Theological Basis of Islamic State
Khilafah is fard - Evidence from the Quran
The evidence that the appointment of a Khalifah is obligatory upon all Muslims is in the Quran, Sunnah and the Ijma' (consensus) of the Sahabah.
Evidence 1
"And rule between them by that which Allah revealed to you, and do not follow their vain desires away from the truth which came to you". [TMQ 5:48]
Allah (swt) has ordered the Prophet to rule between Muslims by that which He (swt) revealed to him and has obliged Muslims to restrict themselves to all the rules of the Shari’ah. An order of Allah (swt) to the Prophet is an order to the entire Ummah, unless there is evidence which limits the order to him. In this case there is no such evidence, so the order to rule by all that Allah has revealed is binding for all the Muslims.
Because the word Ma (what) is general in its meaning, it signifies that the order refers to all of the aspects of governing that have been revealed, and not merely a part of it.
This order to the prophet has been given in a decisive manner, and does not leave room for doubt or alternative meanings or understandings.
Evidence 2
"..Verily the 'Hukm' (command, Judgment) is for none but Allah.." [TMQ 12:40]
This ayah states that the privilege of rule is reserved for Allah alone. In fact, it is an aspect of tauhid to refer to Allah for solutions to all of life’s affairs, and one of the names of Allah is "The Legislator".
Evidence 3
"Whoever does not judge by that which Allah has revealed, they are disbelievers" [TMQ 5:44]
"Whosoever does not judge by that which Allah has revealed, such are oppressors" [5:45]
"Whosoever does not judge by that which Allah has revealed, such are transgressors" [5:47]
Whoever does not govern with what Allah has revealed is of the disbelievers, or oppressors, or transgressors. Again, because the word Ma (what) in this verse is general, so it includes everything that Allah has revealed.
The Islamic System
Khilafah is fard - Evidence from the Sunnah
Evidence 1
On the authority of Muslim Nafi'a reported saying: "Umar said to me that he heard the Prophet saying: Whoso takes off his hand from allegiance to Allah (swt) will meet Him (swt) on the Day of Resurrection without having any proof for him, and whoso dies whilst there was no bay'ah (allegiance or a pledge) on his neck (to a Khaleefah), he dies a death of jahiliyyah."
The Prophet made it compulsory upon every Muslim to have a bay'ah on his neck, and described that whoever dies without a bay'ah on his neck dies a death of jahiliyyah. This does not mean that he dies as a kafir, rather, it means that he dies as if Islam had never reached him.
The bay'ah cannot be for anyone except the Khaleefah, and the Prophet made it obligatory upon every Muslim to have on his neck a bay'ah to a Khaleefah.
The Prophet did not make it an obligation upon every Muslim to give bay'ah to a Khaleefah. The duty is the existence of a bay'ah on the neck of every eligible Muslim, i.e. the existence of a Khaleefah who accordingly deserves a bay'ah upon the neck of every Muslim. So it is the presence of the Khaleefah which places a bay'ah on the neck of every Muslim, whether the Muslim gave a bay'ah to him in person or not, as silence signifies acceptance of the bay'ah from the Ummah.
Therefore, this hadith of the Prophet is an evidence that the appointment of the Khaleefah is an obligation and not a proof that giving the bay'ah is obligatory. This is so because the Prophet rebuked the Muslim who has not a bay'ah on his neck until he dies, not the one who did not give
Evidences 2-5
Hisham ibn 'Urwa reported on the authority of Abu Saleh on the authority of Abu Hurairah that the Prophet said: "Leaders will take charge of you after me, where the pious (one) will lead you with his piety and the impious (one) with his impiety, so listen to them and obey them in everything which conforms with the truth. If they act rightly it is for your credit, and if they acted wrongly it is counted for you and against them."
Muslim narrated on the authority of al-A'araj, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet said: "Behold, the Imam is but a shield from behind whom the people fight and by whom they protect themselves."
Muslim reported on the authority of Abu Hazim, who said: "I accompanied Abu Hurairah for five years and heard him talking of the Prophet's saying: The Prophets ruled over the children of Israel, whenever a Prophet died another Prophet succeeded him, but there will be no Prophet after me. There will be Khulafa'a and they will number many. They asked: What then do you order us? He said: Fulfill the bay'ah to them one after the other and give them their due. Surely Allah will ask them about what He entrusted them with."
Ibn 'Abbas narrated that the Prophet said: "If anyone sees in his Amir something that displeases him let him remain patient, for behold, he who separates himself from the sultan (authority of Islam) by even so much as a hand span and dies thereupon, has died a death of the days of jahiliyyah".
In these alhadith, the Prophet informs us that leaders will run the affairs of Muslims, and the alhadith include the description of the Khaleefah as a shield, i.e. a protection. So the description of the Imam as a shield is informative of the benefits of the presence of the Imam, thus it is a command for action, because if the information conveyed by Allah (swt) and the Prophet contained rebuke then it is a command of prohibition, and if it contained praise then it is a command for action. If the ordered action is necessary to implement a hukm shar'i (divine law), or by its negligence a hukm shar'i will be neglected, then this command is decisive. In these alhadith there is information also that those who run the affairs of Muslims are Khulafa'a, which indicates an order to appoint them. They also include a prohibition for Muslims to separate from the authority, which indicates the obligation upon Muslims to appoint an authority for themselves, i.e. ruling. Moreover, the Prophet ordered the Muslims to obey the Khaleefah and to fight those who dispute his authority as Khaleefah, which indicates an order to appoint a Khaleefah and to protect his Khilafah by fighting against whosoever disputes with him.
Khilafah is fard - Evidence from the Ijma of the Sahabah
The Ijma' of the Sahabah is a legitimate daleel shar'i (evidence) like the Qur’an and Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saw). In regard with the Ijma'a of the Sahabah they all agreed upon the necessity to establish a successor or Khaleefah to the Prophet after his death, and they all agreed to appoint a successor to Abu Bakr, then to 'Umar, then to 'Uthman, after the death of each one of them. Also, all the Sahabah agreed throughout their lives upon the obligation of appointing a Khaleefah. Although they disagreed upon the person to elect as a Khaleefah, they never disagreed upon the appointment of a Khaleefah, neither when the Prophet died, nor when any of the Khulafa'a ar-Rashidun died. Therefore the Ijma'a of the Sahabah is a clear and strong evidence that the appointment of a Khaleefah is obligatory. The extent of the inevitable obligation to establish the Khaleefah and the extent of awareness about this obligation among the Sahabah, is clearly reflected in the actions which they performed at the time. As for the Ijma’ of the companions, they (may Allah be pleased with them) agreed upon the necessity of establishing a successor, (Khaleefah) to the Messenger of Allah (saw) after his death. They all agreed to appoint a successor to Abu Bakr, and upon his death to appoint a successor to ‘Umar and upon ‘Uthman’s death to appoint Ali as a successor to him. The general consensus of Sahabah on the appointment of a Khaleefah manifested itself emphatically upon the death of the Messenger of Allah (saw) and engaged themselves in appointing a successor to him. It is known that the burial of the dead is obligatory, and that it is sinful for those in charge of preparing the burial to engage themselves in anything else until they complete the burial. Despite this, some of the Sahabah engaged themselves in appointing a Khaleefah, even though they were obliged to engage themselves in preparing the burial of the Messenger of Allah (saw). The other Sahabah kept silent about this and participated in the delaying of the burial for two nights, despite having the ability to condemn the delay and being able to bury the Messenger of Allah (saw). This action of the Sahabah is therefore an evidence of consensus to support the fact that the appointment of a Khaleefah is more of an obligation than the burial of the dead and it could not have been legitimate unless the appointment of a Khaleefah were more of an obligation than the burial of the dead.
Furthermore, all the Sahabah consented throughout their lives upon the obligation of appointing a Khaleefah. Although at times they differed about the choice of the Khaleefah, they never disagreed about the fact that a Khaleefah must be appointed, and this was the case in the wake of Allah’s Messenger’s death, and of each of the Khulafa ‘Rashideen’ (The first four Khaleefah). Accordingly, the general consensus of the Sahabah is both a strong and clear evidence that the appointment of a Khaleefah is obligatory.
The appointment of such a Khalifah is obtained through the Bay'aat has been reported on the authority of Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) say: "One who dies without having bound himself by an oath of allegiance (to an Amir) will die the death of one belonging to the days of Jahiliyyah." (Muslim)
Khilafah (Islamic-State) in the view of the Scholars
Khilafah is one of the most important issues in Islam, many versus in Quran and many Hadiths of the Prophet ordered Muslims to establish such a system. Ruling by Islam is the most frequent issue discussed in Quran after the belief and creed. Therefore, Khilafah was discussed by many Muslim scholars, the following are the definition of some of them to Khilafah.
Ibn Khaldoon defined it as: A representation, of the one who has the right to adopt the divine rules, aimed at protecting the Deen and ruling the world (Dunia) with it.
Al-Mawardi defined it as: Succession of the Prophethood aimed at protecting the Deen and ruling the world (Dunia).
Taqiudine al-Nabhani, (founder of Hizb at-Tahreer) defined it as: A total leadership for all the Muslims aimed at implementing the Shariah of Islam and carrying the Message of Islam to the world.
Al-Imam al-Juwaini (known also as Imam Al-Haramain) has a similar definition but I could not translate the text.
In summary, Khilafah is the political system in Islam. It is responsible for implementing the Islamic system (be it social, economic, educational, foreign policy,...) and maintaining its implementation. It is also responsible for spreading the message of Islam to the world. Khilafah is the Islamic state which the Prophet (pbuh) ought to create and worked for in Mecca, for a period of thirteen years, until he (pbuh) established it Medina.
Ibn Hisham, the famous narrator of the Sirah of the Prophet (pbuh) says regarding the establishment of the Islamic State in Madina: "When the Prophet (pbuh) was assured and satisfied in Madina and when his brothers from Muhajireen (migrators) were gathered with him in Madina along with his brothers from the Ansar (helpers), Islam was firmly established so the prayer was established, the Zakah and Sawm (fasting) were obligated, the hudud (punishment) were established, halal and haram was obligated and Islam was in power among them."
The establishment of Khilafah is an Islamic duty. There is a consensus between Muslim scholars about this issue as Al- Qurtubi said in his Tafseer. In one of my previous messages I quoted several scholars from different schools of thoughts in Islam (Sunnah, Shia, Mu'tazilah,...) so I do not need to repeat them here.
The evidence for the duty of establishing the Khilafah is confirmed in the Quran, the Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh), the consensus of the Sahabah and Shariah principle. I quoted many Ayahs and Hadiths in the previous messages so I will not repeat the evidences from the Quran and Sunnah here, they are available upon request. I will continue with the evidence from the consensus of the Sahabah.
The consensus of the Sahabah means that the Sahabah unanimously accept a certain issue as being a divine rule as they understood it from the Prophet (pbuh). The Sahabah consensus as such is considered a third source of the divine rules (after Quran and Sunnah).
It is reported through Tawatur (via many narration chains) that after the death of the Prophet (pbuh), the Sahabah unanimously prohibited the post of the head of state to be vacant for any time. Abu Bakr (ra) is reported to have said "Muhammad has indeed died. This Deen needs some one to maintain it." Umar Ibn Al-Khatab (ra) said:" There can be no Islam without Jama'a; no Jama'a without an Ameer (leader); and no leadership without obedience."
Revelation 12: The Woman and the Dragon
1A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. 3Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads. 4His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child the moment it was born. 5She gave birth to a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. 6The woman fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.
7And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.
10Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. 11They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. 12Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short."
13When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. 14The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the desert, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent's reach. 15Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. 16But the earth helped the woman by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring—those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

Economic System of Islam
BIBLIOGRAPHY
ISSUES IN ISLAMIC ECONOMICS

MUSLIM BUSINESSES IN THE WORLD
Islamic Economic system is based on four principles:
1. All the wealth belongs to Allah (swt): "And give them of the wealth of Allah which He has given you." [An-Nur: 33]
2. The community is the trustee of the wealth: "Believe in Allah and His Messenger, and spend whereof He has made you heirs."[Al-Hadid: 7]
3. Hoarding of wealth is prohibited: "And those who hoard up gold and silver and spend not in the way of Allah; announce to them a painful chastisement." [At-Tauba: 34]
4. Circulation of wealth is a duty:
"Whatsoever Allah may restore unto His Messenger - is due unto Allah and unto His Messenger - the orphans and the needy ...so that it may not be confined to the rich amongst you." [Al-Hashr:7]
Based on these principles, Islam differs fundamentally from man-made systems (such as communism/socialism and capitalism) in defining the economic problem.
Islam uniquely considers distribution as the economic problem, and Muslims do not share the obsession of capitalists and communists with production. Because Islam differentiates between the basic needs and luxuries, there exists no concept of relative scarcity of resources in Islam. The resources available on earth are sufficient to secure the basic needs (food, clothing, and shelter) of fifty billion human beings. Such a misunderstanding has concealed the reality that starvation, poverty, and economic backwardness, result from maldistribution exasperated by man-made laws and systems. Under the Islamic system, Nigeria alone could support the whole of Africa, as occurred in the past when, under the system of Islam, Africa sent food to relieve the famine in Medinah during the rule of Omar bin al-Khattab.
The current systems have created a vampire club of institutions - such as the IMF (International Monetary Fund), World Bank, and NGO's (Non Governmental Organizations) - that employ tactics such as loans and structural deficit replanning to siphon off the world's resources to the so-called developed nations, leaving behind a gross inequality in distribution of wealth. The world order has resulted in a bleak scenario in which most of the world chokes from the exploitation of a few elitist nations that continue, under the protection of laws and systems that are designed to serve their interests, to squander the wealth of the world and systematically tighten their control of societies around the globe.
Unfortunately, the current systems cleverly mask the inequality in wealth that they produce by assessing the wealth and productivity by the GNP (Gross National Product) or the average income per capita, deceptively duping the observer into regarding the total production as a means of measuring the well being of each citizen when, in actuality, such figures give no indication of the status of the individuals. America, for example, sucks up over a third of the world's resources, yet poverty in America has escalated to such levels that a new class of people - the "fourth" or under class - has emerged. In Cairo, the average income obscures the fact that while some reside in penthouse flats, others settle for the night in cemeteries. Such a contradiction results from the current systems that fail to differentiate between "economic system" and "economic science," and, as a result, view human beings not as humans but as statistics and figures on the stock market.
By using labels like "Third World" and "First World," this economic conspiracy has worked behind a deceived populace who fail to realize that the "Third World" countries are actually First World in terms of resources. While organizations like Mercy International and UNICEF keep the masses content under the circus act of "humanitarian aid," the capitalist machine works behind the stage to gobble up the resources of the world.
The implementation of Islam would eliminate the stranglehold by which the elites control the polices of the world and milk its resources. Unlike the current systems, Islam will not impose any limits on the amount of wealth that an individual can acquire, thus creating and maintaining an incentive to work. The shortsightedness of limiting production stems from the man-made ideologies that fail to understand the nature of creation. Because the Islamic system reflects the wisdom of the Creator, then the implementation of Islam will provide a society conducive to life that will address the needs of humanity based on the correct understanding of life. Muhammad (saaw) said, "The son of Adam, if he had two valleys of gold, would desire a third and would not be satisfied till he bites the dust."
While generating massive abundance and wealth of resources by eliminating all the restrictions and oppressive systems that prevent production, Islam will safeguard against abuses of exploitation in acquiring wealth by limiting the way in which wealth is acquired. For instance, Islam denies the "free" market of Capitalism which has led to the situation of "survival of the fittest". Such an unrestricted environment has led directly to the current situation where multinational companies have scavenged the resources of the world like parasites unrestricted in their "freedom." Under the Khilafah, natural and vital resources would be categorized as public property and a right of every citizen of the state - Muslim or otherwise - in accordance with the Prophet's (saw) Hadith that states, "The humans have a right to three things - water, green pastures, and fire-based fuels (An-Naar)."
In Islam, public revenue from oil and natural resources would be used to secure the needs of the whole Muslim Ummah, and not to line the pockets of casino owners. The Khilafah would provide public and vital resources without charge to cover the needs of every individual and family, and the monopolies that multinational corporations maintain to dictate the lives of the people would dissipate.
The Shariah also defines certain rules that regulate company structure, effectively preventing abuse and corruption. For instance, Islam forbids monopolies by outlawing the hoarding of wealth (Al-Ihtikar), and eliminating copyright or patency laws that would open the avenue for potential monopolies to develop. Also, Islam protects the ownership of businesses and companies by restricting ownership of companies only to those who contribute both capital and effort to the company or business, thus effectively putting the seal on such concepts as "corporate takeover" from ever becoming a reality.
In the systems of today, the stock market offers no such protection and allows for any outsider to secure a share in any business or corporation and impose his policies on the company agenda, even if that individual puts no effort or work into the business. Today, food manufacturers have cultivated the art of burning surplus food and dumping surplus milk into the ocean to artificially inflate prices by creating "scarcity," an art that would cease to exist with the implementation of Islam.
Unlike today's system, which opens all doors for anyone to access wealth by any means, Islam categorizes wealth in a systematic way that both protects the right of individuals to access wealth and, simultaneously protects the society and secures the needs of the Ummah. Islam mandates vital and natural resources as public property while allowing for unlimited access to luxury items. Also, Islam protects the society in ways that corrupt man-made systems have overlooked by defining certain needs as "prohibited needs." For instance, to protect the honor (ird) of the woman, Islam would outlaw all forms of prostitution, pornography, or any type of sexual bombardment that exploits the charms and physical attractiveness of women. In addition, Islam would prohibit alcohol and gambling, killing every industry and institution derived from such filth that has seeped the Capitalist Nations in a downward spiral of corruption, social turmoil, and moral devastation.
In addition, the form of currency in Islam will break the economic hold of the Kuffar over the Muslim lands. The Khilafah would link the currency to gold, silver or some other precious resource. By backing the currency with resources of real value, Islam creates a stable medium of exchange and eliminates the concepts of linking currencies that allow nations to manipulate currencies and maintain a monopoly over the financial markets of the world.
Just a glance at the economic system in Islam suffices to explain the fear and dread that America and the West have shown towards Islam, and explains the dedication and effort exerted towards curtailing or suppressing the resurgence of Islam as a system. Such a system would not only break the grip that the Capitalist nations have secured over the wealth and resources of the Muslim lands and dethrone their upper hand over the policies of the world, but would provide the long-awaited solutions to life that they have kept a secret from their own people with their extensive media manipulation and education. Because the currency in Islam is linked to gold or other precious resources, the implementation of Islam would cut the economic chains that America employs by linking other currencies to the dollar.
In addition, the effectivity with which the Islamic economic systems correctly defines the economic problem and secures the needs of every individual, and eliminates all forms of economic and social corruption, would provide fuel for the foreign policy of the state that would enable the Khilafah to easily spread Islam ideologically throughout the world.
For such a system to emerge, the Ummah must revitalize within itself the Islamic way of life and cultivate the Islamic culture and the Islamic Aqeedah as the sole basis for providing solutions to its problems. Without the clear conviction in the Islamic Aqeedah and the comprehensive understanding of the Islamic system, the corrupt regimes will continue to tame and manipulate the Muslim masses with empty slogans, while behind the curtains, the feudal landlords of Pakistan will maintain their status and the Gulf sheikhs will continue to squander the public resources of the Ummah.
Blogger comment:
Interesting article though I do not agree on every thing.
Sources from Quran & Hadith For Creating Muslim Ummah
We must give up the idea of nationalism because it is exactly what is dividing us. Quran says not to be divided, and several hadeeth talk against the disease of nationalism. Is the word of Allah and the messenger of Allah not enough for us ? If we take a look at current problems of Ummah, among other problems, it is obvious that we're divided, and therefore weak.
The Quran Says :
Q.3:103
"And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allâh (i.e. this Qur'ân), and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allâh's Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islâmic Faith), and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allâh makes His Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.,) clear to you, that you may be guided."
Q.3:105
"And be not as those who divided and differed among themselves after the clear proofs had come to them. It is they for whom there is an awful torment."
Q.6:159
"Verily, those who divide their religion and break up into sects (all kinds of religious sects), you (O Muhammad SAW) have no concern in them in the least. Their affair is only with Allâh, Who then will tell them what they used to do."
Q.23:52:
"And verily this Ummah of yours IS A SINGLE UMMAH and I am your Lord and Cherisher: Therefore Fear Me (and no other)."
Q.23:53:
"But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: Each party rejoices in that which is with itself."
Q.30:32
"Those who SPLIT up their religion, and become mere sects each party rejoicing in that which is with itself!"
Q.42:13: "......that ye should remain steadfast in religion and make no DIVISIONS therein..... "
Q.49:13
"O Men, We created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may KNOW one another (NOT THAT YOU MAY DESPISE EACH OTHER)."
Q.30:22
"And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge."
Lets analyze, and see what the Quran's verses quoted above are all about.
The verses above are ordering and warning us not to be divided, split up, or form sects out of the religion. We're created into so many different beautiful races, and cultures so that we KNOW each other, NOT get divided into many different countries, etc.
Nationalism is also a way of disuniting the UMMAH. As currently seen in the world, we are over FIFTY-FIVE MUSLIM COUNTRIES AND GROWING ! There should only be ONE Muslim country (Khilafah). Quran CLEARLY orders us NOT to be Divided
Quran CLEARLY orders us NOT to be divided and separated and yet we have REFUSED to do so and decided to live in over 55 countries.
We are too busy being proud Palestinian, Jordanian, Yemeni, Turkish, Iranian, Iraqi, Saudi Arabian, Syrian, Pakistani, Kashmiri, Chechen, Bosnian, Algerian, Libyan, Egyptian, Moroccan, Lebanese, Bengali, etc. How many more nationalities are we going to see in the UMMAH ? How many more divisions? How many more separations ? The Kaffir are killing us one by one, as seen in the "New World Order" (Chechnya, Bosnia, Kashmir, etc). Divide-and-conquer is really working on the UMMAH. Lets all work together to put an end to this nonsense called Nationalism, a completely alien, and forbidden ideology in Islam.
The Hadith Says:
Resources From Messenger of Allah (saw)
Nationalism is HARAM because the Prophet Mohammad (saw) said in the following Hadeeths:
"Leave it. It is Rotten " [Bukhari & Muslim] refers to all forms of Asabiyah, nationalism, racism, and patriotism.
Grouping the Muslims on tribalistic lines is clearly forbidden. It is narrated by Abu Daud that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, "He is not one us who calls for `Asabiyah, (nationalism/tribalism) or who fights for `Asabiyah or who dies for `Asabiyah."
" ...People should give up their pride in nations because this is a coal from the coals of hell-fire. If they do not give this up Allah (swt) will consider them lower than a lowly worm which pushes itself through khur (feces)." [abu Dawd and Tirmidhi].
In the Hadith recorded in Mishkat al-Masabith, the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, "He who calls for `Asabiyyah is as if he bit his father's genitals" Also, the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, narrated by At-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud, "There are indeed people who boast of their dead ancestors; but in the sight of Allah they are more contemptible than the black beetle that rolls a piece of dung with its nose. Behold, Allah has removed from you the arrogance of the Time of Jahiliyyah (Ignorance) with its boast of ancestral glories. Man is but an Allah-fearing believer or an unfortunate sinner. All people are the children of Adam, and Adam was created out of dust."
Also, the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, "Undoubtedly Allah has removed from you the pride of arrogance of the age of Jahilliyah (ignorance) and the glorification of ancestors. Now people are of two kinds. Either believers who are aware or transgressors who do wrong. You are all the children of Adam and Adam was made of clay. People should give up their pride in nations because that is a coal from the coals of Hell-fire. If they do not give this up Allah (swt) will consider them lower than the lowly worm which pushes itself through Khara (dung)." [Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi]
When the news reached the Messenger of Allah (saw), he (saw) said, "O Muslims, remember Allah, remember Allah. Will you act as pagans while I am present with you after Allah has guided you to Islam, and honored you thereby and made a clean break with paganism; delivered you thereby from disbelief; and made you friends thereby?" When they heard this they wept, and embraced each other. This incident clearly highlights how the Messenger of Allah (saw) rebuked any forms of tribalism.
It is narrated by Qatada that Ibnu Abi Hathim said that in the verses quoted above Allah (swt) has ordered the Muslims to hold fast to the book of Allah, His Deen, and to his covenant, and He has forbidden the Muslims to divide amongst themselves and to dispute with each other. In another incident, Jabir ibn `Abd Allah al Ansari, narrated what happened at the watering place of al Muraysi which led to the Munafiqun stirring up the traces of `Asabiyah and seeking to destroy the unity of the Muslims. He said: "We were on a raid when one of the Muhajirun kicked one of the Ansar. The Ansar said, `O Ansar! Help me! (calling his tribe) and the Muhajir said, `O Muhajirun! Help me! (calling his tribe). The Messenger of Allah (saw) heard them and said, "Why are you stirring up something which belongs to Jahilliyah?" The Messenger of Allah (saw) did not deal with the situation only by speaking to his men, but he walked with the men all that day until nightfall, and through the night until morning and during the following day until the sun distressed them. Then he halted them, and as soon as they touched the ground, they fell asleep. He did this to distract their minds from what had transpired.
It is transmitted by at-Tabarani and al-Hakim that in one incident some people spoke very lowly about Salman al-Farsi. They spoke of the inferiority of the Persian in relation to the Arabs, and upon hearing this the Messenger of Allah (saw) declared, "Salman is from us, the ahl al-bayt (the Prophet's family)." This statement of the Messenger of Allah (saw) disassociates all links based on lineage and tribal considerations.
It was also transmitted, in two different versions, by Ibn al-Mubarak in his two books, Al-Birr and As-Salah, that some disagreement occurred between Abu Dharr and Bilal and Abu Dharr said to Bilal, "You son of a black woman." The Messenger of Allah (saw) was extremely upset by Abu Dharr's comment, so he (saw) rebuked him by saying, "That is too much, Abu Dharr. He who has a white mother has no advantage which makes him better than the son of a black mother." This rebuke had a profound effect on Abu Dharr, who then put his head on the ground swearing that he would not raise it until Bilal had put his foot over it. These incidents demonstrate that tribal ties have no place in Islam. Muslims are commanded to stick together and not to disassociate themselves from each other just because they come from different tribes.
The Messenger of Allah (saw) also said, "The believers, in their love, mutual kindness, and close ties, are like one body; when any part complains, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever." [Muslim], "The faithful are like one man: if his eyes suffers, his whole body suffers." [Muslim], "An Arab is no better than a non-Arab. In return, a non-Arab is no better than an Arab. A red raced man was not better than a black one except in piety. Mankind are all Adam's children and Adam was created out of clay." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim, on the authority of Abu Musa] Meaning that the Muslims, whether they are of Chinese, African, European or Asian origin, are one Ummah and they cannot be separated from each other.
No tribalistic ties should ever break their unity. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, "The Faithful are to one another like [parts of] a building - each part strengthening the others" and "Every Muslim is a brother to a Muslim, neither wronging him nor allowing him to be wronged. And if anyone helps his brother in need, Allah will help him in his own need; and if anyone removes a calamity from [another] Muslim, Allah will remove from him some of the calamities of the Day of Resurrection; and if anyone shields [another] Muslim from disgrace, Allah will shield him from the disgrace on the Day of Resurrection." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim, on the authority of `Abd Allah ibn `Umar].
Some people claim that the Messenger of Allah (saw) approved of nationalism because during the migration to Madinah, he (saw) said about Makkah with tears in his (saw) eyes, "You are the most beloved land of Allah to me." However, this saying has nothing to do with nationalism, and this can be seen from the full saying which people often do not quote, "You are the most beloved land of Allah to me because you are the most beloved land of Allah to Allah." The Messenger of Allah's (saw) love for Makkah was based on the noble status that Allah (swt) has given to Makkah, and not because he (saw) was born there. All Muslims should have this love and affection for Makkah because it is the most beloved land in the sight of Allah (swt). After all, the Muslims pray towards Makkah and go there to perform Hajj there as it houses the Ka'ba.
The above saying of the Messenger of Allah (saw) therefore has nothing to do with nationalism. If Rasoolillah (saw) and the Muhajireen amongst the Sahabah (ra) were tied to the homeland (of Makkah), they would have settled in Makkah after it became part of the Islamic State. Not only does Islam forbid people from grouping on nationalistic ties, but it also prohibits the establishment of more than one state, whether these states are based on nationalism or otherwise. The only state that is allowed for the Muslims is the Islamic State, which is a state that is governed exclusively by Islam. Allah (swt) addressed the Messenger (saw), "And rule between them by that which Allah revealed to you, and do not follow their vain desires away from the truth which came to you" [Surah Al-Madinah (5): ayah 48] and, "And rule between them by that which Allah revealed to you and do not follow their whims, and beware (be on the alert) that they may deviate you away from even some part of what Allah revealed to you." [Surah Al-Maidah (5): ayah 49].
Quran: Surat Al-An'am (Cattle)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Verses 1 - 13
verse 1: All parise and thanks are Allah's, Who (Alone) created the heavens and the earth, and originated the darkness and the light; yet those who disbelieve hold others as equal with their Lord.
Verse 2: He it is Who has created you from clay, and then has decreed a (stated) term (for you to die). And there is with Him another determined term (for you to be resurrected), yet you doubt (in the Resurrection).
Verse 3: And He is Allah (to be worshipped Alone) in the heavens and on the earth; He knows what you conceal and what you reveal, and He knows what you earn (good or bad).
Verse 4: And never an Ayah (sign) comes to them from the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, but that they have been turning away from it.
Verse 5: Indeed, they rejected the truth (the Qur'an and Muhammad PBUH) when it came to them, but there will come to them the news of that (the torment) which they used to mock at.
Verse 6: Have they not seen how many a generation before them We have destroyed whom We had established on the earth such as We have not established you? And We poured out on them rain from the sky in abundance, and made the rivers flow under them. Yet We destroyed them for their sins, and We created after them other generations.
Verse 7: And even if We had sent down to you (O Muhammad PBUH) a Message written on paper so that they could touch it with their hands, the disbelievers would have said: "This is nothing but obvious magic!"
Verse 8: And they say: "Why has not an angel been sent down to him?" Had We sent down an angel, the matter would have been judged at once, and no respite would be granted to them.
Verse 9: And had We appointed him an angel, We indeed would have made him a man, and We would have certainly confused them in which they are already confused (i.e. the Message of Prophet Muhammad PBUH).
Verse 10: And indeed (many) Messengers before you were mocked at, but their scoffers were surrounded by the very thing that they used to mock at.
Verse 11: Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "Travel in the land and see what was the end of those who rejected truth."
Verse 12: Say ( O Muhammad PBUH) "To whom belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth?" Say: "To Allah. He has prescribed Mercy for Himself. Indeed He will gather you together on the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt. Those who have lost themselves will not believe [in Allah as being the only Ilah (God), and Muhammad PBUH as being one of His Messengers, and in Resurrection].
Verse 13: And to Him belongs what soever exists in the night and the day, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."
HADITH
1. Narrated Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anh: I heard Allah's Messenger PBUH saying, "Allah has divided Mercy into one hundred parts, and He kept ninety-nine parts with Him and sent down one part to the earth, and because of that one single part, His creatures are merciful to each other, so that even the mare lifts up its hoof away from its baby animal, lest it should trample on it." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.8, Hadith No.29).
2. Narrated Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anh: Allah's Messenger PBUH said, "When Allah completed the creation, He wrote in His Book which is with Him on His Throne: Verily, My Mercy has overcome My Anger.'" (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.4, Hadith No.416)
3. Narrated Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anh: The Prophet PBUH said, "We (Muslims) are the last (to come) in the world, but (will be) foremost on the Day of Resurrection." Allah's Messenger PBUH also said, "By Allah, if anyone of you insists on fulfilling an oath by which he may harm his family, he commits a greater sin in Allah's consideration than that of dissolving his oath and making its expiation with that which Allah has commanded. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol.8, Hadith No.621).

(Verses 14 - 26)In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
verse 14: Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "Shall I take as a Wali (Helper, Protector, Lord or God) any other than Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth? And it is He Who feeds but is not fed." Say: "Verily, I am commanded to be the first of those who submit themselves to Allah (as Muslims)." And be not you (O Muhammad PBUH)of the Mushrikun [polytheists, pagans, idolaters and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah].
Verse 15: Say: "I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the torment of a Mighty Day."
Verse 16: He who is averted from (such a torment) on that Day, (Allah) has surely been Merciful to him. And that would be the obvious success.
Verse 17: And if Allah touches you with harm, none can remove it but He, and if He touches you with good, then He is Able to do all things.
Verse 18: And He is the Irresistible, (Supreme) above His slaves, and He is the All-Wise, the Well-Acquainted (with all things).
Verse 19: Say (O Muhammad PBUH): "What thing is the most great in witness?" Say: "Allah (the Most Great!) is Witness between me and you; this Qur'an has been revealed to me that I may therewith warn you and whomsoever it may reach. Can you verily bear witness that besides Allah there are other alihah (gods)?" Say: "I bear no (such) witness!" Say: "But in truth He (Allah) is the only one Ilah (God). And truly I am innocent of what you join in worship with Him."
Verse 20: Those to whom We have given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) recognize him (i.e. Muhammad PBUH as a Messenger of Allah, and they also know that there is no Ilah (God) but Allah and Islam is Allah's religion), as they recognize their own sons. Those who have lost (destroyed) themselves will not believe.
Verse 21: And who does more aggression and wrong than he who invents a lie against Allah or rejects His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons or revelations)? Verily, the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers) shall never be successful.
Verse 22 :And on the Day when We shall gather them all together, then We shall say to those who joined partners (in worship with Us): "Where are your partners (false deities)whom you used to assert (as partners in worship with Allah)?"
Verse 23: There will then be (left) no Fitnah (excuses or statements or arguments) for them but to say: "By Allah, our Lord, we were not those who joined others in worship with Allah."
Verse 24: Look! How they lie against themselves! But the (lie) which they invented will disappear from them.
Verse 25: And of them there are some who listen to you; but We have set veils on their hearts, so they understand it not, and deafness in their ears; and even if they see every one of the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they will not believe therein; to the point that when they come to you to argue with you, the disbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the men of old."
Verse 26: And they prevent others from him (from following Prophet Muhammad PBUH) and they themselves keep away from him, and (by doing so) they destroy not but their ownselves, yet they perceive (it) not.

(Verses 74 -87)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Verse 74: And (remember) when Ibrâhîm (Abraham) said to his father Âzar: "Do you take idols as âlihah (gods)? Verily, I see you and your people in manifest error."
Verse 75: Thus did we show Ibrâhîm (Abraham) the kingdom of the heavens and the earth that he be one of those who have Faith with certainty.
Verse 76: When the night covered him over with darkness he saw a star. He said: "This is my lord." But when it set, he said: "I like not those that set."
Verse 77 : When he saw the moon rising up, he said: "This is my lord." But when it set, he said: "Unless my Lord guides me, I shall surely be among the people who went astray."
Verse 78: When he saw the sun rising up, he said: "This is my lord. This is greater." But when it set, he said: "O my people! I am indeed free from all that you join as partners (in worship with Allah)
Verse 79: Verily, I have turned my face towards Him Who has created the heavens and the earth Hanîf, (Islamic Monotheism, i.e. worshipping none but Allah Alone), and I am not of Al-Mushrikûn".
Verse 80: His people disputed with him. He said: "Do you dispute with me concerning Allah while He has guided me, and I fear not those whom you associate with Him (Allah) in worship. (Nothing can happen to me) except when my Lord (Allah) wills something. My Lord comprehends in His Knowledge all things. Will you not then remember?
Verse 81: "And how should I fear those whom you associate in worship with Allah (though they can neither benefit nor harm), while you fear not that you have joined in worship with Allah things for which He has not sent down to you any authority. So which of the two parties has more right to be in security? If you but know."
Verse 82: It is those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah and worhsip none but Him Alone) and confuse not their belief with Zulm (wrong i.e. by worshipping others besides Allah), for them (only) there is security and they are the guided.
Verse 83: And that was Our Proof which We gave Ibrâhîm (Abraham) against his people. We raise whom We will in degrees. Certainly your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing.
Verse 84: And We bestowed upon him Ishâq (Isaac) and Ya'qûb (Jacob), each of them We guided, and before him, We guided Nûh (Noah), and among his progeny Dâwûd (David), Sulaimân (Solomon), Ayyûb (Job), Yûsuf (Joseph), Mûsâ (Moses), and Hârûn (Aaron). Thus do We reward Al-Muhsinûn (the good-doers).
Verse 85: And Zakariyâ (Zechariah), and Yahya (John) and 'Îsâ (Jesus) and Iliyâs (Elias), each one of them was of the reghteous.
Verse 86: And Ismâ'îl (Ishmael) and Al-Yasa' (Elisha), and Yûnus (Jonah) and Lût (Lot), and each one of them We preferred to the 'Âlamin [mankind and jinn (of their times)].
Verse 87: And also some of their fathers and their progeny and their brethren, We chose them, and We guided them to a Straight Path.

HADITH
Narrated Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu Anh : The Prophet (PBUH) said, "On the Day of Resurrection Ibrâhîm (Abraham) will meet his father Âzar whose face will be dark and covered with dust. (The Prophet) Ibrâhîm (Abraham) will say (to him): 'Didn't I tell you not to disobey me?' His father will reply: "Today I will not disobey you.' Ibrâhîm (Abraham) will say: 'O Lord! You promised me not to disgrace me on the Day of Resurrection; and what will be more disgraceful to me than cursing and dishonouring my father?' Then Allah SWT will say (to him): 'I have forbidden Paradise for the disbelievers.' Then he will be address, 'O Ibrâhîm (Abraham)! Look! What is underneath your feet?' He will look and there he will see a Dhîk (Hyena) blood-stained, which will be caught by the legs and thrown in the (Hell) Fire." (Sahîh Al-Bukhârî, Vol.4, Hadith No.569)
How the Quran and Muslims view Jesus Christ?
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
The Islamic view of Jesus (peace be upon him) is principally based on the many verses of the holy Quran, which Muslims believe to be the absolute, unchanged and inerrant word of God. According to the holy Quran Jesus’ life and teachings could be summarized as follows:
1- The Virgin Birth
There is no doubt amongst any Muslim around the world that Jesus was born miraculously and without a father.
According to the Quran his mother Mariam (in Hebrew, Aramaic and Arabic), Mary in Latin, was the purest woman since the creation and of Eve. It was precisely because of such purity Gabriel informed Mary that God had chosen her over women of all nations for her chastity, love and devotion to worshiping the one and true God – the creator of the universe.

Behold! the angels said: “O Mary! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee- chosen thee above the women of all nations.
“O Mary! worship Thy Lord devoutly: Prostrate thyself, and bow down (in prayer) with those who bow down.”
This is part of the tidings of the things unseen, which We reveal unto thee (O Muhammad) by inspiration: Thou wast not with them when they cast lots with arrows, as to which of them should be charged with the care of Mary: Nor wast thou with them when they disputed (the point).
Behold! the angels said: “O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah.
“He shall speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. And he shall be (of the company) of the righteous.”
She said: “O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?” He said: “Even so: Allah createth what He willeth: When He hath decreed a plan, He but saith to it, ‘Be,’ and it is!
(Quran, Chapter 3:42 – 47)
2- A Prophet to all Muslims
All Muslims are required to believe in Jesus and to love him, accept his message an what he stood for. Muslims believe that he came confirming the Torah not denying it and his Prophet-hood was accompanied by the means of many miracles.
“And (appoint him) an apostle to the Children of Israel, (with this message): “‘I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah.s leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah.s leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe;
“‘(I have come to you), to attest the Law which was before me. And to make lawful to you part of what was (Before) forbidden to you; I have come to you with a Sign from your Lord. So fear Allah, and obey me.
“‘It is Allah Who is my Lord and your Lord; then worship Him. This is a Way that is straight.’”(Quran, Chapter 3:49 – 51)
The Quran beautifully connects Jesus to all the other prophets that came before in a chain of prophet-hood, bearing one message – worship of the one God – and asking for nothing in return.
Then We sent Our messengers following in their footsteps and sent ‘Jesus son of Mary after them, giving him the Gospel… (Qur’an, 57:27)
3- Miracles of Jesus
When it comes to miracles, Muslims view of Jesus is not very different. The Quran tells us of numerous miracles performed by Jesus, some of which are even unknown to the Christians themselves. However, the Quran repeatedly stresses on the absolute oneness of God and the complete human nature of Jesus, and the fact that he, Jesus the Messiah, performed all such miracles by the decree, permission and leave of God, the Almighty.
Miracles unknown to most Christians
Jesus spoke as an infant while still in the cradle
“He shall speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. And he shall be (of the company) of the righteous.” (Quran chapter 3:46)
The first of such incident happened upon arrival of Mary to her people after the birth of Jesus. Upon seeing Mary with a child at hand, her people, in particular the Jewish rabbis, started questioning and accusing her of adultery. However, by the command of God, the infant Jesus began to speak, defending her mother and proclaiming his prophet-hood even at such a young age.
At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: “O Mary! truly an amazing thing hast thou brought!
“O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!”
But she pointed to the babe. They said: “How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?”
He said: “I am indeed a servant of Allah. He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;
“And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live;
“(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;
“So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)”!
Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.(Quran chapter 19:27 – 34)
God mentions in the Quran a miracle given to none other than Jesus, one which is quite parallel to how God himself created Adam. Creating the figure of a bird from clay and making it come alive is one that none could argue its greatness. While directing our attention to such a powerful miracle, the Quran, then repeats words of Jesus (pbuh) in which he stated that his miracles are done with “God’s permission”, indicating his absolute dependence on the Almighty creator:
“I create for you out of clay the likeness of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird with God’s permission.” (Quran chapter 3:49)
Photo: source
This miracle is not found in the New Testament, however, amazingly it is found in the non-canonical Infancy Gospel of Thomas, which has been only recently discovered:
“When this boy, Jesus, was five years old, he was playing at the ford of a rushing stream… he then made soft clay and shaped it into twelve sparrows… but Jesus simply clapped his hands and shouted to the sparrows: “Be off, fly away, and remember me, you who are now alive!” And the sparrows took off and flew away noisily.” (Infancy Gospel of Thomas:2)
Miracles known to Christians
Healing the blind and the leper. The Jewish community and scientist during the time of Jesus were quite advanced in the science of medicine and were quite proud of their expertise. For this very reason and similar to how Moses came to the magicians of Pharaoh and his own time with “clear proofs” from God, miracles of Jesus were ones which the Jews could well understand and confirm that no force in nature could possibly perform its likes, except God.
Similar to the New Testament, The Quran also mentions Jesus to a have healed the blind and lepers.
“And (appoint him) an apostle to the Children of Israel, (with this message): “‘I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah.s leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah.s leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe; (Quran, chapter 3:49)
The Table of Food (aka the “last supper”)
“And behold! I inspired the disciples to have faith in Me and Mine Messenger. they said, ‘We have faith, and do thou bear witness that we bow to Allah as Muslims’”.
Behold! the disciples, said: “O Jesus the son of Mary! can thy Lord send down to us a table set (with viands) from heaven?” Said Jesus: “Fear Allah, if ye have faith.”
They said: “We only wish to eat thereof and satisfy our hearts, and to know that thou hast indeed told us the truth; and that we ourselves may be witnesses to the miracle.”
Said Jesus the son of Mary: “O Allah our Lord! Send us from heaven a table set (with viands), that there may be for us – for the first and the last of us – a solemn festival and a sign from thee; and provide for our sustenance, for thou art the best Sustainer (of our needs).”
Allah said: “I will send it down unto you: But if any of you after that resisteth faith, I will punish him with a penalty such as I have not inflicted on any one among all the peoples.”
(Quran, chapter 5:111 – 115)
Resurrection of the dead
“…and I quicken the dead, by Allah.s leave…” (Quran chapter 3:49)
This, similar to the creating a bird out of clay, was a miracle of unparalleled quality, one which should have instigated, not some but all of the Jews to believe in his prophet-hood with no hesitation, but many were arrogant and did not.
In the New Testament, there are three cases where Jesus brought the dead back to life by God’s permission. These include the daughter of Jairus (Matt 9:18, 23; Mark 5:22, 35; Luke 8:40, 49), the widow’s son at Nain (Luke 7:11), and Lazarus (John 11:43).
The provision of Today and what you store for tomorrow
By God’s permission, Jesus told people had just eaten, as well as what they had in store for the days to come. God quotes Jesus in the following verses:
“I inform you too of what things you eat, and what you store up in your houses. Surely in that is a sign for you, if you are believers.” (Quran, chapter 3:49)
4- His Teaching
When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said:
‘Now I have come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which you dispute. Therefore, fear God and obey me. God, He is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him — this is a Straight Way.’ But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement. So woe to the wrongdoers, from the penalty of a Grievous Day!” (Quran, chapter 43:63-65)
5- A spirit from God
The Quran confirms the existence of a “holy Spirit” as one that is said to be “proceeding from Him”.
“O People of the Book (Jews and Christians)! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah anything but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His apostles. Say not “Trinity” : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah. Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.” (Quran, chapter 4:171)
The title “Spirit”, is widely accepted by Muslims to be no other than the Archangel Gabriel, who was sent to strengthen Jesus and allow him to perfume the supernatural miracles as he did
We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of apostles; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you an apostle with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride?- Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay! (Quran, chapter 2:87)
Then will Allah say: “O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: ‘This is nothing but evident magic.’ (Quran, chapter 5:110)
6- Jesus a Word from God
“… Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His apostles….”
7- Jesus was neither crucified nor was he killed
It is the Quranic verses that tells us the Jews failed to crucify and failed to even kill Jesus Christ. We are told that they only “perceived” so and it only “appeared to them”.
That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah.;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:- (Quran, chapter 4:157)
It is interesting to note that one of the main reasons the Jews wanted to crucify Jesus, was because according to their books he who claims to be the Messiah shall not be crucified and none can crucify him. Amazingly, the Quran in implicitly confirms this, that in fact they did fail to crucify or kill and in fact he was the true Messiah, sent by God, to revert the Jews back to the Truth.
Moreover, as the above verse tells us “those who differ therein are full of doubts…” the debate on the issue is still evident between the Christian biblical researchers and scholars.
Shortly after Jesus were many sects of Christianity fell into substantial quarrels over this matter. Some believed in the complete human nature of Jesus, some in his absolute divinity and some both. This was a multi-polar and a bloody struggle, which narrowed down to two doctrines of Pauline Christianity and the Judo-Christianity.
The struggle continued vigorously until in 314 BC, Emperor Constantine, won the battle of ideologies promoting Pauline Christianity and formulating the basis of the Catholic Church the Bible as we know today.
8– Jesus has not died yet and was bodily raised into heaven
Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise;- (Quran, chapter 4:158)
And (the unbelievers) plotted and planned, and Allah too planned, and the best of planners is Allah. (Quran, chapter 3:54)
Behold! Allah said: “O Jesus! I will take thee and raise thee to Myself and clear thee (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow thee superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall ye all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein ye dispute. (Quran, chapter 3:55)
9- The Gospels and The Bible changed and corrupted
Muslims believe that, as the Quran informs us, the Gospels were indeed word of God, which were passed through Jesus to his disciples.
And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah. (Quran, chapter 5:46)
“And behold! I inspired the disciples to have faith in Me and Mine Messenger (i.e. Jesus). they said, ‘We have faith, and do thou bear witness that we bow to Allah as Muslims’”. (Quran, chapter 5:111)
However, other than the fact that we do not know who the actual authors of the Gospels were, the Quran directs our attention to an interesting argument, that the people of the book forgot “a good part” of their scripture.
Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say: “This is from Allah,” to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby. (Quran, chapter 2:79)
Again the Quran reminds of the changed state of the Bible:
There is among them a section who distort the Book with their tongues: (As they read) you would think it is a part of the Book, but it is no part of the Book; and they say, “That is from Allah,” but it is not from Allah. It is they who tell a lie against Allah, and (well) they know it! (Quran, chapter 2:79)
But because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them- barring a few – ever bent on (new) deceits: but forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): for Allah loveth those who are kind. (Quran, chapter 5:13)
Similar to the Old Testament, it is a known fact that although the Gospels, which are attributed to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, all four scriptures have been written by anonymous authors; unknown persons who heard of the disciples who were eyewitnesses of Jesus. This very fact, as well as numerous inconsistencies within the Bible itself, are enough of evidences to Muslims that they have surely been changed from what the apostles originally pass on.
From those, too, who call themselves Christians, We did take a covenant, but they forgot a good part of the message that was sent them… (Quran, chapter 5:14)
God reminds us in the Quran that if only they (the people of the Book) had stood firmly by what was originally given to them they would have greatly benefited from the mercy of God.
If only they had stood fast by the Law, by the Gospel, and all the revelation that was sent to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from every side. There is from among them a party on the right course, but many of them follow a course that is evil. (Quran, chapter 5:66)
O people of the Book! There hath come to you our Messenger (i.e. Muhammad), revealing to you much that ye used to hide in the Book, and passing over much (that is now unnecessary). There hath come to you from Allah a (new) light and a perspicuous Book,- (Quran, chapter 5:15)
Say: “O people of the Book! exceed not in your religion the bounds (of what is proper), trespassing beyond the truth, nor follow the vain desires of people who went wrong in times gone by,- who misled many, and strayed (themselves) from the even way. (Quran, chapter 5:77)
9- Second coming of Jesus Coming as judge
The second coming of Jesus is very clear in the Quran.
Once returned, Jesus will be recognized by both sincere Jews and Christians, who are alive and such will believe in him and will be able to see the Truth of Islam (meaning “submission to God in peace”). He will be Judge man and rule the earth according to the Quranic law.
And he (Jesus) shall undoubtedly be a sign for the coming of the Hour (of Judgment). Therefore, have no doubt about the Hour but follow Me. This is a straight way (Quran, chapter 43:61)
And prophet Muhammad said:
“By Him in whose hands my soul rests, surely Jesus, Son of Mary, will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind judiciously, by the law of the Quran, as an honest ruler.”
10- A witness against them on the Day of Judgment
On the day of Judgment, Jesus will stand firmly as witness against the people of the book. He will stand as a witness against the Jews for rejecting him and against the Christians for claiming that he was the “son of God”, as well as a witness against both groups for rejecting Muhammad and the message of the Quran.
Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise;- (Quran, chapter 4:158)
And there is none of the People of the Book but must believe in him before his death; and on the Day of Judgment he will be a witness against them;- (Quran, chapter 4:159)
And behold! Allah will say: “O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah.?” He will say: “Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.
“Never said I to them aught except what Thou didst command me to say, to wit, ‘worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord’; and I was a witness over them whilst I dwelt amongst them; when Thou didst take me up Thou wast the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things.
“If Thou dost punish them, they are Thy servant: If Thou dost forgive them, Thou art the Exalted in power, the Wise.”
Allah will say: “This is a day on which the truthful will profit from their truth: theirs are gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,- their eternal Home: Allah well-pleased with them, and they with Allah. That is the great salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires).
To Allah doth belong the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is therein, and it is He Who hath power over all things.
(Quran, chapter 5:116 – 120)
Conclusion
There is not a single Muslim that can deny Jesus, for if any person does not believe in Jesus, by definition he or she cannot claim to be a Muslim.
Muslims believe that Jesus told his people to follow him and that if they do and accept his message, he would guide them to God and the Truth. However, as in the case most prophets of God, including Moses, he was rejected by many, even though he showed “clear proofs” from God, in raising the dead and curing the leper.
On the other hand, no Muslim will accept the concept of Trinity as believed by the Christians. Muslims love Jesus as a prophet. They believe that the message he brought to the people of the book (Jews and Christians) was the same message of worshiping one God – creator of the heavens and earth – as Moses brought, however people changed the message – i.e. “the Book and the Wisdom” – and sough to corrupt, compromise and deviate from the Truth for their own earthly gain; to make lawful what God has forbidden and to make forbidden what God has deemed lawful.
Muslims believe that Jesus was sent by God, taken back by God alive, and believe in his second coming as a Judge between by criterion of right and wrong and a just ruler as God permitted him to do. They believe that every alive person at the time will see his return.
O People of the Book! And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.(Quran, chapter 4:171)

Fearing God, happiness and the guided in Islam: beautiful verse of Quran
In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
3:102. O ye who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and die not except in a state of Islam.
3:103. And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah.s favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make His Signs clear to you: That ye may be guided.
3:104. Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones to attain felicity.
3:105. Be not like those who are divided amongst themselves and fall into disputations after receiving Clear Signs: For them is a dreadful penalty,-

Tafseer (interpretation and explanation):
The following is inspired – with some additions and changes – from Yusuf Ali’s Tafseer of (3:102 to 105) these few verses in his book The Meaning Of The Holy Quran:
Types of fear and their difference from fear from God:
There are four types of fear:
the abject fear of the coward;
the fear of a child or an inexperienced person in the face of an unknown danger;
the fear of a reasonable man who wishes to avoid harm to himself or to people who he wishes to protect;
the reverence which is akin to love, for it fears to do anything which is not pleasing to the object of love;
The first form of fear is unworthy of man; the second is necessary for one spiritually immature; the third is mainly precaution against evil as long as it is unconquered; and the fourth is the seed-bed of righteousness. Those (who are) mature in faith cultivate the fourth (type of fear); at earlier stages, the third or the second may be necessary; they are fears but not the fear of Allah. The first is a feeling of which anyone should be ashamed of. In the Quranic terms, fearing Allah is an absolute necessity for those who are endued with knowledge; they fear disobedience ways that would cause His displeasure with them and they fear Him who is “strict in punishment.”
We should not die, except in the state of Islam
We are commanded to die not except in a state of Islam – meaning submission to Allah in peace in every sense – we are being directed to have our whole being permeated with Islam, both in a spiritual sense as well as obeying God’s commands in living our lives, which are not a merely veneer or an outward show.
What does the rope of Allah mean?
The simile of the “Rope” is that of a people struggling in deep water, to whom a benevolent Providence stretches out a strong and unbreakable rope of rescue. If all hold fast to it together, their mutual support adds to the chance of their safety and survival both in this world and the next.
God joins the hearts of believers in love
The reminder that mankind were enemies and “He joined your hearts in love” has both historical and metaphorical implications. It, firstly, addresses the civil and tribal feuds and dissensions before the Messenger of God, Muhammad (pbuh) set sacred feet on its soil, and after that the City of Prophet – Madinah – was established in unmatched brotherhood and the pivot of Islam. But most importantly, it refers to the state of God-conscious love that He puts in the hearts of those who believe in Him that is extremely above and beyond in intensity to that of what most people regard as “love”; in His name and in His remembrance remembrance those who believe and follow His commandments become increasingly close to each other in love and protection of one another.
Salvation and happiness in the Quran:
The state of felicity in verse 104 refers to the root idea of attainment of happiness in this world and the next; success, prosperity, freedom from anxiety, care, or disturbed state of mind – the opposite of which that is stated in the next verse (not mentioned above), which includes: failure, misery, worry, punishment, penalty, agony and anguish. True Muslim(s) (the one who submmits to God in peace) is happy, untroubled by conflicts or doubts, sure of himself or herself, strong, united and prosperous, because he or she is not firm in her belief but aslo invites to all that is good, enjoins what is right and forbids what is wrong.
As always all praises are due to Allah and Allah knows best.

The Day of Judgment and the Last Hour: Similar verses between Bible and QuranAre there any similarities between the verses of the Bible and the holy Quran? This question has been asked...
Proof the Bible promises coming of Muhammad: as told by Moses, David, John and Jesus* * In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful According to the words of Moses (peace be upon him) and Jesus...
Are there any similarities between the verses of the Bible and the holy Quran? This question has been asked numerous times by people who have not yet read and understood the holy Quran. The answer is yes! And very many verses that point exactly to the same direction.Source
Interestingly, though, the adversities of the holy Quran, use these similarities to prove that the Quran was somehow “copied” from the Bible. The holy Quran itself answers such an accusation in numerous verses. We shall expand on this topic in later posts, inshaAllah (God willing).
The topic of “Similar verses between Bible and Quran” is the start of a series of posts on WisdomtoIslam.com, in which we will show our readers numerous places of conformity where certain issues have been mentioned in both the Bible and the Quran and in a quite similar nature. These will prove that even though the Bible has gone through numerous human additions and alterations, it still holds enough evidence for the “Christians” and the “Jews” to believe in the Quran, the Oneness of the all encompassing and all powerful being and submit to His call.

Our theme for this blog series will be the following verses of the holy Quran:
2:146. The people of the Book know this (Quran) as they know their own sons; but some of them conceal the truth which they themselves know.
6:20. Those to whom We have given the Book know this (Quran) as they know their own sons. Those who have lost their own souls refuse therefore to believe.
The end of Time – the last Hour – similar verses between the Bible and the Quran:
The Last Hour is a time of complete chaos and fear for mankind, especially those who did not live their earthly lives in accordance to God’s laws and decrees, it will be the beginning of the manifestations of shear power when everything that has been created will cease to exist. However, no one knows about when it will happen except the only one who created the universe in its first place. This very fact is evident in both the Bible and the holy Quran. Although, some Christians falsely believe that Jesus (pbuh) was the “son of god”, the bible alludes to the point that even “the Son” does not know about the time of the last hour. An astonishing similar verse of the Quran also tells us that the day of Judgment and the last Hour’s knowledge solely rests with God and He is the only being that has complete authority over it.
The end of time – the Last Hour – in the Bible
Mathew 24:36-44
“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.37As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
42“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
The end of time – the Last Hour – in the holy Quran
Surah Al-Araaf (Chapter of Cattle)
7:187. They ask thee (O Muhammad) about the (final) Hour – when will be its appointed time? Say: “The knowledge thereof is with my Lord (alone): None but He can reveal as to when it will occur. Heavy were its burden through the heavens and the earth. Only, all of a sudden will it come to you.” They ask thee as if thou Wert eager in search thereof: Say: “The knowledge thereof is with Allah (alone), but most men understand not.”
Surah Az-Zukhruf (Chapter of Ornaments of Gold)
43:61. And (Jesus) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way.

What Does Islam Say about The Day of Judgment
From: http://www.islam-guide.com/ch3-5.htm
Like Christians, Muslims believe that the present life is only a trial preparation for the next realm of existence. This life is a test for each individual for the life after death. A day will come when the whole universe will be destroyed and the dead will be resurrected for judgment by God. This day will be the beginning of a life that will never end. This day is the Day of Judgment. On that day, all people will be rewarded by God according to their beliefs and deeds.
Those who die while believing that “There is no true god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God” and are Muslim will be rewarded on that day and will be admitted to Paradise forever, as God has said:
And those who believe and do good deeds, they are dwellers of Paradise, they dwell therein forever. (Quran, 2:82)
But those who die while not believing that “There is no true god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God” or are not Muslim will lose Paradise forever and will be sent to Hellfire, as God has said:
And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him and he will be one of the losers in the Hereafter. (Quran, 3:85)
And as He has said:
Those who have disbelieved and died in disbelief, the earth full of gold would not be accepted from any of them if it were offered as a ransom. They will have a painful punishment, and they will have no helpers. (Quran, 3:91)
One may ask, ‘I think Islam is a good religion, but if I were to convert to Islam, my family, friends, and other people would persecute me and make fun of me. So if I do not convert to Islam, will I enter Paradise and be saved from Hellfire?’
The answer is what God has said in the preceding verse, “And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him and he will be one of the losers in the Hereafter.”
After having sent the Prophet Muhammad to call people to Islam, God does not accept adherence to any religion other than Islam. God is our Creator and Sustainer. He created for us whatever is in the earth. All the blessings and good things we have are from Him. So after all this, when someone rejects belief in God, His Prophet Muhammad , or His religion of Islam, it is just that he or she be punished in the Hereafter. Actually, the main purpose of our creation is to worship God alone and to obey Him, as God has said in the Holy Quran (51:56).
This life we live today is a very short life. The unbelievers on the Day of Judgment will think that the life they lived on earth was only a day or part of a day, as God has said:
He (God) will say, “How many years did you stay on the earth?” They will say: “We stayed a day or part of a day....” (Quran, 23:112-113)
And He has said:
Did you then think that We had created you in jest (without any purpose), and that you would not be returned to Us (in the Hereafter)? So, God is exalted, the True King. None has the right to be worshipped but Him... (Quran, 23:115-116)
The life in the Hereafter is a very real life. It is not only spiritual, but physical as well. We will live there with our souls and bodies.
In comparing this world with the Hereafter, the Prophet Muhammad said: {The value of this world compared to that of the Hereafter is like what your finger brings from the sea when you put it in and then take it out.}1 The meaning is that, the value of this world compared to that of the Hereafter is like a few drops of water compared to the sea.

Salvation in Islam (part 1 of 3): What is Salvation?
By Aisha Stacey
Islam teaches us that salvation is attainable through the worship of God alone. A person must believe in God and follow His commandments. This is the same message taught by all the Prophets including Moses and Jesus. There is only One worthy of worship. One God, alone without partners, sons, or daughters. Salvation and thus eternal happiness can be achieved by sincere worship.
In addition to this Islam teaches us that human beings are born without sin and are naturally inclined to worship God alone (without any intermediaries). To retain this state of sinlessness humankind must only follow God’s commandments and strive to live a righteous life. If one falls into sin, all that is required is sincere repentance followed by seeking God’s forgiveness. When a person sins he or she pushes themselves away from the mercy of God, however sincere repentance brings a person back to God.
Salvation is a powerful word that the dictionary defines as the act of preservation or deliverance from destruction, difficulty, or evil. Theologically it is spiritual rescue from sin and its consequences. More specifically, in Christianity it is associated with redemption and the atonement of Jesus. Salvation in Islam is a very different concept. While it does offer deliverance from the fires of hell, it also rejects some of the basic principles of Christianity and states clearly that salvation is attained only through submission to the most merciful, God.
“Those who remember God (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the earth, (saying), "Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! (Exalted are You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire.” (Quran 3:191)
According to Christian doctrine, humankind is considered wayward and sinful. The doctrine of original sin states that humankind is born already tainted by the sin of Adam and therefore separated from God, and in need of a redeemer. Islam on the other hand out rightly rejects the Christian concept of original sin and the notion that humankind is born sinful.
The idea that innocent babies or children are sinful sounds completely absurd to a believer who knows that Islam is about original forgiveness not original sin. Humankind, according to Islam is born in a state of purity, without sin and naturally inclined to worship and praise God. However, human beings are also given freewill and are thus capable of making mistakes and committing sins; they are even capable of committing great evil.
Whenever a person commits a sin, he alone is responsible for that sin. Every person is responsible for his or her own actions. Consequently, no human being who has ever lived is responsible for the mistakes made by Adam and Eve. God says in the Quran:
“And no bearer of burdens shall bear another’s burden.” (Quran 35:18)
Adam and Eve made a mistake, they repented sincerely, and God in His infinite wisdom forgave them. Humankind is not doomed to be punished, generation after generation. The sins of the father are not visited upon the sons.
“Then they both ate of that tree, and so their private parts appeared to them, and they began to stick on themselves the leaves from Paradise for their covering. Thus did Adam disobey his Lord, so he went astray. Then his Lord chose him, and turned to him with forgiveness and gave him guidance.” (Quran 20:121-122)
Above all Islam teaches us that God is the most forgiving, and will go on forgiving, repeatedly. Part of being human is making mistakes. Sometimes the mistakes are made without deliberation or a bad intention, but sometimes we knowingly and deliberately sin and do wrong to others. Therefore as human beings, we are constantly in need of forgiveness.
The life of this world is fraught with trials and tribulations, however God did not abandon humankind to theses tests. God equipped humankind with an intellect and the ability to make choices and decisions. God also gave us words of guidance. As our creator, He is well aware of our nature and eager to guide us on the straight path that leads to eternal bliss.
The Quran is God’s final revelation and it is applicable for all of humankind; all people, all places, all times. Throughout the Quran God continually asks us to turn to Him in repentance and ask for His forgiveness. This is the road to salvation. This is our rescue from destruction.
“And whoever does evil or wrongs himself but afterwards seeks God's forgiveness, he will find God Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Quran 4:10)
“And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him, He will send you (from the sky) abundant rain, and add strength to your strength, so do not turn away as criminals, disbelievers in the Oneness of God.” (Quran 11:52)
“Say: ‘O My slaves who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of God, indeed God forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.’” (Quran 39:53)
Quran is not only a book of guidance, it is a book of hope. In it God’s love, mercy, and forgiveness are obvious and thus humankind is reminded not to give in to despair. No matter what sins a person may have committed if he resolutely turns to God, seeking forgiveness his salvation is assured.
Prophet Muhammad described sin as black spots covering the heart. He said, “Indeed if a believer sins, a black spot covers his heart. If he repents, stops the sin, and seeks forgiveness for it, his heart becomes clean again. If he persists (instead of repenting), it increases until it covers his heart…”[1]
Salvation in Islam is not required because of the stain of original sin. Salvation is required because humankind is imperfect and in need of God’s forgiveness and love. In order to understand the concept of salvation correctly we must understand other topics embedded in salvation. These are, understanding the importance of tawheed, or the Oneness of God, and knowing how to repent sincerely . We will discuss these topics in the next two articles.

How Jesus Peace Be Upon Him and Al Mahdi Al Muntazer Compare
Before the second coming of Jesus there will be a man who will get the earth ready to the second coming. It will be a period of tribulation he really will not have a fun job to do. It will be very exciting time for the transition of a new era but dangerous second to the wrath of God in humans for rejecting his path and the teachings of the great prophet Jesus (PBUH). There is big difference between Jesus and Al Mahdi that they should not even be compared but to correct people misunderstandings particularly Christians I will mention the differences:
1- Jesus is a great prophet, Al Mahdi is an ordinary Muslim but God sees in him what the people do not see.
2- Jesus is almost sinless, Al Mahdi has his sins and his goods, nothing major here or there.
3- Jesus sent with the Gospels that recorded, though less perfectly, Al Mahdi is not bringing any revelation, though he would have good plans to the world and have good understanding of the religion of Islam.
4- Jesus is mentioned in the Quran by name 25 times, Al Mahdi is not in the Quran but few hadith.
5- Jesus is of the top most suffered prophets of God: Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad. Al Mahdi is even less in place than the 4 great Khalif that followed prophet Muhammad.
6- Jesus is a prophet since his birth, Al Mahdi would not be even aware for long time or sure for short time that he is chosen until God would have his way to have people have faith in him.
7- Jesus 's mother is the real first lady to all true believers, Al Mahdi mother is an ordinary Muslim woman.
8- Al Mahdi function ends as Jesus descend to the earth, if even he lives to see this great prophet. If he is a life he is very likely will go back to live the quite simple life he loves most.
So the false interpretation of some Christians that he is the Anti-Christ or the evil guy who is possessed by Satan and he will fight Jesus as he descend from heaven are fantasy. Come on who will fight a prophet descending from heaven with angels. The rupture is not that the good Christians will fly up to meet Jesus in the air, but very likely Christians will willingly convert to Islam, no compulsion in faith. Wake up guys reconsider prophecies.
