing throngs.
"I can't spend that much time with each person. It's all about numbers," he says. "You really have to be assertive in a crowd like this because they're so focused on one thing. Gasparilla -- and drinking."
As he rushes down a sidewalk, a man walking behind him pulls up his eye patch to read the warning on the back of Keitt's shirt and mutters, "Damn, you're depressing me."
Taking his spot, Keitt gets to work, armed with a stack of tracts.
"How about you ma'am? We're giving these out all over the country," he says to one, hand extended. "Will you be the fortunate one?" he asks another. "We're going all over the country with this message," he offers a third.
Plenty take the tracts, though many look at them confused -- or perhaps that puzzled look is just the beer talking. Others whisk by and ignore him. Some cry out that they're banking on the Mayans to give them another year. The ambassadors, of course, pooh-pooh talk of the world ending in 2012. Their RVs advertise their dismissal of that date by featuring the year 2012 circled in red with a slash through it.
One man takes a tract, looks at Keitt and says, "I'll put it on my calendar and come back on May 22 to see if you're still here."
Most of the ambassadors refuse to even think about waking up on May 22. They believe Christ will return on May 21, the Day of Rapture, that they will be saved and taken up to heaven, and that those left behind will face unspeakable suffering until the world ends.
"If I'm here on May 22, it simply means I wasn't one of the elect," Keitt tells us.
Screaming and reaching
A pirate ship rolls up the street, blaring the hip-hop hit, "Party Like a Rockstar," by the Shop Boyz. College students bump and grind, raise their hands in the air and toss back beers. Two young men embrace in a passionate kiss.
On the other side of the parade route, 7-year-old Arianna is dancing, too. She's beside her sister, pressed against the barricade, screaming and reaching for flying beads. She's laughing. She's in the moment. She's being a kid.
Behind her stands her father, his face serious, his arms crossed.
Later, beside a Family Radio RV, Arianna beams and shows off all her beads, the multitude that drape her neck and the tangle of colors that fill her little shoulder bag.
She reaches in, scoops out a handful and giggles as a long strand falls to the ground.
Buried beneath the bounty in her bag lies a reminder of the serious responsibility that awaits her in the coming months: A stack of tracts, announcing the end is near.

Many evidences that we are in the end of time and the return of Jesus Peace be upon him is close in few years. One of the evidences is Israel back in the holy land after 2000 years as prophecied in Jeudism, Chrisitanity and Islam. Two earthquaqes and mishaps as we see it now. three The widspread tyranny and injustices in the world. Four the presensce of Al Mahdi Al Muntazer me or as Christians falslay think he is the anti-christ. The rupture as some christians think is that the Church will be lift to meet Jesus in the air. For Muslims no one is flying up Jesus will descend. The end of the church age before his descent is likely due to conversion of Christians to Islam willingly no compulsion in religion or back to the same Church that was at the time of Jesus.

Ask these scholars to say publically that I am not Al Mahdi Al Muntazer. The know that God sent me to liberate Muslims from oppression, corruption and injustices and they are standing with the tyrant of Saudi and his family. Al Faten is made by them not by Al Mahdi Al Muntazer who called for years for peacefull changes in the Arab world. The Arab tyrants and their schoolars if had some respect to their religion they would contacted and sit with me and find out what we can do to have a peaceful transition in the Arab world. They did not try to contact so I have to call for peaceful revolutions. The way it goes is like this overwhelming peaceful revolution that will make us win people hearts and minds both internal and external. The tyrants have three choices one to fight like crazy Qaddafi who will be dead in a short while or step down early with no resistance which will be the best or with some resistance like in Egypt and Tunis which made the public very angry and ready to persecute them for the money they stole and the torture they committed. Do no think ever that some of the great American senators look with any respect to these tyrants they would not like to have to see them except for their support for the war on terror. In reality the Arab tyrants are the best requiters for the extremists. So for the Scholars of the king you are standing against God and his prophecy I am only a tool or a puppet in God's hand he guides me to do what I need to do to get the world ready for Jesus Second Coming.

U.S. Senators Call for No-Flight Zone Over Libya

From: http://www.nytimes.com/

By JOSEPH BERGER
Published: March 6, 2011

Despite skepticism from Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates, three influential United States senators from both political parties on Sunday called for the United States to consider carving out a no-flight zone in Libya to prevent Col. Muammar Qaddafi from massacring the rebels trying to overthrow him.

But the Obama administration continued to resist such appeals.
“Lots of people throw around phrases like no-fly zone — they talk about it as though it’s just a video game,” William M. Daley, the new White House chief of staff, said in at appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press” television news program.
Senator John Kerry, the Massachusetts Democrat who chairs the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, challenged Mr. Gates’s admonition that establishing a no-flight zone required the United States to attack Libya’s antiaircraft installations and other air defenses.
“Well, that’s actually not the only option for what one could do ," Mr. Kerry said, in what sounded like a rebuke to a cabinet member, on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “One could crater the airports and the runways and leave them incapable of using them for a period of time.”
Senator Kerry pointed out that Libya’s air force is small and that the United States would consider trying to ground Libyan planes only if Mr. Qaddafi uses his air force “as a means of massacring large number of civilians.” He also said that establishing a no-flight zone would not require a long-term American or Western commitment, as was the case in Iraq and Bosnia.
Mr. Kerry’s support for a no-flight zone was echoed by two Republicans who spoke on the Sunday television news shows — Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the Senate minority leader, and Senator John McCain of Arizona, the Republican presidential candidate in 2008.
Mr. Gates, the Obama administration’s most prominent Republican, testified Wednesday about the risks of a no-flight zone before the House Appropriations Committee just as Libyan forces loyal to Colonel Qaddafi were bombing insurgents outside Tripoli. He said such a strategy would require “a big operation in a big country” and scoffed at “loose talk about some of these military options.”
“Let’s just call a spade a spade,” Mr. Gates said last week. “A no-fly zone begins with an attack on Libya to destroy the air defenses. That’s the way you do a no-fly zone. And then you can fly planes around the country and not worry about our guys being shot down. But that’s the way it starts.”
Mr. Daley took pains Sunday to support Mr. Gates, saying Mr. Gates “knows the difficulty of war and the challenges.” And while President Obama said last week that Colonel Qaddafi had to go, Mr. Daley, when pressed, would not say that removing the Libyan strongman was vital to the interests of the United States — a threshold that the Obama administration would presumably want to meet if it ordered military intervention.
“It’s in our interest as human beings,” Mr. Daley said.
Mr. Kerry urged Western powers not only to provide humanitarian aid but to turn over $30 billion in frozen Libyan assets to the insurgents. He also said he assumes that weapons supplied by the West “are going to find their way over there in the course of the next weeks.”
Senator McConnell said a no-flight zone was “worth considering,” and he urged the administration to explore other options like “aiding and arming the insurgents.” But he cautioned that the United States was “not sure who the insurgents are,” so it “ought to make sure who we’re dealing with here.”
He too said he did not believe Libya was “vital to our interests,” but said that the United States “ought to look for ways of being helpful to those seeking to overthrow dictators, short of sending our own personnel.”
Mr. McCain, speaking on ABC’s “This Week with Christiane Amanpour,” was asked about Mr. Gates’s skepticism and said, “we can’t risk allowing Qaddafi to massacre people from the air.” He said sending in ground forces would not be appropriate, “certainly not at this time.” But taking measures like a no-flight zone, humanitarian aid and offers of intelligence would send a signal to those around Colonel Qaddafi “to depart a sinking ship.” Mr. Qaddafi would not change his outlook, Mr. McCain said, because “he’s insane.”
Sheryl Gay Stolberg contributed reporting from Washington.

I found this is very moral by these well spoken senators. The harm is people do not like to have America interfere in the Arab world. But this is quite a moral decision to save people who are bombed by a crazy guy who has no respect or ethics. The Libyan opposition council have to make it clear it is their request and it is humanitarian. American troops would not need to fight in the ground, no fly zone and above are great ideas how to do it. There is no black and white in this world some great decisions were made by America I consider this to be one of them. I think internationally the case is even much more compelling than Iraq. The guy is totally crazy and ruthless. People went peacefully to demonstrate and he met them with huge brutality. The useless Arab league does not want America to interfere, but no solutions just let people die. We know well what behind the decision the rest of the corrupt Arab tyrants do not really want Qaddafi to go or be killed it is a club and membership has some respect even if you are a ruthless tyrant. The world community have to stand against this crazy tyrant it will be a shame in history that we let him dictate what the history would look like.

10 Points Plan to bring Qaddafi down

By: Maged Taman

It is clear the Qaddafi will fight to the last Libyan woman and child. We will not wait until more people die we have to move fast to bring him down:

1- Assassination of Qaddafi: will be the most rapid to bring about a collapse of his gang who work for him.

2- Make Qaddafi fearful: a restless and fearful leader would look weak and broken to his people and kill their moral and desire to fight.

3- Give people around him a way out: if no way out they will fight to death since you already destined them to die. The way is encouraging them, true promise of forgiveness and those who are proactive in bringing Qaddafi down will be rewarded.

4- Know many of his soldiers and call them in cell phone and tell them you can get away from Qaddafi and will be safe tell them about steps to get way from him.

5- Find out how many units he has who are the army chiefs and even soldiers names contact them and even their own family have short concise message in one to two minutes about the hell Qaddafi put Libya on and how it will be wonderful without him.

6- Make clear to people around him that he will go down no doubt about it he has no way to survive it most Arab/Muslims and the west want him to go. These is a matter of few days why you want to die for a crazy tyrant.

7- Very clear that Muslim Imams declared Jihad against Qaddafi as obligation. His people went into peaceful demonstrations to have the right of freedom and he like a crazy mad dog shot them dead.

8- Already Qaddafi was declared an international criminal, lawyers in the Arab world can make his life miserable by filling hundreds of law suits against him and handed to the Libyan embassies every where.

9- Military leaders from Arab and Muslim world can help the Libyans in organizing war plans and getting more fighters to conquer him.

10- The west are willing to have no fly zone and can have the Arab jet fighters has planes deployed for air bases and possibly airships to bomb Qaddafi main targets. A close bombing to him personally does magic against him. When president Reagan bombed him to close he behave like a disciplined boy for years.

Time for the Arab/Muslims and west to cooperate to bring Qaddafi down already the Arab asked for that it is not intrusion from the west. It is an international effort to stop a mad dog who is infected with rabies and going wild to kill anyone in his way to great madness that he find it to be glorious.

Imams seek overthrow of Qaddafi

RIYADH/JEDDAH: Imams in mosques across the Kingdom on Friday led prayers for the Libyan people and in sermons called for the overthrow of Muammar Qaddafi.
In Jeddah, the imam of Sheikh Ahmad Salah Jamjoum Mosque in Rawdah district fervently prayed to God to destroy Qaddafi describing him as a “bloodthirsty dictator.”
In Sahafa street, the imam of a mosque called on the Libyan people to rise and fight Qaddafi whom he called a criminal and an enemy of Islam. He said he was the worst leader in the world. Those who had been killed by Qaddafi’s forces were martyrs, he said.
In Riyadh, the imam at the mosque in Al-Dubaht district in Malaz slammed Qaddafi as a tyrant who should step down to save the people from anarchy. He said: “The Libyan people should not be allowed to suffer for no fault of theirs.”
Another imam at Al-Owaidah Mosque in the capital requested Muslims to work together to achieve unity and peace as dictated by Islam. He pointed out that Islam is a religion of peace that advocates unity among all ethnic groups. “We should learn to coexist with people of other faiths so that all beings can live happily and peacefully in this age,” he noted.
Earlier, Saudi scholars declared their support for the ongoing people’s struggle against Qaddafi and expressed their solidarity for the people fighting the regime.
The scholars made the statement in response to a recent comment by Qaddafi’s son Seif Al-Islam that before “the rebellion started, some religious preachers and scholars used to visit Libya to lick the boots of the Libyan leader.”
Member of the Saudi Council of Senior Religious Scholars Sheikh Saleh Al-Lehaydan denied that he had issued a fatwa condemning the Libyan protesters for opposing Qaddafi. “The bloodshed should be stopped. Qaddafi’s government is not Islamic. He is an usurper who rebelled against the Sanusi king about four decades ago and never received the oath of allegiance of the people,” said Al-Lehaydan. The scholar added that Qaddafi is an evil conqueror who rejected the sayings of the Last Prophet (peace be upon him). “He is not a leader, but a vulgar ignorant Bedouin, an arrogant man with military power,” he added.
Forces loyal to Qaddafi have regained control of Zawiyah, near Tripoli, from rebel hands, state television reported on Friday.
At least 30 people were killed and 200 more wounded in Zawiyah, Al Jazeera TV quoted a witness as saying. Wounded people started arriving at the hospital Friday morning. Most of the injuries resulted from gunshots, and many of the injuries were to the head and chest.
An explosion at an ammunition depot in Benghazi killed 17 people on Friday, officials said. Dr. Habib Al-Obeidi in Benghazi’s Al-Jalaa hospital said the blast at a military base also hit a residential area.
Meanwhile, a ship carrying about $160 million worth of Libyan currency has been impounded after turning back from a planned trip to Libya, a British government official said Friday. A number of containers full of currency were moved from the ship to a secure location.
Interpol has issued an international alert for Qaddafi and 15 other family members and close associates to help enforce international sanctions against the Libyan strongman and his regime.
The international police organization said Friday that Qaddafi, his relatives and allies “have been identified as being involved in or complicit in planning attacks, including aerial bombardments, on civilian populations.”
Senior US Sen. John McCain stepped up pressure on Friday on President Barack Obama to impose a no-fly zone over Libya, calling it a test of whether he truly wants Qaddafi gone from power.
“If you want Qaddafi to go, then one of the steps among many would be to establish a no-fly zone to prevent him from massacring his own people from the air,” said McCain, the top Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee.
In a separate development, Libya appointed former Foreign Minister Ali Abdussalam Treki as its envoy at the UN, replacing the previous envoy who broke away from the Libyan leadership, a source said. “Dr. Treki has been appointed as Libyan envoy to the UN to replace (Abdurrahman) Shalgham,” the source said.

Saudis mobilise thousands of troops to quell growing revolt

Saudis mobilise thousands of troops to quell growing revolt
By Robert Fisk, Middle East Correspondent
Saturday, 5 March 2011
Saudi Arabia was yesterday drafting up to 10,000 security personnel into its north-eastern Shia Muslim provinces, clogging the highways into Dammam and other cities with busloads of troops in fear of next week's "day of rage" by what is now called the "Hunayn Revolution".
Saudi Arabia's worst nightmare – the arrival of the new Arab awakening of rebellion and insurrection in the kingdom – is now casting its long shadow over the House of Saud. Provoked by the Shia majority uprising in the neighbouring Sunni-dominated island of Bahrain, where protesters are calling for the overthrow of the ruling al-Khalifa family, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia is widely reported to have told the Bahraini authorities that if they do not crush their Shia revolt, his own forces will.
The opposition is expecting at least 20,000 Saudis to gather in Riyadh and in the Shia Muslim provinces of the north-east of the country in six days, to demand an end to corruption and, if necessary, the overthrow of the House of Saud. Saudi security forces have deployed troops and armed police across the Qatif area – where most of Saudi Arabia's Shia Muslims live – and yesterday would-be protesters circulated photographs of armoured vehicles and buses of the state-security police on a highway near the port city of Dammam.

Although desperate to avoid any outside news of the extent of the protests spreading, Saudi security officials have known for more than a month that the revolt of Shia Muslims in the tiny island of Bahrain was expected to spread to Saudi Arabia. Within the Saudi kingdom, thousands of emails and Facebook messages have encouraged Saudi Sunni Muslims to join the planned demonstrations across the "conservative" and highly corrupt kingdom. They suggest – and this idea is clearly co-ordinated – that during confrontations with armed police or the army next Friday, Saudi women should be placed among the front ranks of the protesters to dissuade the Saudi security forces from opening fire.
If the Saudi royal family decides to use maximum violence against demonstrators, US President Barack Obama will be confronted by one of the most sensitive Middle East decisions of his administration. In Egypt, he only supported the demonstrators after the police used unrestrained firepower against protesters. But in Saudi Arabia – supposedly a "key ally" of the US and one of the world's principal oil producers – he will be loath to protect the innocent.
So far, the Saudi authorities have tried to dissuade their own people from supporting the 11 March demonstrations on the grounds that many protesters are "Iraqis and Iranians". It's the same old story used by Ben Ali of Tunisia and Mubarak of Egypt and Bouteflika of Algeria and Saleh of Yemen and the al-Khalifas of Bahrain: "foreign hands" are behind every democratic insurrection in the Middle East.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Mr Obama will be gritting their teeth next Friday in the hope that either the protesters appear in small numbers or that the Saudis "restrain" their cops and security; history suggests this is unlikely. When Saudi academics have in the past merely called for reforms, they have been harassed or arrested. King Abdullah, albeit a very old man, does not brook rebel lords or restive serfs telling him to make concessions to youth. His £27bn bribe of improved education and housing subsidies is unlikely to meet their demands.
An indication of the seriousness of the revolt against the Saudi royal family comes in its chosen title: Hunayn. This is a valley near Mecca, the scene of one of the last major battles of the Prophet Mohamed against a confederation of Bedouins in AD630. The Prophet won a tight victory after his men were fearful of their opponents. The reference in the Koran, 9: 25-26, as translated by Tarif el-Khalidi, contains a lesson for the Saudi princes: "God gave you victory on many battlefields. Recall the day of Hunayn when you fancied your great numbers.
"So the earth, with all its wide expanse, narrowed before you and you turned tail and fled. Then God made his serenity to descend upon his Messenger and the believers, and sent down troops you did not see – and punished the unbelievers." The unbelievers, of course, are supposed – in the eyes of the Hunayn Revolution – to be the King and his thousand princes.
Like almost every other Arab potentate over the past three months, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia suddenly produced economic bribes and promised reforms when his enemy was at the gates. Can the Arabs be bribed? Their leaders can, perhaps, especially when, in the case of Egypt, Washington was offering it the largest handout of dollars – $1.5bn (£800m) – after Israel. But when the money rarely trickles down to impoverished and increasingly educated youth, past promises are recalled and mocked. With oil prices touching $120 a barrel and the Libyan debacle lowering its production by up to 75 per cent, the serious economic – and moral, should this interest the Western powers – question, is how long the "civilised world" can go on supporting the nation whose citizens made up almost all of the suicide killers of 9/11?
The Arabian peninsula gave the world the Prophet and the Arab Revolt against the Ottomans and the Taliban and 9/11 and – let us speak the truth – al-Qa'ida. This week's protests in the kingdom will therefore affect us all – but none more so than the supposedly conservative and definitely hypocritical pseudo-state, run by a company without shareholders called the House of Saud.

The Flame of the Saudi Revolution is being ignited

Blogger comment:
The Saudi Tyrant regime is openly anti-Islamic they collaborated with the enemies of Islam to block me from entering Saudi. They think I am Al Mahdi Al Muntazer who is threatening their throne and they think they can block me from entering Saudi. So I will start the revolution against them while I am here in America. I have already helped to bring down two tyrants and the third in his way out. Saudi is pumping more oil to show to America that it is supporting or even saving the American economy. we will do the same after we bring the Saudi corrupt regime down. We will sell oil to America for sure will not drink it. The Saudi King family present themselves as the protectors of Islam while they are number one enemy. Their only religion is power, money and inheritance of the throne. God promised us victory and we will conquer them. The fitna is made by them not us.

Al Qaradawi: The Revolution of Libya is Victorious

The message Qur’an delivers to mankind – III

Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi

THE next stage of the mission was marked by a hard, vigorous struggle between the Islamic movement and the age-old Ignorance· (Jahiliyah) of Arabia. Not only were the Makkans and the Quraish bent upon preserving their inherited way of life, they were also firmly resolved to suppress the new movement by force. They stopped at nothing in the pursuit of this objective. They resorted to false propaganda; they spread doubt and suspicion and used subtle, malicious insinuations to sow distrust in people’s minds. They tried to prevent people from listening to the message of the Prophet (pbuh). They perpetrated savage cruelties on those who embraced Islam. They subjected them to economic and social boycott, and persecuted them to such an extent that on two occasions a number of them were forced to leave home and emigrate to Abyssinia, and finally they had to emigrate en masse to Madina. In spite of this strong and growing resistance and opposition, the Islamic movement continued to spread. There was hardly a family left in Makkah one of whose members at least had not embraced Islam. Indeed, the violence and bitterness of the enemies of Islam was due to the fact that their own kith and kin – brothers, nephews, sons, daughters, sisters, brothers-in-law and so on – had not only embraced Islam, but were even ready to sacrifice their lives for its sake. Their resistance, therefore, brought them into conflict with their own nearest and dearest. Moreover, those who had forsaken the age-old Ignorance of Arabia included many who were outstanding members of their society. After embracing Islam, they became so remarkable for their moral uprightness, their veracity and their purity of character that the world could hardly fail to notice the superiority of the message which was attracting people of such qualities. During the Prophet’s long and arduous struggle God continued to inspire him with revelations possessing at once the smooth, natural flow of a river, the violent force of a flood and the overpowering effect of a fierce fire. These messages instructed the believers in their basic duties, inculcated in them a sense of community and belonging, exhorted them to piety, moral excellence and purity of character, taught them how to preach the true faith, sustained their spirit by promises of success and Paradise in the Hereafter, aroused them to struggle in the cause of God with patience, fortitude and high spirits, and filled their hearts with such zeal and enthusiasm that they were prepared to endure every sacrifice, brave every hardship and face every adversity. At the same time, those either bent on opposition, or who had deviated from the right way, or who had immersed themselves in frivolity and wickedness, were warned by having their attentions called to the tragic ends of nations with whose fates they were familiar. They were asked to draw lessons from the ruins of those localities through which they passed every day in the course of their wanderings. Evidence for the unity of God and for the existence of the After-life was pointed to in signs visible to their own eyes and within the range of their ordinary experience. The weaknesses inherent in polytheism, the vanity of man’s ambition to become independent even of God, the folly of denying the After-life, the perversity of blind adherence to the ways of one’s ancestors regardless of right or wrong, were all fully elucidated with the help of arguments cogent enough to penetrate the minds and hearts of the audience. Moreover, every misgiving was removed, a reasonable answer was provided to every objection, all confusion and perplexity was cleared up, and Ignorance was besieged from all sides till its irrationality was totally exposed. Along with all this went the warning of the wrath of God. The people were reminded of the horrors of Doomsday and the tormenting punishment of Hell. They were also censured for their moral corruption, for their erroneous ways of life, for their clinging to the ways of Ignorance, for their opposition to Truth and their persecution of the believers. These messages enunciated those fundamental principles of morality and collective life on which all sound and healthy civilizations enjoying God’s approval had always rested. This stage was unfolded in several phases. In each phase, the preaching of the message assumed ever wider proportions, as the struggle for the cause of Islam and opposition to it became increasingly intense and severe, and as the believers encountered people of varying outlooks and beliefs. All these factors had the effect of increasing the variety of the topics treated in the messages revealed during this period. Such, in brief, was the situation forming the background to the Makkan surahs of the Qur’an. For thirteen years the Islamic movement strove in Makkah. It then obtained, in Madina, a haven of refuge in which to concentrate its followers and its strength. The Prophet’s movement now entered its third stage. During this stage, circumstances changed drastically. The Muslim community succeeded in establishing a fully-fledged state; its creation was followed by prolonged armed conflict with the representatives of the ancient Ignorance of Arabia. The community also encountered followers of the former Prophets, i.e. Jews and Christians. An additional problem was that hypocrites began to join the fold of the Muslim community; their machinations needed to be resisted. After a severe struggle, lasting ten years, the Islamic movement reached a high point of achievement when the entire Arabian Peninsula came under its sway and the door was open to world-wide preaching and reform. This stage, like the preceding one, passed through various phases each of which had its peculiar problems and demands. It was in the context of these problems that God continued to reveal messages to the Prophet. At times these messages were couched in the form of fiery speeches; at other times they were characterized by the grandeur and stateliness of majestic proclamations and ordinances. At times they had the air of instructions from a teacher; at others the style of preaching of a reformer. These messages explained how a healthy society, state and civilization could be established and the principles on which the various aspects of human life should be based. They also dealt with matters directly related to the specific problems facing the Muslims. For example, how should they deal with the hypocrites (who were harming the Muslim community from within) and with the non-Muslims who were living under the care of the Muslim society? How should they relate to the People of the Book? What treatment should be meted out to those with whom the Muslims were at war, and how should they deal with those with whom they were bound by treaties and agreements? How should the believers, as a community, prepare to discharge their obligations as vicegerents of the Lord of the Universe? Through the Qur’an the Muslims were guided in questions like these, were instructed and trained, made aware of their weaknesses and taught the code of morality they should observe in all circumstances of life In short, they were being trained to serve as the successors of the mission of the Prophet, with the task of carrying on the message of Islam and bringing about reform in human life.
