Story 1: Zakariya and Yahya (upon both of them be peace) – Verses 1-15

From: http://tafseer.shariahprogram.ca/maryam-1-15/ سُوۡرَةُ مَریَمبِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ڪٓهيعٓصٓ (١) ذِكۡرُ رَحۡمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبۡدَهُ ۥ زَڪَرِيَّآ (٢) إِذۡ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ ۥ نِدَآءً خَفِيًّ۬ا (٣) قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى وَهَنَ ٱلۡعَظۡمُ مِنِّى وَٱشۡتَعَلَ ٱلرَّأۡسُ شَيۡبً۬ا وَلَمۡ أَڪُنۢ بِدُعَآٮِٕكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّ۬ا (٤) وَإِنِّى خِفۡتُ ٱلۡمَوَٲلِىَ مِن وَرَآءِى وَڪَانَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتِى عَاقِرً۬ا فَهَبۡ لِى مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّ۬ا (٥) يَرِثُنِى وَيَرِثُ مِنۡ ءَالِ يَعۡقُوبَ‌ۖ وَٱجۡعَلۡهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّ۬ا (٦) Kaf-ha-ya-ain-saad. The meaning of this is known only to Allah, Most High. This story which follows is a reminder of your Lord’s being merciful upon the state of his chosen slave Zakariya (as), when he called unto his Lord silently wherein he said, O Lord, my bones, due to old age, have become weak and my head has become aflame with grey hair. That is to say all my hair has become white. This state strongly suggests that in it I should not be requesting children. However, your power and mercy are complete, and I have always been desirous of witnessing this power and wisdom first hand. Hence, in the past, I have never, O Lord, in asking anything of you been unsuccessful. As a result, there is no harm in asking even the most far-fetched of matters, and for this request a specific catalyst has emerged that I fear from my kinsmen after my death. According to my wishes they will not be able to uphold the sacred-law and serve the religion. This matter is a catalyst for wanting a child who possesses special attributes relevant to serving the religion, and along with my old age, since my wife is also barren and has never been able to conceive children even in the prime of my youth, all conventional means for giving birth are non-existent. So, in such a state, you grant me from thyself, i.e. without the medium of conventional means such an heir, meaning a son, who will succeed me in my special knowledge and will succeed the house of my grandfather Yaqub in their special knowledge. That is to say allow him to combine both preceding and succeeding knowledge (uloom laahiqah wa saabiqa), and due to acting on this knowledge, O Lord, make him a favored and accepted one; meaning let him be an aalim, and also an aamil. يَـٰزَڪَرِيَّآ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَـٰمٍ ٱسۡمُهُ ۥ يَحۡيَىٰ لَمۡ نَجۡعَل لَّهُ ۥ مِن قَبۡلُ سَمِيًّ۬ا (٧) قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لِى غُلَـٰمٌ۬ وَڪَانَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتِى عَاقِرً۬ا وَقَدۡ بَلَغۡتُ مِنَ ٱلۡڪِبَرِ عِتِيًّ۬ا (٨) قَالَ كَذَٲلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌ۬ وَقَدۡ خَلَقۡتُكَ مِن قَبۡلُ وَلَمۡ تَكُ شَيۡـًٔ۬ا (٩) قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجۡعَل لِّىٓ ءَايَةً۬‌ۚ قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَـٰثَ لَيَالٍ۬ سَوِيًّ۬ا (١٠) Allah Most High, responds through the angel, O Zakariya, We give you glad tidings of a boy whose name will be Yahya; before him in specific attributes we have not created anyone his equal. In other words, the knowledge and deed you requested will definitely be granted to him. In addition, he will be given certain unique attributes such as a special degree of soft-heartedness due to being abundantly god-fearing. Since this answering of the supplication did not allude to any specific manner of how the birth will occur, in order to seek clarification on this point he, Zakariya (as), said, O Lord, how will there be a child for me whereas on the one hand my wife is barren and on the other I have reached the extreme limit of old age. So it is not clear whether we will be given back our youth, or if I will be asked to remarry, or if the child will be granted in our present state. He pronounced, the state will be as such, and still a child will be born. O Zakariya, it is the declaration of your Lord that this matter is easy for me. What big feat is this? I have done much greater. For instance, I created you (your own self) before, whereas before this creation you were nothing. Likewise conventional means are also nothing. Since bringing out an existent from a non-existent was easy, how then, would creating one existent from another be difficult? All this was to strengthen hope, not to remove doubt; for Zakariya (as) had no doubt. When Zakariya’s (as) hope strengthened, he said, I am completely satisfied with the divine promise. However, upon the drawing near of its fulfillment, i.e. conception, appoint for me a sign so I may engage myself in increased gratitude. The actual birth itself is of course clearly observable. He said, Your sign is that you will not be able to speak to and converse with people for three nights and three days whereas you will be healthy and in good condition without any sickness, and for this reason you will be able to verbally remember Allah. فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡمِحۡرَابِ فَأَوۡحَىٰٓ إِلَيۡہِمۡ أَن سَبِّحُواْ بُكۡرَةً۬ وَعَشِيًّ۬ا (١١) يَـٰيَحۡيَىٰ خُذِ ٱلۡڪِتَـٰبَ بِقُوَّةٍ۬‌ۖ وَءَاتَيۡنَـٰهُ ٱلۡحُكۡمَ صَبِيًّ۬ا (١٢) وَحَنَانً۬ا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَوٰةً۬‌ۖ وَكَانَ تَقِيًّ۬ا (١٣) وَبَرَّۢا بِوَٲلِدَيۡهِ وَلَمۡ يَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِيًّ۬ا (١٤) وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَيۡهِ يَوۡمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوۡمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوۡمَ يُبۡعَثُ حَيًّ۬ا (١٥) Eventually, by Allah’s permission Zakariya’s (as) wife became pregnant, and as informed by Allah, his tongue was made incapable of speech. So he appeared upon his people from the sanctuary and gestured to them, since needless to say he was incapable of speaking with the tongue, that glorify your Lord in the morning and in the evening. This glorification and the instruction thereof was either due to it being a daily habit of his in that he would remind them verbally, but today was unable to so he instructed them through gesture, or in gratitude of this new blessing he began glorifying Allah himself and was telling others to do the same. In any case Yahya (as) was born. When he reached the age of understanding, he was enjoined with the following: O Yahya, take the book, meaning the Tawrah which at the time was the sacred-law (and the gospel was revealed later), firmly by making special effort to act according to it and while still a child We gave him understanding of the deen, and especially from Us the attribute of soft-heartedness, and purity of character. In hukm there is a reference to knowledge and in hanan and zakah to character, and what fallows is in reference to external deeds. He was extremely righteous and dutiful to his parents. This is in reference to fulfilling both the rights of Allah Most High and the rights of the people and he was not oppressive upon the creation, or to Allah azza wa jalla rebellious. He was so dignified in the sight of Allah azza wa jalla and honored that in his benefit the following declaration is being made directly from the presence of Allah, may the “salaam” of Allah reach him on the day he was born and the day he will pass away and the day wherein he will be raised alive. اللغات عتياً في القاموس عتا الشيخ عتيا كبر وفي البيضاوي جساوة وقحولاً في المفاصل أي صلابة ويبوسة. في الروح أصله عتوو كقعود فاستثقل توالي الضمتين والواوين فكسرت التاء وانقلبت الأولى ياء لسكونها وانكسار ما قبلها ثم انقلبت الثانية أيضاً لإجتماع الواو والياء وسبق إحداهما بالسكون وكسرت العين إتباعاً لما بعدها اه قوله سمياً أي شبيهاً لأن المتشاركين متشابهان في الإسم. قوله أوحى أي أشار النحو قوله شيباً تمييز وحقيقة الكلام وإشتعل أي فشا شيب الرأس. قوله كذلك أي الأمر كذلك. قوله آيتك الاضافة لأدنى ملابسة ١٢ البلاغة قوله وهن العظم مني تخصيص العظم لأنه إذا وهن فغيره أولى وافراده إشارة إلى الجنس ليشمل كل عظم قوله إشتعل الرأس شيباً إسناد الإشتعال إلى الرأس الذي هو محل الشيب الذي هو فاعل الإشتعال في الحقيقة مبالغة ومفيد للتفصيل بعد الاجمال. قوله رب أنى يكون لم يخاطب الملاكة مع كونه بشر بواسطتهم إشارة إلى غاية إلتجاءه إلى الله تعالى ١٢ ملحقات الترجمة في ذكر :This story which follows إشارة إلى كونه خبر مبتدأ وهو إسم إشارة إلى معهود وانما صحت الإشارة إليه مع عدم جريان ذكره لانه باعتبار كونه على جناح الذكر صار في حكم الحاضر المشاهد كما في قولهم هذا ما إشترى فلان ١٢في عبده :chosen أفاده الاضافة التشريفية ١٢في قال :wherein إشارة إلى كونه تفسير نادى ١٢في وليا :son لقوله في آل عمران ذرية ١٢قوله يا زكريا :through the angle بدليل قوله تعالى في آل عمران فنادته الملاكة ١٢قوله في من الكبر :extreme limit of إشارة إلى كون من الكبر بيانا لعتيا كذا يفهم من الكشاف ١٢في ثلاث ليال :and three days لقوله في آل عمران ثلاثة أيام ١٢ Written by Yusuf Mullan June 17th, 2009 at 5:35 pm Posted in Surah Maryam

روح الدعابة في "جمعة إنقاذ الثورة" ميدان التحرير استعاد روحه بمناسبة "جمعة انقاذ الثورة" (الفرنسية) عبد الرحمن سعد-القاهرة رغم الجدية التى اكتسى بها ميدان التحرير في "جمعة إنقاذ الثورة" في الأول من أبريل/نيسان الجاري أبدى المصريون كعادتهم روح الدعابة وحس الفكاهة في التعبير عن مطالبهم، عبر اللافتات التي علقوها بأرجاء الميدان أو تحركوا بها في جنباته، أو رفعوها إلى أعلى. فهذه طفلة صغيرة تسير مع أسرتها، ترفع لافتة تقول "مش عايزة مدرستي يبقى اسمها سوزان مبارك.. ده اسم وحش أوي.. عايزة اسمها يبقى مدرسة شهداء 25 يناير". ومنافسة لها في خفة الدم رفعت طفلة أخرى لافتة تقول "خلي بالك من ثورتك"، لتلخص بذلك الأهداف التي رمى إليها الثوار من الخروج إلى جمعة إنقاذ الثورة، وهي العمل على حمايتها من فلول النظام البائد، والمطالبة بالمحاكمة الجادة لرموزه. مطالب بفرض الإقامة الجبرية على مبارك (الجزيرة نت)المخلوع وعصابتهكما زوجته، كان الرئيس المخلوع مصدر تندر المصريين، وهذا شاب يتحرك بلافتة تقول "الإقامة تكون جبرية مش كوميدية". ومتفقا معه تساءل شاب "مبارك في شرم بيعمل إيه.. هو سائح وإلا إيه". فيما كتب ثالث "نريد محاكمة الرئيس السابق وعصابته، واسترجاع الأموال المنهوبة، وتوزيعها على الشباب .. علشان يتجوز (يتزوج)". وهذا خطاب آخر، ولكن من الرئيس المخلوع، يحدث فيه المصريين بأسلوبه المحبط "لو بتقولوا الاقتصاد منهار.. شوفوا هترجعوا كام مليار؟!" وهذه لافتة تخاطب المسؤولين "اللي يتكسف من مبارك ما يجبش منه فلوس"، في إشارة إلى أن من يتولى التحقيق في قضيته هو النائب العام المستشار عبد المجيد محمود الذي أصدر مبارك نفسه قرارا بتعيينه بهذا المنصب.. ما اقتضى من مصرية أن ترفع لافتة "النائب العام.. لا تعليق". وعندما سألها أحدهم : ماذا تقصدين؟ أجابت "لا تعليق". مطالب بمساواة مبارك وعائلته بمحدودي الدخل في معيشتهم (الجزيرة نت)العقاب المناسبأحد المتظاهرين رأى أن العقاب العادل لمبارك وعائلته هو أن يسكن في شقة مساكن شعبية والمجاري "تضرب فيها"، وأن يعمل جمال مبارك مدرسا بالحصة، ويتمنى التثبيت، وأن يعمل علاء مبارك على نظام عقد تشجير بخمسين جنيها في وزارة الزراعة، وأن تنزل سوزان مبارك إلى سوق الجمعة، وتفاصل الباعة، وأن يقدم مبارك شهادة فقر ليحصل على معاش السادات، وهلم جرا من هموم محدودي الدخل. القانون الجديد الذي يجرم المظاهرات الفئوية وتتبناه الحكومة الانتقالية الحالية حظي بسخرية لاذعة من أحد الشباب الذي كتب يقول "فئوية دي .. تبقى خالتك"! السخرية نفسها تعرض لها الحوار الوطني الذي بدأ قبل أيام تحت إشراف نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء يحيى الجمل، إذ قال أحد المصريين :"نعم للحوار العملي.. ولا للحوار الجملي"، في إشارة إلى تجاهل الجمل لتمثيل شباب الثورة والأحزاب السياسية في الحوار. رسالة لها دلالة للنائب العام (الجزيرة نت)المجلس وشرفمطالب المواطنين كانت كثيرة من رئيس المجلس الأعلى للقوات المسلحة المشير حسين طنطاوي، وتناثرت في الميدان لافتات تخاطبه باسمه المجرد "يا طنطاوي شد حيلك.. عيلة مبارك بينا وبينك". الأرض أيضا نطقت بمطالب الثوار، وعاد الرسامون ليسجلوا عليها المطالب. وهذه رسومات بألوان زاهية تتساءل "أين دور المجلس العسكري من محاكمة أولاد الكلب.. على الهوا". She will be punished by God and attacked by the Antichrist. Some of her plagues seem to come from nature but others are undoubtedly super-natural. With the wickedness of Mystery Babylon and the wrathful judgement that she receives in mind, and with all of God's end-times prophecies coming into clearer focus, it is important that this major subject of the book of Revelation is not ignored or misunderstood. According to my research the identity of Mystery Babylon, the world power which precedes the kingdom of the Antichrist, is painfully obvious. With a simple presentation using scripture and logic, I hope that this article will make the case as clear as it can be made. Which scriptures?The scriptures that mention Mystery Babylon by name are Revelation 17 and 18. However, many do not realize that there is much more prophetic material written about the fall of Babylon in the Old Testament. These scriptures are Isaiah 13 and 14 and Jeremiah 50 and 51. It is true that there is much Old Testament material that was directed at Babylon and has already been fulfilled, however, much of the above scriptures remain unfulfilled and, based on the descriptions given, could not have been meant for ancient Babylon. As a Christian scholar I believe that all of biblical prophecy is God-given and one hundred percent correct. The simple rule I go by is that if a prophecy has not been fulfilled then that doesn't mean it is false, it just means that we need to wait longer. I believe we can safely apply the Old Testament prophecies that were directed at Babylon and remain unfulfilled to the Babylon of the end-times, that is, "Mystery Babylon," and these prophecies combine to give us a very clear description of that great power. Descriptions Mystery Babylon is the lone Global Superpower- Revelation 17:1, "...the great prostitute, who sits on many waters." Revelation 17:15, "The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages." Revelation 17:18, "The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth." Revelation 18:7, "In her heart she boasts, 'I sit as queen; I am not a widow, and I will never mourn.'" A global superpower in three ways- Economic Superpower- Revelation 18:3, "...and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries." Revelation 18:11, "The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes any more..." Revelation 18:15, "The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment..." Revelation 18:23, "...Your merchants were the world's great men. By your magic spell all the nations were led astray." Military Superpower- Jeremiah 50:23, "How broken and shattered is the hammer of the whole earth!" Jeremiah 51:20, "You are my war club, my weapon for battle- with you I shatter nations, with you I destroy kingdoms," Isaiah 14:4-6, "...How the oppressor has come to an end! How his fury has ended! The Lord has broken the rod of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers, which in anger struck down peoples with unceasing blows, and in fury subdued nations with relentless aggression." Political Superpower- Jeremiah 51:44, "...The nations will no longer stream to him..." Revelation 17:18, "The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth." Revelation 18:9-10, "When the kings of the earth... see the smoke of her burning... they will stand far off and cry: 'Woe! Woe, O great city, O Babylon, city of power! In one hour your doom has come!" Major Port City- Revelation 18:17-19, "...all who travel by ship... and all who earn their living from the sea, will stand far off... and with weeping and mourning cry out: 'Woe! Woe, O great city, where all who had ships on the sea became rich through her wealth!' " Greatest and Wealthiest city the world has ever seen- Revelation 18:18, "When they see the smoke of her burning, they will exclaim, 'Was there ever a city like this great city?' " Revelation 18:16, "Woe! Woe, O great city, dressed in fine linen, purple and scarlet, and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls! In one hour such great wealth has been brought to ruin!" The above descriptions are just a few of the many biblical indicators that, I believe, point unequivocally and obviously to America as the great power known as Mystery Babylon, and New York City as the specific city destined to fall in Revelation 18. Let me show you how America in general, and New York City in particular, fits the biblical descriptions of Mystery Babylon: A Global Superpower: Economically, Militarily and Politically- The United States of America is the world's only surviving Superpower. We are the king of the hill, no doubt about it. To stay in our position of power we use bullying tactics of diplomacy, military force and economic sanctions. If the reader has been convinced by our massive internal propaganda machine (American Media) that the USA is a force for freedom, liberty and compassion, then you have been duped, bamboozled, hoodwinked and led astray. I believe that the truth, as seen from God's eyes, is that we are immoral, oppressive, self-centered and arrogant, greedy and terribly self-righteous and hypocritical. If the reader find's this hard to swallow then I suggest that he or she take some time to study 20th Century American history from a perspective other than that promoted in the media or in our textbooks. Believe it or not, America has many Political Dissidents who do their best to bring out the truth. Chief among them are the authors Noam Chomsky and Edward S. Herman, (see note on Chomsky at the bottom of the page). Find and read any of their books on politics or media. For a quick intro to what is termed the 'radical' left wing, go to Z Magazine for articles by these authors as well as others. "Z-net" is definitely a secular site, and I don't agree with everything they publish, but their perspective on the USA and its foreign policies contains a lot of truth. It will be considered refreshing or horrifying, depending on your point of view. Economic Superpower- This aspect of Mystery Babylon is the most-stressed aspect that can be found in the scriptures. Time and again we find references to the "merchants of the earth" and how they are "the world's great men." In a 20th Century context, when we speak of the "merchants of the earth" we can only be speaking of Global Corporations.It is the corporations which have all the money and it is the corporations which have all the power. Under the guidance of the USA, global corporations are attempting to convert the world to the religion of materialism and fanatical consumerism, while at the same time, with the help of the US-controlled IMF, trying to reduce third world countries into nothing more than factories which produce cheap labor and areas for the extraction of raw materials. This raping of the world's resources is being done at a breakneck pace and without any regard for the environment or the indigenous peoples. The last thing that the power brokers of America want is a world that is purely democratic where every culture has the right to freely elect their leaders, the right to form labor unions, and the right to protect their own resources. New York City is the engine that runs the economy of the world and it is the home of the majority of the world's wealthiest corporations. New York is also the home of the World Trade Center, which was started in 1960 by David Rockefeller, and also the home of the New York Stock Exchange where the rich can invest in, and make money from, the richer. With the demise of social security, the common people of America: the bewildered herd, are being tricked into gambling their future on the well-being of these global menaces as well, through 401k Plans, stocks, and mutual funds. This speculative economy will not last much longer, and when it crashes it will not be the banks who suffer - they win either way - it will be the bewildered herd. Here is an important interview of Chomsky by David Barsamian that talks about the true role of the World Bank, GATT and the International Monetary Fund, an organization created and controlled by the "merchants of the earth" and American bankers, acting in an international capacity. Military Superpower- There can be no doubt in anyone's mind that America possesses the world's most powerful military. The question then is, Has America used it in an oppressive and relentlessly aggressive manner that is described of Babylon in the scriptures? The "bewildered herd" has been led to believe that America only acts militarily when vital national interests are at stake, or when democratic freedom-loving peoples are threatened by Communism or Right-wing oppressive dictatorships, or when illegal and heinous invasions of sovereign nations take place. Most people probably presume that after America acts militarily then peace returns and democracy prevails. Not so. Here is a list (from William Blum on ZNet http://www.lbbs.org/) of all the countries America has bombed since World War II:China 1945-46, North Korea 1950-53, China 1950-53, Guatemala 1954, Indonesia 1958, Cuba 1959-60, Guatemala 1960 and 64, Congo 1964, Peru 1965, Laos 1964-73, Vietnam 1961-73, Cambodia 1969-70, Guatemala 1967-69, Grenada 1983, Libya 1986, El Salvador 1980s, Nicaragua 1980s, Panama 1989, Iraq 1991-99, Sudan 1998, Afghanistan 1998, Yugoslavia 1999. In how many of these cases has the military action resulted in a true democracy that is respectful of human rights? None. Setting aside the cases where we have acted, lets look at the cases where true democracies were threatened, where blood-thirsty dictators carried out domestic terrorism and extreme human rights abuses, or where sovereign nations were illegally invaded and we failed to act:Cambodia, Indonesia, Chile, the Indonesian invasion of East Timor, the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, the genocide in Rwanda, the oppression of the Kurds, Chechnya, etc., etc. The point I am trying to make is that American foreign policy is not motivated by a sense of morals, but by overwhelming greed. We act when our business interests are threatened, or when we can safely enter a conflict that will allow us a chance to demonstrate our weapons systems, to gain buyers for armaments made by companies like Raytheon, Texas Instruments, Textron, Northrop Grumman, MacDonnell-Douglas and Boeing. (It was statistically safer to be a soldier on the American side during the Gulf War than to be a black man living an ordinary life in an inner-city ghetto at the same time.) America: We play the role of International Policeman and Peacemaker, and yet our defense contractors and arms manufacturers make more deadly weapons and more profit than the arms producers of any other nation on earth. American media has created terms and lingo that serves as a means to our political ends. Some of the ways this is done is by characterizing rebellions against Marxist or leftist countries as being carried out by "freedom-fighters" (like the Contras), and rebellions against US supported right-wing dictatorships (El Salvador, Guatemala, Colombia, Indonesia) are carried out by "leftist guerillas" or "terrorists." American media has also created a term to describe countries which refuse to bow to Western rules and policies, countries like Libya, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Yugoslavia, etc. That term is "Rogue State." Well, here is a very informative and entertaining article by Edward S. Herman on the truly biggest and baddest Rogue State of them all. Political Superpower- Of course being the engine to the world's economy and possessing the world's most powerful military guarantees that America is a political superpower as well. However, the scriptures are pointing to something else that Mystery Babylon possesses. Jeremiah 51:44 mentions that at one time, before its demise, the nations of the world streamed to Babylon. Revelation 17:18 tells us that the city of Babylon rules over the kings of the earth. In Revelation 18:9-10 we see the kings of the earth declaring that Babylon was the "city of power." New York City fulfills these scriptures by being the home to the governing body of the Planet Earth: the United Nations. This fact alone makes it the most important city on the planet. It is from here that deals are made, boundaries are drawn, and lives are bought and sold (Rev18:13). As I write, some may be skeptical that the UN has any real power. Why question the UN's power? The only thing holding back the United Nations right now is the United States, which owes more than a billion dollars in back dues. America has consistently ignored the will of the UN, and has often blatantly acted against it. Here is an article, (by Chomsky once again), that shows how the US is often the only country in the world opposing many UN initiatives. It may appear that the UN lacks teeth, but I reiterate, it is only because its power is superceded by the last remaining superpower- the United States of America.It appears that after the sudden and catastrophic destruction of the city of Mystery Babylon that the remainder of this once great power is attacked by the Antichrist and his forces. This is recorded in Revelation 17:16-18, "The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God's words are fulfilled." I believe that what we read about here is the nations of the earth throwing off the yoke that was the power of Mystery Babylon and revolting against her, turning instead to the New Age messiah, the Antichrist, and allowing him to rule over them. Maitreya, the New Age "World Teacher" who is expected to soon appear, (promoted by the Tara Center, the Lucis Trust, World Goodwill and Share International- the latter two being NGOs accredited by the UN) is even now, through Benjamin Creme and other supporters, decrying Western culture and the society of consumerism and materialism that has been created. He appears to champion the causes of global democracy and political freedom for all, causes which are diametrically opposed to the true foreign policy goals of American power brokers. Maitreya is a man who appears to be a savior for the starving masses of the Third World, and he calls for a universal system of health care and education for all. He also supports the recent initiatives that call for the G-7 to forgive and forget the insurmountable debt that Third World countries have accumulated due to high-interest IMF loans. The USA and her global merchants and bankers consider this to be inconceivable. America's culture of materialism, consumerism and pursuit of sensual pleasures without a regard for the consequences has been inspired by Satan. The contemporary American lifestyle is his masterpiece, yet it will be his counterfeit son, the Antichrist, who will stand up and quite correctly point out its flaws, warning of the dangers to the environment of throwaway consumerism and of the shallowness of a secular lifestyle which ignores the spiritual. He will point America out as the ultimate in hypocrisy and America will suffer the consequences. Major Port City, Greatest and Wealthiest City, and City of Jewish Exiles- New York City is undoubtedly the most important port city in the world. What may not be known is that when a ship approaches the New York City harbor from the south, in order to properly conform with the shipping lanes it must aim due north straight for a municipality on Long Island named "Babylon." A tall water tower on the shoreline is used as a reference point for navigation and when a ship reaches closest to shore before turning west to enter the harbor, the name "Babylon," written on the tower in big bold letters can be easily read. According to researcher Richard Coombes, Babylon was so named by early Jewish immigrants because of their study of the scriptures and their belief that Ancient Babylon would be relocated west of the Nile. According to my research this community is the only inhabited and functioning community in the world that is known as "Babylon." There are more Jews living in New York City than in any other city on earth, and there are more Jews living in America than in Israel and Russia combined. Clearly America is the home of Jewish exiles. For further evidence that the USA, led by New York City, is end-times Babylon, I suggest Coombes' book, "America, the Babylon." The wealthiest city: I haven't researched the veracity of this statement, but I periodically hear economic pundits state the fact that fully half of the world's capital is located in New York City. This means that half of the world's money is in New York. This does not seem so far-fetched to me, given the fact that the money of the IMF and the World Bank is located here, as well as the NYSE, and many other international banks. Regardless of the truth of this statement there is not another city in the world that could come close to equaling New York in wealth, and in total wealth the USA is by far the richest nation on earth.Another point is that after World War II we effectively controlled both sides of both oceans. This fact made us the first truly global power in the history of the world. In 1948, George Kennan, who headed the U.S. State Department until 1950, wrote a then-classified foreign relations document for the State Department entitled Policy Planning Study 23, it read in part, "we have about 50% of the world's wealth, but only 6.3% of its population... in this situation, we cannot fail to be the object of envy and resentment. Our real task in the coming period is to devise a pattern of relationships which will permit us to maintain this position of disparity... To my knowledge there is no reference in ancient Greek literature that describes the hills of Rome as "seven hora," and they are always referred to as "the seven bounos of Rome." The Fall of Babylon The fall of Babylon will take place in three phases. The first will be a judgement that comes from God which results in the destruction of the "great city" of Babylon. The second will be an attack on what is left of her from the Antichrist and the ten kings. The last phase of the fall of Babylon will be her complete and total destruction at the end of the Tribulation. Phase One- The destruction of the "great city" of Babylon occurs suddenly, without warning, and when she is at the height of her power. Revelation 17:18, Before the judgements begin the city is called "...that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth." Revelation 18:7-8, "...she says in her heart, 'I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.' Therefore her plagues will come in one day." Revelation 18:10, After the city is destroyed the kings of the earth cry out, "Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come." Revelation 18:15-17, The merchants of this city, who were "the great men of the earth," cry out: "...'Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls! For in one hour such great riches came to nothing.' " Revelation 18:18-19, And all the shipmasters cry out as well, "... What is like this great city? ...Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! For in one hour she is made desolate." Jeremiah 50:31-32, "Behold, I am against you, O most haughty one!" says the Lord God of hosts; "For your day has come, The time that I will punish you. The most proud shall stumble and fall..." Jeremiah 51:7-8, "Babylon was a golden cup in the Lord's hand, That made all the earth drunk. The nations drank her wine; Therefore the nations are deranged. Babylon has suddenly fallen and been destroyed. Wail for her! Take balm for her pain..." The fact that Phase One occurs when Babylon is at the height of her power makes it clear that this is before she is attacked by the Antichrist. This is evidence that the catastrophe which causes the destruction of the great city of Babylon occurs quite early in the tribulation. The great city of Babylon may fall as a result of the second trumpet judgement of Revelation 8:8, "Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed."If this giant meteor impacts into the Atlantic Ocean then the angel in Revelation 18:21 was offering a literal description of the nature of the great city's fall, "Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, 'Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore.' " This possibility is reinforced by Jeremiah 51:42, "The sea has come up over Babylon; She is covered with the multitude of its waves." However, the next verse of this passage indicates that the final state of Babylon will be a "dry land and a wilderness." This is more evidence of a great tsunami, or tidal wave, which may strike the East Coast of the United States, destroy New York City, and then roll back leaving destruction and, ultimately, a wilderness in its wake. More evidence that the destruction of the city of Babylon comes as a result of a direct judgement from God can be found in Isaiah 13:5 and Jeremiah 50:25 which both refer to the Lord's "weapons of His wrath." Jeremiah 50:46 also records, "At the noise of the taking of Babylon, the earth trembles..." The earth would definitely tremble at the impact of a good sized meteor into the ocean. Phase Two- The Antichrist and the Ten Kings attack what is left of Babylon to forcefully bring her into the New World Order.The Bible is clear that the Antichrist will rise out of a previously established world government that is led by ten kings, "The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws..." (Daniel 7:23-25). The Antichrist and the ten kings which lead this one world government will attack Babylon to bring her into submission, "The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God's words are fulfilled," (Revelation 17:17-18). Phase Three- The end result of Babylon will be her complete and total destruction.This is made clear by a number of texts including, Isaiah 13:19-22, "Babylon, the jewel of kingdoms, the glory of the Babylonians' pride, will be overthrown by God like Sodom and Gomorrah. She will never be inhabited or lived in through all generations; no Arab will pitch his tent there, no shepherd will rest his flocks there. But desert creatures will lie there, jackals will fill her houses; there the owls will dwell, and there the wild goats will leap about. Hyenas will howl in her strongholds, jackals in her luxurious palaces. Her time is at hand, and her days will not be prolonged." Jeremiah 51:25-26, " 'I am against you, O destroying mountain, you who destroy the whole earth,' declares the LORD. 'I will stretch out my hand against you, roll you off the cliffs, and make you a burned-out mountain. No rock will be taken from you for a cornerstone, nor any stone for a foundation, for you will be desolate forever,' declares the LORD." Jeremiah 51:43, "Her towns will be desolate, a dry and desert land, a land where no one lives, through which no man travels." Revelation 18:2, "She has become a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit, a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird." The prophet Zechariah witnessed the removal of the demonic spiritual force that once inspired the ancient nation of Babylon. This woman was placed in a basket and Zechariah was told that she was being taken away to a new land where Babylon would again re-emerge. Then the angel who was speaking to me came forward and said to me, "Look up and see what this is that is appearing." I asked, "What is it?" He replied, "It is a measuring basket. " And he added, "This is the iniquity of the people throughout the land." Then the cover of lead was raised, and there in the basket sat a woman! He said, "This is wickedness," and he pushed her back into the basket and pushed the lead cover down over its mouth. Then I looked up--and there before me were two women, with the wind in their wings! They had wings like those of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between heaven and earth. For Chomsky it was a simple matter of Freedom of Speech, yet his opponents have used this incident to call Chomsky, a Jew himself, a supporter of historical revisionism and anti-Semitism. This is how supporters of the status quo go about silencing people who are gifted in pointing out their hypocrisy. I must reiterate that Chomsky is not a Christian, and although he is gifted in illuminating the past and understanding the present, his view of the future, and of what we as human beings need most, is entirely human-centered and thus greatly flawed. Saudis invade Bahrain to crush aspirations for freedom

The Bahraini regime ruled by the Khalifa family is dependent on the US and Saudi Arabia for survival. The US naval Fifth Fleet is based in Bahrain, which is a staging area for spying on Islamic Iran as well as projecting US military power in the Persian Gulf....the Saudis are petrified of people’s uprisings sweeping the Islamic East. They were upset that the US allowed Hosni Mubarak, a major lynchpin of the current oppressive order in the Islamic East, to be overthrown. Not the bravest of people, the Saudi ruling family decided to take a calculated gamble." In characteristic arrogance, the Saudi regime sent in its army backed by tanks and armored personnel carriers to the tiny island of Bahrain on March 13 to crush the people’s movement for freedom and dignity. Some 2,000 troops from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) including 1,000 Saudis were rushed to Bahrain to attack protesters that had peacefully rallied in Manama’s Pearl Square for a month. Almost immediately and without provocation, the Saudis and other GCC troops as well as Bahraini forces attacked unarmed civilians killing six and wounding 300 others. Bahraini troops backed by foreign occupation forces then moved to the various hospitals to block the wounded from being brought in for treatment. Injured patients were dragged out of hospitals and thrown into the street as troops went on a rampage. Salmaniya, the capital city’s main hospital, was invaded by Bahraini troops. Doctors and nurses were beaten up as they pleaded with troops not to drag the wounded, some with serious injuries, from their beds and dumped outside. The situation was so chaotic that even women in labor were thrown out of the hospital. Bahraini troops then occupied all hospitals in the country to prevent any of the wounded from being brought in for treatment. In the early hours of March 16, hundreds of riot police and military troops moved into Pearl Square, the stronghold of the antigovernment protest movement, using tanks, helicopters and jeeps with machine guns mounted on their roofs to expel demonstrators. Manama’s Pearl Square had become the Bahraini equivalent of Cairo’s Tahrir Square. Unlike the Egyptian military, the Bahraini army and riot police, made up largely of mercenaries from Pakistan, Jordan and Yemen, however were in no mood to tolerate even peaceful protests. A day earlier the minority ruling Khalifa family had declared martial law and forbidden gatherings of more than five people. By the time the troops forcibly evicted all the protesters, many of them women and children, the city centre was a smoldering wreck as troops repeatedly fired US-supplied tear gas shells, rubber bullets and live ammunition. “The GCC troops are for fighting against foreign forces,” a protester, Syed al-Alawi, was quoted by al-Jazeera. “Instead they are targeting the people of Bahrain.” What was the reaction of the US and the rest of the western world that has been so exercised by Libyan dictator Colonel Muammar Qaddafi’s use of force against his own people? Most western regimes ignored Bahrain’s brutality against its own people backed by foreign troops. US officials issued mild statements of condemnation but there were no calls for imposing a no-fly zone or demands that the regime stop killing its people. Nor were there calls that foreign occupation forces, mainly from Saudi Arabia, leave the island state where people are demanding nothing more than people elsewhere in the Islamic East. Once again, Western, especially American hypocrisy, stands exposed. The Bahraini regime ruled by the Khalifa family is dependent on the US and Saudi Arabia for survival. The Bahraini regime will pay the cost. There are other vices also widespread in Bahrain, all intended to serve the Americans’ needs. The rights of the Bahraini people take a back seat to US interests. The comparison with Libya is important. US Senator John Kerry said about the Libyan crisis: “The US and world community must show they will not stand by while this thug Qaddafi uses air power to murder fellow Libyans.” But Kerry and others are deafeningly silent about the brutality unleashed by the Khalifa family with the backing of the Saudis against Bahraini civilians. Is Hamad ibn Isa al-Khalifa any less of a thug or the people of Bahrain any less human than the Libyans? The ruling Khalifa family is Sunni who are a minority in the overwhelmingly Shi‘i Bahrain. But the demands of the Bahrainis are not sectarian in nature. In fact, there are a number of prominent Sunnis in the protest movement demanding reform and true representation in government. American fears revolve around losing its naval base in Bahrain should there be free elections and a genuinely representative government there. Making up more than 70% of Bahrain’s population, the Shi‘is have been denied fundamental rights while the Khalifa ruling family has usurped all rights for more than 200 years. Establishment of a truly representative government in Bahrain would tip the regional balance in favor of Iran, something the US is loathed to allow. The Bahraini ruler has alleged that the uprising had been in the making for 20 years and has foreign backing. This is a veiled reference to Iran. Quite aside from the fact that the Bahraini ruling family is a US-Saudi puppet, there is absolutely no evidence of Iranian involvement in the Bahrain uprising. Even US Defence Secretary Robert Gates was forced to admit that the US and its allies lack sufficient proof to substantiate claims of Iranian subversion. Gates told reporters: “I expressed the view that we had no evidence that suggested that Iran started any of these popular revolutions or demonstrations across the region.” Leaving nothing to chance, the Bahraini regime after forcibly evicting peaceful protesters from Pearl Square, sent in crews to demolish the six arches that make up the centre-piece of the square in Manama. The ostensible reason was that it would ease traffic congestion. There was no traffic congestion for 20 years and clearly the authorities did not realize this problem earlier. All of a sudden, this became a major issue. The real reason is that the authorities wanted to demolish the very symbol of protests. It would be like the Egyptian military moving in to demolish Tahrir Square in Cairo. The situation in Bahrain is critical from another perspective. The island state has been invaded and occupied by foreign, primarily Saudi and Emirati, troops. This is a dangerous escalation. The Saudis are not known for their military professionalism or prowess. At the end of 2009, when Saudi troops were sent to Yemen to crush the Houthis’ uprising, they were soundly defeated. So why are the Saudis flexing their non-existent muscles in Bahrain? The Saudi rulers worry that should the Khalifa family be overthrown in Bahrain, they will be next. This will encourage the Shi‘is in eastern Arabia to make similar demands and stage uprisings. This is what happened on March 10 in the eastern province, especially in al-Qatif. There was also a general call for a Day of Rage on March 11 with small rallies in Riyadh and Jeddah, but not much came of it. Nonetheless, the Saudis are petrified of people’s uprisings sweeping the Islamic East. They were upset that the US allowed Hosni Mubarak, a major lynchpin of the current oppressive order in the Islamic East, to be overthrown. Not the bravest of people, the Saudi ruling family decided to take a calculated gamble. They also hoped that their invasion of Bahrain would draw Iran into the conflict thereby turning the people’s genuine struggle for rights and dignity into sectarian strife. The Saudis are masters at stoking sectarianism in the Ummah. This is what they have done all their lives. The leadership in Iran is far too intelligent and sophisticated to fall for such tactics. Instead, the illegal invasion of Bahrain may actually hasten the day when the Saudi ruling family is driven from power. There are many people in the kingdom that know the nature of this corrupt family far too well. People worldwide have noted that it was the House of Saud that provided sanctuary to Tunisia’s tyrant General Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali to escape the people’s wrath. There are reports that the Yemeni despot, Ali Abdullah Saleh, may also end up in Jeddah, a destination of choice for all rejected tyrants. But the big question is: where will the House of Saud flee to once they are driven from power? Blogger comment: No doubt the Saudi tyrants are the prim enemies of Islam. Ali) A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 3- The Quran is from The wise and knowing (God): The most appropriate to describe the author of the Quran. 27:6 Lo! as for thee (Muhammad), thou verily receivest the quran from the presence of One Wise, Aware. وَإِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى الْقُرْآنَ مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيمٍ عَلِيمٍ (27:6) 4- The Quran is the light that guide humans: فَآمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَالنُّورِ الَّذِي أَنزَلْنَا وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ (64:8) 64:8 (Asad) Believe then, [O men,] in God and His Apostle, and in the light [of revelation] which We have bestowed [on you] from on high! And God is fully aware of all that you do. وَكَذَلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ رُوحًا مِّنْ أَمْرِنَا مَا كُنتَ تَدْرِي مَا الْكِتَابُ وَلَا الْإِيمَانُ وَلَكِن جَعَلْنَاهُ نُورًا نَّهْدِي بِهِ مَنْ نَّشَاء مِنْ عِبَادِنَا وَإِنَّكَ لَتَهْدِي إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ (42:52)42:52 (Y. Ali) And thus have We, by Our Command, sent inspiration to thee: thou knewest not (before) what was revelation, and what was Faith; but We have made the (Qur’an) a Light, wherewith We guide such of Our servants as We will; and verily thou dost guide (men) to the Straight Way, الَر كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ لِتُخْرِجَ النَّاسَ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَى صِرَاطِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ (14:1) 14:1 (Asad) Alif. Ra.A DIVINE WRIT [is this -a revelation] which We have bestowed upon thee from on high in order that thou might bring forth all mankind, by their Sustainer’s leave, out of the depths of darkness into the light: onto the way that leads to the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due. 5- The Quran brought the truth: نَزَّلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقاً لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَأَنزَلَ التَّوْرَاةَ وَالإِنجِيلَ (3:3) 3:3 (Asad) Step by step has He bestowed upon thee from on high this divine writ, setting forth the truth which confirms whatever there still remains [of earlier revelations]: for it is He who has bestowed from on high the Torah and the Gospel. وَبِالْحَقِّ أَنزَلْنَاهُ وَبِالْحَقِّ نَزَلَ وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلاَّ مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا (17:105)17:105 (Asad) AND AS a guide towards the truthhave We bestowed this [revelation] from on high; with this [very] truth has it come down [unto thee, O Prophet]:for We have sent thee but as a herald of glad tidings and a warner. 6- The Quran is created to be studied: Though the Quran is very wise it is speech, it is not a history book or chronological book. It is the pride of God to have us work our minds to find the branches of science and create the topics of the Quran. الَرَ تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ وَقُرْآنٍ مُّبِينٍ (15:1) 15:1 (Y. Ali) A. L. R. These are the Ayats of revelation,- of a Qur’an that makes things clear 7- The Quran is the miracle of the prophet: people had asked him for miracles and God made it clear that is the Quran is more than a miracle is in Arabic Basar which means sight and insight. Thus the Quran is not illusion like miracles look like but is read and written and our hearts feel and enjoy it. وَإِذَا لَمْ تَأْتِهِم بِآيَةٍ قَالُواْ لَوْلاَ اجْتَبَيْتَهَا قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَتَّبِعُ مَا يِوحَى إِلَيَّ مِن رَّبِّي هَـذَا بَصَآئِرُ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ (7:203)7:203 (Asad) And yet, when thou [O Prophet] dost not produce any miracle for them, some [people] say, “Why dost thou not seek to obtain it [from God]? Say: “I only follow whatever is being revealed to me by my Sustainer: this [revelation] is a means of insight from your Sustainer, and a guidance and grace unto people who will believe. 8- The renowned Quran: God swear by the Quran in the Quran. He described as renowned it is proved to be know and explored by humanity over ages. 38:1 Sad. By the renowned quran, ص وَالْقُرْآنِ ذِي الذِّكْرِ (38:1) 9- The Quran came with the best of stories: نَحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ أَحْسَنَ الْقَصَصِ بِمَا أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ هَـذَا الْقُرْآنَ وَإِن كُنتَ مِن قَبْلِهِ لَمِنَ الْغَافِلِينَ (12:3)12:3 (Asad) In the measure that We reveal this Qur’an unto thee, [O Prophet,] We explain it to thee in the best possible way,seeing that ere this thou wert indeed among those who are unaware [of what revelation is]. 10- The Quran is the judge between mankind: the prophet was asked to use it to judge between people and not by their desires. 4:105 Lo! We reveal unto thee the Scripture (Quran) with the truth, that thou mayst judge between mankind by that which Allah showeth thee. And be not thou a pleader for the treacherous; – إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ لِتَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِمَا أَرَاكَ اللّهُ وَلاَ تَكُن لِّلْخَآئِنِينَ خَصِيمًا (4:105) 11- The Quran is statements and all kinds of similitude: 30:58 Verily We have coined for mankind in the quran all kinds of similitudes; and indeed if thou comest unto them with a miracle, those who disbelieve would verily exclaim: Ye are but tricksters! وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِي هَذَا الْقُرْآنِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ وَلَئِن جِئْتَهُم بِآيَةٍ لَيَقُولَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُبْطِلُونَ (30:58) 12- The Quran moves the hearts: وَإِذَا سَمِعُواْ مَا أُنزِلَ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ تَرَى أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُواْ مِنَ الْحَقِّ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ (5:83)5:83 (Y. Ali) And when they listen to the revelation received by the Messenger, thou wilt see their eyes overflowing with tears, for they recognise the truth: they pray: “Our Lord! we believe; write us down among the witnesses. 13- The Quran is very powerful: using the mountains as an example to give you this impression: If the mountain can understand Arabic he would rent asunder by fear of God. Similarly it could cause the mountains to move, the earth to shatter and the dead to listen. So take him seriously the speaker is God. 59:21 If We had caused this Qur’an to descend upon a mountain, thou (O Muhammad) verily hadst seen it humbled, rent asunder by the fear of Allah. Such similitudes coin We for mankind that haply they may reflect. لَوْ أَنزَلْنَا هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيْتَهُ خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ وَتِلْكَ الْأَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ (59:21) 13:31 Had it been possible for a Lecture to cause the mountains to move, or the earth to be torn asunder, or the dead to speak, (this quran would have done so). Nay, but Allah’s is the whole command. Do not those who believe know that, had Allah willed, He could have guided all mankind? As for those who disbelieve, disaster ceaseth not to strike them because of what they do, or it dwelleth near their home until the threat of Allah come to pass. Lo! Allah faileth not to keep the tryst. وَلَوْ أَنَّ قُرْآنًا سُيِّرَتْ بِهِ الْجِبَالُ أَوْ قُطِّعَتْ بِهِ الأَرْضُ أَوْ كُلِّمَ بِهِ الْمَوْتَى بَل لِّلّهِ الأَمْرُ جَمِيعًا أَفَلَمْ يَيْأَسِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ أَن لَّوْ يَشَاء اللّهُ لَهَدَى النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَلاَ يَزَالُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ تُصِيبُهُم بِمَا صَنَعُواْ قَارِعَةٌ أَوْ تَحُلُّ قَرِيبًا مِّن دَارِهِمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ وَعْدُ اللّهِ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ (13:31) 14- The Quran is the best strive (Jihad) since it has all the logic against the disbelievers: فَلَا تُطِعِ الْكَافِرِينَ وَجَاهِدْهُم بِهِ جِهَادًا كَبِيرًا (25:52)25:52 (Asad) hence, do not defer to [the likes and dislikes of] those who deny the truth, but strive hard against them, by means of this [divine writ], with utmost striving. 15- The Quran will win over the disbelievers in the day of judgement: وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَن نُّؤْمِنَ بِهَذَا الْقُرْآنِ وَلَا بِالَّذِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذِ الظَّالِمُونَ مَوْقُوفُونَ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يَرْجِعُ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ الْقَوْلَ يَقُولُ الَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا لِلَّذِينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا لَوْلَا أَنتُمْ لَكُنَّا مُؤْمِنِينَ (34:31) 34:31 (Asad) And [yet,] those who are bent on denying the truth do say, “We shall never believe in this Qur’an, and neither in whatever there still remains of earlier revelations!”But if thou couldst only see [how it will be on Judgment Day,] when these evildoers shall be made to stand before their Sustainer, hurling reproaches back and forth at one another! Those [of them] who had been weak [on earth] will say unto those who had gloried in their arrogance:“Had it not been for you, we would certainly have been believers!”

Unlike the worldwide outcry that greeted the pastor’s plan to burn 200 copies of the Koran on Sept. 11 — which he ultimately abandoned — the event last week at the 50-member church was largely ignored by the news media. As of 2 p.m. on Friday, the video of the Koran’s burning on the church Web site had been viewed only 1,500 times. “The local strategy of everybody was to ignore this,” said the Rev. Lawrence D. Do not be half hearted when you start a war.

By: Maged Taman The Americans entered the war in Libya half-hearted and continue to fight half-hearted. Qaddafi is smart enough to know that and keep bold and unite the troops. If America to fail in this mission to protect the opposition or end with Qaddafi in power he will end by huge momentum. It is the same like when we turned down the Shia and Kurds when they have the uprise against Saddam and we left them to be slaughtered. The fear of arming Al Qada can be easily avoided they are only few there. We should have to meet the Libyan council and have treaty with them and promise not to have Al Qada elements to carry gun or to play role after winning over Qaddafi. People still do not understand that most Muslims would not like al Qada govern neither to go away now since they are the only people left to fight the tyrants. A lot of young Muslims would like to have the Qada change so they can join them or form militant groups that have different methods, tactics and play smart role than Al Qada. Going back to Libya you can not be half-hearted otherwise you will embolden Qaddafi and he will claim himself again the strong guy who conquered the west and Islamists and now he is the only hope and the Muslim savior and likely to stand strong in the next few years against the west. Do not forget he was planning to erase Switzerland from the map for a dispute between one of his sons and the law in Switzerland.

تنديد بمقتل موظفين أمميين بأفغانستان احتجاجات الأفغان على حرق المصحف تحولت إلى هجوم على مركز أممي (رويترز-أرشيف) تواصلت الإدانات على الهجوم الذي استهدف اليوم الجمعة مركزا تابعا للأمم المتحدة في أفغانستان، وذلك بالموازاة مع توقعات بارتفاع عدد ضحايا الهجوم إلى عشرين قتيلا. وأدان الرئيس الأميركي باراك أوباما الهجوم، داعيا إلى نبذ العنف وحل الخلافات بالحوار.واعتبر الأمين العام لحلف شمال الأطلسي (ناتو) فوغ راسموسن أن من أقدموا على هذا الهجوم "تجاهلوا ما تفعله الأمم المتحدة والمجتمع الدولي لمصلحة كل الأفغان".وطالبت وزارة الخارجية الروسية السلطات الأفغانية باتخاذ كافة التدابير الكفيلة بوقف العنف ضد البعثة الأممية وموظفيها. وأفادت وكالة الأنباء الروسية نوفوستي أن وزارة الخارجية أصدرت بيانا قالت فيه إن المتظاهرين هاجموا مبنى بعثة الأمم المتحدة رغم أنه لا علاقة للمنظمة الدولية بأي دعوات معادية للإسلام. تزايد الضحاياوتوقع مسؤولون أمميون أن يصل عدد القتلى من موظفي المنظمة الدولية إلى 20 قتيلا. وكانت حصيلة أولية قد أشارت إلى مقتل 12 بينهم خمسة أفغان. ولقي الموظفون مصرعهم اليوم بمدينة مزار شريف شمالي أفغانستان بعد مظاهرات احتجاجية على إحراق قس أميركي نسخة من القرآن الكريم في كنيسة صغيرة بفلوريدا يوم 20 مارس/آذار الماضي تحت إشراف القس المتطرف تيري جونز. وتحولت المظاهرات إلى هجوم على مقر الأمم المتحدة بالمدينة، وأطلق المتظاهرون النار على الحراس الموجودين هناك، كما أشعلوا النيران داخل المقر الأممي.
