The Like Minded.

By: Maged Taman

Among Jews, Christians and Muslims are three sides they are the like minded.

Side one is the black and white side mostly are the extrmists or hardliners of the three great religions. They are strong about their bias, prejuidace and unfair hate to the other sides. They look more to a struggle, war and blood shed as the ultimate path. They are waiting for the show down between the good and evil. They are equal in their hate and anger. They beleive in the law that to every force another force equal to in magnitude and opposite to in direction.

Side two is the one who beleive most in reason. They see the world as grey. Neither Israel or the Arab are the bad guys it is the complicated politics that led to this protracted struggles. One of the most beleivers in that is President Clinton who worked his heart and mind to try to acheive peace between both sides. Many times he would know the details more than the Arab and Israel negotiators. This second group of the like minded cares about the prosperty and justice to all people. They encompass people from different groups and religions famous are the Kennedys, many in both parties and the Europeans.

Side three is the people who are not commited to any group but many times they see what in their self interest. They encompass a lot of people who may have not even have anything in common. The Arab tyrants fall in this group they do not care if Israel exists or vanishs. They do not care about what the palastinians ambitions are, they play the game to see what is in their best interests. It also includes capitalism, which is the practical money machine that does not look how to solve the world problems but how to analyse the world of politics to protect assets and to shift it to other investments.

It is the second group that is the one who will solve the world problems. They are however more timid than the bold, high charged and many times ruthless extremists on all sides. In order to acheive peace and justice we should not be timid but brave. We may die in the middle of a random fights between extrimests, I rather die while I am making peace. Howere wisdom tells us that you do not send one cop to catch a lawless person but many cops that would overwhelm him so no shots need to be fired from either side. We need a president in 2008 to do just that to have the power of masses that in large want to see peace and enforce justices in all groups. For this president to succed he should be seen as impartial and fair. He should love justice more than his relgion, race, color or legacy or even his own mother and pretty wife in a Valantine day.

He should liberate us first from our own shakles of oppression of the interest groups and the party politics. He should be able to liberate people inside and outside without wars. To do that he will need a lot of wisdom, he will need a lot of good ideas and he will need all of us inspiring and supporting him all the way. He will need to excite us enough that his revolution will take the front pages and will be delivered by the white house from our homes.
