The amazing thing that makes millions of people convert to Islam is the very clear biography of the prophet. He was not a recluse that people do not see or talk to and left great book after he died. On the contrary people knew everything about him day by day, hour by hour and even minute by minute unless he would be asleep. The first encounter of him with the angel Gabriel is well recorded and the last words as he was dying were recorded and between the two great events every thing is known about him. The Quran was memorized as it descended to him verse by verse by Muslims around him on almost daily basis. No one saw him thinking about the verses or seeing someone dictating to him the verses. He would have the angel visit him and people can not see or he would have the verses come down on his heart and he will perspire and repeat them. He had at least 4000 sayings beside the Quran that were recalled by the people around him. He was under the microscope as we would say. People would not only make a movie in their heads what the scenes were they were actually at his time seeing him face to face. They were able to read his face, examine his life and his behavior as well ask people around him what he is all about. They would listen to the Quran from him or even like the Jews will ask about anything and he would have the angel answer them in clear verses of the Quran. It is possibly the great confidence that his message is from God with the clear confidence of the speaker of the Quran made people to believe strongly he is a true prophet. Besides the contents of the Quran which are very clear and make strong sense that the creator is the one who is talking to us. We do not see him today face to face but we are having very aware witnesses who saw him almost all time and were able to record almost everything he said. Even the way he ate and combed his hair. They were not two or three witnesses but thousands of them. It was not a slight matter to them it was huge, it is like someone will come now and tell us he is contacted by God and he has the literal words of God  that he want us to know. It was not trivial Muhammad (PBUH) told them there is life after and their will be eternal life heaven or hell they have all to gather around him, examine him and decide definitely who he was. He was not a government, organization or a group of wise people it was only him against the world. He has to tell mankind about his message starting by his close family and friends.  It was a huge task very difficult for one person to make up all of these even if he was severely delude or the perfect actor. It just do not add up particularly all his message was about honesty.  Of all the prophets and all the famous men in history we do not find something extraordinary like that.
