The Universality of Islam

By: Maged Taman

1- God Created everything in the universe:
The reason for creation is to worship the creator: It would not increase or diminish his creation he is not needing of us though it would please him to find us grateful.6:102 Such is Allah, your Lord. There is no God save Him, the creator of all things, so worship Him. And He taketh care of all things.

42:29 And among His signs is the [very] creation of the heavens and the earth, and of all the living creatures which He has caused to multiply throughout them: and [since He has created them,] He has [also] the power to gather them [unto Himself] whenever He wills.

Behold! In the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of the Night and the Day; in the sailing of the ships through the Ocean for the profit of mankind; in the rain which Allah sends down from the skies, and the life which He gives therewith to an earth that is dead; in the beasts of all kinds that He scatters through the earth; in the change of the winds and the clouds which they trail like their slaves between the sky and the earth, (here) indeed are Signs for a people that are wise.

2- God knowledge encompass all the universe:
(2:29)2:29 (Picktall) He it is Who created for you all that is in the earth. Then turned He to the heaven, and fashioned it as seven heavens. And He is knower of all things.

6:59 (Picktall) And with Him are the keys of the invisible. None but He knoweth them. And He knoweth what is in the land and the sea. Not a leaf falleth but He knoweth it, not a grain amid the darkness of the earth, naught of wet or dry but (it is noted) in a clear record.

29:52 (Picktall) Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Allah sufficeth for witness between me and you. He knoweth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those who believe in vanity and disbelieve in Allah, they it is who are the losers

34:3)34:3 (Picktall) Those who disbelieve say: The Hour will never come unto us. Say : Nay, by my Lord, but it is coming unto you surely. (He is) the knower of the Unseen. Not an atom's weight, or less than that or greater, escapeth Him in the heavens or in the earth, but it is in a clear Record,

3- All Mankind is the one who needed God for his creation as well the universe:
O mankind! It is you that have need of Allah. But Allah is the One Free of all wants, worthy of all praise.[35:15]

O mankind! Here is a parable set forth! Listen to it! Those on whom, besides Allah, you call, cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! And if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition! [22:73]

4- Humans created from one man and one woman:
49:13 O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware. -

5- The universe is created for man to ponder and know the creator:
Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (with the thought): "Our Lord! not for naught hast thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the Penalty of the Fire.

6- In fact in the creation of the universe and the human creation comes the clear signs of the creator:
41:53 In time We shall make them fully understand Our messages [through what they perceive] in the utmost horizons [of the universe] and within themselves, so that it will become clear unto them that this [revelation] is indeed the truth. [Still,] is it not enough [for them to know] that thy Sustainer is witness unto everything?

7- Everything in the universe praise God:
17:44 The seven heavens and the earth and all that is therein praise Him, and there is not a thing but hymneth his praise; but ye understand not their praise. Lo! He is ever Clement, Forgiving.

3:83 Do they seek for other than the religion of Allah.-while all creatures in the heavens and on earth have, willing or unwilling, bowed to His Will (Accepted Islam), and to Him shall they all be brought back.

8- Submission or Islam is the universal religion of all prophets:
2:132 The same did Abraham enjoin upon his sons, and also Jacob, (saying): O my sons! Lo! Allah hath chosen for you the (true) religion; therefore die not save as men who have surrendered (unto Him).
10:84 Moses said: "O my people! If ye do (really) believe in Allah, then in Him put your trust if ye submit (your will to His)."

10:90 We took the Children of Israel across the sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them in insolence and spite. At length, when overwhelmed with the flood, he said: "I believe that there is no god except Him Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am of those who submit (to Allah in Islam)."

12:101 (Joseph) "O my Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on me some power, and taught me something of the interpretation of dreams and events,- O Thou Creator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my Protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Take Thou my soul (at death) as one submitting to Thy will (as a Muslim), and unite me with the righteous."

3:52 When Jesus found Unbelief on their part He said: "Who will be My helpers to (the work of) Allah." Said the disciples: "We are Allah's helpers: We believe in Allah, and do thou bear witness that we are muslims.

9- The true religion of God through all the prophets is a universal religion:
The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction (they say) between any of His messengers." And they say: "We hear and we obey; (We seek) Your forgiveness, Our Lord, and to You is the ultimate return." (Quran, 2:285)

10- The prophet of Islam Muhammad (PBUH) is the messenger to all mankind:
7:158 Say (O Muhammad): O mankind! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah to you all--(the messenger of) Him unto whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. There is no God save Him. He quickeneth and He giveth death. So believe in Allah and His messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write, who believeth in Allah and in His words and follow him that haply ye may be led aright.

48:28 He it is Who hath sent His messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that He may cause it to prevail over all religion. And Allah sufficeth as a witness.

11- The universal fact is all people will die and they will resurrect to a happy or miserable life for the hereafter:
(3:185) 3:185 (Picktall) Every soul will taste of death. And ye will be paid on the Day of Resurrection only that which ye have fairly earned. Whoso is removed from the Fire and is made to enter paradise, he indeed is triumphant. The life of this world is but comfort of illusion.

Testimonials on Explore the Quran Campaign

From: http://www.explorethequran.com/about-the-quran/testimonials.html

A Maryland public official -
“I have long wanted a copy of the Quran for my personal library and very much appreciate this version…The cover letter with the Quran describes the Share the Quran project through which your gift was sent. That program – and your participation in it – are representative of an extraordinary effort to enhance public understanding of Islam. You both are true ambassadors of your faith.”
J. O. -
My copy of the Quran is very beautiful. This project is a very generous gesture on the part of CAIR. May we all find peace living together.
D. Z. -
I’m looking forward to this opportunity to begin studying the Quran. I had hesitated to buy a translation without much more knowledge than I have. Your great conviction that this translation will be worth my study despite the real limits of any translation is most helpful. Also helpful the guidelines on respectful handling of the Quran. Thank you very much!
W. C. -
Very impressed! Excited to begin reading and studying. I teach 7th grade Soc. Studies in NC. The curriculum calls for studying religions and this wilhelp me to have a much better understanding of Islam. Thank you!
A. G. -
What a beautiful copy of the Quran you sent! Thank you. I look forward to learning more about the sacred text of Islam. My 15 year old son is excited to have a copy in our home. It’s so important to be making bridges between our faiths in these times.
A. O. -
I am impressed. What a generous gift and effective way to spread understanding.
B. K. F. -
I’ve just signed up for a free copy of the Quran and wanted to thank you for this extraordinary gift. But more than just this gift, your efforts to open up a dialogue between all people of faith, specifically to help educate non-Muslims on the religious and cultural traditions of Islam, come as a healing balm to soothe a sick and troubled and disastrously misinformed public. For that you deserve the gratitude of a nation.
C. C. WZTK Burlington, NC -
Thank you so much! I’m an AM Talk Show Host. Thank you so much for the offer of the Holy Book of Islam. With the obvious hate and ignorance Americans are so quick to display, I’m honored to beoffered this opportunity.
B. S. B. -
I received my copy of the Quran yesterday. Thank you very much. It is a beautiful book and I look forward to reading it in order to gain a greater knowledge of cultures of the Middle East and Asia.
J. A. State College, PA -
This is to thank you for the Holy Quran you recently sent to me. On my word, I will afford no less than the care suggested on the enclosed letter. As a Friend in a Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship, my religious and spiritual quest is free and open; thus, there is inherent respect for, and openness to, Islam and its teachings. Indeed, our fellowship has only this month begun a study group on the Quran with the gracious help of the local Islamic community. I feel that such actions are the least I can do to further inter-faith understanding in a deeply divided nation.

Blogger Comment:
Muslims should not take it in any offensive way that Christians want to convert Muslims to Christianity and the opposite is true. Jesus second coming is quite accelerating in few years. I do not make this up look at the world and read all Jewish, Christians and Muslims prophecies for the end of time you find that we are really in the end of time.

Human Life Cycle in The Quran

By: Maged Taman

1- We are created from one single soul Adam:

4:1 O mankind! Be careful of your duty to your Lord Who created you from a single soul and from it created its mate and from them twain hath spread abroad a multitude of men and women. Be careful of your duty toward Allah in Whom ye claim ( your rights ) of one another, and toward the wombs (that bore you ). Lo! Allah hath been a Watcher over you.

2- God fashion us in our mothers wombs:

3:6 He it is who fashioneth you in the wombs as pleaseth Him. There is no God save Him, the Almighty, the Wiseهُوَ الَّذِي يُصَوِّرُكُمْ فِي الأَرْحَامِ كَيْفَ يَشَاء لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ (3:6)

3- We come out to the world with no knowledge but with its tools: which are mainly hearing, seeing and mind. Though faith is mind and heart, in Islam heart is usually the word used for that. It is like love which is built on both mind and heart but heart is used to express this feeling. We have also the fatra or inborn instinct that make us recognize God.

16:78 And Allah brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers knowing nothing, and gave you hearing and sight and hearts that haply ye might give thanks.

4- We marry and the same cycle happen with our children and grandchildren:

16:72 And Allah has made for you mates (and companions) of your own nature, and made for you, out of them, sons and daughters and grandchildren, and provided for you sustenance of the best:will they then believe in vain things, and be ungrateful for Allah's favours?

5- We enjoy life which is like a green plant that turns to yellow then dry and die:

57:20 Know ye (all), that the life of this world is but play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting and multiplying, (in rivalry) among yourselves, riches and children. Here is a similitude: How rain and the growth which it brings forth, delight (the hearts of) the tillers; soon it withers; thou wilt see it grow yellow; then it becomes dry and crumbles away. But in the Hereafter is a Penalty severe (for the devotees of wrong). And Forgiveness from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure (for the devotees of Allah.. And what is the life of this world, but goods and chattels of deception?

6- We come out weak from our mothers wombs then become strong then weak and old:

(30:54 30:54 (Picktall) Allah is He who shaped you out of weakness, then appointed after weakness strength, then, after strength, appointed weakness and grey hair. He createth what He will. He is the Knower, the Mighty.

7- Some of us answer God's call:

3:193 Our Lord! Lo! we have heard a crier calling unto faith: "Believe ye in your Lord!" So we believed. Our Lord! Therefor forgive us our sins, and remit from us our evil deeds, and make us die the death of the righteous.

8- Some of us live only for material:

25:44 Or deemest thou that most of them hear or understand? They are but as the cattle, nay, but they are farther astray!

9- When we reach the age of reason about 40 years all who are wise submit to God: we realize more the above verse 57:20 and we thank him for his favors and ask the blessings to our children. Though people ought to be religious from early age by this age most would have made their mind.

46:15 And We have commended unto man kindness toward parents. His mother beareth him with suffering, and bringeth him forth with suffering, and the bearing of him and the weaning of him is thirty months, till, when he attaineth full strength and reacheth forty years, he saith: My Lord! Arouse me that I may give thanks for the favor wherewith Thou hast favored me and my parents, and that I may do right acceptable unto Thee. And be gracious unto me In the matter of my seed. Lo! I have turned unto Thee repentant, and lo! I am of those who surrender (unto Thee).

10-Then we die at a term appointed to each of us to return back to God:

32:11 Say: The angel of death, who hath charge concerning you, will gather you, and afterward unto your Lord ye will be returned.

3:145 No soul can ever die except by Allah's leave and at a term appointed. Whoso desireth the reward of the world, We bestow on him thereof; and whoso desireth the reward of the Hereafter, We bestow on him thereof. We shall reward the thankful.

Was The Quran Inspired By Satan?

By: Maged Taman

Some people in the west alleged that the Quran is inspired by Satan. For all Muslims this is a real joke. Even at the time I was suspicious in my early twenties about the truth of the Quran, it never happened to me it can be inspired by Satan. My suspicion was: is Muhammad (PBUH) is a good man that created the Quran for a good reason (see topic in my blog http://www.commonsensemessiah.blogspot.com/ : Muhammad (PBUH) a prophet from God: Proofs). These are my points:

1- Satan would praise God's creation!!: I can understand Satan would inspire us to think the creation is a chance, spontaneous evolution or UFO genetic engineering not to praise God's creation.

2:29 It is He Who hath created for you all things that are on earth; Moreover His design comprehended the heavens, for He gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things He hath perfect knowledge.

2- Satan would tell us when you read the Quran to ask God's protection from Satan!!

16:98 When thou dost read the Qur'an, seek Allah's protection from satan the rejected one.

3- Satan would warn us about Satan!!

7:27 O ye Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you, in the same manner as He got your parents out of the Garden, stripping them of their raiment, to expose their shame: for he and his tribe watch you from a position where ye cannot see them: We made the evil ones friends to those without faith.

4- Satan would preach us humility!!

6:43 When the suffering reached them from us, why then did they not learn humility? On the contrary their hearts became hardened, and satan made their (sinful) acts seem alluring to them.

5- Satan would warn us of his evil and ask us to to follow God to be pure!!

24:21 O ye who believe! follow not satan's footsteps: if any will follow the footsteps of satan, he will (but) command what is shameful (sins) and wrong: and were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, not one of you would ever have been pure: but Allah doth purify whom He pleases: and Allah is One Who hears and knows (all things).

6- Satan would ask us to pray to God and be regular in charity!!

2:110 And be steadfast in prayer and regular in charity: And whatever good ye send forth for your souls before you, ye shall find it with Allah. for Allah sees Well all that ye do.

7- Satan would tell us to talk the best so we do not get enemies through arguments!!

17:53 Say to My servants that they should (only) say those things that are best: for satan doth sow dissensions among them: For satan is to man an avowed enemy.

8- Satan would tell us to treat him as an enemy!!

35:6 Verily satan is an enemy to you: so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his adherents, that they may become Companions of the Blazing Fire.

9- Satan would warn us of the harm of drug addiction (including alcohol) and gambling!!

5:91 satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain?

10- Satan would be pro-Christ!!

5:46 And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.

11- Satan would tell us to think of the creation and praise God!! a very nice Satan.

3:190 Behold! in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day,- there are indeed Signs for men of understanding,- إِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلاَفِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ لآيَاتٍ لِّأُوْلِي الألْبَابِ
3:191 Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (With the thought): "Our Lord! not for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire.

12- Satan would tell us that in the day of judgment he will declare his success in giving us the false promise!!

14:22 And satan will say when the matter is decided: "It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised, but I failed in my promise to you. I had no authority over you except to call you but ye listened to me: then reproach not me, but reproach your own souls. I cannot listen to your cries, nor can ye listen to mine. I reject your former act in associating me with Allah. For wrong-doers there must be a grievous penalty."

Chapter 13: The Thunder

By: Maged Taman:

1- The Quran is the truth:
13:1 Alif. Lam. Mim. Ra. These are verses of the Scripture. That which is revealed unto thee from thy Lord is the Truth, but most of mankind believe not. (13:1) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

2- God has the creation of heavens, the sun and moon, and the order of the universe:
13:2 Allah it is who raised up the heavens without visible supports, then mounted the Throne, and compelled the sun and the moon to be of service, each runneth unto an appointed term; He ordereth the course; He detaileth the revelations, that haply ye may be certain of the meeting with your Lord. (13:2) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

3- Similarly he created the earth and what it contains:
13:3 And He it is who spread out the earth and placed therein firm hills and flowing streams, and of all fruits be placed therein two spouses (male and female). He covereth the night with the day. Lo! herein verily are portents for people who take thought. (13:3) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

4- More explanation of what it contains:
13:4 And in the Earth are neighboring tracts, vineyards and ploughed lands, and date palms, like and unlike, which are watered with one water. And We have made some of them to excel others in fruit. Lo! herein verily are portents for people who have sense. (13:4) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

5- After all of that man denies that God can recreate again:
13:5 And if thou wonderest, then wondrous is their saying: When we are dust, are we then forsooth (to be raised) in a new creation? Such are they who disbelieve in their Lord; such have carcans on their necks; such are rightful owners of the Fire, they will abide therein. (13:5) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

6- They even challenged the prophet to bring punishment on them as a sign:
13:6 And they bid thee hasten on the evil rather than the good, when exemplary punishments have indeed occurred before them. But lo! thy Lord is rich in pardon for mankind despite their wrong, and lo! thy Lord is strong in punishment! (13:6) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

7- They wondered if he can bring on them a sign, though the guidance of the Quran is a major sign:
13:7 Those who disbelieve say: If only some portent were sent down upon him from his Lord! Thou art a warner only, and for every folk a guideوَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لَوْلآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِ إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مُنذِرٌ وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ (13:7) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

8- A sign for them is the fetus God knows everything about him and when he will be delivered, and everything is measured:
13:8 Allah knoweth that which every female beareth and that which the wombs absorb and that which they grow. And everything with Him is measured. (13:8) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

9- He is the knower of the visible and invisible:
13:9 He is the Knower of the invisible and the visible, the Great, the High Exalted. (13:9) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

10- God knows what we say and what we hide in all times:
13:10 Alike of you is he who hideth the saying and he who noiseth it abroad, he who lurketh in the night and he who goeth freely in the daytime. (13:10) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

11- God have guardian angels to us, He does not change our conditions until we initiate the change:
13:11 For him are angels ranged before him and behind him who guard him by Allah's command. Lo! Allah changeth not the condition of a folk until they (first) change that which is in their hearts; and if Allah willeth misfortune for a folk there is none that can repel it, nor have they a defender beside Him. (13:11) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

12- From his signs is the lighting that emerge from the heavy cloud:
13:12 He it is Who showeth you the lightning, a fear and a hope, and raiseth the heavy clouds. (13:12) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

13- The thunder and angels praise him, and people dispute about him and he is the very mighty:
13:13 The thunder hymneth His praise and (so do) the angels for awe of Him. He launcheth the thunder bolts and smiteth with them whom He will while they dispute (in doubt) concerning Allah, and He is mighty in wrath. (13:13) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

14- Unto him the real prayer, others they pray to are like stretching your hands hoping that the water will reach to your hands from far:
13:14 Unto Him is the real prayer. Those unto whom they pray beside Allah respond to them not at all, save as (if the response to) one who stretcheth forth his hands toward water (asking) that it may come unto his mouth, and it will never reach it. (13:14) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

15- Whatever in heavens or earth prostrate to him:
13:15 And unto Allah falleth prostrate whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, as do their shadows in the morning and the evening hours. (13:15) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

16- God is the only protector and creator:
13:16 Say (O Muhammad): Who is Lord of the heaven and the earth? Say: Allah! Say: Take ye then (others) beside Him for protectors, which, even for themselves, have neither benefit nor hurt? Say: Is the blind man equal to the seer, or is darkness equal to light? Or assign they unto Allah partners Who created the like of His creation so that the creation (which they made and His creation) seemed alike to them? Say: Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Almighty. (13:16) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

17- The truth of God is like the water that remain in the land to nurture it while the falsehood is like the foam:
13:17 He sendeth down water from the sky, so that valleys flow according to their measure, and the flood beareth (on its surface) swelling foam from that which they felt in the fire in order to make ornaments and tools riseth a foam like unto it thus Allah coineth (the similitude of) the true and the false. Then, as for the foam, it passeth away as scum upon the banks, while, as for that which is of use to mankind, it remaineth in the earth. Thus Allah coineth the similitudes. (13:17) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

18- Those who answered God call has the blissing and those who are arrogant will have his curse:
13:18 For those who answered Allah's call is bliss; and for those who answered not His call, if they had all that is in the earth, and therewith the like thereof, they would proffer it as ransom. Such will have a woeful reckoning, and their habitation will be hell, a dire abode. (13:18) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

19- Those who were looking for the truth and find it are not like who are blinded away from the truth:
13:19 Is he who knoweth that what is revealed unto thee from thy Lord is the truth like him who is blind? But only men of understanding heed; (13:19) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

20- Those who keep the pact of God and his covenant:
13:20 Such as keep the pact of Allah, and break not the covenant; (13:20) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

21- They do so by following his commandaments:
13:21 Such as unite that which Allah hath commanded should be joined, and fear their Lord, and dread a woeful reckoning. (13:21) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

22- The most beloved of their actions are patience and prayers:
13:22 Such as persevere in seeking their Lord's countenance and are regular in prayer and spend of that which We bestow upon them secretly and openly, and overcome evil with good. Theirs will be the sequel of the (heavenly) Home. (13:22) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

23- Those God reward with paradise and the company of the good of their families:
13:23 Gardens of Eden which they enter, along with all who do right of their fathers and their helpmeets and their seed. The angels enter unto them from every gate. (13:23) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

24- They will be greeted by the angels:
13:24 (Saying): Peace be unto you because ye persevered. Ah, passing sweet will be the sequel of the (heavenly) Home. (13:24) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

25- In the contrast those who break the covenant are cursed:
13:25 And those who break the covenant of Allah after ratifying it, and sever that which Allah hath commanded should be joined, and make mischief in the earth: theirs is the curse and theirs the ill abode. (13:25) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

26- Our fortune is from God who determine the rich and poor, though for him the real comfort is that of the afterlife:
13:26 Allah enlargeth livelihood for whom He will, and straiteneth (it for whom He will); and they rejoice in the life of the world, whereas the life of the world is but brief comfort as compared with the Hereafter. (13:26) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

27- They keep asking for a sign, it is not by a sign but by God's guidance:
13:27 Those who disbelieve say: If only a portent were sent down upon him from his Lord! Say: Lo! Allah sendeth whom He will astray, and guideth unto Himself all who turn (unto Him), (13:27) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

28- This is a major sign the comfort we feel in our heart by the remeberance of God:
13:28 Who have believed and whose hearts have rest in the remembrance of Allah. Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest! (13:28) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

29- Because of faith and good deeds God will reward the above believers with the joy of afterlife:
13:29 Those who believe and do right: Joy is for them, and bliss (their) journey's end. - English
Topics discussed in this Verse: (13:29) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

30- Because of all of the above we sent you to this nation:
13:30 Thus We send thee (O Muhammad) unto a nation, before whom other nations have passed away, that thou mayst recite unto them that which We have inspired in thee, while they are disbelievers in the Beneficent. Say: He is my Lord; there is no God save Him. In Him do I put my trust and unto Him is my recourse. (13:30) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

31- Thus you Muhammad and believers do not feel despair that people do not believe: if they looking for a Quran to move mountains, torn the earth asunder or make the dead hear it will be this.
13:31 Had it been possible for a Lecture to cause the mountains to move, or the earth to be torn asunder, or the dead to speak, (this Quran would have done so). Nay, but Allah's is the whole command. Do not those who believe know that, had Allah willed, He could have guided all mankind? As for those who disbelieve, disaster ceaseth not to strike them because of what they do, or it dwelleth near their home until the threat of Allah come to pass. Lo! Allah faileth not to keep the tryst. (13:31) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

32- Moreover, prophets before you were mocked and I punished the wicked:
13:32 And verily messengers (of Allah) were mocked before thee, but long I bore with those who disbelieved. At length I seized them, and how (awful) was My punishmentوَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِىءَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ (13:32) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

33- The wickedness of the disblievers looked good to them:
13:33 Is He Who is aware of the deserts of every soul (as he who is aware of nothing)? Yet they ascribe unto Allah partners. Say: Name them. Is it that ye would inform Him of something which He knoweth not in the earth? Or is it but a way of speaking? Nay, but their contrivance is made seeming fair for those who disbelieve and they are kept from the right road. He whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide. (13:33) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

34- They will be punished in this life and more so the afterlife:
13:34 For them is torment in the life of the world, and verily the doom of the Hereafter is more painful, and they have no defender from Allah. (13:34) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

35-Paradise to the fearful of God and fire for the disblievers:
13:35 A similitude of the Garden which is promised unto those who keep their duty (to Allah): Underneath it rivers flow; its food is everlasting, and its shade; this is the reward of those who keep their duty, while the reward of disbelievers is the Fire. (13:35) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

36- From the people of the scripture are those who believe in all of the Quran:
13:36 Those unto whom We gave the Scripture rejoice in that which is revealed unto thee. And of the clans there are who deny some of it. Say: I am commanded only that I serve Allah and ascribe unto Him no partner. Unto Him I cry, and unto Him is my return. (13:36) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

37- The Quran came decisive in Arabic:
13:37 Thus have We revealed it, a decisive utterance in Arabic and if thou shouldst follow their desires after that which hath come unto thee of knowledge, then truly wouldst thou have from Allah no protecting friend nor defender. (13:37) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

38- Messangers before Muhammad had wives and offspring, they do not bring sign except by God 's permission:
13:38 And verily We sent messengers (to mankind) before thee, and We appointed for them wives and offspring, and it was not (given) to any messenger that he should bring a portent save by Allah's leave. For everything there is a time prescribed. (13:38) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

39- God erase or establish what he want, every thing is ordained:
13:39 Allah effaceth what He will, and establisheth (what He will), and with Him is the source of ordinanceيَمْحُو اللّهُ مَا يَشَاء وَيُثْبِتُ وَعِندَهُ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ (13:39) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

40- A sign that we promise them while you are alive or after your death will happen:
13:40 Whether We let thee see something of that which We have promised them, or make thee die (before its happening), thine is but conveyance (of the message), Ours the reckoningوَإِن مَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلاَغُ وَعَلَيْنَا الْحِسَابُ (13:40) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

41- A sign of him is the land of the disblievers is reduced by the spread of the land of the faithfuls:
13:41 See they not how We visit the land, reducing it of its outlying parts? (When) Allah doometh there is none that can postpone His doom, and He is swift at reckoning. (13:41) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

42- Before them people plotted, but to God all the plotting: many times their plot is part of his plan.
13:42 Those who were before them plotted; but all plotting is Allah's. He knoweth that which each soul earneth. The disbelievers will come to know for whom will be the sequel of the (heavenly) Home. (13:42) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

43- The disblievers denied Muhammad being a messanger: God is the best witness for him and that who faithfully studied the scripture.
13:43 They who disbelieve say: Thou art no messenger (of Allah). Say: Allah, and whosoever hath true knowledge of the Scripture, is sufficient witness between me and you. (13:43) Baset - Hussari - Minshawi

(5:44) Surely We revealed the Torah, wherein there is guidance and light. Thereby did Prophets - who had submitted themselves (to Allah) - judge for the Judaized folk;72 and so did the scholars and jurists.73 They judged by the Book of Allah for they had been entrusted to keep it, and bear witness to it. So (O Jews!) do not fear men but fear Me, and do not barter away My signs for a trivial gain. Those who do not judge by what Allah has revealed are indeed the unbelievers.
*72.Here the verse tells the Jews that all the Prophets were muslims (submitters to God) whereas the Jews had deviated from islam (submission to God), and true to their chauvinistic sectarianism, were content with remaining merely 'Jews'.
*73.Rabbani = religious scholars, theologians. Ahbar = religious jurists.

(5:45) And therein We had ordained for them: 'A life for a life, and an eye for an eye, and a nose for a nose, and an ear for an ear, and a tooth for a tooth, and for all wounds, like for like.74 But whosoever forgoes it by way of charity, it will be for him an expiation.75 Those who do not judge by what Allah has revealed are indeed the wrong-doers.
*74. Cf. Exodus 21: 23-5.
*75. Whoever forgoes his right of retaliation does a good deed which will atone for many of his sins. The same is confirmed by a tradition of the Prophet (peace be on him) in which he said: 'Whoever receives an injury on his body, then pardons (the inflictor of the injury), his sins are atoned for to the measure of his pardoning.' (Ahmad b. Hanbal, Musnad, vol. 5, pp. 316, 329 - Ed.)

(5:46) And We sent Jesus, the son of Mary, after those Prophets, confirming the truth of whatever there still remained of the Torah. And We gave him the Gospel, wherein is guidance and light, and which confirms the truth of whatever there still remained of the Torah,76 and a guidance and admonition for the God-fearing.
*76.The Messiah did not expound a new religion. That very religion which had been the religion of all the Prophets was also his religion, and it is towards that religion that he called people. He believed in the true teachings of the Torah which were extant in his time, and the Gospels (Injil) confirm this (see, for example, Matthew 5: 17-18). The Qur'an repeatedly stresses the fundamental fact that none of the Prophets of God, no matter in which part of the world they appeared, denied the Prophets who had preceded them. On the contrary, each Prophet confirmed the message of his predecessors and sought to promote the mission which was the sacred legacy of them all. God did not reveal any of the Books in order to repudiate the previous ones; each confirmed and supported the preceding ones.

(5:47) Let the followers of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein, and those who do not judge by what Allah has revealed are the transgressors.77
*77. Here three judgements are issued against those who do not judge in accordance with the Law revealed by God. The first is that they are kafir (unbelievers); the second, that they are zalim (wrong-doers); and the third, that they are fasiq (transgressors). This clearly means that one who, in disregard of God's commandments and of the Laws revealed by Him, pronounces judgements according to man-made laws (whether made by himself or by others) is guilty of three major offences. First, his act amounts to rejecting the commandment of God, and this rejection is equivalent to kufr (infidelity, unbelief). Second, his act is contrary to justice, for only the laws made by God are in complete accord with the dictates of justice. Any judgement in contravention of God's injunctions amounts, therefore, to committing injustice (zulm). Third, when he enforces either his own or anyone else's law in disregard of the Laws of his Lord he steps out of the fold of subjection and obedience, and this constitutes fisq (transgression). Kufr, zulm and fisq are essential elements in deviation from God's commandments. One finds them wherever there is deviation from the commandment of God. There is variation in the degree of deviation and hence in the degree of these three offences. Whoever passes judgement on something in opposition to an injunction of God, believing that injunction to be false, and holds either his own or anyone else's judgement to be sound, is an unbeliever (kafir), wrong-doer (zalim) and transgressor (fasiq). A man who is convinced that the injunctions of God are right but makes judgements contrary to them in practice is not an unbeliever in the sense that he ceases to remain a member of the Islamic community, but he is guilty of adulterating his faith by blending it with kufr, zulm and fisq. In the same manner, those who deviate from the injunctions of God in all matters are unbelievers, wrong-doers and transgressors. For those who are obedient in some respects and disobedient in others, the blending of faith and submission to God with the opposite attributes of unbelief, wrong-doing and transgression in their lives will be exactly in proportion to the mixture of their obedience to and their deviation from God's commands. Some commentators have attempted to restrict the application of these verses to the People of the Book alone. The verses, however, hardly lend themselves to such a restrictive interpretation. The best answer to such a restrictive interpretation has been given by the Companion Hudhayfah. When someone told him that these verses related merely to the Israelites, meaning that the unbelievers, wrong-doers and transgressors were only the Jews who passed judgement contrary to the injunctions revealed by God, Hudhayfah remarked: 'What good brothers these Israelites are to you! Whatever is bitter goes to them; whatever is sweet comes to you. Nay, by God, you will follow their way, your steps following theirs.'

(5:48) Then We revealed the Book to you (O Muhammad!) with Truth, confirming whatever of the Book was revealed before,78 and protecting and guarding over it.79 Judge, then, in the affairs of men in accordance with the Law that Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires in disregard of the Truth which has come to you. For each of you We have appointed a Law and a way of life.80 And had Allah so willed, He would surely have made you one single community; instead, (He gave each of you a Law and a way of life) in order to test you by what He gave you. Vie, then, one with another in good works. Unto Allah is the return of all of you; and He will then make you understand the truth concerning the matters on which you disagreed.81
*78. This points to a fact of major significance. It could also have been said that the Qur'an confirms all those parts of the earlier divine books which are still extant in their true and original form. But the sense has been conveyed by employing the word 'the Book' rather than 'the previous Books'. This expression reveals that the Qur'an and all those Books sent down by God at various times and in different languages in reality constitute one and the same Book. Their Author is one and the same; their aim and purpose are the same; their teaching is the same; and the knowledge which they seek to impart to mankind is the same. The difference between these Books lies in their modes of expression, and this was necessarily so since they were addressed to different audiences. It is, therefore, not merely that these divine books support rather than contradict each other but that they are actually different editions of one and the same book - 'the Book'.
*79. In Arabic, haymana, yuhayminu, hayamanah signify 'to protect, to witness, to keep trust, to back and to support'. The expression 'haymana al-rajul al-shay' means that the man protected and guarded the thing. Likewise, 'haymana al-ta'ir 'alafirdkhih' means that the bird took its young ones under the protection of its wings. Once 'Umar said to the people: 'Inni da'in fa hayminu' ('I am praying; support me by saying amen'). To say that the Qur'an is muhaymin of al-kitab means that it preserves all the true teachings of the earlier divine books; that it has secured them from loss. The Qur'an also confirms those Books in that the contents of the Qur'an testify to the truth of those parts which are indeed from God. The Qur'an is, further, a witness over those Books in the sense that, with its help, the elements which embody true revelations from God can be distinguished from the accretions which have corrupted them. Whatever in these Books accords with the Qur'an is from God, and whatever is not in conformity with it is from human beings.
*80. This is a parenthetical phrase, the purpose of which is to elucidate a question which is likely to arise in the mind of the reader who has read the above section and might feel uneasy. The question is: Why do the religious laws propounded by the various Prophets differ in matters of detail even though the Prophets and their Books preach one and the same religion (din) and even confirm and support each other? Why is it that in regard to the prescribed forms of worship, the regulations concerning what is permitted and what is prohibited, and the detailed legal regulations governing the social and collective life, there is some disagreement among the various laws propounded by the different Prophets and the divine Books?
*81. This constitutes a detailed answer to the above question (see n. 80). It consists of the following points: (1) It is a mistake to think that variations in religious laws result from a difference of source. It is God Himself Who altered the legal prescriptions to suit different nations at different times and in different circumstances. (2) It was indeed possible, by divising one legal code for all human beings, for all men to have been made into one nation (ummah). But one of the many benevolent considerations keeping the religious laws of various Prophets different from one another was that God wanted this difference to become a means of testing people. Those who understand true religion, who have grasped its spirit and essence, and who are aware of the true importance of the different legal prescriptions, always recognize the Truth and accept it whatever its form. They have no hesitation in accepting the new ordinances of God in place of the old ones, in contrast to those who are not conversant with the spirit of true religion and who seem to identify it with a specific body of legal minutiae. Such people have overlaid God-given principles with their own legal deductions, and have sub sequently fossilized this entire amalgam, seeking to preserve it in its entirety. They have grown so attached to it that, in order to preserve it, they spurn every directive which subsequently comes to them from God. In order to distinguish the people of the first category from those of the second God made the legal prescriptions of the various Prophets vary. (3) The real purpose of all the divine religious laws is the attainment of goodness and righteousness. This purpose can be achieved only when a man obeys whatever commandment he receives from God at a particular time. The proper mode of conduct for people who keep their eyes fixed on this true purpose is to strive for God's good pleasure rather than quarrel about differences in the legal prescriptions of the various Prophets. (4) The differences which have arisen because of the unjustified rigidity, prejudice, obduracy and erroneous attitudes of the human mind can be finally settled neither in the debating hall nor on the battlefield. The final judgement will be made by God Himself. Then the reality of everything will be fully uncovered, and it will be clear how much truth and falsehood underlay the squabbles which whole lives were wasted over.

(5:49) Therefore, judge bet-ween them (O Muhammad!)82 by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their desires, and beware lest they tempt you away from anything of what Allah has revealed to you. And if they turn away, then know well that Allah has indeed decided to afflict them for some of their sins. For surely many of them are transgressors.
*82. Following this parenthetical clause, the previous subject is resumed.

(5:50) (If they turn away from the Law of Allah) do they desire judgement according to the Law of Ignorance?83 But for those who have certainty of belief whose judgement can be better than Allah's?
*83. The word jahiliyah (literally 'ignorance') is used as an antonym to Islam. Islam is the way of 'ilm (true knowledge), since it is God Himself Who has shown this way, and His knowledge embraces everything. In contrast is the way that diverges from Islam - the path of Ignorance (jahiliyah). The pre-Islamic period in Arabia is designated as jahiliyah because this was the era when human beings derived their norms from either superstitious beliefs, conjectures and imagination or from their desires. Whenever such an attitude is adopted, it is bound to be designated as Ignorance. The appellation 'jahiliyah' will apply to every aspect of life which is developed in disregard of the knowledge made available by God, based only on man's partial knowledge blended with imagination, superstitious fancies, conjectures and desires.

15-tips for brothers talking about "Women in Islam".

From: www.soundvision.com

Whether it's Muslim scholars, brothers at the Muslim Students' Association (MSA), or the average Jameel on the street, Muslim men also have to deal with the stereotypes and misperceptions about women in Islam.

Sadly, a number of brothers make the problem worse without realizing it, instead of clarifying the issue. This is rarely, if ever, done intentionally. However, what's clear is that some guidelines are necessary for brothers when talking about the issue of women in Islam. Here are some suggested tips:

1. Let the sisters speak
No matter how well-spoken, eloquent or intelligent a brother is, the bottom line is this: he is not a Muslim woman.
That means no matter how much you, as a Muslim man tell a non-Muslim woman how wonderful hijab is, it will be harder for her to accept this because you have never worn Hijab and you are not a woman.
Whenever possible, have sisters answer questions pertaining to Islam and women.

2. Be careful of mixing up the ideal with the reality
One non-Muslim writer once remarked how when talking to Muslims about Islam compared to the West, Muslims take the ideal of Islam and compare it to the reality of the West.
The fact of the matter is there are very ugly realities when it comes to the treatment of women in many parts of the world, including the Muslim world. Muslims must recognize the reality of domestic violence in the community, even though Islamic ideals would never condone such ugly behavior.

3. Don't sacrifice speaking out against injustice in the name of protecting Islam's "image"
"Tackle the issue and the image will take care of itself," advises Sr. Kathy Bullock, a convert to Islam based in California. Don't fall into the tendency to ignore pressing issues for the sake of protecting Islam's reputation.
In other words, if someone brings up the issue of honor killing in Jordan, acknowledge the reality but make it clear that this is a sin and a crime in Islam and as a Muslim you condemn it. This in itself is enough. Trying to justify or make excuses for it or covering it up is not going to score image points for Islam.

4. Don't respond to unspoken accusations
A number of times, Muslims automatically start an apologetic tirade defending the status of women in Islam before a person has even said a word. Let the other person initiate questions, and answer calmly and confidently. You may be responding to an accusation that was never even in the person's mind in the first place.

5. Ask WHY
Do this before launching an apologetic tirade against any accusation. For instance, a man in Spain once approached a scholar, saying he felt Islam was a man's religion. Before rebutting him, the scholar asked him why he thought this way. The man replied that whenever he looked at mosques, he saw only men.
By knowing why, you can develop your answer accordingly, and tackle the issue head-on in an honest and direct way.

6. Agree with people as much as possible
Start off agreeing with a person. It will completely turn the tables on the discussion, as many people begin discussions on women in Islam assuming Muslims are completely against the notion of women's rights.

7. If you don't know something SAY SO
If a person tells you they're from X country you've never heard of and Muslim women are treated in a horrible fashion what can you say about it?
I have never heard of that, and I don't know are simple enough. Don't start apologizing, or denying that it happens. Tell the truth.

8. Don't be condescending
In Islam, looking down on a fellow human being is a sin, whether the person is a male or a female. Don't think you know all there is to know about women in Islam, and don't speak in this manner either. Allah does not love arrogance, and only Allah has full knowledge of all things.

9. Don't interrupt
This is a problem in a number of cultures, men interrupting women and other men when they speak. Not only is this rude behavior, it takes away from your message. People are less likely to listen to you if you come across as a rude boorish individual. Don't do this to others, especially sisters.

10. Don't assume all Muslim sisters are the same
Just because your mom, who was born and brought up in a Muslim country, and has never had a problem with hijab does not mean that other Muslim sisters have the same experience.
Muslim sisters are as different as brothers, as are their experiences with issues like hijab.

11. Become more attuned to the "new Muslim woman"
Muslim sisters today are not the same as those of yesterday. Many Muslims sisters know more, and they prefer more interactive lectures as opposed to the passive style normally used. If you're giving a talk, be ready to have interjections from Muslim sisters. Welcome these, don't shun them.

12. Choose your words very carefully
If you're doing a presentation on women's issues in Islam or responding to a basic question, make sure to choose your words extremely carefully. Know the exact dictionary meaning, as well as the meaning in everyday usage. Words are extremely powerful, and they leave an imprint on the hearts and minds of people. You want that imprint to be positive, so be careful.

13. Actions speak louder than words
You can speak beautifully about women in Islam on behalf of the Muslim Students' Association (MSA), but if throughout the year, sisters have been denied access to the prayer room, or the right to participate in decision-making in the MSA, then think of how silly your talk is.Make sure your personal and organizational behavior falls in line with your words.

14. Don't stereotype all Western women
"Table dancers" or "cheerleaders" is how one Muslim sister described the way Muslims tend to stereotype all Western women. Let's not forget: we hate it when Muslim women are stereotyped as oppressed, so we should not be doing the same to others.
And lest we forget, a growing number of Western women are becoming our Muslim sisters, and very practicing ones at that.

15. Seek women's perspective on issues
You know mom, who loves you so much and makes your dinner? She's a woman. Your sister in school? She's a woman. If you're blessed to be surrounded by practicing Muslim sisters in your home, take advantage of this by seeking their views on issues like hijab, domestic violence, community participation, and media stereotypes. There's nothing like hearing the truth presented from those who truly live it.

What Does Islam Teach About Justice? Neither love nor hatred can be allowed to compromise justice.

From: http://www.soundvision.com/

By Khalid Baig

There is one word that captures the essence of all Islamic laws and all Islamic teachings; one word that describes the overriding value that permeates all Islamic values. Justice. The Qur'an says: "We sent aforetime our messengers with clear Signs and sent down with them the Book and the Balance, that men may stand forth in Justice." [Al-Hadeed 57:25].

The sole purpose of sending the prophets was to establish Justice in the world and end injustice. Broadly speaking, doing justice means giving everyone his due. But this simple statement camouflages all the complexities of life in their myriad and ever-changing relations; all the temptations; all the apprehensions and concerns; all the conflicts and dilemmas.

To guide the people, Allah sent down the prophets with clear signs, the Book, and the Balance. The Book contains the revelations that spell out what's fair and unfair or right and wrong. The Balance refers to our ability to measure and calculate so we can follow the path shown by the Book and explained by the Prophets.Together these sources taught us what are the rights of Allah, of other people, and of our own persons on us and how to balance them. A life lived in obedience to Allah, then, is a continuous balancing act, both individually and collectively.

Under normal circumstances many people can be just. But Islam commands its followers to be just even in the face of strong conflicting emotions. In dealing with other human beings, two major impediments to justice are love and hatred. See how the Qur'an teaches us to overcome the first impediment when we are dealing with our closest relatives or even ourselves. "O ye who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve, and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do." [An-Nisa 4:35]

Here is the resolution from the Qur'an of the perennial conflict between self-interest and justice. Be just, even if it is against your narrowly defined self-interest or of those very close to you. Ignorant people think they are protecting their self-interest by being unjust to others.

Their decision to be just or unjust may be based on a cold calculation of self-interest. But real faith in Allah elevates one beyond that narrow-mindedness. These verses remind us that the real protector of interests of all people is also Allah and He will protect us when we follow His command to be just. The justice demanded by Islam permits no favoritism. The other equally potent impediment is hatred. Here again Qur'an commands: "O ye who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to Piety: and fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do." [Al-Maidah 5:8]In other words you cannot do injustice even when you are dealing with the enemy.

The natural, uneducated, and uncivilized tendency is to treat the enemy as less than a human being; one who has no rights and deserves no justice or fairness. It was as true in the pre-Islamic tribal jahilya (based on ignorance) society as it is today. See how Islam directly curbs it. It is a command to the believers, with a reminder that Allah is watching you, that enmity of others cannot be used as an excuse for committing injustices against them.Justice does require retribution and Islam does call for, "an eye for an eye." But it does not mean an innocent eye for an innocent eye; it means the eye of the perpetrator for the eye of the victim. It is amazing how those who call the latter as barbaric, actually rally for the former when a real crisis develops.

Fourteen hundred years ago these commands created a society where rich and poor, friend and foe, Muslim and non-Muslim, the ruler and the ruled, were all treated equally and all of them could count on receiving justice. The qazis (judges) were independent and no one, including the khalifah was above the law. If a dispute arose between the Khalifah and an ordinary person, both had to appear in court and provide their evidence. Islamic history is full of stories of this justice that filled the earth wherever Muslims ruled in their golden era.

Even during their period of decline, we find sporadic incidents that are just unparalleled. One example from recent history may suffice here. During the British Rule in India, once a dispute arose between Hindus and Muslims over a piece of land. Hindus claimed it belonged to a temple while Muslims claimed it to be mosque. Emotions were high on both sides and the possibility of a riot was real. The English judge could not find any means of ascertaining the truth. It was one group's words against the other's. Finally the Judge asked both groups if they could trust the testimony of any person. They could. It was a particular Muslim imam (religious leader) who was known for his piety. The person was requested to come to the court as a witness in a very charged atmosphere, with the entire community urging him to help them win the case through his testimony. His testimony was brief. "The Hindus are right," he said. "The Muslim case is baseless." He had not betrayed the community. He had once more affirmed its unflinching commitment to truth and justice above all else.

That is the justice the world needs today."Allah doth command you to render back your Trusts to those to whom they are due; and when ye judge between man and man, that ye judge with justice: verily how excellent is the teaching which He gives you! For Allah is He Who hears and sees all things." [An-Nisa 4:58]
